Poor customer service and lack or curiosity from Gabriela/Gabby. Very short and unprofessional as well as unfriendly.

Made my reservation through Southwest for convenience because none were available through Enterprise, National, or Alamo. The prices were higher than expected and when we picked up the car it was an older model car with over 60,000 miles on it. The pick-up process was fairly easy but the car did squeak and grind due to the mileage. Used a lot of gas. Before I left the airport we modified my agreement for a daily rate to cover the time I would have the car and I was still charged almost $100 more than what was negotiated when I returned the car. Be very careful what you agree to and what the rate is on your contract. read more

Mr Ben Sprague displayed horrible customer service. Being a manager of this enterprise at this airport he showed no sense of compassion nor did he make the customers feel home. Both Enterprise and National employees were no help nor tried to. Ben himself showed he was gonna be incline to not help. I originally had a rental reservation with Hertz, but the line was rather long and there wasn't anyone waiting at Enterprise. So, we went to Enterprise. We upgraded to an SUV: total waste of $ since we didn't really use the car much. But, there were 3 of us...and after being on 3 horrible flights, we just wanted some leg room. Staff was friendly and courteous. The only issue was that they told us the spot number that the car was in...but it was incorrect. So, we went on a scavenger hunt in the scalding Texas heat...trying to find our car. Thank goodness for the panic button. Getting in and out is super easy here as well. No booth to go through...it almost seems like there's very little security. At least - a lot less security than I'm used to. read more

Booo, they wouldn't let me park my rental car in the Enterprise lot while I went out of town for the weekend so that it would be safer than parking in the outdoor lot or the garage. Now I have to pay $30 to park it someplace that's not as safe. I might not have driven it here if I had known that. read more

Okay, so, here is it. Made my reservation online through the app, came to pick the car up at the airport. Girl at the counter just asked for my email and pulled up the reservation, asked for my insurance card and I said I didn't have one (I drive a motorcycle,technically) and she said, proceeded to tell me 5 times I kid you not, five, that I was responsible for HER car. I asked about the gas options and she said it's whatever price a gallon, or you can prepay, or leave with it full and come back full, and said that the car was already inspected but that I was free to check it. She looked annoyed when I wanted to ask about the gas thing. So (now let me tell you i was EXTREMELY exhausted) I asked if I prepay then what happens if I bring it back full and empty respectively. She just said, you prepay for the gas, so I asked well if I don't use it all, does it difference go on my card? She had the SAME answer with attitude. All she could tell me was that it was prepaid. Okay well cool. I asked what she recommended and she said I don't know. She gave me the keys and I walked out to find my own car. Now, usually enterprise is really good about showing you the car and looking at it with you and even helping you connect your phone - all of that stuff I honestly don't need, but in this case it would have been nice. She was snobby, short and couldn't even explain the gas option. Then to top it off, go figure out which car is mine. Ugh. I'll never rent through the airport branch again. read more

The service was a little above average at this place. When we arrived only one man was working and it probably took about 10-15 minutes before we finally got served. But when we got up to the counter, they already had all our paperwork filled out and ready to go. One complaint I do have is that they start charging you by the hour once you go over 24 hours. For instance, say you need the car for 27 hours time. They will charge you a standard fee for 24 hours and then charge you per hour for the other three hours. For us, they charged us about $4.50 for each extra hour. This was annoying because we paid almost a full day's worth of fees for just three extra hours. I know this isn't just this particular location's policy. It's all of Enterprise, but it is still annoying. Also, our standard car did not come with cruise control, so if this is important to you, I suggest you ask ahead of time if your car is equipped or not. read more

Renting a car here was for the most part pretty easy, but their parking numbering system is a little bit screwed up, so you may have to look a little bit, otherwise, the staff were very friendly and the process was easy. Returning the car was a little bit challenging for me as I am used to having staff waiting for people to drop off their vehicle. There really wasn't information provided to me on how I would be returning to vehicle. I follow the signs in for vehicle return and since there were no staff available, I ended up parking my car in a space close to where I had originally picked the car up from. I proceeded in to the airport and checked back in with the rental car check in desk and dropped off the keys there and they provided me with the receipt. Again, very easy, but not the norm that you would see in other airports. read more

