The rental car Enterprise provided for me started having issues. After 3 attempts on 3 different days they continued to say they did not have anything of the same size available to switch out with. On the 3rd day I was told the problem had been escalated to the area manager who never contacted me after several hours. I finally called Hertz and they had a car for me immediately. read more

It is with great sadness that I find it necessary to down rate my previous review of Enterprise Car rental at 11651 Midlothian Tpke Midlothian, VA 23113. I have been renting from Enterprise for over fifteen years overalland during that I have had issues arise at several other locations. I thought I had finally found a location I could put my trust in & be grateful to have a dependable location from which to rent vehicles. I am retired & elderly & I have been without a personal vehicle for over a year[since last March 2024] As I had decided I did not want to purchase another vehicle at this time, renting as needed was the best option for me. I wanted a break from the stress of owning a vehicle after over 50 years of doing so & I thought I had found a location that I would feel comfortable renting from for an extended amount of time. Anyway, this past week has shown me that I can not trust this Enterprise location & they do not value my business. I have rented a car from them almost every week since last March 2024, spending quite a bit of my limited resources, which I budget for monthly as I am retired. This past week I was misquoted the amount for my rental & therefore according to them[Brentlee to be specific] I was undercharged so they had me listed as returning the vehicle a day early. I called the local office[the location I rented from] & they told me I had a weekly rate so a return date of either Thursday or Friday was the same???? They[Brentlee] claimed to fix the issue on my account & when I checked my credit card, they had charged[without my knowledge or approval] me on March 31st & then again the day I spoke with them & according to this Brentlee it was to catch me up to my return date of tomorrow [Friday, April 4,2025] To stay I have NEVER heard anything so ridiculous in my life would be an understatement. The customer gets punished for the mistake of staff? Charging my credit card without my approval is totally unacceptable & the worst kind of business betrayal. Needless to say, I will no longer be renting from this location after I return the vehicle at the end of my rental period. I have lost sleep over this issue[an elderly woman on a budget] and I highly recommend that you avoid this location at all cost. Also, one of the reasons for their recurring error issues is that they cannot keep staff. New people are constantly appearing & people that were there are moving to other locations! They inadequately train new people & they do not know what they are doing. Having very poor management is a top reason this location receives such poor reviews. read more

Negative star service. Reserved a car for 12pm pick up on a Saturday. I called before the 12pm and asked if I could get it at 12:10pm as I live far. Manager said no we close at 12pm. Me: Why rent when you close? Manager: I got busy today and normal policy is to call all my reservations and tell them. I didn't today. You can pick up in Sunday at 9am. In the end I paid nearly double the fee having to rent it at another Enterprise. This location is terrible. Customer service has not responded either. I can't figure out how to give negative stars. I had a reservation confirmed online and then I followed up and confirmed with their global reservations team that my reservation was good to go. I then Uber to the Midlothian location to get lectured from the local team that I can' trust the corporate reservations team and that the local store was all out of cars for that day. Mind you I was standing there with my child with steam coming from my head. I will never, ever deal with them again, no apology given, no UBER credit offered, nothing. Criminal, they will be sued in a mass suit eventually. Not a trusthworthy place. read more

