Enterprise was very accommodating. After my car accident, my insurance set me up with a rental through them, and even though I had to change my dates multiple times, I was always treated kindly and never made to feel like it was an inconvenience. The employees are quick to assist, whether it's during vehicle pick-up or drop-off. My only drawback was that the car I rented for about 2.5 weeks smelled very strongly of smoke/weed, which was unpleasant. Otherwise, the service was excellent. read more

I attempted to rent a vehicle and was assisted by an employee named Frank. During our interaction, I was told that I was "not in the system" despite having rented vehicles from Enterprise on numerous occasions in the past. I was also informed that I needed my own insurance to rent a vehicle, which was confusing given my understanding of Enterprise's rental requirements and available protection options. What was most concerning was the manner in which I was treated. During my visit, I observed other customers being assisted and receiving rentals without similar issues. As an African American customer, the experience left me questioning whether I was treated differently because of my race. While I cannot definitively determine the reason for my treatment, the interaction caused me serious concern and made me feel unwelcome and unfairly singled out. Because of the seriousness of these concerns, I am documenting this incident and seeking guidance regarding my rights and available options. Service: 5/5 I have rented cars from this location off and on since 2016. The crew at this location hustles and they are very friendly and always going out of their way to make sure the customers are satisfied. I have been here during extremely busy times. The place has been packed with at least 20 people at a time. The staff has always been teamed, professional, courtesy, and friendly service in both the busiest and slowest times that I've been there. Excellent customer service. We were in & out with a vehicle within 15 minutes of arriving on a Friday morning. The service member that helped us was professional & kind. We were given not only one option but two choices to choose from for our rental. The VW Atlas that we chose was clean, spacious, & in tip-top condition. On our way back, we were concerned that we would not make it back in time (Sunday at 2pm) however, the customer service representative over the phone assured us that as long as we got it back by 8am the next day, we would not be charged for an extra day (24 hr. Billing cycle). The deposit was replaced in my account within 48 hours of returning the vehicle, & we received a call from a customer service representative prior to the funds being transferred. Updated to point out that Enterprise "care" team comments on a lot of these posts as if they are going to actually look into the issue, but they don't. They don't reply to the email they ask you to send and they don't reach out. It's all for show. Have used this location for years and put up with a lot of delays, dirty cars, unavailable cars, but never once complained. Now, however, I will never use again. Got a 6pm to 6pm rental. I was told they would be "reasonable" if I was a little past 6pm since they were closed at that time anyways. Busted my butt to have it back by 6pm. Dropped it at 6:38 and they charged me for a full extra day anyways. I asked for a discount, no. I asked to speak with a manager, no. They act like they are all about the customer experience, but they do not care at all. I know little can be done, but I will not be doing my business rentals here any longer. read more

I'm truly sorry that we don't have any other rental car dealerships in our area because I would never use Enterprise again. I recently had a small fender bender so I had to rent a car. My insurance company set up the rental for me and when I got there, that's where my nightmare begin. I'm a very detailed person, so I made sure to ask my representative certain questions. I was OK paying a deposit on a luxury vehicle, I was OK with the daily rate, but this is where things begin to change. The representative told me that the vehicle was a total of $60 a day, and I will be paying 20% of that which comes to about $15. No problem with that , so I took the vehicle and went on my way. The first thing that I thought was really unacceptable was there was no gas in the car so I had to stop and get gas in the car.. No worries, After having the vehicle about 2 1/2 weeks, a light came on, so I went back to the siegen location, and the young man was super. He offered me another vehicle. And this is where things changed for the worst. He told me that, I was close in reaching my maximum time per my policy. I told him something had to be wrong because my rental was for 60 a day, he informed me that my rental actually was $75 a day. So I pulled out the contract and showed him what was given to me. He was like I understand, but the bottom line is $75 a day. I was furious, because I made sure before I left originally that the rate was correct. I spoke to a manager there and she was nasty, and she basically told me that was my problem even though the representative quoted me the wrong amount. I was livid so I contacted the customer service number and after 5 Days, I still haven't heard nothing. If I would've known the true rate I would've gotten a cheaper car which would have given me more time, because my vehicle is still not ready. Please do not rent from the Siegen location because the branch manager Brianna does not care if her representatives give out the wrong information. read more

