Checking was easy as well. Once I entered in the hotel lobby, the front desk gave me a key card to enter the P level where the spa is. The spa front desk was friendly. Note: They charge an automatic 20% gratuity when you check in. I was escorted to the locker room (which is on the smaller side) and given a robe, towel, and slippers. I was then escorted to their Relaxation room. The Relaxation Room had pretty limited amenities. Basically just water. I think it's more of just a holding room before your massage. My massage therapist was, Denisse. She was super sweet and professional. I expressed in the beginning that I liked firm pressure to get rid of the knots in my shoulder area. She was only able to maintain that for a little bit and then it was more gentle strokes that were relaxing but didn't do anything to release my muscles. Not a bad massage, just different. Afterwards I checked out the sauna in the locker room. It was off so it took some time to heat up, but since I came on a weekday, I had it all to myself. The gym was a pretty standard hotel gym but had free weights, treadmill, spin bikes etc. It was actually on the larger side and had a great view. I didn't get a chance to try the steam room, but they had that available as well. I also didn't get a chance to lounge in the pool area, but I took a peek and it looked really nice and no one was even out there (it was a Thursday afternoon). My takeaways: -Easy booking and relaxing experience -Not really worth full price. What an amazing massage. He was on point from the initial meeting through the end of the massage, continually checking in and working through the knots in each muscle group I had tightness in. It left me feeling refreshed and wished I could have spent more time with him. Definitely a place to try when in Miami or go to frequently if you live here. I was originally at the Pembroke Pines location since 2008, and eventually started going to North Miami. I usually had a massage at least once a month. I sent my family and friends to see Andres. I recommended people to Andres and bought gifts cards for people to see him. I've been asking for almost 2 months where he is and everyone was playing crazy. Today I hear there was some corporate decision made, and he was let go. That is absolutely unbelievable he is an amazing person and one of the best massage therapist I've had. I'm not sure when the corporate structure took over but over the past few years everything seems to have declined. The ambience (there really isn't any anymore) and the maintenance of the place is not the same. The recent and continuous corporate changes have changed the entire operation. The the worst part is that everything seems to boil down to making money . They now have a system for leaving tips for the massage therapist that requires the customer to pay a fee to leave the tip. That seems insane to me. The straw that broke the camel's back for me was that for almost 20 years they've called the day before to confirm appointments. I had an appointment scheduled and had not noticed, and did not receive a call. When they called me at the time of the appointment, they told me that the policy had changed and that corporate had directed that the front desk was no longer to make those calls. They also didn't advise of the change.I wish "corporate" well because you need a heart to go with all the corporate brains, and without it, these kinds of corporate policies can end this business.
