This place was packed! But we were able to get a table next to the big windows and I wasn't mad at that. The waiting staff were attentive and friendly. They took are drink orders and handed us menus right away. After taking our food order, our food came out within 15 minutes. The French toast was crazy good! Honestly I probably just could have eaten that and been satisfied. The Philly omelette was okay, I have to say the same for the home fries as well. If you're use to seasoning then you'll be let down but salt and pepper helps here. The toast was just right and helps keep you full. Overall, the food was good. WOW, a ridiculous range of choices - it was hard to believe how quickly the order came out with such a range of choices. I had the pulled-pork (WHY FOR BREAKFAST?) - umm, because the server recommended it as the most popular - which became clear after the first bite. Be prepared to wait to be seated at this very popular breakfast spot. Also bring cash! The choices for everything seem endless. There were 6 of us plus a toddler. Everyone but the 11 year old ate well, he is a notoriously poor eater. He did take his French toast with blueberries home but was unhappy that the blueberries touched the butter. An old storefront entrance with wood floors and chairs, it is quite comfortable. AJ's has been serving up sustenance to the community for as more years than I know. You never know, you may run into someone you haven't seen in years there!! The food is great, VERY consistent, accurate and lots of it!! And it's surprisingly FAST!! Don't let the line at the door deter you, you'll be seated quite quickly. Now make SURE you check out the pastry case next to the register, awesome selections! The person seating us planned to take us into the back but she saw us eyeing a table being cleared in the window and offered it to us. That level of awareness is unusual in a busy place. A seemingly endless offering of iced coffees. We had chocolate cappuccino. I'm not much for flavored coffee but had to try it. It was good. Wife had the scrambled omelet with ham, cheese and spinach and loved it. Took half home. I had eggs over easy with bacon and home fries. Maybe the best breakfast potatoes ever. My family and I were in Warwick attending a wedding...clerk at front desk from hotel highly recommended this restaurant. At first glance the restaurant didn't look like it was big. We thought we had to wait a long time to be accommodated (especially on Sunday late morning), but low and behold, there was a back area to sit more patrons! The hosts were very courteous and attentive to everyone. The food was delicious and perfectly portioned, and the price was very economical. I even bought a couple of their homemade muffins. The food is amazing and comes out SO fast!!! (One time my friends went and said their food came out quicker then their drinks- that's how fast it is!) AJ's is a hit! I moved in the area not too long ago and every time I passed AJ's there was always a wait outside and I was like wow, they must be good. So one day I decided I would bring my sister and we would give it a go. Luckily there was no line and we were seated promptly. Everyone here was so nice and greeted right away. I ended up getting French Toast raisin bread, I've never heard of this in my life and I am so happy I now know where I can get it made and it will be delicious. Since then we have come back 1 other time to sit down and I have ordered ahead and picked up and each time I very much LOVED my food. The only issue is you need cash, they are cash only. Came in today for breakfast with a buddy and once again AJ's never fails to serve up a quality breakfast! The place is clean and comfortable and a throwback to a classic 80's restaurant.
