I've rented cars from the Enterprise Rent-A-Car location in the Bozeman Yellowstone Int'l Airport (BZN) twice this year and have been pleasantly surprised with the pricing, availability, and customer service relative to the other rental car agencies at the airport. These guys and gals are the best! A special shoutout to Alex who went above and beyond on my last rental. I will be back. As an aside, I'm very surprised at the low Yelp ratings for this agency. Over 2 hours wasted in lines! Had a reservation for Enterprise rental car.. (along with many others). They had 1 person (very friendly) working the desk with a huge line. The other rental car companies had a large line also but cleared out their lines while we all still waited. Finally the other rental car company agents (2 of them) assisted to get the line moving. I was handed paperwork and told to go up to get my rental car. I get off the elevator and was again in the same long line to pick up my rental car. Finally picked up my rental to now be stacked in a long line of cars waiting to exit the structure. It took over 2 hours to get the rental car and out of the structure. Do better! We arrived at the airport at 1:15, got in line at Enterprise at about 1:40, it's now 2:48 and there is still 20 or so people in front of us. They have ONE person working the desk. Every single other rental company who had the same length of lines cleared all their lines about 15 mins ago. Now it's just all of us who can't cancel their reservations being held hostage in this line to get a car. Called customer service and there was nothing the could do. We rented a car from here. I loved that this place was inside the airport. It was extremely easy to get to. It takes about 5 minutes to do all the paperwork. You get the keys there and just go to the car. The price was reasonable. I love how personable they were. They sent me a txt of there was any questions or concerns to reach out. Probably the most enjoyable rental experience I've had. read more

No issues with our experience picking up or dropping off and it was a new car. However we dropped it off at 8pm and the signs say leave the keys in the car and we will email a receipt. Apparently they didn't check it in till the next morning when someone came to work and they charged an extra day. They did refund when I called but that is a shady way to run a business. read more

A few days ago I rented a car from enterprise airport. No issues with the people working there. We must have waited almost an hour to get our car. Same with everyone else. We put the type of car we wanted and time of arrival on our reservation. It didn't seem to matter. After a long day, it was not great having to wait so long. read more

I'll be the first to admit renting a car during a pandemic can be a little uncomfy right? I'm not the type to show up with latex gloves and a tub of Clorox wipes but there's this little underlined thought in your mind like this shit better be clean. We had a great experience with Enterprise from the second we showed up at the pick up counter. Excellent customer service all around. My bff was a little on the fence and shocked me when adding extra protection insurance in Bozeman. I'm like I know I mentioned hoping we'd see lots of wildlife in Yellowstone but Dorothy this isn't driving in Iceland through Winter (prob the only time I've ever picked up that extra protection) for crying out loud. I thought it was a waste of an expense but ok we added it. The car was safe and clean and got us around and 7-10 days later or whatever the time frame is on this stuff we are healthy as can be. They have some drop off/return procedures that are new to further social distance you and really make things a breeze, drop the car leave the key buh bye! I'd rent from this enterprise again in a heart beat. read more

Absolutely awesome customer service. I've travelled a bit and always brace myself for a poor rental experience, I've seen in real time the different tactics used to sneak charges into the rental agreement. That was completely absent here. It took longer getting valuable local tips and places to see from the employee than it did finishing up the reservation. On top of all that, we go to select our vehicle and get a free upgrade on the spot. We will absolutely be going with this company again the next time we fly into Bozeman. read more

