This location called my phone a hour and a half before scheduled pick up time and left me a voicemail saying that there wouldn't be a car available for my confirmed reservation. I didn't receive the voicemail before because I was still in flight . Once I landed and checked the Enterprise app, nothing looked wrong, because it asked if you like to check in and start the pickup process. Once I arrived at the location, they informed me that they had no cars. I was told to call a customer service number. I rented from this Enterprise and it started well. This rental was following an auto accident. My insurance company paid $40 per day up to 30 days. The rental was $42.99 per day (for both me and the insurance company). I also kept the rental for three additional days at my own expense while I worked through purchasing a new vehicle. When I returned the car, I never received a bill. A few days went by so I reached out to get a copy of the final bill. To my surprise, I was charged $391.21 for my portion (3 days at 42.99, plus the taxes). They charged me $7.33 per day but couldn't explain the charge or breakout for the $7.33. When I questioned the first person, she couldn't figure it out and suggested I reach out to the Manager, Anthony. The next day, I called Anthony and we were on the phone for over an hour and he couldn't figure NOT explain the charges. I had $7.33 x 30 days. $42.99 x 3 days. Plus the taxes for 33 days. When I asked about it, the manager initially said it was the difference ($2.99 plus taxes). When I advised him nothing he is suggesting makes sense and nothing equals the totals the way he explained it, he said he would send an email to the accounting team so they can explain the charge. That was over week ago. I even asked him to include me on the email he sent so I could ask the questions I needed them to answer. He agreed to send it and include me...and I haven't received the email nor any further communication from Anthony. That was on 1/30/25. Additionally, there was damage to the vehicles. My husband and I had a terrible experience with this location after needing a rental due to a car accident. When my husband spoke with an employee, he was led to believe that he had to opt into the $20/day protection plan or our insurance wouldn't cover the rental. Based on how things were explained to him, he thought this was a requirement--not a choice. While I understand that he should have asked more questions at the end of the day he said that's how it was portrayed to him. Come to find out, that wasn't true. Our insurance would have covered the rental without that additional coverage, but no one clarified that at the time. Because of that misunderstanding, we were hit with an unexpected $500 charge. When I tried to explain the situation and asked if anything could be done, I was bounced around until someone helped reduce the bill to $354--which, while appreciated, was still a cost we were not prepared to cover. I specifically asked the area manager if they would charge my card. He said no, that they wouldn't charge it unless we gave permission. I even explained we'd likely have to let it go to collections. But today, the money was withdrawn from our account anyway--without notice--and it was money we need for other bills we now can not pay. I called back and was handed off again to a 1-800 number. Still no help. The area manager showed zero willingness to assist further, and when I pointed out in a previous conversation that nothing was wrong with the car and they were essentially just pocketing that money, there was nothing that could be said in response. Extremely disappointed in the lack of clarity, customer service, and empathy. We will not be using Enterprise again and will be sharing our experience wherever we can. read more

I reserved a car at BELMONT 6821 WILKINSON BLVD BELMONT, NC 28012 via the app. I ended up taking a Uber to the location for them to tell me they don't have any cars. they never called me to tell me this. they waited to I got there to tell me. there was cars / vans on the lot but they said come back at 3:00pm. so I took another email back to the hotel and ended going back at 3:00pm and was given a car they was there that morning when they said there was no cars. I was told oh !!! someone cancel so we can give it to you. I was not allowed to use my points that I had because that will have to happen online. But I did my reservation online ! so not they took me out the system and mad a new reservation that costed me more. spoke to customer service and the manager never called to rectify this matter. I had dropped my car off to get fixed and was supposed to be picked up by this enterprise by 1pm. Time had passed 1'oclock and I called several times no one answer, I waited another 10 minutes they finally had picked up the phone and said the driver had just left by then It was 2:00pm. Finally got the rental car and paid the security deposit which was $50 and left. I had the car for about 2 and a half weeks,. Came to drop the car off and everything went smooth. He had told me that I should get my $50 deposit back in a few business days so I waited ..and I'm still waiting . My car was put into a shop to get some stuff done to it, it was nice at first because they came and got me from the shop and took me to the store. Now when I got the car it was whatever the shop and my attorney handled it so everything was paid for. They took a credit card and put it on file BUT come to find out afterwards I had an actual hold on it for a few days even though I was originally told that wouldn't be the case. Well they got me into a Dodge Dart it was an ok car why irritated me was I've rented cars before and the whole inside of the car was dirty and when I say dirty I mean it. The seats were stained with black marks all soaked into it, as if some greasy person sat inside of it. Well i got the car and left had it for a day and then Joshua called me later that day yelling at me and freaking out telling me I needed to brig the car back. I said no I just got off with the shop and my rental is paid for. So I told him to call up there, he goes no you need to call them and figure it out. I'm unsure as to why he couldn't do it himself but whatever. So I had to call my attorney back who called the shop and figured it all out. Go any where else, or Uber it. This place is not worth it. Waited over an hour for pick-up. The car i was given was dirty and smelled awful. 3 days later they were called to pick up the vehicle at a nearby auto repair shop when my car was completed. They waited 3 days to pick up the car and billed me for the 3 extra days. If they don't have the staff to perform their job, they should have said so and I could have returned it directly and called a cab. But no, they didn't. So called the office when i got my bill in email to get this fixed. "Please wait for next avaiable.." was what I heard for 18 minutes, only to get disconnected. 14 minutes the next time. 17 minutes the 3rd time. Called the 800# and they said they would have the manager call me back. 4 days later, no call. Call 800# again, same song and dance, and yup no call back. So i'm billed for 3 days of a car sitting in a parking lot. Guess business is so good they need ZERO customer service. read more

