I had an appointment window today from 8am - Noon. At 11am I called because no one called me or showed up. A man answering the phone said that I was next and that someone from dispatch would be calling with an ETA. At 12:01pm, no one called of showed up so I sent them an email letting them know this and to advise them not to bother rescheduling as I would be going with another company. While I was writing this review, a woman from the company called to inform me that the Tech was finishing up his last appointment and would be on the way. It is now 12:44pm. Really? I advised her that over 4 hour of my time was waited this morning already and I didn't want to take the chance that they would Not show up. She said that another electrician call out this morning and that my tech was just around the corner but I told her "Don't Bother as I would be going with another company. Saturday evening on October 25th, our lights started flickering and we lost power for about 15 minutes. This Kept happening all night. My husband flipped our breakers and that didn't seem to help. Sunday morning, half our house lost power completely. I started calling electricians. Maverick replaced our breaker box a year in a half ago so we didn't think it was the box. I called Maverick Electric Sunday to see if someone could come out and find what the problem was. I was told the first available appointment was Tuesday morning. My husband called another electrician, and they said they would send someone out Monday morning as this was a SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN! I don't think we slept for two hours that weekend. Monday morning, I left for work and my husband met the electrician at our home. The guy looked around and checked our breaker box and found that a wire had been tightened too tight in our new breaker box and it snapped. My husband text me this, and I called Maverick right away and let them know what was going on. They said they could send someone out between 12pm-5pm that day. In the meantime, the electrician at our home took a video, then fixed the problem! He even spent time checking all our outlets as this arcing could have caused major damage to our system or worse, a fire! He didn't feel comfortable not repairing this safety issue. The fee was $250. I called Maverick back and let them know the problem was fixed. I looked at my Maverick invoice for the breaker box that was installed by them in late 2023 and it has a 10 year warranty. I asked to be reimbursed. After a cat and mouse game with Christina in their office (there was not one phone call returned to me) and emailing the video the electrician took, and our paid invoice, I was told they will not reimburse us as they did not authorize the work and they agreed to send someone out Monday (only after I called that morning and stated that the issue actually was). I am very concerned about the quality of work done and further issues with our electrical system. This is not the way to handle business and the fact is, another electrician fixed your mistake and you are unwilling to do the right thing even with a 10 year warranty! ***buyer beware*** shop around and get quotes. Ask as many questions as you can and make sure your house can handle the system and that it is actually cost effective for you. We recently reached out to Maverick for a seasonal HVAC tune up/service. The technician that came out was extremely helpful and did his best to answer our questions about what a new HVAC system would cost as well as the benefits of a new system. Our HVAC is still in working condition but we are aware that it is older and needs to be replaced soon. The technician suggested that we have a sales person come out and talk with us. We agreed and within the hour in walked Johnny. First impressions of him were a used car sales person that is going to sell me the most expensive unit on the lot. And he did just that, or at least he tried to. He tried talking us into a heat pump system for 27k. Never once looked in the attic or at the electrical panel nor did he make an effort to explain what a heat pump is. Just told us that it will easily save us 40% on our utilities. After asking him if he could guarantee that 40% savings he backed up and said no but maybe like 20% but with no guarantee. Our house is an older home built in the 80's and does not have solar. After doing some research, a heat pump system is the most efficient with a solar system and without a solar system you would need an upgraded electrical panel. Without the upgraded panel the system would not work at its full potential. This is my understanding and I could be wrong but again Johnny never once tried to explain any of this to us. By the end of the day he called us to offer a "smoking deal" and give us an additional 2k off just cause the GM was feeling generous and wanted to lock us in to start work the next day. He even pulled the whole, "oh well this deal is only good till the end of the day and the GM is literally walking out of my office so let's just get this done" pitch. I told him we needed to call around and get a few more quotes. The following Monday he called again and I told him we were going to use another company. He became very upset and kept asking why. "This is a smoking deal we just need to lock this in". I told him about our electrical panel and he said, "oh I looked at it and it's fine". Funny thing is that he never went in the backyard to see it and completely lied. I called him out and he immediately changed the subject. I could feel him getting upset that we were not using his company and he abruptly got off the phone. Based on the interactions with him I will never use this company again. read more