Ugh, I learned the hard way that booking online sucks. I put that I wasn't coming in until 10 pm but online switched it to Noon (without me realizing) and when I landed there wasn't a car for me :( Luckily the rental place next door had a car (for about the same price) and I was able to continue on with my Yellowstone/Grand Tetons extravaganza but was a bit upset. They didn't have the vehicle I booked so they gave me a different one. They spent 15 minutes telling me scare stories in an effort to get me to buy additional insurance although I told them from the onset that I had two different coverage policies already. She told me the scare story about the guy who hit a Bison at the park last week, then the story of the guy who's rental vehicle broke down in Yellowstone and had to pay $2000 to get it towed back. Sprinkle this with how my insurance company will be a hassle to deal with and they will probably not pay for all the damage. Give me a break already! It was also a quarter mile walk to where the vehicle was that I was picking up, same for the drop off. In addition there were $105 in miscellaneous charges tacked onto my bill for a variety of taxes, fees, license recoupment, etc., that I was not told about until I got the bill. Maybe this is normal for them but was a surprise for me. I won't be renting from them in the future. read more

Five star service! We accidentally left one of our suitcases in the elevator on the way to pick up our rental car (shuffling two small children after a full day of travel). Zach and his team spent an hour combing through surveillance cameras, calling different airport security checkpoints and ultimately locating our lost suitcase from the janitor who found it in the empty elevator. It would have been easy to just tell us they didn't find a suitcase when we returned looking for it, but they went above and beyond to help their customers and we really appreciated it!! read more

I've never met a more confrontational and unprofessional manager in my life! (Blonde, overweight white guy about 5'10-6'tall) There were issues getting the car (no problem, shit happens) but when we asked to speak with a manager we waited 15minutes (again not a huge deal). BUT as he finally walked up he took his name tag off and proceeded to cuss and berate my fiancé and I without even knowing what the issue was. When I finally calmed him down enough to listen to what the problem was he again became irate; saying things like "I don't give a F*** what either of you have to say, I've worked here for 15years and never had this issue". To which I replied "I understand that and neither have I which is why I'm trying to discuss the issue with you and hopefully find a solution". He replied with "I'm done talking, I'm not renting you a car regardless of what the F*** you have to say, get the F*** out of here" Mind you; if I/we were rude to him I would understand him getting an attitude....but even throughout the altercation we remained calm and friendly (we've worked customer service our whole lives so dealing with people like him isn't new to us) I rent vehicles about once a month and will NEVER go back to this location again; I'll gladly take my business ANYWHERE else (even if I have to pay significantly more). read more

Rental car agencies are always understaffed, and the same is true here in Bozeman. I had to wait 15 minutes in line to confirm my reservation, but once I got to the counter, the employee was friendly, courteous, and helpful. There was also some sort of issue with the airport gas station, so I had to wait about half an hour for my car, but the employee in the garage made sure to communicate clearly with me, apologized profusely, and even gave me a steep discount off my rental. Picking up a rental car is consistently frustrating, regardless of the location or company, but the Enterprise staff here work hard to make you feel valued as a customer. My hope is that management will provide them with better support in the future. read more

if you rent a couple times a year I do recommend using their free club where you build up for free rentals and they send you free upgrades each year. I am finding Seattles cars are slipping a little then in most cities, I rent once a week various locations, great way to decide your next car buy. My favorite spots to rent are smaller locations cars with less miles and better chance getting one with under 1,000 miles on it. One time in Boise,Idaho got one with 10 miles on it. But last couple times in Seattle heavy stained seats, tires a bit worn and not great traction on wet streets.But all and all I stay with them. Avoid at all costs. After having used them multiple times, on my last trip to Montana, I was given an SUV with a faulty tailgate. It was very difficult to close. On my way back to the airport, it actually flew open on the highway, spilling my luggage all over the highway. Repeated emails to Enterprise corporate have lead nowhere, with each response saying that my issue has to be dealt with by the local branch. Multiple calls and emails over months to the local branch have not received a single response. I will never rent from any Enterprise again. I couldn't be happier with my experience with this location of Enterprise. I had to fly out of town to Utah for school, and a few days before, my new debit card was stolen from my mailbox... the bank was able to issue a temporary one, but instead of my name, it said Valued Customer. After classes were finished, I came to Montana for the rest of the week to take vacation and see Glacier National Park. Prior to arriving, I booked a rental car through another company. Upon arrival, they refused to honor the temporary debit card or call my bank to verify that they had, in fact, issued the card. FYI, Bozeman is rural, and it's not like I could walk anywhere or take a bus... Frustrated and upset that I might be stuck with a ruined vacation and a booked hotel 5 hours north of me, I went to Enterprise. Honestly, at this point, I was crying. Manager Brett was unbelievably kind, and called the bank to verify my debt card. He rented me the last car they had left and gave me some Montana travel tips. I Enterprise. read more

