Our rental experience was not good. The windshield wipers were so old they left wide streaks across the wide shield we were continually pulling into gas stations to wipe the wipers with towels etc and clean the windshield ourselves. Next, turning on the headlights was a procedure using a knob next to the steering wheel AND the lever attached to the steering wheel that most cars use. The manual to the car was missing and when I told the Enterprise clerk this she said "well that's because customers steal them" ( who needs a manual to a car they don't own?) She also said we should have googled how to use the lights- well no wifi at Glacier Park or in the mountain passes.We spoke to several customer reps that said what can we do to make this right? BUT NO ONE DID ANYTHING despite calls emails etc. Sad we travel a lot we were loyal to this company and now ... have to find another one read more

I have always rented with Enterprise and on my recent trip to MT, I called this location to ask what their debit card policy was as I was flying in from out of state. I spoke to a very nice young man that explained the policy to me, which included showing proof of my return flight. I catch a Lyft there from airport, with all of my bags, only for the woman at the counter to tell me that out of state debit cards were not permitted. What? I was not made aware of that policy and told her I spoke with someone who said I would just need to show my return flight. She excused herself to go check with her manager. You would think calling ahead and checking the policy would be sufficient, but my first experience in MT became instantly stressful. Luckily she emerged and said her manager said it was fine. It would be helpful if everyone was on the same page with what policies are. The car was okay, but the car would not synch with a phone for music or GPS. We tried everything and to no avail. Normally, when I rent from Enterprise the deposit is returned to my account within a few days from returning the rental. This doesn't seem to be the case with this location. It was not a horrible experience, but my first underwhelming experience with Enterprise. read more

Awesome experience renting an SUV here. Saved thousands of dollars by renting here, one person took a $40 Uber trip, quick Costco stop, and picked everyone else back up at the airport. I was a little nervous about the SUV being there (thinking of the Seinfeld episode) but all was good! The location is new and clean. Person that checked me out was very nice and efficient. Took care of business quickly to get me on my way. Ford Expedition worked out great, no problem at all. Return was just as quick and easy,. Employee quickly took care of business and my Uber was waiting on me to take me back to the airport. Only small suggestion, which no car rental places I know of does-- would be snow tires. SUV handled ok, but roads were icy and did get sliding a little bit. read more

This Enterprise is honestly Bozeman's best kept secret when it comes to car rentals. We paid $350 total for five days, which is a damn steal compared to what you'd pay for a rental at the airport or other companies in the area (trust me on this one, I did my research before booking). Even with a Lyft to/from the airport (~$60 total), we still saved big time. As for the car itself, we ended up with a 2021 Nissan Versa with 8,000 miles on it. Handled our Yellowstone/Grand Teton trip like a champ and got us around safe and sound. It was clean where it mattered, but there were some small things like water spots on the windows and mirrors, a streak on the rearview mirror, and pet hair along the backside. This didn't bother me too much, but I could see how this might be an issue for others. Customer service was top notch. Very friendly staff and prompt service at pick-up and return. No surprises or issues whatsoever. Overall, 10/10 would recommend for your car rental needs in Bozeman, especially since your options are slim pickings! read more

A word of advice, last week of December 2023 I rented a Jeep at Enterprise Bozeman Airport and I made the mistake at pick up of just checking the body and outside of the Jeep. After a trip of a week, (the Jeep was mainly parked, and also driven on regular roads), never felt or noticed causing any damage, but at the time of return, (I was not told anything then), l got a communication saying that the Jeep was damaged, (undercarriage), a crack of about 4 or 5 inches on a panel, The estimate of the repair was $2,900.00 approx. and I had to pay a $500.00 deductible, I have learned now, next time I rent, I will thoroughly check for any previous damage even under the vehicle, and take pictures of anything out of the ordinary, you guys should do the same to minimize the risk of unexpected damage or at least make sure you have a good chance of not ending up paying for someone else's damage to your rental, Other than that, Yellowstone was wonderful :) read more

