We are definetly regulars here for breakfast every Sunday! Open till 2 pm . Great clean restaurant right next to Tasca Jeep dealership on Hartford Ave! Wanted to try a new local breakfast spot for myself, SIL & son. Needless to say, we found it. The restaurant was clean and I like the ambiance. Customer service was friendly and she checked on us for refills quite often. I was pleasantly surprised. Really hard to mess up breakfast food and they did not disappoint. They didn't do a good job checking on tables. I brought my dad there since I was getting repairs done for my Jeep next door. They did a good job letting people know the waiting time when walking in. Food was decent. The linguica looked like Kielbasa with the color then the regular close to red linguica I'm use to. Food was ok. Service was a little less then desired. The waitress did not check on us. Had to yell when she walked really fast to pass by us. My dad wanted water with his coffee and I had to share my water due to lack of attention or service not being provided. The only time I saw her was getting drinks and place the food on the table and that was it. Disturbing was that we waited too long for the check. I walked to wheee the register was to pay there and while I was signing my credit card payment the other waitress, my waitress that never paid attention to us, throw the pen right at where I was. The pen cup was next to me. She could of placed the pen there and said excuse me! Rude! I won't be there again. Service not my cup of tea. From the outside, it seems like there is slim pickings for parking...even inside seems small until you walk into the back. I ordered the hash and eggs (scrambled soft with cheese) and cinnamon apples. I liked the hash, it was good, nothing super special. I think the eggs could of been softer and seasoned but it tasted good. Well, it's just not good at all. Service is so bad. We had multiple waitresses come over to take our order. There seems to confusion about who owns which tables. And it wasn't busy at all, so I don't know why they were confused. Waited 20 minutes for the check. They need to get their heads out of their asses. Oh and the food is BLAND. You're better off just staying home, for real. Don't waste your time and money. We found all the waitresses to be quite rude and dismissive. Not going back. read more

Once again we enjoyed a delicious breakfast Friday morning at the Lighthouse. The staff are always friendly and willing to chat for a minute. Our server Connie is always very attentive to us and always asking if we need a refill on our drinks or coffee. Food is always hot as well as the coffee. We come frequently - perhaps 4-5x per yr. and the food is always consistently good. We especially like the French toast and hungry man dishes. Our friends have liked the omelets too. Another highlight to us is that the home fries are fresh potatoes that are heavily seasoned - not oily or fried! Expect a wait on the weekends - we usually hang out in their crowded hallway a good 10 minutes before being seated. Also, tip the waitstaff well - they always do a great job. read more

I wanted to make an honest review about this restaurant so I ate here 3 times so far and I will say that the food is delicious. You can taste how fresh the meats and veggies are. Although I believe that the dishes themselves need more. There's a pattern of using the same ingredients(veggies for example) but with a different main star in the dish. Names of these orders are creative and alive but I feel as though the dishes themselves require more thought. The staff is warm and welcoming right when you walk in. They also seem to be pretty on top of their food orders when they first come in. I didn't find myself having to wait as long. read more

The waitress had no customer service skills at all. Young mid to late 20s black hair, attractive but her attitude and the energy she puts off is so hideous. I already feel sorry for the person she dates or gets married to and has to live with her. Reading previous posts about her on here and I'm not the only person that has encountered this person(s) at this place. Hiring her to be a front line employee was not a good choice. Have visited several times with my mom. We don't get to see each other too often so we eat breakfast and chat. Honestly we can chat for hours. I've always felt the staff is snarky and some are even rude. Reading the reviews I see it's a common observation. I noticed when we came last week that we were being treated coldly which I thought was odd. Service is awful but I always tried to control my mouth as my mom wouldnt appreciate me makong a full blown scene. Every time we come, we have to ask for things we should just have on the table (and that's IF your waitress even comes back!) Today was unreal and I'm dumbfounded. When we walked in we were told to have a seat and once a table opened they'd tell us. Nope. People who came after us, sat right down. To make matters worse...a waitress literally walked up to my mom and I and I quote "are you going to be here for 3 or 4 hours today, because if so I'll put you in the back" My mouth dropped which is no good considering all the flies in the place. Gross. I was so embarrassed and FURIOUS. Is this how they treat paying customers? Yes, my mom and I sit at the table and sometimes lose track of time but ummmm....really? This girl has rubbed me the wrong way several times but today was the last straw. The food is bland, service has always been horrible and staff is RUDE. Owner really should take a good look at his staff. Maybe explain that without us they have no job? Left a tip that sent a clear message and we will not return again. What a shame. Sad really. Dull Breakfast This will be a short review. My wife and I went to breakfast and I ordered the 2.99 special. She ordered a breakfast sandwich. The food had little taste, but how can I complain with a 3 dollar breakfast. My wife's sandwich was dry and nothing special. The first thing that I wanted to say is all of the wait staff is wonderful. I have been going into the lighthouse for about 20 years. This review is in regards to the unhappy customer review below mine, Leo G the review that he left is completely untrue. I was there and witnessed the whole thing. I am a regular at the lighthouse, and this man called one of the waitresses who has been there for 15 years a f***ing b****. She asked him if there was a problem with the service because he comes in all the time and doesn't tip any of the waitresses. He told her there was no issue with the service but she is a F***ing b****. He was completely disrespectful, and she remained professional. He is a driver for GrubHub and complains to the waitresses. When the food isn't ready they aren't cooking it. Also to add if you can't leave a tip for waitstaff, maybe you shouldn't go out to eat because waitstaff relies on tips. Breakfast menu is limited but covers all the basics. There are omelette, pancakes, French toast and several Benedicts. I had the Big Cheese omelette to which I added mushrooms. It was very good. I was happy to have the choice of hash browns or home fries. Also, the menu offered turkey sausage. My date had 2 eggs over easy with bacon and hash browns. We were both pleased with our meals and they kept our coffee cups filled. Sorry but no photos because I was really hungry. read more
