The employees get a 5 star review! They were very professional, very nice, and very knowledgeable. And they even gave me a ride to the airport, which was really nice of them. But the car was a disgrace! It was so filthy, smelled bad, and was even missing a hub cap! I recommend you go anywhere but here. they are incompetent, and God forbid you show any dissatisfaction by the fact that they lose your reservation, and are extremely unhelpful or unapologetic because they will ban you from their store. it was probably the most ridiculous experience I've ever had, because I would think that one would have to swear or threaten etc. to be banned, but they can basically ban anyone that isn't happy with their customer service or the way they conduct business. I don't know how they stay in business. customer service doesn't call you back and doesn't care if customers are unhappy. I was told a regional manager would contact me, never heard back from anyone. Had a pretty solid experience renting a car from this location. Actually, I chose this location specifically because it had better reviews than the Lakewood location. Given COVID, the inside of the establishment seemed sparse but clean. There were three employees inside when I arrived, two behind plexiglass at the main counter and a third standing with an iPad. The young lady who ended up helping me was friendly enough and let me take my time exploring the cars that were available. One car smelled like cigarette smoke and air freshener so that was an absolute no. The others were either an extra $5 or $10 per day so I ended up settling with a Mitsubishi Outlander. It drove surprisingly well and had great gas mileage. My only note of recommendation is that the employees didn't seem aware of the electronic tolling process. Because many states are relying only on electronic tolling due to COVID, paying it cash is not an option. I wanted to know what fees would be tacked on by Enterprise and how I would be billed but no one knew. I was able to find out the information by calling the Citations Department (they provided the number) but it was hardly as seamless as it should have been. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to rent from this location in the future. read more

I apologize for the very delayed review. My (really bad) experience happened last summer & I'm reminded why I will never use Enterprise again, as I'm now making plans for this summer. This is especially directed at large groups who need 10-15 person vehicles. I was told on the phone that the Ford Transit (new, high ratings, comfortable, high mpg) would be available at this location after I called multiple locations that were sold out. I was given specific details about the various awesome attributes of the vehicle and was reassured several times that the vehicle would be available. This was important since our group needed a comfortable vehicle for a 500 mile trip. Upon arrival, the only vehicle they had available was a large, rickety, gas guzzling (1/2 the mpg of the vehicle we reserved), with unclean interior (mud, stains & trash inside), extremely uncomfortable 12 person cargo van. I've driven these before and this is exactly what we DID NOT want. We had no choice but to take it since we needed to get on the road right away & were reassured that we could address the situation with a manager upon our return. Needless to say, our group ended up with painful, sore backs & bodies by the end of the trip. When we returned the van, I was told that a specific vehicle type can never be guaranteed (opposite of what I was told on the phone when I reserved it). Brian was the first person I approached & when I explained the situation to him, he was completely patronizing & unprofessional. He dismissed my concerns & said with an arrogant, argumentative tone, "What do you mean it's the wrong vehicle? That's the vehicle so how can it be the wrong vehicle?!" And then he walked away, so now I could at least try to speak to someone who had an ounce of customer service skills. To her credit, Robin, the manager, did everything she could to make an awful situation less awful. Again, Robin did her very best. Brian was rude, arrogant & patronizing. In spite of Robin's efforts, I believe these types of situations will reoccur based on the policies that Enterprise has in place regarding advertising & reserving vehicles that are not in stock, as well as the spotty, inconsistent service. I do not recommend using Enterprise for your rental car needs! You may get a completely different vehicle than what you reserved, a dirty vehicle, as well as rude customer service agents. read more

it makes me so happy to report excellent service, consistently at the westlake location. they call me the morning of my reservation to confirm and help me choose the best car available for my needs and requests. they kindly come to pick me up if i need a ride. the woman that i dealt was so incredibly kind and compassionate. she offered me a great deal on an upgrade. i would highly recommend this business. its so much easier and more convenient than the airport location. excellent service consistently from year to year is hard to come by. read more

I question the validity of the reviews posted here. I rented cars here twice, both times they attempted to overcharge me. The first time my dad had initially placed a reservation online for a sedan for me. When we went to pick it up they confirmed that my reservation was in the system as requested, but they were all out of sedans. They then tried to give me a ginormous gas guzzling SUV for more than double the price. Nice try guys. My dad was annoyed but willing to pay, not me! I said it was unacceptable and asked to speak with a manager. After much haggling I received a smaller SUV at the sedan price and free gas. Fast forward five months, my dad wants to use them again for some ungodly reason. We again reserve a sedan online. When we go to pick it up, guess what happens? THE SAME THING! This time I really did get stuck with the ginormous SUV, which btw got 19 mpg. The doofus at Enterprise tried to sell me on it by saying it got 25 mpg, what a goon. I had to take it to Toronto and it ate gas like my son eats chicken nuggets. The guy in charge thought he was doing me some kind of favor by giving me a free tank of gas and the sedan rate. Their dishonest practices are the real issue here. I did finally manage to convince my dad to break free of his weird fixation with Enterprise. He no longer uses them as a result of the nonsense that went on in this office. read more