I choose off airport site because it saved $500, even with a quick Lyft ride. Everything was ready when I got there, got a free upgrade, excellent car. Friendliest service ever from a rental place. I needed to rent a car for our son. Yes, he's 23 and while Enterprise would rent to him, the fees doubled the car rental bill. We went a different way, Enterprise did not get my business. We booked a car with Enterprise in Bozeman for our upcoming trip to Montana, a couple of days in advance. LESS THAN 24 HOURS before our flight, an employee named Dylan called to inform us that "due to a glitch in the system" they would have no car for us. Oh, and that "every enterprise in the state of Montana is sold out." He refused to offer us any sort of credit or compensation, and we will have to watch to ensure the credit card is refunded. Expedia's agent really tried to help but there is simply no inventory the day before on a holiday weekend. I'm forced to do a last minute rental via Expedia from the airport, where the cheapest I can find is $2,000 for the six day trip for ANY type of car. Enterprise had been a bit over $500 for the same type of SUV. Totally inexcusable. And although it will surely get me nowhere, I'll contact corporate to complain. We were pretty loyal Enterprise customers for twenty years, but sadly not anymore! read more

Great, friendly service!!! I arrived an hour earlier than I said I would and I was prepared to wait to get my rental. I did have to wait and I was offered water and staff made sure everyone in the waiting area was comfortable. I was given a free upgrade even though I didn't ask and didn't mind the wait. The car was totally great and returning it was a breeze and I even got a ride from them after dropping the car off. Everyone there was extremely friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend them and will rent from them in the future. read more

Was involved in a collision this morning with an employee driving a company vehicle. Employee rear-ended me at a stop light, no damage to my vehicle, she handed me Allen Wick's card (Branch Manager) and stated he would be in touch. He calls me and says that she's saying I BACKED INTO HER AT A STOP LIGHT. Word to the wise - if you are EVER in a collision with anyone who works for Enterprise, immediately call the police and have a crash report done on scene. read more

The location seems a bit confusing and there isn't a clear idea of where to park. You could park right next to the rental cars if there is a spot open or park around the back. Either way, it seems rather unorganized. As the other reviewer mentioned, there is a funk in the place. Someone crack a window please. The person who rented me my vehicle did also explain that any damage smaller than a golf ball, they don't care about. All in all, it wasn't a bad experience or anything super special. Worst experience ever with Nikki P. Who is the manager there at this place. If you wish to know how to upset and insult a customer this is the one to teach you. No help resolving a simple policy loophole which doesn't allow for renters with check cards or cash unless you have utility bills for proof of qualification. Do you understand what qualification is? So you are telling me that you can't rent to me even though I have an honorable discharge from the US Army after 10 years and every good conduct award and medal and tab and bell and whistle... But you will rent to any other Joe Schmo who has a credit card without even knowing if its a credit card that's worth anything... For all you know this person could have stolen someone's identity and acquired a credit card and is now renting your vehicle. However because of your policy it makes it so much more or less risky to rent to a person with a credit card than one with a checking card? Come on does that make any sense at all? If you were a manager wouldn't you be concerned about systems that prevent Enterprise for making a profit? Isn't that the purpose of having a corporation in or a business is to operate for profit? To make money? So then if you are excluding people by your policy wouldnt you think that you should raise a red flag to your area manager and let them know "hey by the way I think we had a perfectly qualified individual but because of our failure of a policy we are not able to rent to them... Maybe we should fix it area manager what do you think?" My young adult daughter and a friend were bamboozled into booking "the only car " available to rent . They had to pay 1200 for 4 days. I have used enterprise for over 35 years and have had no complaint about their service nor prices. In Orlando, a full sized vehicle is $119 a day . This is a tourist area so i expect more ,but in Bozeman, 1200 dollars !! That is a ridiculous amount! Is this normal? I encouraged her to contact Enterprise with all the details. I would hope that a company that I respected so much would not stoop to taking advantage of two young adults women. read more

Stay away because that's what they did to me. Made arrangements to rent a vehicle. I told the person via email that my plane didn't get in until 12:30 pm. "No problem," he says. "We'll be open." "Remember to come to the office in town. It's about a 15 minute ride and about $20 for Uber." I arrive at 12:45 and the place is locked. Another couple show up and have the same issue. So I have to Uber back to the airport to the enterprise ticket counter where they tell me I might be able to get a car at 5pm but it's going to cost me an additional $130!!!! So I went down the counter to HERTZ. They got me into an upgrade and charged me less. read more

Overall I am happy with how easy it was to get a rental car--thanks to my insurance--however, enterprise was 30 minutes late picking me up and then the driver whom did pick me up managed to completly slide through 2 big intersections on the way to the enterprise office, all from him speeding and not knowing how to handle the vehicle on snow/ice which is pretty unacceptable. Once we got to the office, I still had to wait 30+ minutes just to get my rental to be able to leave because the car wasn't even there, even though I had made the reservation over a week ago. Their lack of preparation, planning, and the driver himself really did not impress me at all unfortunatly. Not the worst experience, but certainly not the best. read more

