Went to them day before rental and asked for a 8:30 pickup for the next morning. Completed all paperwork and payments on line the day before and again requesting a 8:30 pickup. Got to their office at 8:15 day of the rental. It was full of customers. I was told that I would have to wait as they requested more cars from other offices. WHAT? I arranged for a 8:30 pickup. I reserved a car for pick up and when I arrived, they did not even have a vehicle on site and had to pull it from another location. There were several others waiting like I was. I finally took possession 40 minutes after my reservation time. Make sure that you check for every ding or scrape, because I was told that they will charge me for it if it's not already in the records. They were very scrupulous in assessing damage, I actually found some damage underneath the car that they were not aware of, but that they said they would've charged me for. This location will steal money from you so BEWARE!!!! They will not talk about their insurance and will just mark it for you... So nice...NOT! They have many different options for insurance but they will make sure you get the most expensive one. I asked the person there why am I being charged.... Your insurance will reimburse you he said... Come to find out that wasn't the case. This is all coming out of my pocket. My insurance covers rental insurance and if I was asked I would have declined their coverage. Evidently this location does it all the time per the collision place that was fixing my vehicle. Getting their insurance is how they make money. They keep contacting me trying to explain that my money was returned when it wasn't and they keep telling me that there's nothing they can do there is something they could do stop contacting me and return my money because this is not right. I paid the guy Trevor messed up and the money never went back on the account and couldn't go back because that card is no longer active. That's why I started using the other card. You can at least send me a check or something, but nobody wants to completely look and see what I'm talking about. No one is trying to rock resolve this they just wanna keep telling me that they returned the money and then I need to contact my bank. Well I contacted my bank and they said that there is no authorization for anything to come back onto that account and their credit card department keeps saying that they sent it back. I own a Tesla so obviously driving a nice car that doesn't take much gas is important to me I like something comfortable and reliable and doesn't take much if any gas like a hybrid or something while my car is being repaired. The Asian guy working with me which I don't remember his name and it doesn't much matter because he lied to me about a small suv Volkswagen that I saw available, saying that it wasn't available. Then a white guy next to me asks for it and the girl working with him said sure let me grab the keys. I spoke with the manager and he gave me a Mercedes hybrid which I really liked but I highly dislike crappy liars like the dude I was dealing with, integrity is important when working with people and his lack of it makes me not want to do business with them. Frauds and liars work here, they tell you the damage has already been documented when you point it out before taking the car, then surprise when you return they car they want to bill you. I reserved an SUV because my family was visiting from out of town and my small car could not accommodate the extra passengers and luggage. An SUV was not available and I was given a pick-up truck. I expressed some concern about the size of the truck but ultimately elected for the CDW to ensure if I had any damage, my insurance would not be involved. Unfortunately I had minor damage. My insurance company was notified by an Enterprise employee and a claim was filed with my insurance. My insurance company contacted me by email and telephone to discuss this claim at 09:11AM on Monday, 10 June. At 09:25AM I spoke with Danny from Enterprise who informed me I was calling during "the busiest time of the day" and "they would help me with my claim once the morning rush was over." I was pretty upset given I had paid a lot of money for coverage for my insurance company to not be contacted and now I was being dismissed despite the mistake made by Enterprise. Danny later left a voicemail on my phone saying "The matter was corrected within five minutes of the mistake being made. We also charged you $75 for the dog hair in the car that had to be vacuumed out." The issue here is I received the email from my insurance company at 09:11 and I talked to Danny at 09:25 (14 minutes, not 5) and the matter had not yet been corrected. Secondly, my service dog sheds - I can't help that and I would have cleaned his hair if I were informed of that requirement, but that wasn't listed anywhere in my contract. Thirdly, I asked where I could leave my personal vehicle when I picked up the rental and I was told that there is NO customer parking. I was also told if I lived within 2-3 miles, they could give me a lift home. I mentioned that I lived 7 miles and they said maybe a friend could help me. So I had to arrange for a friend to help me move my own car so it wouldn't be towed. I have been using this Enterprise for six years. I've been able to get rides to and from my home in the past. As well as leave my personal car in the lot overnight. This experience was awful and cost me a lot of money and grief. I'm likely not to be a repeat customer aftertastes concerns were dismissed and I was treated as less important than other customers. I hope nobody else experiences what I did. read more

Renting a car is never fun, but Enterprise was great! They drove a car over to the body shop where my car was being repaired. They went over everything and asked if I had any questions. They even called me when there was a miscommunication with my insurance. A week into the car, the air conditioning started having problems and they told me to take it to the nearest Enterprise and they would give me a new rental, which they did! Due to a minor fender bender, I was in need of a rental as repairs were completed. Don't get the bum reviews here. I've had nothing but fantastic customer service from Enterprise. Received a call from them when I did the initial claim. They met me at the repair place, went over the details (which could NOT have been easier), and the return was easy breezy. All along the way, I received nothing short of phenomenal service. When I returned the vehicle, they gave me a ride back to the repair place so I can pick up my car. I even received a call from Shelby that my coverage hit its limit. Recommend highly and will be back. read more

