SO HAPPY!!! My ego was a bit hurt when all I had to choose from was a Dodge minivan, or a Ford Flex. The staff (still friendly & genuine LATE AT NIGHT), politely reminded me that the Flex "give the driver a bit of swagger," causing us all to laugh. A suburban was $10.99 more per day, so I (RELUCTANTLY) chose the 2019 Dodge minivan, which... PURRED LIKE A TIGER! ACCELERATED QUICKER THAN NASCAR! The staff at the airport location is friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra to help. They get the 4 stars. I wish I could say the same for the customer service staff. They get 0 stars! I have had 2 occasions where I needed roadside and both times have been disgraceful and unprofessional to say the least. The first occasion I had a dead battery and was outside in 20 degree weather waiting hours for help. I placed numerous calls and kept being told I had to remain with the car and wait for help. Well after 3.5 hours the service tech had to watch a video when he arrived to see how to start the car. The second incident was a leaking tire. Help was never dispatched, I drove 9 miles on a bad tire and then was charged for the road service that they never performed. Again the crew at the airport are wonderful but lord help you if you need roadside assistance. read more

When asked about returning an hr later than set time, Sam gave me his card and said tell them to call me if any issues. I was able to make a reservation mere minutes before picking up a one way rental car at Enterprise Albany NY Airport! The process at Enterprise was smooth & quick and I was pleased with the Chevy Malibu which was offered to me. I also appreciated that the manager was kind enough to take the time to show me how to lower the backseats of the car as I couldn't figure it out. Know that the car was very clean and they even provided a Clorox Wipe in the car! I did not ask for a paper receipt and I do not think they come standard anymore, so I advise double checking your Pick-Up & Return times as well as the Gas Tank Level noted on the digital paperwork, as this effects the cost of the rental. I love that they are open till 11:30 PM, 7 days a week. If you can get the Enterprise phone app, I highly suggest it as it makes your rental experience that much better. read more

A very smooth and pleasant experience deserves nothing less than 5 stars. My fiance and I needed a rental to make our trek down to NJ and the staff here did an excellent job. The gentleman behind the counter was extremely professional and I appreciated his offering an EZPass for our car as it made a world of difference getting through all the toll plazas easily. I have rather low expectations for rental car companies, as I usually have problems and rarely get treated well or to a fair resolution. So, when I picked up my car and it was dirty, I wasn't surprised. But, when it (Nissan Versa Note) stayed at 2,500 RPMs for a good 20 minutes going at 30 mph out from the airport, I was shocked. However, after the guys who helped me made sure I hadn't been in the wrong gear or had the e-brake on (I didn't) quickly exchanged my car. Unfortunately, it was another dirty Note with the same acceleration issue (which is apparently common per online reviews, and the cold of January in NY didn't help). The only other issue I had was frost on the inside of my side windows despite trying to keep the car hot, moderate or cold... which made it impossible to change lanes on the highway. But, after day one, that didn't happen again. I'll chalk that up as a fluke. When I returned the car, the girl there asked how the car was. No stranger to being honest, I told her the issues--including the fact that the transmission issue quickly took away the efficiency of the vehicle--and she asked what she could do. I actually didn't expect or ask for anything, as it's the car that sucked, not the service at this location. So I was surprised when she offered to make good on it (while other locations where I did ask for compensation tried tooth and nail to resist giving any). However, she insisted, so I accepted. ;) She shaved off a few bucks, which paid for about a 1/2 tank of gas (at today's $2.50/gal) and turned an already decent experience into a great one. So, why not 5 stars? Well, a car shouldn't be dirty when you get it... or at the very least should have clean windows so you can see. Bottom line: one of the best experiences I've had not only with Enterprise but car rental companies in general. read more

Service overall was good at first however until the return. Checked out a vehicle and did a walk around with the guy. Truck wasn't filled with gas at the beginning of the rental. It was just below half full. Guy didn't make it a big deal and told me he would mark the receipt off with half a tank. Used Enterprise before so I didn't think much to check my receipt, was more focused on the upcoming trip than double checking my receipt. When we went to return the vehicle. Returned it with the same gas it had. Well guess what. The receipt at the beginning was marked "Full" not "Half". Lady told me we were out of luck cause we signed the receipt stating it was full. Feel stupid I didn't check my receipt upon leaving with the car. But I had trust in Enterprise and it's employees. But now I don't. Now I will double check my receipts when using this company. Back when I was on the east coast, I took a road trip from Baltimore to Montreal. Along the way, I had an issue with my rental car. I thought that the Enterprise location in north Maryland took care of it, but they did not. So I had to navigate to this location en route to my destination. Albany was on my path that day, and the airport there housed this place. Getting here was no problem, it was a small drive from the interstate to the parking structure that services the airport. Once here, I explained to the workers what my issue was. They warmly and effectively resolved my problem. Unlike the people in Maryland, the people here in New York were super friendly and understanding. They really went above and beyond to take care of me. The whole process took only an hour, and I was on my way toward my destination in no time. This place was a highlight of my trip, and they made my day. I just wish I remembered the name of the rep that helped me. But I praise their team here as a whole. read more

