Stopped in for the first time after dropping my car off at Protech down the road. The restraint is tucked in the back behind another business but you can't miss the sign from the street. The first thing I noticed is how friendly the host and my server were. I sat at the counter and ordered my standard breakfast (#5 on the menu) eggs, homefries, toast and choice of meat (bacon, sausage, or linguinca) with a coffee. The coffee came in a full size cup and was topped off when I was running low. I appreciate a big cup and it never getting to empty, so bonus points for that. The food was solid. My eggs were done to my liking, the toast was a perfect shade and I believe they used real butter. The bacon was crisp. My only negative comment were the home fries and it's really not anything big, it's a preference. I am a minimalist when it comes to homefries. Potatoes and onions. That is it. Any other spice is not for me. These potatoes were covered in a strong spice. They were fine if you like that sort of homefries, but they were not my favorite. Next time I'll just order something that doesn't come with homefries. Overall a nice experience. read more

This place was very busy tonight! They are only open on Friday nights, but open for breakfast and lunch the rest of the week. They have very good food, a rather large bar, and many tables, which were all full this night. My meal came with a choice of soups, or a salad. I had the salad. My meal was a breaded chicken cutlets with gravy, and I chose mashed potatoes (with more gravy) and butternut squash. It was all so delicious. My husband ordered a grilled chicken club sandwich, however, he got the fried breaded cutlet. He could have sent it back, but didn't, primarily because of how busy it got!! He still liked it. The English Muffin is an outstanding breakfast location. The food comes out fast and is plentiful. They give a great portion for the price and I would say it is a delicious and a value. Service is always with a smile and efficient. The only downside would be that you might have to wait. This place is simple diner food but it is good! There's typically a wait so if you have a larger party, try to call ahead. It can get pretty loud in here because it's small, but they do have a cute outdoor area as well. I'm not a breakfast person but when I get the odd craving, this is the only place I go. They have tons of options to fit anyone's diet and everything I've had is delicious, including the breakfast burrito, pancakes, stuffed French toast, bacon, sunny side up eggs with Italian toast, and corned beef hash. They do not service alcohol so don't expect mimosas, which is the only thing I wish were different. They have weekly flavored coffee specials and the flavors are pretty unique and always delicious. Unfortunately today I had one of the most uncomfortable dining experiences I've ever had. I've. Even coming here for years without issue. Today a family member of one of the employees came in. Skipped the line and sat at the bar. I can understand that to an extent but what made me uncomfortable was the female bouncing all around the bar and kitchen and restaurant taking pictures of everything. 1 someone who doesn't work here shouldn't be going in and out of the kitchen. 2 I'm paying to sit and enjoy by breakfast which is very hard to do with a camera going off constantly. 3 at minimum you should let your customers know of photography happening. My friend recommended we meet here for breakfast as it's in between where we both live. I have to say I had driven by before and was thinking it would be very dated inside, nothing impressive on the outside. Particularly with all the charming breakfast places that are in the area of Providence Wow was I surprised. it's a darling spot. we had a booth. the service was amazing, which by the way, the place was packed. The food did not disappoint. It has everything on the menu you could possibly want. I was even surprised by a wonderful latte with almond milk. We've been living in the area for 1.5 years and finally got around to trying this place out. We are glad we did! This is a review based on the breakfast - we did not try any lunch type foods. It was about 1/2 full there when we arrived and were seated by a very nice woman. Off the bat a perfect 10 on the queer-o-meter. Love that. Our waitress was prompt with coffee and tea. (And water) the coffee was much better than I was expecting. A sold cup of "diner" coffee. We got everything in the picture and a corn muffin that's not in the pic. The breakfast was a good portion. I got the egg sandwich with ham. And it was a 1/4 of a ham steak on there. OMG love that! The bagel wasn't anything to write home about but it was good. Home fries were good to - I like mine with a little onion and diced peppers but I realize that's not everyone's gig. So that's a toss up. The French toast muffin was grilled with butter and great. We came for breakfast as a party of 4. There was a 40 minute wait. The place is clean and our server was good. I had the omlette special, egg whites, tomato, spinach, and feta. I had it with a side of cinnamon apples. It comes with toast and homefries, but they allow substitutions. It was $65 for the 4 of us, which I felt was high for breakfast. The food was good though. Someone, years ago, recommended English Muffin to me. It took awhile for us to get there (I'm not the biggest fan of breakfast) but, once we did, hubby & I were hooked. Open for breakfast & lunch every day, dinner until 8pm on Friday. I order the same thing every time - Ham & Eggs #1. A huge slab of baked Virginia ham, two eggs your way, home fries & your choice of toast. For me, it's always two eggs over easy, switch out the home fries for regular fries (although both are outstanding) & grilled English muffin. I eat half when I'm there & take the other half for another meal later. Hubby is hooked on the special of the day omelets. This time, it was a HUGE omelet stuffed with chicken, portobello, spinach & cheese with home fries & your choice of toast. We were both full until dinner! Get there early or come later, it is incredibly busy at brunch time on the weekend. I've been here a couple of times and for some reason I have ordered hash both times. It must be a very appealing on the menu but when I get it after having ordered a grilled it is crunchy on the edges and has a little flavor. The middle is soft and mushy. Not what I really have in mind. I went with Mike and my daughter and two grand sons and they really enjoyed their food. The service wasn't very good. I don't mind waiting because I understand this help is hard to come by but I would like the service to be friendly. I did not find this to be true. We had a decent meal and enjoyed each other's company but I don't find anything here to rave about. Came here for breakfast this past weekend. Had to wait a little bit for a stable and the staff was super nice and communicative. My 4 month old needed to be changed and there was a changing table in the woman's bathroom with a garbage pail underneath which was super helpful! I got eggs over medium with bacon, home fries and rye toast. Everything was cooked really well and home fries had a great flavor. Will definitely be a spot we come more often for breakfast. I have been to the English Muffin many, many times. However, I'm never overly impressed, and I love going out for breakfast. Their portions are large, but I can make breakfast just as good at home. Their home fries are always under-cooked and tasteless to me. Their pancakes are far too large and heavy. The wait staff is always too busy so you feel rushed and often sit with empty glasses. The only plus is their flavored coffees which they have in both hot or iced. Most breakfast places just have regular coffee, so having the flavored it nice. read more