Terrible service, terrible company policies. Blamed me for being in a hail storm and just was not the case. Terrible communication until they wanted me to pay, then it was litigiously one sided. Insurance paid even though there was no hail for 200 miles in the last 3 months. this is the worst rental car experience and Ive rented cars all over the US and Mexico. Worst car rental experience ever! Do not trust these guys. Make them come out to the car with you with a light and have them sign off with you any damage. We rented a car at the airport kiosk, directed to the car in the parking garage where there was no attendant. We used the key fob to find the car. We inspected the car thoroughly, albeit in the lighting of a parking garage. Drove 70miles to our rented cabin where it sat for 4 days, returned the car to bright lights and an overly zealous agent who asked us if we had been in a hail storm. 'No we had not' was my reply and he said 'all set, have a nice day'. One month later I receive a legal letter for hail damage. I checked the weather for a 200 mile radius of the airport and there had been no record of hail for the past 3 months. My insurance company ended up paying for it and my credit card paid for the deductible. This process consumed an ridiculous amount of time . It is just not right. This company hides behind its corporate screen and has taken advantage of me and my insurance. Don't rent from this company. Will never rent from Enterprise again. Terrible service, poor communication and understaffed except for inspectors and litigators. Sad state of affairs. read more

Take pictures of your vehicle when you return it! This location has filed multiple fraudulent damage claims. They do not properly inspect vehicles on return by completing a walk around with the customer. The vehicles are stored outside in an uncontrolled parking lot exposed to possible vandalism and extreme weather. I travel for work and have used enterprise exclusively over the last three years. This post is not a reflection on the company as a whole, but only a response to this very unorganized and possibly criminal location. read more

An unprofessional and unorganized branch. I've generally had good luck with Enterprise in the past, but my experience with the Bozeman airport branch was awful. After waiting around for an hour for keys, they put me in a dirty car that had been sitting out in plain view the entire time. To make matters worse, they tried to pin previous bumper damage on me because they neglected to properly check the vehicle in. If you rent from them, be sure to do a very detailed walk around first unless you're one to buy the "walk away" insurance. Based on the other reviews, it looks like I'm not the only one they tried to fleece with fraudulent damage charges. read more

Use them. Admittedly, a loooong walk to the Enterprise rental parking spots and an even longer walk back from their return area. But, assistant manager Joe was extremely helpful and quick getting us on our way, and; when I missed existing damage during pickup, but our son noticed upon getting out for the first time, we called the local office and Jackie was extremely helpful, asked for an email with a photo, offered to exchange the vehicle, and documented the damage. We dropped car at 5am, prior to opening, and price billed was exactly as quoted (using Costco travel reservations.) All turned out fairly and Bozeman Airport Enterprise team ensured a win-win. read more

Be very careful with this agency. I was popped with "damage charges" caused - according to Enterprise - by hail. They claimed there were dents on the roof, hood and quarter panel. However I did not see them upon returning the car, and they were not able to furnish photos. Also, the weather on the day I rented the vehicle was sky-blue. Could be a bogus claim, but because of the wording of the contract I'll end up paying. Suggest taking photo of your own when returning the vehicle! read more

