This is our favorite breakfast place. I'd go every week if we could! We have never left unsatisfied in any way. Food is flavorful and plentiful. Service is always pleasant with a smile. Tanya goes above and beyond to make us feel right at home. The homey feel inside gives a nice vibe. It's small and it can be busy. So if you have to wait for a seat, expect to wait outside or in your car. Try to get a seat away from the door because it can be chilly. We've been just my immediate family and then have brought other family with us and whether a party of 3, 4 or 6, it's a nice time and a soul warming meal. Stopped in around 9:30 this morning (Sunday) for the first time after looking up suggestions for a new brunch spot to try. They were already pretty busy, but we lucked out with not having to wait for seating. The Irish eggs benny was one of the better Benedict's that I have had and my husband opted for the Dump Omelette. He noted that the home fries were the best he has ever had, but next time would choose a different meal. The unisex restroom was completely out of toilet paper, and could use some attention. A Very Popular spot on Plainfield Pike the Griddle can have a line out the door! An extensive menu including some alcoholic optioned breakfast drinks, the Griddle is worth a try. We found the service friendly but busy and the ambiance on par with other breakfast spots. I had a Burger but wished I chose a breakfast option instead. Came here for breakfast and it was typical no frills experience. We sat at a table off to the side and the wait staff was very nice. I would say it was a bit hard to get their attention when you needed something because of how the restaurant is oriented but not a huge issues. The food was good. Lots of nice drink options. What a great little find. Breakfast/lunch spot with tons to choose from. We had a giant salad; enough for two meals, one had eggs benedict which were very good. I had a steak sandwich that was delicious! We would go back again. Good service. Rest room could have been cleaner. read more

We've eaten at The Griddle numerous times and it's always a great meal. They have amazing seasonal specials, today we had the pumpkin pancakes! They offer boozy drinks which make any breakfast better! Convenient location with limited parking. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. Despite being busy, I don't feel like they rush us. If you go on a weekend morning, there is often a wait and you'll have to wait outside or in your car. The wait just speaks to the how good the food is! read more

Cute little spot on Plainfield Pike. Just moved to Scituate so we decided to check this place out. It definitely stands out from the other breakfast places with the fact that they have adult beverages. An assortment of boozy coffee specials and mimosas. Def a cool spin. My husband got the hash and eggs, he said it was very good. I got the Pike platter. The pancakes are ENORMOUS. And they use really nice quality bread for toast. Clean, friendly staff. Very tasty food. I got the Harvest French Toast ($9) which tasted like fall. They give you 6 slices of texas toast which is a good amount of food for the price, even though I prefer challah or brioche. I also ordered two eggs, homefries and toast ($4.50) which was very good. I ordered takeout and I was told it would take 30 minutes. When I went in, I could see why, it was very busy. All the waitresses were very nice. One waitress greeted me right when I entered and two others asked if I needed help. I wouldn't eat inside there though, it's pretty small and the tables are too close together for my liking. On a Saturday morning, it wasn't busy at all--which was so surprising to us because of how cute it is! The decor is farmhouse styled and very clean. I also love it because it's not the type of diner where you smell like the diner food all day after being inside. We ordered hot chocolates, corned beef hash with scrambled egg and toast (absolutely delish!) and my friend ordered eggs and sausage. The homemade hash was amazing! My first time here and got front row parking! At a first glance, the sign is nice and the restaurants very clean when we walked in.. a change from the last place that was here. The place was packed and bustling. We were greeted and sat immediately. We started with a round of specialty coffees.. Pumpkin and Cinnamon Hazelnut. The menu is a typical breakfast menu with a couple extra nice choices like Avocado Toast and Gluten Free Bread. I got the Ham and Cheese Omelette with Cinnamon Raisin Toast and Homefries. The omelette was moist and ham thickly cut. The homefries are aromatic and just as tasty with a hint of fresh herbs. The Biscuits and Gravy were savory and the biscuit fresh. We got an extra pancake stuffed with banana.. it was light and buttery. I'll be back for more friendly service and tasty food! read more

Hopefully they are just getting their act together as a new restaurant. We waited to get seated on a Sunday morning which is not unusual but when we waited for everything else it was too much. We were seated at a table that wobbled so much that they had to pull it out into the aisle twice to get it to sit right. It turns out that the table top was not properly attached to the legs. We had a 4 year old with us and we hoped that we could get him something to eat rather quickly. That was impossible as it turns out that everything was slow, from ordering to getting coffee to finally getting the food. We were reassigned to never returning and then we got our meal. The food was excellent and served very nicely. The hash was delicious as were the pancakes which is how I judge a breakfast restaurant food. I hope that they get their act together because they have excellent food to serve. read more