We had quite the rollercoaster experience with Maverick. Positives: *All the technicians who came out were very friendly and professional. *John was our first point of contact, and he was fantastic. He diagnosed our issue quickly, helped us with financing the same day, and scheduled a new AC install for the next day. *The installers were polite and got the system in within 4-5 hours. *When problems came up, one of David took ownership, apologized for the oversight, and worked to fix things. Zach, the final tech, was especially kind and resolved our last issue in just a few minutes. Negatives: *The install wasn't smooth. The installers forgot multiple parts, which meant extra trips from different techs. *Right after installation, we found water spraying in our furnace closet. It took multiple return visits to finally get it corrected--first with zip ties, then with hose clamps, and finally by fixing a pinched copper line that was preventing drainage. *The biggest downside was customer service with Donny. When we called about an issue, he was dismissive and rude, telling us nobody could come out until the following week. The moment I mentioned contacting my original point of contact, Hector, his attitude changed completely, and suddenly a tech was available within hours. That interaction really hurt our overall experience. Maverick does have great technicians (special thanks to Hector, John, David, and Zach), but the installation process was messy, and the poor customer service from Donny left a bad impression. In the end, our AC is working, but it took several visits and a lot of patience to get there. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I reached out to get a quote from these people and ever since my phone has been blowing up from scam risk calls as well as their own representatives. It is my theory that they sell your information. When I answered one of the many calls and asked them to take my number off of their call list the man on the phone had the audacity to ask for my full name, street address etc to "be sure" he can get me off their call list. BS. He was fishing for more information. This was two weeks ago and I am still getting calls. We had our Air go out-- Monday 3:30 PM--- Called Maverick -- and David came by about 4 PM. He changed a fuse and it was back to normal. But the next day --same problem -- so after patching it up for another day -- they brought in Mark from Sales. He set it up for the next morning --- 7:30 AM with Tanner and Nick the installers. They arrived right on time -- even a little early. And by 1:30 PM we had a new unit installed and working. Tanner and Nick were very informative and got the job done very quickly. I booked a cleaning for my AC in preparation for summer (clean coils, vacuum out, check wires) the appoint window was 8am-12pm , they came at 130pm. During the process the cleaning foam to clean the coils (degrease them) malfunctioned. The driver had no back up and blamed it on warehouse not allowing him to order what he needed to keep his vehicle stocked. After spraying it off with water he attempted to put it back together and complete the job as is. I asked him what about all of the sludge (pic below) at the bottom and he said he would get it if I wanted him too. REALLY!? The job is simple cleaning the AC unit. All he was going to do was spray it with water and put it back together. This outer pics it's how he left it and apologized for not being able to do a complete job, then in the next sentence asked for payment. What a joke. Didn't even bother to reschedule or correct the problem. I contacted the office and gave them a chance (a day) to at least reach out and speak with me about this issue. They have not. Do not recommend. (He did vacuum out the sludge /debris in the bottom after I commented on it) 3/21/25 UPDATE; Owner called today and is not happy (which is a good sign) he wants/is trying to correct the issue and make it right. Plus my microwave has been leaking oil and it leaked into the outlet as you can see from the photos it burned through the wire. Justice came out at the scheduled time. Absolutely do not, ever, contact this company. A couple of years ago I was shopping for electrical services and reach out to Maverick for a quote. I ended up going with a different company. The problem is that ever since them Maverick has been spamming me with marketing calls. I have asked more than four times for them to remove me from their call list, and they refuse. That's not including the marketing calls I have declined. This is not a good business to work with - save yourself the headache and never contact them even for a quote. read more

Contracted for rewiring/repair of solar panels and replacing inverter(given to me by solar as warranty). received a quote of $4789.00 was able to get it down to $4500.00. Technician came and worked on for about 3-4 hours replacing the inverter and wires but they could not get the system to produce power saying something else is wrong and advices to keep the system turned off asked me to pay the full $4500.00 and suggested the most cost effective way is to replace the whole system, telling me to fix it would require a lot of man hours and just would cost too much without the guarantee of it working. So I called around and talked to a guy named Rene Torres of SUPERIOR SOLAR. We discussed about qoutes for new system but he also strongly suggested that he come and look at the system insisting that he could fix it and charge me $675.00 and if not that would go towards credit for the new system, I was hesitant since I just shelled out 4500 for what I thought was basically nothing, but decided 1 last gamble and scheduled the repair and lo and behold Rene was able to fix it and said the other guys didn't know a lot about what they were doing. Rene even had to move connections to have the system working properly. This prompted me to call Maverick (called the guy that I was in contact with for the job contract several times, left a message on voicemail and then the main office before I received a text about my request for reimbursement) ask them to reimburse me $675.00 which the not so willingly did. So I would not recommend this company for something other than simple wiring and electrical jobs. read more

