However, they will try and talk you into getting a loan financed through Exeter Finance, LLC, and then refinance with another choice loan company or bank if you choose. STAY AWAY FROM EXETER FINANCE! They are a predatory lending company that will bleed you dry, repossess your car over one missed payment, ruin your credit, and profit from your loss!!!!! Look them up. A ProPublica investigation revealed that auto lender Exeter Finance offers loan extensions as a way to make profits from borrowers who can't make their payments, but the company doesn't clearly disclose how these extensions increase the total cost of the loan, leading to confusion and increased debt for borrowers. Many customers reported that they didn't understand the financial impact of these extensions before agreeing to them, with some being surprised by significant additional charges and even losing their cars despite making payments. read more

I purchased a 2020 Toyota Corolla on 3/18/2023, and I had what I thought was an amazing sales experience. I was so happy and left a great review on Google. The vehicle looked and ran fine at purchase, and then the problem came. My front bumper began to pop out on the driver side about 2 weeks after purchase (outside of their 7 day buyback guarantee) but I didn't really pay much attention to it. I would pop it back in and go on about my day. On 4/14/2023 I noticed it was popping out on the passenger side as well. I attempted to pop it back in on that side but it was not budging. I decided to call the dealership on 4/17/2023 to explain what's going on and they said there is nothing they can do because it's outside of the 7 day period, and that it didn't do that when they sold it to me - OF COURSE IT DIDN'T. It also did not show oxidized paint on the window panels when they sold it to me - but that's another story for another day. I went into the dealership, and they had someone look at it who admitted that it looks like someone tried to repair it before, as there was glue and black tape under the bumper and a regular screw holding it all together instead of the clips/retainer that were supposed to be there. I had not touched the car or went to get it fixed - so therefore it was sold to me like that and someone down the line HAD TO KNOW. They claim that they have such a rigorous certification process but if it was so thorough this would have been caught!! Please run the other direction, but if you do buy from them, THOROUGHLY inspect every single nook and cranny of the vehicle so you won't end up like me. read more

Very long story, simply their service is pretty bad. I was in the process of purchasing a truck and it needed to be delivered from MA or something. I explained to them that the truck had to be here by a specific day or cancel the same. As time approaches, I called my sales man to cancel and got no reply, I then called the MA office to cancel and they said I had to talk to my sales man in VA. I then sent several emails the same day tell them to cancel ASAP and please send back the deposit. No reply. Called 4 more times and no reply. Next day I called again and they finally answered and told me that the truck already left and can't be canceled. I explained to them I just got off the MA office and the car had not left. They then told me they would call back to confirm. They never called back. 4 days later I got a call that the car arrived. I explained to them again that I had canceled before car shipped and demanded my deposit back. They said they will investigate and get back to me. 1 month later I reached back out and they acted as if they had no clue. They told me a a manager would get back to me the next day. Never heard back. 8 months later they still have my 600$ cash. Per MA. I had certainly canceled before the car was shipped, complying with contract. read more

I rented a car from Enterprise and upon returning it learned that they also sold used cars at a separate location. I was interested in purchasing a small car so I decided to give it a try. There are knowledgeable Account Executives assigned to you to assist in not only in finding what you are looking for, but also by making sure they are meeting your needs. The closest location to me was Woodbridge, (though not convenient.) since the Account Executive (not sales person) was so personable and accommodating, I agreed to drive to the location to have a look around. Most vehicles were around 38K miles or more. There was a nice combination of cars that were clean, decently priced and showed well. There was never pressure to buy and Dave, my assigned Account Executive, was very professional and knowledgeable with the variety of vehicles. If I could rate Dave separately, he would receive 5 stars, however, I'm not sure if it's because this is a no haggle business, I felt while waiting for Dave, no one wanted to help me. I did finally get assistance after a short wait, but my first in house impression was not a good one. read more

