After our car was severely damaged in an accident, we needed to get a rental since my boyfriend needed it to drive to work, which is almost an hour away. We were pretty shaken up by the accident and the amount of damage on the car. Going to enterprise really helped us get through a difficult time. Not only did we have the rental during the time the insurance would allow, which was one month, but we had to continue renting it for an additional three weeks. Ordinarily this would have made our lives more complicated but Enterprise assisted us in every possible way. It wasn't just getting us a great car but helping us deal with our insurance and making sure everything was in order. The staff there is a group of young people who are extremely professional, courteous, and friendly. They talked us through all our frantic phone calls and were more than willing to do anything to assuage our fears of the process. The car that we got as a rental was more than adequate and was in great condition and meticulous when we got it. We would like to thank Michael, Chad, Shaquan , Bri and anybody else that we dealt with for taking such great care of us. If I could give this place 0 stars I would! I have rented from enterprise car rental in the past in Puerto Rico and have had nothing but phenomenal experiences, but this place is TERRIBLE! I rented the car from them early Friday morning, did a walk through with them and everything turned out fine. I bought the car back this morning and the girl told me that there was damaged to the undercarriage (that didn't look like damage at all, and another car with the same make and model as the car I had rented had the same looking undercarriage), so we went back inside. She didn't tell me how much would be charged to my card or anything! Didn't give me a receipt but kept insisting that the car was damaged! I called my insurance right away and contacted enterprise customer service. I was also informed that there is a lot of fraud that comes out of that car rental place! Please do yourselves a favor and DO NOT RENT FROM ENTERPRISE CAR RENTAL IN BAYONNE!!! read more

When I first called this place to setup my car rental pick up they had put me on hold for 20 min. However when I finally got there the customer service was much better. They dropped me to the body shop and picked me up when my car was ready. Another negative was I really didn't have a wide selection of cars to choose from. At the time they only had a Durango or Minivans so I went with the Durango. Overall customer service is friendly and professional no major complaints. read more

Rented a car here last week and was upgraded from an economy class to an intermediate vehicle. During the inspection, I noticed some significant damage all around (scrapes, dings, dents) but it was mostly body damage so I thought nothing of it. From there I drove under 5 miles to Bayonne Crossing and after parking the car saw that there was a flat tire (rear driver side). Upon further inspection, another tire (front passenger) was bald and cracking. Unacceptable. This was a 2012 Kia Forte and with 35k+ miles on it, I'm not sure how many times the tires had been changed, but the answer might have been never for at least two of the tires. Called up and told us 15-20 minutes. A full 50 minutes later they came in with a Mazda 3 with tires that were in much better condition. The employee who came over was nice and the entire time we received good customer service, but honestly this is a big wake up call to me that just because vehicles are clean and the people working there are wearing suit, doesn't mean that they are putting stock into the safety of their vehicles. I am happy that this happened while driving around town, as I was leaving for a long road trip hours later. Had this happened on the highway I might not be here to write this review, so please before you drive a rented car off the lot make sure that the tires have at least some tread life left. read more

I should first start by saying that I am not good with change. I panic. I stress. So, when my best friend suggested that I rent a minivan for an upcoming family trip from Enterprise Car Rentals located by City Line in Bayonne, NJ, I had anxiety from the moment the reservation was made until the morning I went to pick up the minivan. My anxiety was put to rest after meeting Tom Shea, the branch manager. He took care of me when I showed up at the rental place early in the morning. The minivan was a great vehicle to rent for a trip to Florida with my family, which included my 90 year old mom and her wheelchair. Tom took the time to explain the rewards program, as well as any "add ons" for the rental, he answered all of my questions with patience and was truy truly a wonderful person. Not only did he, the other staff and the whole establishment practice the proper social distant, but he, himself cleaned and disinfected the inside of the vehicle before I took off. The outside of the vehicle had already been washed, but Tom told us that he and the rest of his crew cleaned and disinfected each vehicle before the next customer entered it. Before getting in the vehicle, he took the time to explain and "ins and outs" of the minivan like where the gas tank was and how to open it. He also programmed the lights to automatic so I wouldn't have to worry about it later,especially while driving at night. He also showed us how to make more room in the van with the back seats. It was a great feeling to actually see this type of service. The price for the minivan was also AMAZING. I actually paid $300.00 less for the same type of vehicle and for the same time. I want to thank Tom and his entire crew for the attentiveness and kindness they showed us. I recommend Enterprise, at this location, to anyone in this area who needs to rent a vehicle. I wanted to leave a review because the agent Isis G. who assisted me was SO incredibly pleasant and professional. I have not received that good of service in terms of customer interaction in quite some time so much so that I felt compelled to write this. My rate was competitive and they had me in/out of there upon check-out of the vehicle and the return. The car was new with less than 10k miles and clean. It was delivered to me with an empty tank of gas though but that wasn't a big deal to me. I just had to go to the gas station immediately upon leaving. I originally rented a car in North Bergen at my auto body and had to go out of town before my car was ready for I had to return it here. There appeared to only be 2 people working in this branch, so service was a bit slow as there were 3 customers waiting to be serviced. Hopefully they'll better staff their branch in the future. read more

