Update: They actively worked to get us a car tonight, and the employee stayed after closing to make sure it was able to be picked up tonight. A rocky start, but finished on a good note. We tried to get a car on Tuesday, none were available. It is for out of town visitors, so a "wait and see if it happens one of these days" isn't the most helpful option. We made a reservation for today, and just got told there are no cars and that there might be tomorrow (maybe), and that none of these other locations had one. This wasn't helpful, and when he called me, I could hear someone loudly talking/selling throat spray or something, it was very odd. I didn't have a great experience, but at least they tried a little - so more neutral than anything else. read more

Beware of this location. Please go elsewhere. Flew all the way back from California with my two children. Couldn't even rent a car with them with a military ID even though it states ON THEIR WEBSITE that they exempt military using debit without having a 50 mile radius, per the Barrington shop website. Even though we could put a deposit down etc. They pick and choose who they want to rent from. Danielle did not know her job or anything pertaining with it. Great service. I've had to rent a car 3 times in as many weeks while my transmission is being replaced. This morning I unexpectedly needed to get a car (for just one more day). I showed up 10 minutes before opening and they greeted me warmly. I didn't have a reservation and they were all booked, but found a minivan that had just been returned to the dealer down the street. They quickly got me over there, checked me out on the tablet, and I was able to take off from there. They saved the day. read more

Came on a last minute road trip to New Orleans and I was well attended. Great customer service.

The facility was filthy and the car they gave me was filthy. From the moment I entered the office I noticed how outdated and old everything was. I asked to use the restroom and the rest room was absolutely filthy I wouldn't even use the facilities. When I got in the car I noticed paperwork from not one but the two previous users of that car. The car was dirty both inside and out. I had to spend $25 to have the car cleaned before I would even drive it. They offered to clean it for me but I wouldn't consider going back to that filthy office. There were used paper cups and used plastic silverware strewn about the car. I have never had this happen to me and I've rented from enterprise often. read more

Let me preface this review that the customer service was great. They lost stars because of the cleanliness of the 2016 Expedition they gave me. I was promptly picked up at my dealership and driven to their facility less than a mile away. The rental was flawless and took less than 5 minutes. Unfortunately the office had stains all over the carpet, sparse furnishings and it smelled. We walked out and inspected the car. No dents or scratches and only a spray of tiny white dots all over the left side of the vehicle. The truck had less than 2,500 miles. We got in, pulled away and I noticed huge pieces of DANDRUFF on the headrests. Disgusting. I told kiddo not to lean his head back and cleaned it when we got home. Idk why or how they missed it. It was disgusting. You'll see it in the images. I promptly cleaned the front cabin and everywhere we touched. So, beware of their cleaning. They do a decent job on the exterior but interior is not up to par, especially for Barrington. read more

I was set up with this rental by Wickstrom Dodge when my car underwent some warranty work. Van was clean but out of gas. Service was quick and friendly. Appreciate the follow up call letting me know that everything was fine when I returned since the office was closed for the evening. Would recommend others rent from this specific site in Barrington. It was very good experience to start with. Agent helped me to get the best options. Thanks to him for this. However, we had very bitter experience when we passed through the toll and realised that ipass does not work. Only the person who goes though will know the pain when we are heading to long drive. Again agent was very good to address our concern that he will take care of all the bills. All good till i return the car. While returing the car, he asked about the trip and i told him the pain i took because of this. Infact we have wasted 1-2 hours of our time while going becasue we are stuck and had to get down and talk to representative and pile-up of the traffic behind me etc....I asked him how can enterprise give the devices which will not work( he should have just responded saying that it was mistake and apologize), rather, it sounded the dumb questions for him. All the good points he gained so far ruined himself because of being non-polite. I thought he was so rude in this case. I was not expecting anything, He should have been polite and accept the mistake. At the end it was a mistake from enterprise and he was not able to understand the pain customer go through and on top of this, it looks dumb question. I hope he understands the situation and talk accordingly. Unfortunately, i do not know the agent name. But anyone taking rental from this place, please make sure that you check that all the things are workings. otherwise you will end up asking dumb questions like me. read more

Took advantage of my parents by claiming the car they returned had hail damage on 75% of it. Problem with that was the car was driven less than 200 miles over a two week period and at no point in time was there any hail in the area. When my elderly parents questioned the employee he became irate, aggressive and yelled at them repeatedly. He also refused to give them any paperwork for the "claim" or his name. read more