On Saturday, May 15, 2021, my husband lost the keys to his rental car. He called to report the incident to the Manager at the Siegan Lane location. She informed him that the car would be towed, the replacement key would be $500, and he could arrive on Sunday, May 16, 2021 to square things away. My husband was given the run around and was told by the same manager there is nothing she can do to help him. Also, he would have to wait until Monday to get another rental. I stepped in to address what we were told on Saturday. I explained my husband had to work in the morning and he needed another rental. I offered the manager to charge my credit card $500 for a replacement key and she declined. She said it could be more than $500. She began to yell and belittle me by stating she was the manager. I asked her if I could rent a car for one day. I informed her as a manager she could have given me that option at first. She stated she is not a mind reader. I told her that was very unprofessional. As a manager, her duties include coming up with solutions for all customers. We basically was charge an additional $225 plus the lost key charge because she didn't want to resolve a lost key option. The manager was so unprofessional, another employee of Enterprise apologized for her unprofessionalism. She does not belong in a manger position at all. My experience with this Enterprise Rent a car location is the worst of its kind. You got to wait an hour and a half in queue just to here someone say "are you being helped, ok what do you need, let me search our inventory"...that's it they are gone, then after little more long standing comes another guy "oh is it, I can help you. I don't think our location has it, let me check else where". That is it again, he was gone...never saw him again...I have no idea how that location does business. I am sure that is the reason it is not listed on Yelp. I will never go back here, very unprofessional staff. Spoke with a young lady named Brittany who wasn't helpful and rude to me and my wife. Brittany spoke to us in a rude, disrespectful and condescending manor and completely talked over me. Eventually, Brittany hung up on me and then refused to answer the phone for over an hour. She stated that no one was going to be able to help us, so basically, either accept her unprofessionalism or leave unassisted without your rental car and sort it out with Brian who will automatically side with me she stated. Due to misinformation from the first two calls about what paperwork I would need; the manager of this store, unwilling to make a simple exception, is making me miss my mothers 70th birthday. Even while being as polite as I could this lady instead tells me about how a pay stub and my lease agreement isn't enough proof of residence. If it's enough proof for the federal government then why is enterprise so much more "secure"? My Honda is currently awaiting a new airbag. Team Honda on Siegen wrote down my vin, and sent me to enterprise ( less than a couple of blocks away). I then went directly to Enterprise. I told them I was there bc of an airbag rental; and that I HAD to have an SUV. They already had my paperwork. . I left within 5 minutes with a new Hyundai SUV! Couldn't ask for better service than that! I have rented from them several times before, and have always been pleased w their efficient service. When looking for a rental in Baton Rouge, I could have chosen one at the airport but the reviews of the customer service were so good, I had to try it. Believe me, the reviews are all true. I have rented vehicles from this location numerous times, and, except for the occasional long lines, I must say that I have received top-notch service. The employees are friendly, courteous, and very helpful in meeting my needs. They have always worked hard to make sure I leave happy and quite satisfied. It certainly helps if I reserve a vehicle, especially if it is a special type (large SUV, van w/DVD player, truck, etc.) rather than just walk in and demand a certain type and expect them to produce it. I've seen customers walk in and produce very questionable credentials/documents then have the nerve to get upset and angry because the employee won't rent them a $20,000+ vehicle. I agree with Jason P in that you really need to make a reservation online prior to going to the location. It does not seem Divya did that, but I cannot be sure. I have used this Enterprise location many times over the last 7 years. I bet I have rented more than a dozen cars, probably more like two dozen, or possibly more. The place can be very busy in the evening particularly on Thursdays and Fridays, even more so before a holiday. Service is always great even though you may have to wait 10 minutes or so at busy times even with a reservation. The last time I used them was this past weekend. Service was as good if not better than ever, but I picked up and dropped off around 8am. Now, just because you make a reservation does not mean they will have the car class you asked for (see Seinfeld car rental episode for full explanation). However, in my experience, I have been upgraded for the same price as the car class I made the reservation for far more times than I have been downgraded (for a cheaper price). Unlike Jason P, I have not dealt with too many Baton Rouge Enterprise locations. I did rent once or twice from a location on Airline. They were friendly and professional too, but they do not have near the inventory as Siegen Lane just around the corner. I rented from a location in Shreveport and was not at all impressed. The service was okay, but I was downgraded from a mini-van to a small SUV for a trip to New Mexico with four adults. Enterprise in general has always been fair with check-in condition of the vehicle and gas levels. I will say that calling for a pickup will typically result in a wait for the driver to arrive. I have waited up to an hour before, but my wife drives me to Enterprise now. You are not going to do any better than Siegen Lane Enterprise. read more
