But, the person put me in contact with the custormer service, and after 20minutes of AI boot, I finally got a human on line and they fully reimburse my booking (hopefully...) and they were able to book me a car (for the same cost) at the airport location, with a drop off at this hertz location. The rest was definitively fine, pick up was okay since they had cars and drop off was express, just gave the key and they send me the statement 2hours later without any extra-charge as planned. So, overall not a bad experience because airport location had cars at the same price.

But I will say, definitely make an appointment and call before you come to remind them so that they have a car ready for you if you want it to be timely. Two out of 3 times we have had no issues with the actual car we've rented. Once it smelled of cigarette so bad that we had to ask for a different one. The staff is kind, efficient and seem to handle everything professionally. There is ample parking, in a safe lot next to a busy tire place. There is a customer bathroom, a wating area and is wheelchair accessible.

The solution is apparently to make a reservation and then call the location before coming over to see if they actually have the car you reserved. Sad but true. Live and learn! I will be very careful renting with Hertz in the future. Brandon was nice and professional when he told me there were dozens of reservations and no cars at all. What could he do? Well, he rented me a massive, huge, gigantic full-size heavy-duty Ram 2500 truck! Hey, I like adventure and this qualified! I got to drive this beast, very carefully, around New Orleans for a few days! What fun! I even parallel parked on Magazine Street! What a challenge! I didn't put a single ding in it and I did my best to avoid the infinite number of potholes in the roads around here. It rode like a tank and drove like a tank. The biggest challenge was actually getting into it! My wife is a strong tough sweet cookie as she climbed up there no problemo! It's high off the ground! I on the other hand, suffering with sciatica pain, had to experiment until I found a way to use my left foot and leg to climb up. Once I figured that out, life in a jacked up massive heavy duty truck land was good!

You're going to pay full price and it's usually a $200 increase. I do not recommend this Hertz location if you go with Hertz at all I'll do my best to call customer service but they're probably not going to help cause they told me there was nothing they could do last time.
