The cooler kept everything cold for 5 days and I only had to refill the ice once! I definitely recommend using them to rent a car instead of the big rental car brands.

When we declined Budget's insurance, Kyle started making snarky comments and guilt tripping us by saying things like, "you're getting a rental car and not getting insurance for it?" And when we said we have our own insurance that can cover accidents, he started giving us even more of an aggressive attitude. Then he brought out flimsy looking infant car seat and a toddler seat when we asked for two toddler car seats. He said they didn't have any more in stock. When I asked him about the child's weight limit for the infant seat so that I can make an informed decision about whether the infant seat is too small for my child, he started answering about the weight of the car seat. He was obviously not trained on car seat safety which is a huge red flag. When I simply told him that I'm asking about the weight limit of a child for the car seat, he started threatening us and told us, "I will take these car seats off of your rental then." We clarified that we do want the car seat, because we obviously need them to make sure our kids are safe, he pretty much threw the car seats on the desk and told us to go install them ourselves. Who the hell threatens customers based on the safety of their children?!? Anyways, I thought that the car rental company installs car seats for customers, so I asked Kyle why they are not being installed by Budget. Continuing his extremely hostile and aggressive attitude and tone, he started threatening again, "if you don't want them, I'll just take them off". We then started asking staff next to him if he can help us instead of Kyle. This other person also was of no help. He did not make eye contact with us and just told us to deal with the manager. So when we asked Kyle to bring out the manager, Kyle threatened us once again. "Alright you don't want the car? I'll just cancel your rental" then he started making racist comments, "this is the busiest car rental counter in USA. If you don't like it, go back to your country." We ended up taking the flimsy car seats to the rental car, spent literally an hour trying to install them. Toddler seat was fine but the infant seat was wobbly and kept coming off no matter how many times we retried installing. I went back to the counter and waited for a different person to help us. Turns out Kyle lied about the infant car seat being the only one left. The lady brought out two other toddler seats for me to choose from. Manager of Budget Bozeman, I really hope you properly train your staff or fire Kyle.

Completely unprofessional. Looking back at other reviews, this seems to be a pattern at this location: surprise upgrade charges and a manager with a terrible attitude. We turned around at the next exit and returned to Avis. They were apologetic and gave us keys to a different SUV, same class. This car seemed fine and we got back on the freeway. It wasn't until the next morning in Gardiner that I noticed the tires. They were extremely worn, with very little tread left. I rechecked the odometer which showed 21K miles. The car was new. So either the odometer was rolled back, or someone swapped tires off this car? Crazy. I have never encountered this before. It was too late to drive back to Bozeman so we just continued on our trip through Yellowstone. The tires held up thank goodness but it certainly made me uneasy to drive mountain roads on tires that bad. We dropped the car at SLC with full tank before flying home. It could have been worse. After reading some of the other horrible reviews here I guess we should count ourselves lucky. Definitely avoid Avis when visiting Bozeman.

Over 2 hours wasted in lines!…read more Had a reservation for Enterprise rental car.. (along with many others). They had 1 person (very friendly) working the desk with a huge line. The other rental car companies had a large line also but cleared out their lines while we all still waited. Finally the other rental car company agents (2 of them) assisted to get the line moving. I was handed paperwork and told to go up to get my rental car. I get off the elevator and was again in the same long line to pick up my rental car. Finally picked up my rental to now be stacked in a long line of cars waiting to exit the structure. It took over 2 hours to get the rental car and out of the structure. Pay extra for a different company to not waste hours of your vacation.....

Nate picked us up from the airport in a nice, black SUV, communicating exactly where we'd find him, helped load all our gear, and drove us to their office a few miles down the road. We received a new Crosstrek with barely 1000 miles on it. Check in was straightforward, as was the return. We especially appreciated that they require your own proof of insurance, via credit card or homeowner policy, and didn't try to upsell us everything under the sun. When my mom and I landed we walked to the car rental booths and got our paperwork sorted away fairly quickly. We then moved up to the 3rd floor of the garage to pick up our car and we basically left right away. Everyone was really polite nd the car I was given drove very nicely.