Service was friendly and prompt - coffee refills were a bit slow, I had to ask for it but the coffee itself wasn't bad. We haven't been here in a while. The last time we came, it was mid-morning on a Friday and they had already shut down the poaching water so I couldn't get my eggs Florentine. Today, however, we got there super early, and we were happy with everything. The service was quick, the coffee was great, and the food was delicious. I got my eggs Florentine - which is one of my go to meals when we're out for breakfast. The spinach was well cooked and seasoned and the hollandaise sauce was great (and it didn't take over the whole plate, which was even better). My husband said his hash was great, but daughter loved her Mickey Mouse pancake and bananas and the price of everything was super reasonable. We don't come here super often because it's hard to get our act together with young kids, and after a certain time here there's always a wait. But when we do come, it's always great!! read more

I love this breakfast spot, it's mom and pop and not very huge but always very busy especially ok the weekends. A nice little touch they have is complimentary coffee and Italian cookies while you wait. It used to be that you just pack like sardines in their small waiting area and they added a nice touch for the outdoor seasons, seating under a pergola while you wait. There's always been at least a 20 minute wait whenever I have gone so don't go starving. They have something for everyone, hungryman style breakfasts, espresso drinks, specials on a board. I ordered the 2 eggs, toast, home fries and pancakes - I swear there had to be at least 3 eggs on my plate and I regret ordering that single scrambled egg for my little one because she could have just had some of mine. I also got her a bagel and a side of roasted apples (it's like apple pie filling with a lot of cinnamon). What a lovely place. It is right off the main road fairly close to I 295. It is a stand-alone building with plenty of parking and 2 parking lots. They have a waiting area and tables outside. You enter by the door with an awning and are greeted by a hostess who, in our case, took out name and the number in our party. We waited outside as the seating area was very nice and it was a beautiful day. We were seated within about 5-10 minutes. THere are booths, open tables and counter seating. We sat at one of the tables for four in the center of the restaurant. THe waitress took our drink order. She returned with the drinks and we ordered. I decided to try the BLT on pumpernickel. Wow. It came out quickly (~10 minutes) and was delicious. The prices were reasonable, the staff was great and the food was excellent. Definitely stop here if you are in the area. read more