The only thing positive about this experience was my sales person Eric Daniels. Everything else you could say was beyond horrible. I called after seeing the van I wanted online. I got Eric on the phone told him what van I wanted to see. He said that van was at another location but he would get the van for me to see it. He said it would be there for me the following day. I made an appointment for 12:30pm to meet Eric, and see the van. The following day I arrive Eric has me sit down, the first thing he asks is are you sure thats the van you want? Right then I knew something was wrong. We talk, and talk finally he says we can get some of the qualifications started to save time in case I want to purchase the van. So I fill out the credit app, and they appraise my trade in. The manager on duty comes up with my trade appraisal and says we have a different van with 10000 more miles, and it's 500 dollars less do you want that one? I was like no ?!? huh ? Well the van you want is at another location, and we won't bring it here unless you buy it ?!??! Bait and switch at it's finest. So I asked why I was told it would be here, and when could it be here? He said gimme a few minutes, that turned into an hour. When he came back he asked why I didn't want to buy the van without seeing it? Ummm Because it's a used van, not all the vans are going to be in the same condition like a new one would be. Then he tells me he got me approved for a rate that is double what I got approved for previously, and the day before at another dealer. When I asked him is that the best rate you can get me? He said I don't know?!?! I mean wth!!! I know your thinking at this point why didn't I walk away? Well I do but the really I stay because I need/want this van. So he comes back after checking to see if I can get a better rate. He found a rate almost half of what he originally came with. So I said ok I'm Ready to move forward if the van meets my approval. I just need to see/test drive it. He agrees to have the van brought down the following day by 12:30pm. So I leave, and the following day I wait for a call. Finally I get a call saying the van is there. When I arrive the van hasn't been inspected or checked out yet. I'm told we will do that now ASAP. So I wait, and wait while the van is checked out. Finally when it comes back I go out to check it. The tires on the rear of the vehicle are mismatched. They are also the cheapest tires you could imagine, and the passenger sliding door is making a grinding sound. Also the van had so many scratches that were touched up poorly it looked like a cat attacked it. I go on the test drive, and the vehicle drives like I would have expected. I come back inside and say if you'll agree to have the tires replace with matching ones like on the front, and fix the door I will take the van. But I want that in writing they agree but say they would need to keep the vehicle overnight to fix it. I say ok let's do the deal. The paperwork literally took three hours to get done. It was printed with my information incorrectly after all that time. I had to resign all the paperwork twice. Only to leave after two days with no van. Also the kicker is they told me they would give my the promissory more for those items, and didn't. Fingers crossed. Fast forward two days on my arrival to pick the van up to my surprise!!! The tires are still the same!! It looks like they also just sprayed a heavy grease on the door. I bring it up to my sales person he says I can't ask the area manager Erin she's not In. I tell him this is the third day of me missing work I can't stay any longer. Have her call me asap please. I get on the highway 20 minutes later, and the whole vehicle vibrates at highway speed but only in the back where those tires are! I call, and call, and call, and call. Erin's busy , Erin's in a meeting, Erin's not here. So I'll just have to cut my losses. I'm in sales , and we have 48 sales people. We drive 30-40k a year. So we get new cars every two years. You can be assured none of my sales people will be buying from Enterprise ! read more

