Due to the field of work I do, I am a perfectionist for detailed work from those that I hire. The guys from Energy Monster did a fabulous job on my 4kw LG system. Installers were Tim & Lyle. All conduit was run beautifully and the all black LG panels look great. All work was done in one day! My sales guy Kevin definitely was knowledgeable about his recommendation and placement. We were told that we did not have any insulation in our home at our energy assessment performed by Brian. Because of the style of our house, we were also told in no uncertain terms that the insulation would have to be put in from the interior of the home. So we spent weeks preparing by pulling everything off the walls and packing up my husband's small collectibles and moving all of the furniture in every room to the center. And we had to remove the beautiful real wood paneling in our dining room so that they wouldn't drill into it. It's the good stuff, not the cheesy 70s stuff. When the insulation company came, they drilled holes in four different rooms. Every room had insulation. We then had to patch and paint every hole and put everything back where it came from. It was a horrible experience with very little in the way of an apology from the company. When the team came to do the insulation and discovered that it wasn't needed, they asked who had done the evaluation, and when we said Brian, they said that that made sense. Apparently this isn't the first time that something like this has happened to someone. That is shameful! They did nothing to help our energy consumption. read more

WOULD GIVE THEM A ZERO IF I COULD... were hired by RISE Engineering, RISE sent them back TWICE because they did not PROPERLY finish the installation of the attic insulation. Their so called professional installation caused my ceiling damage and THEY PAID to have it replastered, which CONFIRMS they were at fault. NOW, it needs to be painted and they want to send their own team ( WHO MESSED UP MY CEILING IN THE FIRST PLACE) back to paint it!!!!!! WHY would I allow these UNPROFESSIONAL individuals into my home AGAIN???? We got a quote and they REFUSE to even return our calls on the subject! My house is messed up worse and NONE of this would have been an issue if they had not screwed up the original installation!!!!! DONT HIRE THESE CLOWNS! read more

I recently has a 10.8 kw system installed on my home by EM. Our solar system has been active for 3 months now and so far I'm pretty happy with the decision. When Kevin initially contacted me, he clearly explained the process and their engineer Dan and the rest of the install team was professional and easy to work with throughout the process. I'm a big alternative energy advocate so it made sense for me. I've already recommended them to a few friends and think if it's something you're interested in learning more about you should give them a call. It is time for me to update my recent​ comments about Energy Monster. I spoke with the owner an general manager. Albeit reluctant to listen, I did hear a sincerity to make things right. We had them come back to the residence. A third party company identified​ the problem and Monster Energy picked up all cost and performed all the needed improvements. it really was quite nice to see how professional the team performed. They assured me that all problem employees that were on my job have been terminated. Given their sincerity, follow through and my current experience we would recommend and​ say now they have converted me to a fan!!!! read more

We had previously worked with Energy Monster on a Mass Save audit and then having them add insulation to our house. This time, we had the guys from Energy Monster back again to perform an electrical upgrade on our house (100 to 200 amps) and then install five ductless mini-splits for more efficient heating/cooling than our ancient terrible radiators. Despite dealing with a lot of obstacles -- a heat delay due to several 90 degree days and then tons of rain that prevented them from doing the outside work on the days they wanted -- the whole team was professional and efficient and made the most of the time when the weather finally cooperated! (Plus, my dog loved the whole crew and they loved him back.) It has been such a pleasure to work with Energy Monster as we turn our house into the energy efficient home of our dreams. Thank you!! Energy Monster performed our MassSave audit, MassSave insulation work (recommended by the audit), and a 10kW Solar installation all within a 3-month time period (Nov 2018-Jan 2019). All three projects went well and we are very happy with the quality of work and all of the employees that we've dealt with. The Solar installation was very well executed with almost no exposed conduit, clean wiring, detailed system monitoring, and more attractive (and efficient) panels. We also had an EV charger installed as part of the package. I was able to work with their designer to balance aesthetics with efficiency and am quite happy with the results! We are looking forward to saving lots of money on oil and electricity for years to come! After our first full month with our solar system, we already had a credit on our National Grid bill. read more

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Energy Monster! We had a fairly large installation of ductless mini-splits installed, along with removal of the existing system, and everyone involved were very professional and skilled. Not only did they get the job finished when promised, but in fact after I got my heat loan so quickly they moved up the installation by a week. The Mitsubishi AC units have had a good workout with the recent hot weather, and they are working great (and are amazingly quiet). Highly recommended! read more

Not impressed. We had signed up for an energy evaluation at the Whisker Walk last week. The appointment was made for today at noon. I am a personal trainer and rescheduled and canceled clients so I could be free when they came. 2 HOURS before the scheduled appointment they called and said they weren't coming and that their employee at the Whisker Walk shouldn't have booked the appointment. Needless to say I am livid. They had all last week to call and reschedule this. Now I have inconvenienced my clients for nothing and lost money. I find this VERY unprofessional and I will never use them. read more

Signed the contract 5 months ago and still no operational solar panels. Took two months just to get the panels up. Now the building department will not pass the inspection for various reasons. The person who was working on my job quit and left the company so looks like be up to year or more before I can get the panels operational. Save your time and money and go with a trusted company. read more

Over a year ago, we contracted with Energy Monster to put solar panels on our house. All we have to show for it is a ripped-up wall, thousands of dollars in additional expenses, and an ever-lengthening list of excuses for why the work isn't done. Avoid this company! read more

Let me start off by saying that the actually energy audit that I had scheduled, went fine. Technician was nice and did his job. Although, I was promised a detailed report by the end of the same day, I did not receive one. I let about a week go by and tried to get a hold of someone at Energy Monster via their online email system. I receive a response but still no report. Just that a person would get in touch with me soon. Another week goes by and still no report or courtesy call. Again, I email them and I get response with the general managers information and that he would contact me. Never got a call or email from the manager. It's not until I threatened negative reviews that I finally get a call which I missed but promptly called back and left a message. Now it's the next day and I still haven't gotten a call back from the general manager. So I had enough and stuck by word and now writing their review. I would definitely, definitely, definitely, stay away from this company for any energy consultations or audits. It's just a very bad business. Their are plenty of other great companies out there that have better reviews and more experience in customer service. Very frustrated with this company. Do yourself a favor, go with another company and save yourself a headache. read more

When it comes to insulation, Energy Monster is the best in the business. We had our home insulated by these guys and not only were they extremely professional and polite but so clean! You would never of even known we had our whole attic insulated and sealed. They also added a nice touch when I referred my aunt to Energy Monster and they sent me a $25 gift card - class acts! read more
