    car not sold! Still there listed $300 lower!

    I had one of the most disappointing dealership experiences ever at Kona Ford, and I feel compelled to warn others. I drove 2.5 hours with the intent to test and possibly purchase a 2021 Toyota Venza Hybrid I saw listed online. Before making the trip on July 30 2025, I asked for updated photos and an honest disclosure of any cosmetic or mechanical issues. I was assured by Christian Holguin -- described by staff as "the best" -- that the car was immaculate and in such good condition he'd "sell it to his own mother." He even sent a video walk-around to confirm. Upon arriving, we test drove the car, it indeed was very well kept and immaculate. Yet while driving I noticed a subtle thumping sound. Christian acknowledged it and agreed to drive it on the highway while I observed from the passenger seat. I now felt a knocking sensation under my feet that seemed drivetrain-related and requested a mechanic's inspection. Christian said he'd see if one was available while 'I'm here', i was grateful for that. Yet when he left for 15mins, speaking with three individuals who looked like Management for about 15 minutes, and brough no mechanic. In fact, when he returned, he told me, "he had some really really bad news for me and he feels just awful", BUT the car had just been sold! How? I asked, we were just driving it? Oh yeah, he said -- while we were on the test drive. I was stunned. I had confirmed availability the night before AND the morning of (pics to show and video from my cell to his), and this turn of events seemed highly suspicious. I left disappointed and frustrated, having taken the day off work to drive 6 hours! That night, I checked online reviews (which i should of done from the get go!!). Guess what? No sale. Found the vehicle still listed, now at $300 less -- which strongly suggests this was a tactic to avoid addressing possible mechanical issues I'd flagged. After reading other reviews, I've learned of many similar scenarios have happened to others. It feels like a calculated bait-and-switch approach: once questions arise about a vehicle's condition, customers are told "sorry, it's sold." Dishonest. Unethical. A complete waste of time. Consumers deserve transparency -- especially when making major financial decisions like buying a vehicle. If this dealership treats serious buyers like this, what else are they hiding?

    It took months for Koons to resolve one of my issues and after several calls and talking to multiple people it finally was resolved.

    I went in on a Sunday and ordered 2 new tires. The employee who ordered the tires for me was great…read moreand told me the tires would arrive Wednesday. Because I rely in my vehicle for everything, I immediately shifted my schedule around to accommodate. The next day I received a call from a shop employee named David who told me my tires would be in the next day and then proceeded to recommend services that I needed. After receiving that great news I adjusted my schedule and looked forward to getting my car sooner. The next day I called the shop to check on my car and was told my Chris that my tires wouldn't be arriving until Wednesday and that that's been the note in my file since Sunday. I explained that an employee named David called me and told me that my tires would be done on Tuesday and he explained that he couldn't see any reason why David would have called me and told me that. Chris offered a discount as an apology while the phone. I picked up my car when it was ready, and the same employee David came up to my husband and told him I had 2 bent front rims. I found it very interesting that he didn't bring up my bent rims when we were on the phone on Monday and that my rims were suddenly bent after I complained about the employee lying to me over the phone. The discount Chris offered over the phone was also not given at the time of payment. Looking into possible legal options now. If you want employees calling you and lying about when your service is done, go here. If you want people being shady with your vehicle, go here.

    Went to get my tires rotated on Memorial and understandably they were closed but there was no signs…read moresaying they would be. Again went the next day and hour before closing and they could not fit me in. Seems like these guys "mail it in."