I liked this place! My mom needed a new car. I have always like the idea of getting a car from a rental agency because I knew they had to be good. They have to, after all maintain them since they rent them out. And I knew they only wen to a certain number miles before selling. The reviews on Yelp were very favorable and the prices from what I saw were very reasonable. When we got there, we were passed off to another salesperson because ours was overbooked. We went over a few cars for my mom to test drive. The sales manager made her appearance and talked to us about my mom's trade which was really in woeful condition. So we gave her the keys and went off on a few test drives. The first was horrible... a really small half bubble... it was so small and had no pick up and I felt unsafe for my mom... then we tried an Accent. I liked it much better and she did too. Of course I wanted to try some more but she was getting nervous and this whole experience was for her to 'feel safe' and secure with a decision. She decided on the Accent. We got a very fair deal I think for my mom's... The sales manager came out and said that there were no values for my mom's car because it was so old... lol... so she asked what we were looking to get. I quoted a fair deal and she added a promotion they had going on at the time. My mom put a bit more down, and off we drove in her certified car. They took the numbers and came back with at least three or four different payment options. It was a very easy and unpressured experience. I highly recommend Enterprise Car Sales an option to anyone seeking an affordable used vehicle. Car salesmen in the past have told me a former rental car decreases the re sale value, but I fail to see the logic behind that... and have no way to debate it right now. Bottom line, I would recommend these guys in Woodbridge; and lovely female sales manager; good experience. So yay, they didn't take advantage of my elderly mother (of course I would not have let that happen any way...) and it was a pretty brief, straight forward process that took less than three hours. read more

I was in the market for a Chevy Impala and found one for a great price in Pittsburgh. Zach and Caleb helped me get the paperwork rolling on a Thursday night and by the following week, I drove off their lot with my 2016 Impala. The entire staff was super courteous and the financing team had everything squared away within minutes on day of purchase. I would highly recommend this office (Caleb and Zach in particular) and Enterprise overall whenever you're in the market for a used car. Had high hopes to start with, but I end disappointed. When will people learn that the reason for customer service is customer sales... Keon was unprofessional and behaved ignorantly - he ran my credit without my consent, though I had already made it clear with the finance person I was working with, that my application was not to be submitted until I gave the go ahead. I hadn't even picked out a car and I had no idea who Keon even was. On top of that when I called and spoke with him, he was rude, sarcastic and gave me an attitude. He first lied and said it wasn't him. Then he proceeded to tell me how not credible it was that my credit score had been dropped 18 points from his inquiry - typical ignorance. Maybe you should ask FICO that, since they're the ones who sent me the alert via my myFICO app. Then they have this "petite" man named Eric, who had an interesting sense of humor. I did too, when I went next door to Cowles Nissan and bought a brand new Altima for just 1K more than terrible condition used model they were trying to throw on me. Just bought from here today, from Mr. Eric Day. The store is under construction, replacing the old Malloy Mitsubishi (thank goodness), so it's not much to look at right now. This doesn't matter much, as the staff there are friendly and willing to help you with what you need. Example - there was another guy trying to buy a car from another salesman at a desk next to where I was. The customer was having some trouble getting car insurance and called what seemed like 10 different insurance companies to get quotes, and wasn't having much success. The salesman, though he looked ready to start biting his nails off, kept his patience and offered to help the guy by narrowing down what seemed like the customers best option and speaking with the insurance company for him. Prices are no haggling, which makes the process smoother and allows more time to focus on more appropriate details. Prices are also cheaper than the "other guys" (begins with car ends with max). We spent close to a couple of hours checking out two vehicles, test drove one. Mr Day didn't seem in a hurry to go over the details of the vehicles (which he did pretty thoroughly, and is important before you drive something new so you know where all the controls are). He also didn't mind the route we took on the test drive. This was so much different, and better, than other dealerships I've used previously. I felt more relaxed and was able to take the vehicle (along with Mr. Day) where I thought the roads would be more appropriate for the type of road test I was looking for. I also had a trade-in. I didn't get much for it, and didn't expect to. Their inspection and appraisal took maybe half an hour. After that, they set up the paperwork, which is all your standard power of attorneys for changing ownership on the title, and the odometer statements, and the bill of sale (contract), and the warranty information - which, by the way, since Enterprise sells the rentals they use after they take them out of rental service, and they only use rentals until they hit around 30,000 miles, and/or a couple years' use, most still have time left on the manufacturer warranties. Kind of nice. All said and done, I was there for about 2 hours, from start of sale to driving away in my new-to-me vehicle. Much easier and friendlier process than I've experienced at other places, and a LOT quicker. I'll also note that I already had pre-approved financing through my bank, so that probably saved some time. All in all, I would recommend doing business here if you're looking for a used with low miles and a low price. read more

