I have been in the property and casualty insurance business for 32 years, and have helped thousands of people approved rental cars as a result of a covered claim. Unfortunately early, the morning of 3/2/26 before work I was in an accident and my car was not drivable, needed to be towed to a collision shop. I have a brand new job, so getting to work the same day was imperative. I found a rental at approximately 11a.m I was quoted $55/day. on Wednesday, my insurance company called and authorized a rental car for me, but they, like most insurance companies use Enterprise. I brought them the car back Wednesday and told I would get back my $200 deposit. Well did not happed and they charged me $400 for two days of a rental. I have called and spoke with someone and set up a case for a dispute. Well, since that time, I have not gotten a response from a human being and all I've gotten is two emails., saying my case was updated twice. Over a month, no resolution, no human explanation of what I was charged and no refund. This the poorest customer service and bait and switch sales technique I have ever experienced. I would rather rent a horse for transportation than do business with this crooked company. DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THEM! This is the first of many bad reviews that will be written. Case: 80350414

This seemed odd because the hours said they closed at 12:00, so we arrived 30 minutes early in an effort to help them out. HAHAHA Well turns out their employees didn't feel it was necessary to send out all the rental reservations they had for the day. They left before we arrived. With no one there to assist us, we were forced to rent a car elsewhere but have no received our money back for the insurance yet. This is absolutely ridiculous and if they knew they would not be working this day they never should have set our reservation for this time. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE AFTER I RECEIVE MY INSURANCE REFUND. I will also pay whatever it takes to make sure you can not keep renting cars.

I wish this company God" Best and much success in their continual future business endeavors. On, Wednesday, I requested a car wash from Pro Source Auto Detail. Made the inquiry through yelp and received an email with an available day and time, on Thursday. It stated to "Reply to William on Yelp," which I did. I responded and confirmed the date and time, which was for today April 18, 2025 10.00 am - 12:00 pm. After no one arrived by 12:10, I called and was told they did not receive my response through yelp. Got some nonsense about the yelp app and etc. I was told that I was sent a message with their contact information, including name and telephone number. Did not receive any of that. Then I was told that my vehicle could not be done until next week. I stated that I wanted it done by this week end that is the reason I accepted the Friday appointment. Interesting to note, there are no recent good reviews. The only review in 2025 was a 1 Star. I should have paid attention to that and the fact that this was the cheapest quote I received. Next time I will follow my mom's advice, you get what you pay for, as well as be led by the Holy Spirit!

When I arrived at…read moreEnterprise to return the vehicle on Tuesday, June 20th, the customer service went immediately downhill. When the Assistant Branch Manager was able to assist me, he came to the counter with no pleasant greeting and did not introduce himself to me. He immediately sat down in his chair behind the front desk and began with, "What seems to be the problem?" (No eye contact). I proceeded to explain my present situation and question how I could be charged $158.00 for going over my maximum allotment when no one informed me of this at all. I explained to him (No name) I had been in communication with this office prior to me returning the vehicle and no one told me of any overage or that I had kept the car past the return date. The exchange went on at the front desk in front of other customers and employees including his trainee. His tone got loud, and my son had to interject, reminding him I was the customer and where was the "customer service". When asked why he was raising his voice and getting upset, he responded with, "I am doing just fine. I get off in another hour or so." The back and forth got exhausting and no resolution was in sight. Instead of de-escalating the situation he escalated it. He got angry, stood up from the seat and said, "I Am Done, I Am Done", You Mocked Me". I asked him what he meant, and he walked away telling me to leave the building. "Mam Leave." Before I left the building he came back to the desk and handed my son and I his business card. He said if I had a problem, report him. As he handed me his card he said to me, "Here Sweetheart". I was shocked at his condescending tone and disrespectful statement. I asked him not to call me "Sweetheart" and he said, "I was just showing you some respect". When his poor customer service skills were again called out, he made one final retort to the effect of "Enterprise is a billion-dollar company and sells/rents millions of cars a year, they will be just fine," despite the forthcoming customer service complaint. It was never discussed with me the return of my Deposit of $50.00 for the initial car rental or anything else. I returned home to check my online bank account to see it had been debited using my debit card on file from the $50.00 deposit for $108.00. This was an unauthorized transaction!! He kept the $50.00 as well. I have NO RECEIPT. He demonstrated every wrong thing one can demonstrate to a customer. Disrespect, Rude Behavior and Condescending Tone, Threating Tone, and No Conflict Resolution Practices. His inappropriate Behavior and No Demonstration Of Quality Customer Service Skills is why I will NEVER use Enterprise Rent-A- Car, Enterprise Car Sale's or Anything Enterprise and nor will any of my Family and my Friends. I will tell everybody I know how "One Bad Apple" can spoil a business's Reputation.

Only problem was that dealer was 4 hours away. Called and spoke to Nathan at around 4:00pm. That's when the over the top exceptional customer service experience began. We had recently thought we found a vehicle only to arrive at dealer and find the car was sold. Expressed our concern that this might happen again. Nathan explained the VA Select Policy of not "holding" a car if someone came into lot and wanted to purchase. What he did do, was commit to letting us know upon closing that evening (via text), that the car was in fact still available and we could commit to driving there in the morning. But that wasn't good enough for Nathan. He also went the extra mile and took a picture of a scratch he noticed on the vehicle and sent us pictures. Said he would ask the body shop to buff it out first thing in the morning. We texted Nathan when we departed our house at 6:30am (they don't open until 9) and he was then able to remove it from the lot so no one could purchase since we were now enroute. Upon arriving to the location after 4-hour drive, the first thing we say at the entrance was a shiny, newly detailed Dodge Charger. My son was very excited and Nathan proceeded to give us a 30-minute certificate to do a test drive. This completely suprised us, as our experience had been drive around the block with saleperson hovering in back seat. Son was convinced it was the car after driving it for 5 minutes. Upon our return, Nathan offered us beverages and escorted us to his desk for the daunting "sign and make it yours experience". Not once did we feel pressure. No haggling was required (we knew this before we came), and Nathan patiently answered each and every question. Once the paperwork was complete and ready for us to go to the financing department, we all went outside and talked about the car some more. Nathan shared several personal stories with our family and we were happy that we had him as our salesperson. But it didn't stop there. Once Finanace was ready for us, Nathan took it upon himself to take the vehicle to the the nearby service station and top of the gas tank. Outstanding. The financing process was quick and painless as we had pre-approval for the loan. Robert Seeney (F & I Manager) took over from there and made sure all the paperwork was in order since we were from out of state. He was extremely professional and had the personality of someone who took the customer service experience seriously. Bottom line is that our experience with Virginia Select Auto was exceptionally pleasant and we would hope that everyone would get the opportunity to work with Nathan if in the market to purchase a car. Their no-pressure process is something we will never forget. Thank you VA Select Auto!