These guys were super helpful. I dealt with Leonard and needed a last- minute rental of an SUV for business. He sent one of his guys to Hoboken to pick it up and stayed after they closed to work out the rental for me. This review is for Enterprise Bayonne/City Line Location: From rental pickup to drop-off, the experience was excellent! I reserved a pickup ride from the auto body shop and was met by an Enterprise driver within minutes of scheduled pickup time. The driver was friendly and courteous - even got out of the car to open the car door for me! Rental pickup transaction at the office was a breeze and I was out of there and on my way within minutes. Rental drop-off the next evening was smooth and speedy - I was even given a ride back to the auto body shop to pick up my vehicle. Different driver, but he also got out of the car to open the car door for me. Very nice touch! The agent who I dealt with at the Bayonne/City Line office was very friendly & courteous as were the other agents there at the time as well. She extended herself to anything else she could do to ensure a pleasant experience. This location definitely has their Customer Service attitude in check! Highly recommend! read more

"Manager" Chevonne is an absolute nightmare - she does not listen, speaks over customers, couldn't care less about what the customers concerns/needs are, is offensive, berating and only makes already bad situations worse. Rented a couple of times here and it is a hit or miss. The first time was great I dealt with Kim. Just recently rented a car. My reservation was at 7:30 am and I waited for 15 minutes for the place to open up. The guy that opened up was rude. He claimed there's no car so I need to wait for one of his colleagues to show up since he's by himself. He didn't bother checking the box for keys just assumed that he needs to contact other places. I was asking if i can upgrade, if there's no other car in what i reserved and he just dismissed what I had to say and just told me I can't upgrade anymore and there's no other option. Wth! He waited for his coworker to come in and told her to deal with me while he went in the back..I was already late for my appointment... Thank goodness she was professional and helped me even though I spent an hour to get a car and had to go to jersey city to pick it up. read more

I used to rent from this Enterprise all the time. The manager, I think his name was Greg, was always there to greet me with a smile, handshake and a consistently quality choice of vehicles. The cars were always clean, usually gassed up and relatively low miles, which was good since I did a decent amount of work travel and didn't want a vehicle that would be breaking down on me. I haven't been back since I moved out of the area, but occasionally will pick up a vehicle from one of the locations closer to me in Plainfield but they haven't been as thorough, courteous and well-spoken as Greg and his staff. read more

Only rented twice from here and it was a hit or miss for me. First time was great, went there on a snowy day and was able to get an SUV within half an hr. Second time here was a headache. I went there on a Thursday morning in the summer. Only 2 girls were working so they were short staffed. They also didn't have any SUV's so I decided to reserve the car for the next morning. And they guaranteed that it'd be ready. The next morning, only 2 girls were working and there was a long line of customers. I was running late so I was a little worried. When it was time to get my car, the lady told me we had to pick it up somewhere and it was 10 min away in Jersey City...buuut...they didn't know exactly where they'd be getting the vehicle...say what!? I was already late for work because Enterprise was short staffed and my vehicle was on the other side of town...Downtown Jersey City to be exact...they offered free gas for the inconvenience but I don't know if I'd want to go through this headache again...bottom line is that this is a hit or miss location read more

I've rented twice from this location this year. Both times because my car was being serviced. A local bus stops on the street-side of the complex. Plenty of parking if you've got someone giving you a ride. I declined purchasing their insurance (since I had my own) and it was not problem, billing or otherwise. Online quote was exactly what they charged me. Everything was straightforward and drama-free. read more

They picked us up from the cruise port and very nice to us. The car we got turned out to have a faulty transmission and high miles, so we had to trade it in after two days. This was an inconvenience but was easy to do. Selection of cars was minimal. read more

I had mixed experiences like others. First time it was A-one. This time the car had not been serviced properly and we experienced low tire pressure (about 7 points low in each tire). When we mentioned to the staff, it was like out fault rather than a matter of excepting that the mechanic had not checked the tire pressure prior to renting the car. I hope some listens as this is a convenient location for me. Please make sure the car is serviced properly and stop making excuses. This will prevent greater appreciation by customers and safety on the road. read more

