I came into the store today with five kids. We were interested and what these guys were doing and it was a real treat. In addition to getting free samples we got some education on Kiefer and the way the process of making these drinks works.The owners were really helpful and explain the whole process to us in a way that was very accessible to the 8 to 12-year-olds. Root beer, yum! So good and good for you! Probiotics! Great flavors and super helpful! They can tell you ANYTHING you want to know about kefir water and alkalization and all of the health benefits. The root beer flavor is fabulous, we even made some root beer floats with it that were super tasty and healthy-ish! Lemon ginger is soooo good and refreshing too! The turmeric flavor was surprisingly sweet and spicy, very good, very beneficial for your body. The green algae one was one of my favorites. They'll let you sample them all too so you know what you're buying and educate you on all the benefits! It's not just kefir drinks they have though, they also have a lot of alkalization products, even shower heads and bags to alkalize your water! read more

Every time I come through Sebastopol I like to stop into the Kefiry to get the best organic probiotic kefir beverages anywhere. The whole family loves it. They have probiotic popsicles too. I'm devoted to The Kefiry. I'm in there, returning my empty bottles and picking up new full bottles every week. If I go out of town, it's with an ice chest and a bunch of Kefir water on ice. I don't know how to say this without it sounding like hyperbole, but this place has literally changed my life. I have Crohn's Disease, so it's difficult to keep my micro-beastie population up in my digestive system, but a cup of water kefir a day does it for me. I love the hibiscus and the jasmine the best right now, but I've had other favorites before and I'm sure I'll have other favorites in the future----because you just can't go wrong here! I'm, also, devoted to my alkaline water filter. It's the only water I drink. I feel so much more hydrated and my delicate body system seems to respond well to the alkaline environment. Plus, Jeffrey and Tom are just lovely people----everyone in this shop is lovely. I like to bring my out-of-town friends here for tastings, too! It's such a fun experience and much more my style than the usual Sonoma wine tasting trip! read more

Kefir is a fermented Dairy beverage! This isn't it at all, not even close. This is closer to kombucha instead. These drinks are non-alcoholic fermented beverages, akin to new age soda pop, but much more expensive. We tried them all, & very few were even potable. I'd much rather have hard ciders, especially at these prices. Anything goes in sebastopol, & at any price also, sad to say. There's a fool born every minute. read more

I find their drinks are very refreshing. The Pharmacy caries their drinks on tap. A great combination with food . Great substitute for soda.

The kefiry has great drinks. It's hard to find kefir anywhere else. They tend to be busy and will spend time with each person sampling and talking about kefir. read more

Tom and his staff are gung ho passionate about what they are doing. Their craft beverages, where the fizzy is produced by natural fermentation rather than by mixing in carbonated water, are the bomb! Too bad they don't have locations all over America and they don't ship, yet. I give them lots of credit for what they are doing, their product is truly healthy and the flavor combinations are so subtle to dazzle even the most discriminating palate. I tried one of their root beers. The taste was remarkably terrible. It was sort of like watery medicine. At least it was carbonated. So carbonated in fact that it spilled over for over a minute upon opening. read more

From the first time I came in, the folks behind the counter generously offered tastes of all their wonderful elixirs. Chocolate = Delicious!
