The drawback is they were the only ones for a line of like 20 people, and given the nature of car rentals each person takes 5-10 mins. I ended up waiting 35-40 mins after a late flight and it set us back from getting on to our two hour drive. There was in fact NO fast break or Avis preferred line, although I saw a sign for one (so having that status didn't help me this time). The car pickup lot was a bit weird too, but had enough signs we were able to get out without much trouble (couldn't find an elevator though? I ended up leaving my mom with the bags and going up via the stairs). Despite this experience I would still rent from Avis/budget again :) but wish the process had been a little faster - again though, this had nothing to do with the actual service. They were doing a good job.

My wife has a medical condition/disability for noise sensitivity, so she couldn't get out of the vehicle. I left her in the return lane to talk to an employee about dropping the vehicle elsewhere. I had to go all the way into the terminal to find someone. By the time I returned to the vehicle my wife was in tears. Apparently, one of the employees checking in the vehicles approached and opened the door. My wife panicked and asked him to shut the door. His response was to laugh and point at her for the benefit of a co-worker. Real classy. We won't be using them again.

Nate picked us up from the airport in a nice, black SUV, communicating exactly where we'd find him, helped load all our gear, and drove us to their office a few miles down the road. We received a new Crosstrek with barely 1000 miles on it. Check in was straightforward, as was the return. We especially appreciated that they require your own proof of insurance, via credit card or homeowner policy, and didn't try to upsell us everything under the sun. Our car was clean and super fun to drive. Nate, and everyone else back at the office, THANK YOU for starting our Vacay off nice and easy.