Kyle came out to check out the issue with our HVAC unit because we weren't getting heat. He realized the issue, had technicians come out the following week to replace and swap out the old for a new, which was difficult due to tight space indoors and rain pouring outside. I felt bad for the technician, yet they were both extremely respectful and professional. The work took a few hours, but worth it because we have an updated unit and have heat! The unit is much nicer, nothing rattling inside or loose and the guys made sure to clean up and vacuum after themselves. I appreciate your service! read more

We had been happy with our previous HVAC company for 7 years, but after a recent routine maintenance service call, a salesman from that company showed up and tried to sell me $40K worth of brand new HVAC systems for both of the homes on our property, even though the tech who did the maintenance said everything was fine for now. Needless to say, I wanted a second opinion. Having enjoyed their ads on the radio, I called Maverick Heating and Air. The tech who arrived, Jonny, was wonderful. After a thorough evaluation of our equipment, he suggested that the fan motor on our Carrier AC unit was still working fine, but was probably not going to last much longer. Thursday comes, the wife and I cut our day super early to be back in time. We wait 5 hours and hear nothing. I call them the next day (Friday) and find out they rescheduled for Friday WITHOUT CALLING us. So not only did they cancel and not update us, but they went ahead and moved it to a date and time of their choosing WITHOUT contacting us to see if it'd even work! I messaged Maverick to get a quote to add a breaker and some outlets in my garage. I got a call back from them after a day. The lady on the phone started to get basic information about the work to be done. After getting some basic information from me, she asked how I would pay. I was confused and asked if I could get a quote. Maverick charges a $120 "diagnostic fee" to come out. I went ahead and told the lady I was no longer interested. I can understand a fee to come out if something was wrong with my electrical and they had to diagnose or troubleshoot something. I wouldn't want to do that work and have a guy YouTube a fix afterwards either. This is was for new work. Install additional electrical which I stated what I wanted. Other companies were able to quote me after I sent pictures of the panel and garage. Just a crap shoot to pay $120 and possibly be quoted a higher than competitor price. read more

Professionals - but ridged and not flexible. Higher side on the pricing. Had an emergency call for Maverick to come out to resolve a sudden power outage in two bedroom. They charged me for an emergency same day fee of $199 which was understandable because it was same day and it was quite late. The technician came in for 30 mins - did some test found out my two room was linked to a GFCI outlet due to how the previous owner wired the house. All he had to do was hit the red and white button on the outlet to resolve the issue and they charged me and additional $95 to hit one button, I personally think it's a little unreasonable but hey it's a service, I asked them to come out and I'll pay. But I'm sharing with y'all you'll most likely run into similar situations. A reasonable tech would waived or just charge $25 bucks for this and I would be more than happy to pay- but they weren't willing to negotiate. I'm sure their workman ship decent but pricing on the high side. read more

We had Maverick install a new Heat and Air System, and we could not be happier with the service. Kyle came out and gave us a quote, we negotiated a bit, and it worked out. He told us about the different options, based on our home size and detail, and suggested the best overall package. He also let us know that there were great rebates for this system, so we have that to look forward to! (maybe use them for some other services with the extra $) =) DANNY and MATT came out to do the install, and they were seriously the most professional, educated, and respectful crew one could ever ask for. Danny explained things to us in Laymans terms, so we knew exactly what they were doing, and it was A LOT. We changed our system in entirety, so they had to cut out, put in new ducting, etc. etc., and they had patience like no othere. They were super clean and were so cautious with our 'shiny and breakable' items! Then, Joey (Emit) came out and took care of the electrical part, he was fabulous as well, and took care of everything we needed, AND then some!