Best prices among competitors on several occasions. I rented from them and their system had what was described to me as a "hiccup". I was charged a $250 deposit twice, and one of them never came off (even after returning the car). Mistakes happen. What makes or breaks a company is their willingness to fix them quickly, politely, professionally, and care about your satisfaction in the process. All of the above we're accomplished here. We had reserved for a 4:30 pick up, but plans changed and we showed up at 12:30. The counter person was very accomodating, our reserved car was not yet available but she provided a number of alternatives, and her suggestion to try the Sante Fe was a great addition to our week long adventures. This location was so attentive even when there was a long line on a holiday, as they were servicing three different car companies. The checkout was smooth, and the return was very smooth. I had a half tank of gas, Brenden calculated what it would be for me to fuel with Enterprise versus going back out to gas myself, I had real numbers to make a decision. He did a great job with the return, the walk around, and was truly friendly during the whole process. I was happy that the location was open on the 4th of July, and I used the airport as I assumed it would be open. I arrived at the Albany International Airport Enterprise on 17 SEP 2021 extremly late. I had returned from overseas on Monday and had a really rough week and was heading from NYC towards Vermont to get my son. My vehicle brokedown on the I-87 thruway in a dark dangerous curve. Long story short I took a UBER several upon several miles. In the cab I received a call that my mom passed away. I really needed a car. The Enterprise Rep. went above and beyond to help me. I believe her name was Kiera. I am so thankful. Upon returning the vehicle early another Enterprise Rep. I believe name Jason Lofaro did an excellent. Awesome teamwork. The best car rental experience by far. When we had left Albany airport, I had even told my boyfriend the staff who helped me get my car and registered was incredibly nice and honest. Was honest about not having to add on additional things such as the Ipass transporter, etc. It wasn't because of that, that prompt me to write this review. It's because of my overall experience. I had originally booked my one way reservation to drop off the rental at O'hare airport in Chicago and I requested to switch to a different Enterprise location right down the street from my downtown condo which is 16 miles away. Already traveling 15hrs home from New York, you can imagine, we're beyond exhausted especially traveling with a 4 month old puppy. I called the airport seeing if I could switch it last minute. Great job to the station manager, Ashley, for sending out the personalized e-mail, now I don't know if it was actually personalized but I'll believe it was. :) It was extremely easy to get the number directly to the Albany Enterprise! Anyway, I called and the gentleman on the phone, by the name of Quincy, explained its doable but a little more work involved. When he said there would possibly be a price difference/fee involved, I was reluctant and said it's ok and didnt want to pay for it so I was going to disregard this all together. But he was extremely genuine and hearing the tone of my voice, he really wanted to do what he could. Told me to drop it off to the location by me anyway and he'll work to get things figured out for me. Truly, couldn't have asked for a much better experience. You not only helped me save an hour and half back in my day but the money also involved. It wasn't until Quincy had told me to email the rental agreement, I realized it was Quincy that actually helped me out at the airport. So DOUBLE kudos and applause. I agree whole-heartedly with Howard's review. They are always friendly and quick. Fortunately for me, I had an early flight. Even though their lot is off-site, they allowed me to drop off the car at the short-term parking lot and just drop off the keys at their counter inside the airport. How convenient is that? I'm not sure about this rental time. He asked if I wanted to upgrade from a compact to a midsize, and after I thought about me driving in snow/ice for the first time, I decided it was a good idea. However, when I got to the site, they gave me a Toyota Matrix. I could have sworn I rented compact from them several other times, and I have had this same car before. I verified with the employee that this was a midsize, and he said yes. He told me that one way to tell is that only midsize cars and up have cruise control, and this car had it. Maybe they upgraded me for free last time, and I didn't even know it. Also, this time, the guy went through all the controls with me - moving the seats, windshield wipers, blinkers, and how to open the gas tank. I appreciated this. Or maybe because I'm a girl and he thinks I don't know much about cars... All in all, Enterprise is great and the prices are decent. read more

The service was fast and friendly and I was upgraded to a Mazda 3 without being asked, which was a nice surprise. The only downside is that I had to take the shuttle from the airport out to the rental car lot. However, I didn't have to return the car to the lot but instead left it in short-term parking and dropped the keys off in a lockbox at the airport counter. Got in to Albany 10:30 pm after a 12 hour day of air travel, At that point, did NOT appreciate the upsell effort on Every Item Possible (neither did the people in line behind me). Just give me the car I reserved on my Enterprise Plus, please! Finally took 1-size upgrade (to appease the "I must upsell") because "it comes with satellite radio". Well, it did HAVE a satellite radio, but the service Was Not Turned On. So that was irritating and dishonest. Otherwise, the car was fine, the cars are close by. Will probably use one of the other companies next visit. Also only doing this review so Enterprise will stop the email requests for review. read more

Much to my own fault, I did not walk the car with the rep at Boston and they marked the car as no damage. I don't write a ton of reviews but I wanted to let everyone know about my experience at the Albany Airport, Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I am not a very brand loyal person and usually just look for the best deal when it comes to rental cars. However, I will most likely try to use Enterprise the next time I travel because of Kyle Tonn at this location. On our arrival at about 9pm at night on Christmas Eve and traveling with twin 3 year old boys and my 6 year old daughter we were greeted by Kyle who was working late on Christmas Eve and gave us one of the best customer service experiences I have had. My wife and I both used to work at the Four Seasons, so our standards can be a little high sometimes when it comes to customer service. I had in haste book a car with a different Enterprise Rent-A-Car through a 3rd party service and Kyle was very kind about my mistake. He didn't make me feel like the moron that I could have felt like. Instead Kyle found us a Minivan at 9PM and we were able to be on our way. I love good customer service and Kyle will probably move on to bigger and better things than the rental car business because of his skills. Thank you Kyle! read more