After several letters and phone calls, Enterprise decided to refund my insurance coverage money. I feel so used by these people. It would be easy to say that I would never use these guys again but that's probably not possible. We travel a lot and so sometime your car rental options are minimal. I guess I learned a good lesson about Corporate America. Buyers beware, I guess. read more

Bummer!! Had my first bad experience at Enterprise. Although the car was great as usual, the counter person did not exhibit the usual high standards of Enterprise. When getting my car I was asked if I wanted the "basic" or "full" insurance coverage. Since I always decline any coverage since my own car policy covers rental cars, I assumed that basic meant I would use my own. After all, since none of the options given was "no coverage" perhaps that was her definition of "basic". Wrong. The contract price was double the reservation price. When I objected she circled decline but she would not print anything showing the correct price. Very irritating. read more

the experience getting my car was seamless. I also told the guy assisting me that i had my own rental insurance coverage and all I wanted was the basic rental car charge no other options. When i returned the car, my invoice told me otherwise. Luckily the guy assiting me with returning my car understood that i did not want to be charged for anything extra and he took off the extra charges. If i were you, always double check your copy of the receipt when they print it out for you to sign so you arent surprised with extra fees when you return it. I travel two to three times a week. I mostly rent with Enterprise. I had no problems with the check in for the car in Amarillo. Everything went as expected. The only thing that happened was the car was not completely refueled. Returning the car had not issues. Everything went as expected. read more

While my wife and I were traveling to Amarillo from CT on 25 Sept 2015 and our connecting flight in Dallas was delayed. We were originally scheduled to land at AMA just before 11:30 pm, the closing time of the Enterprise counter. We had a very important meeting in Kansas the next (3.5 hours away) and the Enterprise doesn't open until 9 am. I called the Enterprise at AMA and explained our situation. The gentleman that was working the counter stayed until almost 1 am to ensure that we would be able to get our rental and make it to our meeting on time the next day. I could tell he was very tired and did not want to be there so late, but he was friendly, helpful and courteous. I could not have asked for a better experience. read more

The Enterprise locations in Amarillo and Lubbock are not like any Enterprise office I have used before. I make many business trips each year and my company always uses Enterprise. 1st the car was very worn and had multiple burn-throughs on the seats (front and back) probably from someone smoking something in the car. 35,000 miles on the car and more than ready for the auction. 2nd the car did not have a key fob. The car was built to have a fob but Enterprise did not have it. The only key hole on the outside of the car was the driver door. No key hole for the trunk. This was a pain with several people traveling to a number of locations with luggage and brief cases to get in and out. 3rd the clerk who rented the car to me was lest than clear about the insurance and gas option. If I was not a seasoned traveler, I would have ended up with insurance and gas options that my company would not pay for. 4th after signing rental documents you are told where to find the car. You get to find the car, inspect the car, hike back in to the desk, stand in line again, and tell the clerk about damages to the car. What a pain. 5th we returned the car in Lubbock. In Lubbock there are no attendants at the return lot and no instructions about how to return the car. So we parked the car, hiked into the rental desk, and returned the car. There were no attendants for any of the rental companies in Lubbock. Confusing if you had never been there. All of this does not resemble any rental experience or rental car I have ever had from Enterprise. I hope this is not about to become the standard for Enterprise. read more

Customer service was fantastic... I showed up 2 hours before I was scheduled to get my rental, and rather than allow me to wait, the agent upgraded me to an SUV at no charge, so I could get on the road immediately. 10/10 will use Enterprise again. read more

