I needed a rental and booked a car online. Because this branch gets BUSY and I was booking over the July 4th holiday, I went over early to make sure I beat what turned out to be a rush of customers. If I had waited, I figured they would be out of cars!! Got a comfortable Camry for my trip to Lubbock. Clean car, full tank of gas, professional, helpful staff. Great experience. There are 2 or 3 other Enterprise branches in Amarillo, so if you're too late to get a car here, be sure to call another local branch to get hooked up.

You also don't get to pick the car you get and you can get stuck with a sucky vehicle. I love their Emerald Club! I'm a regular due to my job and I have reached Executive level. When you 1st start in the Emerald Club you can go to the Emerald Aisle and pick out the car you want. You jump in and just give the person at the booth your ID. No need to go to the counter. When you reach Executive you get a better choice of cars. I love it because I get to drive cars I would probably never buy because they are not practical, but they are fun!

The prices were higher than expected and when we picked up the car it was an older model car with over 60,000 miles on it. The pick-up process was fairly easy but the car did squeak and grind due to the mileage. Used a lot of gas. Before I left the airport we modified my agreement for a daily rate to cover the time I would have the car and I was still charged almost $100 more than what was negotiated when I returned the car. Be very careful what you agree to and what the rate is on your contract.

This is all during the COVID outbreak, and employees were NOT wearing masks. I returned next day when I found another car for less than half at Enterprise. In my haste to return car, I did not fill up gas tank. I expected to pay more for the gas, but it ended up being 24.64 for 3 gallons of gas! While it's technically just across the street, there are no signs inside the airport directing you there, and nothing during the reservation process clearly mentions that you'll need to take a shuttle. The car itself, however, reflected the "budget" name. It had a large crack in the windshield, wasn't the cleanest inside, had several areas where paint was missing, and there was a noticeable odor.