Skip Enterprise and go with the Big Three. Im done because I'm tired of reserving an intermediate car and then being assigned whatever car is in stock, be it a van, truck or compact car. If I was driving cross town no biggie, but for long distance I don't wish to drive a Nissan Versa Note. Then try switching cars. You drive all over and hope a location even had an available car and usually they don't. Lastly, Enterprise has zero safe guards or criteria for auto cleanliness. Be it cigarette smoke, trash, discarded pharmaceutical trash, I've experienced this with my rental. So. In essence I get to drive all over to pick up a car I didn't request, snd then sit in a filthy, smelly trash heap. I had a very good experience renting a car while mine was in the repair shop. They picked me up at the body shop and had me out the door in no time. Everyone treated me great and was very friendly. I rented a car from Enterprise at Belmont, NC when I had to put my car in the store. I was referred to Enterprise by AAA. The first problem I encountered was not being picked up to complete the rental paperwork. This caused a problem because my wife had recently injured her arm and was able to take me to pick up the car. Reserved a car (insurance claim) and was told there were options available from Kia Rio to Nissan Altima @ about 10am yesterday. We got an email confirmation with the address of this location. We got there, the guys couldn't help one person for the phones ringing back to back, not sure if it's always like that, but you can only help one person at a time. They finally said they didn't have any availability for us, after just telling us a few hours earlier what cars were available. Then told us we went to the wrong location, yet we had their number, I had called them earlier to be sure that was the correct location, and the email confirmation was this location. So they finally in between calls and over an hour of waiting, put us in a Nissan Frontier truck, and nowhere around has any cars available. My daughters car seat doesn't even fit in the truck, yet fit just fine in my personal vehicle. We've called all the local enterprises to swap the truck for a car with no luck. read more

My vehicle was in a wreck that was no fault of my own & I chose Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Belmont, NC as it The Thewas the most convenient location. I told the associates upon picking up the vehicle that I was NOT interested in their supplemental insurance & they signed me up and charged me for it anyway! I am used to doing a walk around the vehicle I am renting to ensure there is no damage prior to putting my own insurance deductible on the line which we did, and at this time I was actually signing my initials to taking their insurance which I told them once again at the time that I do NOT want their supplemental insurance as I have the very best of insurance through my own personal insurance! The associate and I (in a vulnerable state) were sitting in the vehicle prior to my taking off with the vehicle & he proceeded to tell me how much the coverages were and what they covered and had me initial an iPad in the vehicle once again I state I do not want any of your coverage...I am assuming this is to take the vehicle with my deductible with my personal insurance company at stake as I usually do which was actually consenting to taking their insurance! I was preyed on in a vulnerable state & forced to initial their iPad prior to taking their vehicle which I thought was consent to use my own insurance! They called my agent inside the office prior to coming out and doing the walk around to verify coverage and again pushed their insurance on me while sitting in the vehicle which I repeatedly told the associate that I was absolutely not interested in and was signed up for it anyway! I was unfortunate enough to have a tiny bit of hail damage done to the car during a storm in my area and took the car to be repaired of the dents by a dent specialist in my area and paid $200 to have it repaired so I did not have to pay my deductible of $500 since I of course did NOT take their supplemental insurance and the manager said she would at least have that deducted off of the insurance that I did not even buy in the first place & she charged me the full amount on my credit card and I am livid!!!! DO NOT SIGN ANY TABLET IN ANY RENTAL VEHICLE because they will sign you up for something that you do not want! I feel that I was taken advantage of as I did NOT want any of their coverage...I have my own excellent insurance! I am very upset with this whole process! They will email you a copy of your contract that I might add is also very ambiguous to read & it looks like it says that you declined their coverage on the contract when you are actually consenting to taking it! Please take the time to look over your stuff even if it is on an iPad in the rental vehicle prior to taking it (good Lord what poor practice) because they WILL take advantage of you! I had no idea of this until they called me and told me the supplemental insurance I elected to take was racking up after 21 days and I'm like "what insurance...I did not take any of your insurance!" They did not take off the $200 that I paid to fix the two dents of hail damage and charged me the whole amount! I am livid and don't want anyone else to be taken advantage of! I should have taken more time to be sure I was initialing a declination of coverage when they were actually sticking up mine! I have never felt so taken advantage of in my life...It' very dirty how they did me so I feel compelled to tell the world to watch out and don't assume you are initialing to use your own insurance because they are absolutely dying to sell their insurance to you even after you tell them repeatedly that you don't want it! big sigh...I hope all works out for me with disputing this because it has been the worst experience I have ever had with renting a car, especially with the wreck not of my own & it has worn me out with stress thinking I'm going to have to pay $300+ insurance that I did not sign up for intentionally! They prey on people in a vulnerable state & I don't want it to happen to anyone else! Please take more time than I did to initial their tablet because they will stick it to you no matter how many times you tell them you are not interested in their insurance!