6/21/2017 Don't EVER count on this business to meet your needs. I reserved a SUV on May 23,2017 to help with a move in Chicago from June 21 to June 23. They called us on JUNE 23 at 10:00 a.m. to tell us they don't have the car for which I have a confirmed reservation! We're to leave in 5 hours! The topper--they told US to "Call around" and see if any of the other stations have a vehicle instead of them performing this service for us. This for a CONFIRMED RESERVATION that was reconfirmed 2 weeks ago in person. Never again is my mantra for Enterprise and should be yours too. The only reason I'm giving them one star is that you can't give ZERO!! 6/25/2017 Back from my Chicago trip and wanted to update so readers would have the complete story. Within 45 minutes of calling to say they had no SUV for us, one was delivered to our home with adjustments to the total cost promised (and delivered). When I returned the keys this morning to the office Jorge gave a possible explanation to the "Call around" suggestion: the Hopkins airport location is so busy other offices sometimes have a problem getting through unless they have the private number of an area manager to call. When Andrew first contacted us, he was probably already working on finding the replacement for us. I understand now that Enterprise wanted to give us the max. amount of time to be aware of the situation and see if we could be flexible on our pick-up time. However, I might suggest that Enterprise try placing some of those replacement calls before contacting the client. Stress levels, which were already high due to our move, rose 100% in our home when we got their call. This was a bad combination of circumstances. my only complaint is that they eliminated the box for keys after hours due to a break-in. Had to come back the next day from about 7.5 miles away to return the keys or else they send they would charge me for another day. Since I was not responsible for the break-in, I didn't see why they couldn't have found another way to deal with the problem that didn't inconvenience me. read more

I am extremely pleased with my total car rental experience at this Enterprise location! The whole experience was super-quick and painless, with no aggressive 'upselling' or other surprises whatsoever. The total cost quoted online weeks in advance was actually a bit more than my final bill when I turned the car in after a 10 day rental. You can imagine how pleasantly surprised I was at that! The staff is professional as they come, and my 2017 Ford Focus SE was immaculate with very low-mileage. I needed to take my daughter to visit her grandmother near NYC, and this car was very comfortable and then some. Having driven the Cleveland to NYC route (and back) many times before over the years, I was really surprised that the Ford could do it on only one tankful of gas, averaging 43.5 MPG (cruise control mostly set on 65 MPH)! I will continue to use this Enterprise for all my future car rental needs, and I highly recommend them! read more

I booked a last second rental and the staff was more than accommodating. Although they didn't have the size car I wanted (understandable given I didn't make a reservation), they gave me the next best thing and sent me on my way in the shortest time possible. I rent from Enterprise because my Company has a discount, but I rent from this location because they are very friendly and match the rental with my needs. The downgrade by one star is in recognition that so many new employees go through this location that there are some minor delay as they are train; but hey, we all have to learn sometime. read more

The location is convenient to my home, so renting a car from here is easy. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. I wish the parking lot was bigger, the old set up on Sperry Drive was easier to access and maneuver through. The car I rented, while brand new with only had 10 miles on it, was the most stripped down vehicle I have ever seen. It didn't have the basic functions that you would expect from a rental. It was a Hyundai Accent with NO cruise control. It didn't even have a handle to open the trunk and there was no button on the key fob for the trunk either. So it's only when you're standing at the trunk with your arms full that you realize you have to flip the lever next to the seat to open the trunk. However, it's the lack of cruise control that was the biggest issue. Driving 500+ miles without cruise control is aggravating. I will continue to rent from here (my company requires it) but next time I will know to check for the little things...like a handle on the trunk and cruise control. The guys who worked there agreed the car isn't great, but I don't think they have any control over their inventory. read more

My experience started with the downtown Cleveland location on Superior Ave. I reserved a car online for a noon appt., they call the morning of to inform me they don't have a vehicle, so I'm not sure what the point of the online reservation system is. They tell me to come by at 4:30, I arrive at 4:20, still don't have a car, but he decides to start paperwork. My intent was to use a debit/credit card, then I'm told since it's not a "major" credit card, I have to pay a $250 deposit, and provide a utility bill, for what? At 4:40pm still no car so I leave, he was trying to be apologetic, but couldn't be more obvious that the guy really didn't care. So, I call the Westlake OH location, set up an appt. for 8am, I arrive a few minutes before, the car is there, no mention of debit card vs. major credit card, only a $150 deposit, and a few minutes later I'm on the road. When I called in to let them know I'd need the car another day, no problem, handled without issue. When the carI purchased was ready to go I turned in the vehicle at the Strongsville location, no problem there either, easy, no hassle, and off I went. Moral of the story? Don't go downtown, completely rude and unprofessional and seemingly work under a different set of rules. Bluntly, five stars for Westlake and Strongsville, 0 stars for the downtown Superior location. read more
