Got no correspondence from them confirming the pickup so I began calling the location this morning at 8 when they opened. No answer after about 10 calls so I drove over there from the repair shop to confirm the rental. The "worker" was busy with a personal call that she had on speaker phone. Finally, she rolled her eyes at me and asked what I wanted. I explained about the scheduled pickup. She said something to the effect of, "we ain't not got no cars for a pickup today." and went back to her call. That's about all I needed to hear. If you choose to patronize this business, good luck!

A day before I was scheduled to pick up, I received a call saying that the location had closed, and that there were no cars available within the city limits to honor my reservation. No offer of "We can refund your money" or anything. Just, "That location is closed and there's no car for you. Sorry." I went to the location anyway, just to see if there was anyone I could talk to. Turns out, the location was just a desk inside the Westlake DoubleTree lobby. When I asked the hotel lobby clerk about the Hertz location, she immediately put her hands up and said "We are not affiliated with them. All I know is that something happened with them last weekend, and a bunch of cops showed up, and now their location at our hotel is closed." Then it took two hours of sitting on hold for Hertz corporate on hold to get them to refund my money. There was also a pre-recorded announcement when I called that said I would be charged an additional 5% if I spoke to a "live customer service assistant." Be aware of that inane charge, if you're weighing out different rental car companies. So all in all, a pretty crummy experience with this company, and not just the sketchy (and now-closed) Westlake DoubleTree location. I would recommend people avoid Hertz unless they wanna get Hurtz.

They told me the had no Large SUV, just a large Ford Expedition and they were closed on Sunday, so I needed to get the vehicle by 3PM on Saturday. I picked up the SUV just before 2 PM. They took my credit card # for a hold on the Vehicle, but NEVER told me there would be an additional $40 per day on this SUV, because it was XL and not Large. Also they never told me they would charge me for Saturday, even though I didn't need the vehicle until Sunday, because they were closed on SUNDAY! I just wanted to say there was very poor communication on the part of the Rental, not informing me of these additional charges. If I had been aware of the Saturday charge, I would have picked up the vehicle on Saturday Morning and used it for the day. This is not the first time I have rented from Classic, but the first for an uninformed experience.

This was the worst experience one could have trying to rent a vehicle. I reserved an SUV. I was…read morelater than expected picking it up, so they had only vans. No problem. I passed my ID and credit card. The agent said I needed a second form of ID because I was from out of town. How does that make sense? Who is usually renting vehicles? People from out of town. I told him I should have been informed before I came to pick up the vehicle. He told me they don't share their memos with customers. No, but you should share pertinent information. Instead of his calling someone, he was quite nonchalant, even taking personal calls. He gave me a number to what he claimed was Enterprise. The person on the other end claimed to not understand yet never gave the phone to a supervisor as we repeatedly requested. Meanwhile, I noticed the agent still had my credit card and had his phone aimed toward it. I honestly think they are running a scam. I am watching my credit card purchases more closely. The agent did not I finally turned on my brain and walked across to the Enterprise and got a 7-passenger vehicle with no problems. I would not rent from here and they owe me for the wasted time. I had a reservation for a 7-passenger SUV. All I received was frustration. And perhaps discrimination, as I wore a wrap on my head for my ID.