30 plus minutes in line to get reserved car Requested to sign that no damage on the car and the tank is full, and sent to the lot (advised to come back if I don't like something) - rear bamper was scratched up and gage was showing only 7/8 of the tank (it was missing 4 gallons to Full) - I took a hit as I was already late. When I mention it to the manager at return was promised to receive $10 as compensation for the gas - certainly never got it. read more

Paid $50 bucks to upgrade the car; waited 30+ minutes for the car to be ready; and then got charged an *additional* $50 bucks for the airport drop-off. I have to rent cars several times a month for my job and have a corporate account with Enterprise that I've used in cities all around Montana. The Bozeman office is extremely efficient, helpful and friendly. The staff there have gone way out of their way to help find solutions to last minute changes in plans and have even stayed a little late to make sure I still got my car when I needed it. I can't recommend renting cars with the folks at the Bozeman office enough! read more

I reserved a minivan to pick-up in Bozeman two weeks in advance. When we arrived the van still had dried spilt coffee in the beverage holders and the tires were low by 5 psi all around. The station grudgingly addressed these issues. At home, ready to pack, we discovered how absolutely filthy this vehicle was. Including: -- Outside surface grime & window with bugs and film of dirt. -- Under and around seat tracks was popcorn / peanuts / cigarette butt / coffee cup lid / straw / plastic beverage cap / pretzels. -- Potato chip crumbs under middle floor mat. -- Mid seat floor storage bin filthy with toy parts, clothing product tag, old gum, candy wrapper. -- Dust & dirt under third seats, visible when seats stowed. -- And, the vehicle monitor indicated that an oil change was due. -- Plus, the fancy satellite radio's subscription was expired. By this time the local station was closed. It took over an hour to prep this vehicle before loading. I telephoned Enterprise Customer Service (877-858-3884) on 8/10/13 and talked to Stacy. Upon prompting, she offered a complaint ID number and informed me that a regional executive would be in touch in a couple days. To date, I have had no such follow-up. When I returned the vehicle on 8/26 the agents were generally apathetic about the vehicle, trip, or issues. When I finally voiced our displeasure with the condition of the vehicle they immediately discounted the invoice by 10% but offered no reaction to this complaint. I emailed Enterprise corporate through their web site feedback form on 8/27/13. I have heard nothing from corporate, either. Piss-poor service. Apathetic workers. In the future, the quality of this experience with Enterprise will weigh heavily on our decision to look elsewhere for rental cars. read more

I rented a car and my car was vandalized while in their parking lot-3 weeks later no response or call back from the local or national office. I would love to give them a zero!!! I booked a Suburban for a long road trip with family and specifically told the Bozeman downtown office that I needed a roof rack. The young lady told me that the cars don't come with roof racks but they would install one before we picked it up. When we arrived, the Suburban was there but no rack. Instead of them trying to get one and install it, the manager called the airport office. They had an Expedition with a roof rack. We offered to drive out there to exchange it and he gave us $75 off. All in all, it was a hassle but the car worked out great and was bigger than the Suburban, so I am rating three stars. read more

Guess what?? she NEVER did. The gentleman at the airport was so flustered and was not pleasant. Horrible experience, I will never use Enterprise again. I work at a local university and we have rented trucks from Enterprise for the past few years and every single year, we have had issues with the license plates on these cars, among other things. This year, the truck we got had a hitch left on it, so we had to return it. Now, we discovered that the truck doesn't even have license plates on it, just a paper in the back window that expired before we even got the truck! This happened last year too. The incompetence we have had to deal with is astounding. Nobody there seems to pay enough attention to ensure that these vehicles are ready to go to the next customer. read more

So I took my dad here to pick up a car that his insurance company set up after he was hit in an accident. First off, this place smells inside. Not certain if it's mold or something in the carpet, but it was funky around 530 p.m. There were two young men operating the business that afternoon. Both appeared a bit disheveled and exhausted. The kid who processed the paperwork could use some customer service training. This location is nothing like most Enterprise locations I've been to at large airports. It took quite a while to go through the rigamarole of car rental, but eventually we made it outside. Of course, OF COURSE, the type of car that was promised was not available - I hate you rental car scheduling systems. So the SUV my dad was promised was replaced with a Chrysler 200 or some such sedan. The only thing I liked was that while doing the damage inspection, the kid said to only look for scratches below the paint or damage bigger than a golf ball. Every other place they just tell you good luck. At least this kid told us how it works. That's the only reason I gave 2, instead of 1, stars. In all, I'm glad I wasn't renting from this location. read more