Amazing service! The girl Jeannie who works there helped my mom incredibly throughout the whole process. When my mom didn't feel comfortable in the original car they put her in, Jeannie switched her out right away without any hesitation and reached out to my mom a few days later to follow up and make sure she was okay in the new vehicle. They picked us up from the body shop, made the process extremely easy, and dropped us back at the body shop when our car was fixed. I can't thank this girl enough! Definitely ask for her! read more

My advice to anyone looking to rent a vehicle from this location is take pictures of the vehicle before leaving the lot because there is a good chance you will be accused of damaging the vehicle because the employees there do not conduct their vehicle inspection properly and fail to notate ALL marks. I was initially helped by the Assistant Manager, Shelli. She showed me the car, which was not in the greatest condition with marks and dents throughout and it was not clean. The inside was not appealing at all, covered in stains and was clearly not cleaned in anticipation of my arrival. She mentioned that they had just received the car from the Newark Airport branch (which would explain why it had "EWR 27K" written on the driver side back window and was dirty; they probably did not have time to clean it) and then said, "Newark Airport always sends us their piece of crap cars." I was a little uneasy over that comment, but thought I would only have it for less than a full day and I was in a hurry, so I let it go. Shelli and I walked the vehicle and she showed me a card that could be used to determine what scratches/dents are worth noting, which was the first time I have ever seen such a thing, but she didn't even use it anyway. We made our way to the front passenger side toward the bottom of the bumper and I noticed numerous white scratches along the bottom. I pointed it out to Shelli and she said, "We don't have to worry about those marks because they're at the bottom." We continued on the passenger side where those marks continued along the bottom, but I didn't point them out again because I was just told that we don't have to worry about them. We finished and I left soon after. My fiancé returned the car early the next morning and that was when the worst treatment a customer could receive took place. The Branch Manager, Kimberly C., who should be re-trained, walked the car and accused him of damaging the vehicle, pointing to the white scratches along the bottom of the frame. He insisted that she was mistaken and asked to speak to Shellion so that she could confirm that it was not his fault. Kimberly looked at the paperwork and insisted that Shelli would have noted any marks on the vehicle on there, yet she didn't notate any of the marks that I pointed out that were along the bottom of the car. Shelli arrived and looked at the vehicle and said that she only knew about the marks on the bumper and the ones on the side were new (please note that they are the same exact type of marks). My fiance called me and asked me if I knew about any marks on the car and I told him that I remember the ones along the bottom of the car on the passenger side. Shelli told him that I was "lying" and insisted that only the marks on the bumper were there. He tried to reason with Kimberly, pointing out that before he told me anything I instantly referred to the marks along the car and that all the marks are identical, how could I mimic them? Kimberly rolled her eyes, scoffed, and repeatedly told him that he was at fault. Kimberly and Shelli's actions were so disrespectful and rude that no apology can make up for the embarrassment from this public display of obnoxiousness. Since we did not add any damage to the vehicle and Kimberly was unwilling to listen, my fiance suggested she call the police so a report could be filed; there was no way that we were going to allow her to hold us at fault. A few moments later, Kimberly said, "I am going to take responsibility for the damage on the car, but I just want you to know that I know you damaged it and I believe that Shelli is telling the truth." The story doesn't end there. After filing a complaint with Corporate, no one contacted me to resolve this issue, BUT I did receive a letter about a claim for damaging the rental vehicle! Kimberly dismissed us and then filed a claim once we left? I could not believe it. I called Corporate again and I am still waiting for someone in Corporate to contact me. I am shocked that a business is allowed to operate like this. read more

If I could rate this company with zero stars, I would. My boyfriend and I made an online reservation on June 26, 2016 for 4th of July weekend and received a conformation. Two days later he received a call confirming the pick up of the vehicle for Saturday July 2nd. Everything was perfect. When my boyfriend arrived at the Kennedy, Bayonne location he is told there are no cars available, not even another model of car to give him. He was told the customer that was supposed to bring back the vehicle, that he was renting, had called to extend his time with the car. My boyfriend ask the enterprise worker, "what did you tell the customer" the enterprise worker said "yes, keep the vehicle". Why would you allowed customers to keep the car additional days, knowing that you have reservations made and additional customers are going to come in and pick up their RESERVED car. The enterprise worker had the audacity to tell my boyfriend to go to Newark airport and see if they had a car available, "see" not even confirming if they had one available for pick up. My boyfriend told the worker, to send someone to Newark airport and bring the car to the Kennedy, Bayonne location. The worker said he didn't have anyone at the moment to travel to Newark airport and retrieve a car. Without a doubt, our 4th of July plans were ruined, we couldn't continue with our plans since we had relied on enterprise business to commute on this holiday weekend. Do not do business or rely on enterprise, THEY ARE HORRIBLE AND SO IS THEIR STAFF!!! The worker did not show any empathy or urgency around this matter. read more