I had an A+ experience with this rental counter after a really bad experience with one of the other rental counters at the same airport. There a lot of choices for car rentals at the Bozeman airport but Enterprise really stood out with their service, so I will choose them from now on when possible. Waiting almost 2 hours for a car we reserved months ago at Bozeman Airport Enterprise. Memorial Day weekend and only one person working the counter. No cars so even after you get waited on they tell you it will be another 25 minutes. Keep saying they'll make it up to us but we've already lost 2 hours so not sure a discount will fix that. I had this exact experience happen to me at this Enterprise location, and it smelled like a scam from the very beginning. I totally disagreed with their assessment of "damage" but the damage assessor told me I didn't know what hail damage looked like. When I received the damage report, about a month after I turned the car in, my roof damage turned into headlight replacements, fender damage and something with the doors, in addition to the roof. I hope Enterprise looks into this location and sees what's going on. Someone has a scam going here. I have dealt with Enterprise for many years and always found them a good company. This location does not fit the mold. Stay away!! read more

We booked an SUV weeks prior to our arrival. When we arrived at the rental counter we were told they had no SUV's available except for one with a cracked windshield. They encouraged us to take a Dodge Charger at a deeply discounted rate, which we reluctantly agreed to. When we got to the car, it had a low wiper fluid light and two chips in the windshield... and the car itself was fairly uncomfortable (we were spending the week touring Yellowstone in a car, which is why we chose to rent a comfortable SUV). We decided we would rather just take the SUV with the cracked windshield. They said they were working with a "skeleton crew" on that day and they didn't know how long it would take to be ready. Long story short... one hour 15 minutes after first arriving at the rental counter, we finally left the rental car lot with a sedan--not an SUV. They put us in a nice car, but it's not an SUV like we wanted for touring Yellowstone. It appears that Enterprise's solution for overbooking rentals is to have the customer sit around the terminal and wait until they have more inventory from returns. As a vacationer with limited time, I find that unacceptable. read more

We rented a full size car in order to visit Yellowstone. I usually go to Enterprise. The rental process went well. The clerk appeared new but under the watchful eye of another person he moved along quickly. In short order we had the keys and went out unaccompanied to find the car in a specified space number. The pickup lot can be about 5 minutes of walk time, seemingly a bit more distant than other in other airports. You initial that the car is in good shape before actually seeing the car, but the clerk gives you a preprinted form on what to look for in damage, how to report it, etc, before leaving. We did not find any damage. The car was new, clean, ready to go. Upon returning the car a week later it was 5 a.m. hence before employees manned the front desk. We followed airport signs and dropped off the car in an Enterprise return area. It was mixed in with other rental car return rows. Signs say to write down the mileage. Again, a 5 minute (or so) walk to the terminal Enterprise desk. Glad it wasn't raining, because this walk is under all of the existing weather conditions. At the unmanned desk we dropped the keys in a counter box and signed in with mileage and a check box to say we returned the car full of gas. That's it. read more

DO NOT RENT A VEHICLE HERE! We recently rented a vehicle at this branch and have had major problems. We returned the vehicle with NO DAMAGE at 430 am before the branch opened and dropped the keys in the drop box and got on our flight back home. We received a call that the tire had been changed and a different tire was put on the car and there was damage in the jack where the tire was changed. WE NEVER CHANGED THE TIRE OR HAD ANY ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE. After communicating this to the branch office we were told that we lied about the damage and were hung up on. I then escalated the claim by calling the damage recovery unit and customer service. I was told from customer service department that I would get a call back to discuss. No call back. I called again and spoke with the branch manager STEVE CAVALLARO. He was more than rude and said if we did not pay it would just go to a collection agency and we would never be able to rent from Alamo or Enterprise ever again... Not that I ever would after this anyways... The claim department did end up settling the claim with us. The claim department was very helpful and understanding but said that they could not adjust the full claim because it was already processed... Long story short. This is the first negative review I have ever written and I am not into slamming a business... But we were taken for a ride and the branch manager Steve Cavallaro is not a person you want to deal with. read more