I sought the advise of a trusted colleague, who happens to be a commercial lender, when I found myself in the position of needing to purchase another car. Unable to work with me as a "consumer" borrower, he HIGHLY recommended that I get in contact with a sales rep with whom he was familiar at the Enterprise Car Sales, Woodbridge, VA location. I'm sorry to say, however, that I am extremely disappointed with my overall experience. Here's why: 1. I found a car on the Enterprise website at a location in Maryland about 15 minutes from where I live in NW DC. After making contact with the sales rep and telling him that I was going to the closer location just to SEE the car before coming to Woodbridge, he took it upon himself to have the car transferred to his location so as to ensure that I would not make the purchase at the MD location. I was livid! But, because he had come so highly recommended, I continued moving forward and arranged to make the 50 mile round trip to Woodbridge JUST to find out if I even liked the car. 2. Once I decided that I did in fact like it, I made it very clear that I wanted to keep the number of hard inquiries on my credit to a minimum; only one, if possible. I monitor my score, knew that it was good and since excessive inquiries can lower a credit score, I didn't want to do anything to jeopardize it. The finance manger looked me in the eye and ASSURED me that in fact, they ONLY DO ONE inquiry and shop that one credit report among the network of Enterprise lenders. I wound up with a total of 5 inquiries when it was all said and done. 3. I had no intention of purchasing the same day I went to see the car but I made it clear that I wanted to move forward with the transaction. We established that I would submit my credit app online and take care of as much preliminary "paperwork" ahead of my making another trip to Woodbridge to finalize the deal. I submitted my app the next morning but didn't get a response until late that afternoon. When my sales rep finally returned my call, he was excited to tell me that I was approved. What he hadn't told me was that the car, the one that I found, that had been sitting in MD for some time before he had it transferred to Woodbridge, had been sold shortly after I left the showroom, the day before. He immediately tried to blame his very aggressive colleagues. Both he and the finance manager implied that the fault was actually mine for not buying right away. I say, there is a greater likelihood that the car would not have been sold had it NOT been transferred to Woodbridge until I'd had a chance to see it and request the transfer which would have then locked it in for me. Either way, I'm sure they realized that by not telling me it was sold, moving forward with the inquiry on my credit and getting me approved, I would be less inclined to go elsewhere. Of course, they were correct in that assumption. 4. I searched the website again and after finding a comparable car that I liked in another state, I had to pay to have it transferred to VA. Given the circumstances, I felt the dealership should have paid or at least only charged the cost of transferring it from the MD location. They did not. Again, there had already been an inquiry and I was approved. Angry as hell, I pressed on.. 5. Despite knowing that I am a small business owner and would be using the car in the course of conducting business, the finance manager attempted to sell me a Gap Insurance product that CLEARLY states would not honor claims for vehicles used for business. When I questioned why he was trying to sell me a product that I could not use, he claimed that he had not been trained to know anything about this exemption and went on to say that he had sold the same product to business owners in the past who never had a problem with making a claim. I believe that there is an expectation that most purchasers will not take the time to read their documentation. 6. The finance manager also sold me an extended warranty. Before my 7 day buy back period was up however, I re-read my documents and discovered that there was an unchecked box that needed to be checked in order for the the warranty to cover business vehicles. Every document had to be redone and over-nighted to me to be resigned with the box checked on the extended warranty document. Again, he claimed to have not been trained to know anything about this box or any exemptions with regards to vehicles used for business purposes.I do not understand how someone whose job involves selling these extra products could not have been "trained" to know the details of the products yet alone not have completely read and understood the text of the products he's responsible for selling. Perhaps the training does not involve "understanding" them at all, but instead only how to convince people to buy them. Will I buy from Enterprise again? Doubtful. But if I do decide to do so, at least I now know what to expect. read more
