It was also dirty on the outside even though it was parked in a garage. Check in and check out were both slow and agents did not know how to deal with a corporate account. It took over 45 minutes waiting to check out. Calls to the Newport location were not answered. Every time I called the main customer service line it took a long time to get through the system and then had to be transferred to the special agents who handled corporate accounts. The positive is that the location and hours are convenient.

I rented a beautiful Range Rover Sport for the weekend. Mike was on time at 8 am on Sat morning and when I was 10 minutes late in returning the car they were very accommodating. I didn't return the car with a full tank of gas (ran out of time!) and the gas surcharge is very hefty so do fill up before return. Would 100% rent again!

It included rear bumper damage and repair charges that were not identified as new at drop-off, plus padded fees like a $200 admin fee and "diminution of value" - all based on a preliminary estimate, not a final repair invoice. I emailed Sixt multiple times asking for clarification and received no response. I ultimately had to file a claim through my credit card's rental insurance, which paid it, but that doesn't make the process acceptable. Without coverage, I would've been stuck paying four figures for a minor cosmetic issue with inconsistent documentation. Renters: take photos and video at pickup and return. I won't rent from Sixt again.

So god forbid if you are in a mishap, $2500 is out of your pocket before insurance pays anything. I unfortunately had to pay an additional $500 to rent the car.