UPDATE.Heard from Enterprise today. They are removing the claim. Very positive action for Enterprise to take. A word my warning for any car rental Make sure you take video of car you are renting when you pick up car and definitely when you return car. Also always return to them and after walking around car and videoing car get employee to sign off. We learned the hard way. Will NEVER use enterprise again. It is always their word against yours and since insurance works closely with them they accept any thing enterprise tells them. Even with video proof they can win. This is a horror story!!! My mom had a car accident and we thought she wouldn't need a car becuse she would be in Florida while her car was being fixed. She got back and her car was not done so I called Enterprise and they told me to go to the Herndon location to get a car. The guy I talked to: Danny in Chantilly assured me that when I get there I would have a car ready that he would call. When I get to Enterprise the lady tells me that Danny never called. I told her i was very upset and I didnt like that he dropped the ball. She called Danny and could not get a hold of him. She then proceeded to take care of other 3 customers that came after us. I sat quietly trusting she would take care of me. She then tells me she has no car and because its after 6 now she cant get any. I ask her to have Danny bring a car or to call Danys boss and she said there is nothing to do. I keep asking to talk to her boss the regional manager and she kept saying that she was the store mgr and i could only talk to her. After a whike I asked her why I couldnt talk to the regional if she was just protecting Danny and she told me to Get out of her office dont come back!!!! Finally she did call the regional Matt Croce but she did not let me talk to him until she lied in my face and told him how Danny didnt promise anything blah blah blah. Summary: - Danny in Chantilly is LAZY. He told me there were cars in Herndon without checking and he said he would call Herndon and have them have a car ready for me which he didnt - Ryan in Herndon: when she found out Danny had dropped the ball decided to take care of customers that were there after me instead of calling the other Enterprises BEFORE they all closed. Then she defended Danny and did not want me to talk to the regional to see if he could get a hold of Danny. She later lied to Matt to make sure I was the evil of the story. - The spanish lady there decided to start talking to my mom in spanish while I was talking to Matt and even though my mom told her I was handling it she insisted in harrasing my mom!!! - Matt Croce sadly didnt do anything except defend Ryan!!! read more

There were two bad things that didn't go well for this rental. - On the pick up day, after we took the car back home, we discovered that the front right turn signal doesn't work, and the rear right turn signal is going bad. We had to bring it back and although the issue was resolved we had to wait for about an hour. We were heading out on our trip that day, so that's about two hour wasted. They need to do a better job inspecting vehicle before loaning out to customers. - The A/C of our vehicle can borderline keep up. Again, poor job when it comes to inspecting the vehicle before loaning out to customers. - Friendly staff. read more

I used the Enterprise Car Rental's satellite office located inside CARSTAR Chantilly Auto Body, since my insurance company (USAA) is paying the cost of the rental while my car is being fixed. The actual car came from another Chantilly location, I presume their one on Walney Road. They brought the car to me right at the auto body shop, which was great. However, they brought it there 45 minutes late (not so great). They only staff the satellite office when they're expecting a customer with an appointment. If you call their office on Walney Rd., just expect to be on hold for up to 20 minutes to talk to a live human. Good luck getting your GPS to get you to them at 4048 Walney Road, Chantilly since it guides you to a huge mixed industrial-office series of complexes and 4048 doesn't seem to exist! (at least not according to my GPS! I never did find it!) When you finally do get through by phone, Tucker is extremely helpful and polite and my hat's off to both him and the guy who finally checked out the car to me at the auto body shop. I suspect their office is severely undermanned right now and I have to give them credit for hanging in there and doing as well as they can given their circumstances. read more

This place used to be better, but now the staff didn't seem to care. I dropped off my rental this morning and asked for a ride back. The attitude of one of the staff (Danny) was a bit concerning to me. First he said they didn't offer courtesy ride unless it's within 2 miles, while last time they picked me up without any mention of the distance (I'm 10 minutes away). Then he said he's gonna see what he could do to get me a ride and disappeared. He reappeared after I inquired about the ride with another employee, and saying at least 30 minutes wait. At that time, I saw three staff around yet no true effort of getting me a quick ride, which is a service Enterprise prides themselves with. I have to say I was so utterly disappointed with this Enterprise yesterday! I am a month to month rental customer through a very large corporation and I am unable to drive per doctor order. I explained this to the gentleman R. When I called and told him my situation. His canned response was "oh we can't possibly do that." I asked what I was going to do as it is against medical advice for my to drive and I am the sole driver for the car? He suggested I call to a closer (than 3.7 miles) to see if they could pick the car up. The message of being a family run, feel company that will pick you up is deceptive and dishonest in my opinion! The second Enterprise I called in Centreville approximately 1.7 miles away provided the same answer. I informed him that their messaging was dishonest and showed very poor customer service! You think you understood what the sales agent was offering and then quickly initial what he put an X next to and Bam! you've just signed to pay extra for things you didn't want. When you realize you're being over charged when you return the car a few days later, they say "You signed on the dotted line stating that's what you wanted". Too late. Jerks!!!! Enterprise seems to always get high caliber workers, and this location is no exception. I rented a car for about 10 days in August while my car was in collision shop. Andrew, the young man who helped me on the rental and on the return at the end of the rental, was just great. He was polite, smart and helpful. The manager on duty was also helpful. He suggested that I might want to try a pick-up truck, which was larger and more comfortable than the vehicle which I was considering. He was nice enough to upgrade me to a large pick-up truck for the same price as the smaller class vehicle I was considering. As I had a number of household errands which would be much easier with a pick-up truck, I took him up on his offer. Needless to say ten days later, after I had taken numerous hauling trips in that truck, I was truly grateful. When I returned the truck, I was fully expecting to get beaten up/charged for the condition of the truck which definitely was much muddier/dirtier than the shiny new truck which I rented. I was amazed and pleased when Andrew said, oh don't worry about that, that is just mud and we will clean it all up. That's not been my experience at many of the other car rental places. I was very happy with their drop-off/pick-up service. When I dropped my car at the repair shop, Andrew picked me up about two minutes after I had called for a ride. When I dropped off my rental, the head manager of the office, drove me to the collision center within about 30 seconds of my completing the paperwork. Literally, 30 seconds. He was also a very nice guy. Really great location with reasonable rates. I will definitely rent there again. read more