My experience was not BAD, it simply lacked some attention to detail and consideration from the point of the renter to be a really good experience. Counter staff were quick and efficient, found my reservation and had my paperwork pre-populated. They directed me to "spot #12", helpful thought but this must be an internal identification system...no parking spaces had any type of identifier, nor did any of the fences. Needless to say, looking for "spot #12" was futile. The car I rented had been smoked in (third time Ive been rented a non-smoking vehicle through Enterprise) and even though it was apparent they had tried to clean the vehicle, the residual was still there. I know when rentals are returned that have been smoked in the previous renter is often charged an additional fee, that doesn't help the next renter who is paying FULL price for a NON-SMOKING vehicle. each time Ive mentioned it Ive been dismissed and told they don't allow smoking but some folks still do so...Perhaps I should try another chain. Lastly the car had been washed and parked wet, so the vehicle was filthy dirty when I picked it up, to the extent I had to get out and clean the mirrors and run the wipers in order for the vehicle to be safe to drive off the lot. So, there you go...that was my last experience at the Amarillo airport. Haven't had as much trouble at the I27 location but they are not open on Sundays. read more

Great service! Came in to the airport and there was no line at all. They had my paperwork all ready and I was out of there in less than 10 minutes. I had the car for a week and when I dropped it back off all I had to do was park it in an Enterprise marked space, drop the keys in the drop box and get on my flight. Everything was great. read more

Auto rental at AMA is almost too easy. Enterprise provided a nice vehicle at a competitive price. Service by the staff was very good.

Travel to Amarillo frequently. The staff is always helpful and kind. Cars are not too far now that they have rearranged the parking for the airport employees and rental cars. As this is a smaller airport, the usual drop off procedures seen at larger airports does not exist, however it is not a hard process. Park the car, walk in, drop off the keys, get email of receipt, proceed to flight. read more

I WILL NEVER RENT A CAR FROM ENTERPRISE EVER AGAIN. I rented a car in Amarillo Tx and was heading to dallas when 50 min later and 37 miles later, I got pulled over for speeding and well... went to jail for a warrant I had no idea that I had. They impounded the car, and yes I get that I am responsible, however I got out the very next day and they wouldn't release the car back to me. So I called enterprise and told them what had happened, and where the car was. They waited 5 days to get it, charged me for all 5 days, charged me 50.00 for fuel, 500 for impound and said I had driven 300 miles. I have tried numerous times to get ahold of the area manager, and he will not call me back. They have charged my credit card over 800.00. And each time they hit my card, it was for different amounts. Such a horrible experience. I will just take the greyhound from here on out. I will NEVER make this mistake again. Do I even have to give 1 star?? That's too good of a rating. read more

Renovation closer to the airport isn't done, so instead of having a person drive the car to you, or a shuttle taking you to the car, you have to walk a quarter of a mile to find your car based on barely legible numbers spray painted on the ground. Only once have you had the car I wanted (Chrysler 300). The Nissan was from another car co. There's an Enterprise location blocks from my house, however the only locale for a Sunday drop is the airport. To avoid an OUTRAGEOUS $50 drop charge, I have to pick up the airport as well. I'm done with ya'll. Poor to little service. I actually had a job in high school taking Budget RAC clients to/from their cars, so I know it would have been nice to have one of the cleanup guys bring the car around. No thought for the client at all. I can't imagine dragging a suitcase all that way. You really should waive the $50 drop fee, for God's sake, Amarillo isn't that big and you're the ones that aren't open in town on Sunday. Again, I'm done with ya'll. read more

This branch not only put the rental hold on my Visa card, they debited my checking account for the same total (which was about $200 more than the price quoted in the reservation I made online). Enterprise says that they had no record of the transaction, but my bank said otherwise. Finally had to get the regional manager involved, and he did get the bank to restore the account (he is the reason I gave one star in the rating vs. zero stars), but I spent from about 7 AM til almost 5 PM on the phone/email, in tears, trying to sort this out-all while I was 2000+ miles from home. I kept getting promises that someone would look into it and call me back, but the only person who called me at all was the regional manager, who called the next day to make sure things were ok. This was a very scary and upsetting experience-we are not rich and suddenly having almost $600 disappear from your household checking account makes a big impact on your family. I had no idea whether we would get it back or not, and wasn't sure how we would pay bills/get food while traveling/pay for the hotel, etc. I held my breath all week and have been checking our account balance at least twice a day. It is doubly concerning that Enterprise didn't have any record of the transaction, but the bank did-they gave me a transaction code and verified with both me and the regional manager that the deduction was indeed made by Enterprise. Makes me wonder where the money went... read more