Had car for less than 48 hours but was charged for three days because I wasn't informed that they had non-Standard business hours and closed on Sunday at 1pm. Returned car at 1:30. I was given a confirmation number last week from Enterprise. I showed up this morning after dropping my car off down the street at the dealership for repair and tried to retrieve the rental car when I was told that there were no cars available for me. Instead, the manager, whose name is Jay, told me that he tried to reach the Enterprise 5 minutes away on Midlothian Trnpk near Buford Rd but was unsuccessful. He gave me their number so I could call them and see if they had any cars available. I left and called them and they told me (of course) that they had no cars available. What I don't understand is how this Enterprise confirmed my appointment to pick up a rental car and then when I arrive at my scheduled appointment time with a confirmation number, they do not have any cars available! Reserved vehicle to be paid for through insurance as mine is in the shop. Noon reservation for them to pick me up from shop, called when I was on the wad but they say can't come until I'm at the shop and ready. So I wait, call and they come fairly fast. When we get back to the Enterprise location the driver doesn't say anything as we walk in, he just goes in the back to a desk. I wait at the counter for help because the manager at the desk is on the phone. Finally one of the 3-4 people at desks comes up to help me. We go through all the preliminary information but she says her manager, the guy on the phone, is trying to find me a vehicle, they don't have any to rent at the moment. Since I'd made a reservation 2 weeks prior and they knew I was going to need a car I can't fathom how this could happen. I wait, as I was told they were bringing a vehicle from a nearby location. No employee said a word to me for the next 20 minutes or so. They just talk about who's going to lunch when as the manager carries on a conversation with another location regarding a car that has gone missing. No dialogue about what they're doing to get me a car. One by one people disappear to the back/service Bay Area, and I'm really starting to get upset. I have kids at home who I need to get back to so I ask the one remaining employee if my car is coming. He had no idea but went to ask. Original lady who finally helped me comes back and says they're cleaning a car for me. I ask what it is and I'm told it's a Nissan Leaf, a tiny electric car, when id reserved a midsize SUV. I don't even have a way to charge an electric vehicle so I refuse it. One other car has also been cleaned and it's small hybrid that's been heavily used and where the seats are clearly worn and dirty. I take it as I have to get home but they say they're looking for a SUV and they'll follow up later in the day and swap it out. 3 hours later and no word, I call and am told that they have a SUV. It was better but still not really what I'd been told I may get when reserving. They knew I was upset so at least they had the courtesy to offer me a free tank of gas. Said they'd keep looking but it's been 10 days now and nothing. Hoping my car will be fixed by end of week so I'm just counting the days until I'm able to turn this car in. Takeaway: original shuttle driver could have made sure someone was there to help me, Manager should have had car ready, or at least advised there would be a delay when I'd called in advance, Enterprise should not ever assume a renter is ok with Electric as most renters would not have charging capability, they should have kept me informed while I waited as I was the only customer present. read more

I was called at noon the day before, within 24 hours of the reservation, and informed that my reservation is being canceled because they are overbooked. Make reservations at your own risk. read more

I've been very happy with this location. I often book a cheaper vehicle & when I get there it's not available so they upgrade me at no extra charge. A couple of weeks ago to a Camaro convertible which was fun, especially because it was over two gorgeous days and I was working in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It seems like a lot of complaints for not having the class of vehicle reserved or promised, I know that's frustrating & disappointing. Just remember if your renting from a small local office the inventory is limited. The other thing is I'm guilty of keeping vehicles extra days due to work schedules changing. Not their fault but a vehicle that was die back for someone else then isn't available. read more

Mr.Rasheed, Mr. McCoy, Mr.Delonte and Mr.Owen were such a big help and made the transition so easy for me. I felt comfortable and it felt like I was part of the family as well. I reserved a Luxury vehicle from your Midlothian& Buford road location via email. I was called this week and nicely told by the agent that location didn't have that luxury vehicle. The Midlothian location 11651 Midlothian would have a luxury vehicle a Cadillac or Lincoln. I called that location and spoke with an agent who agreed that I would have a Cadillac or Lincoln. Today when I went to pick up the Luxury vehicle the Agents said they didn't have those vehicles and I could use a Buick LaCrosse. I feel that there was a bait and switch. Your people told me there was a Cadillac or a Lincoln at that site and there wasn't Your website allowed me to make the reservation for the luxury vehicle. You're closed tomorrow and we are driving to NY. Other wise I would return the LaCrosse. I'm very dissatisfied with your website and the fact that you don't have the cars available. Also that an agent at your site said either a Cadillac or Lincoln would be available. When Itold this to my renting agent he said "we haven't had a Cadillac here for 6 months" read more

I was trying to rent a car any car for the next two weeks because mine was in a shop being worked on . Called enterprise and got a lady named Taylor I asked her about rental and she quickly said we don't have anything on the lot , she then transferred me to a system for rental information.. I guess she didn't have time to take my rental information or this is what they do to everyone? Not sure really ! I gave the other lady my information and she was very hard to understand ( speaking English was a bit hard for her ) but was very nice I asked her did they have any rentals at the location that I had called because Taylor at that location said they didn't ! She assured me that they would have one for me by 8 am the next morning .. so I moved my busy day around to be there at 8 am .. at 7:30 am I get a message saying they don't have a car available! Now I try to return the 7:30 phone call to Taylor and they don't open till 8 am so I wait till 8 and call and now they have nothing and they are sorry there's a nation wide shortage and the lady in main office should not have said they had a car when they don't .. so no car and they not sure if someone is returning a car today or not ! Feel like the company should be all on the same Paige .. love that there phone tells you how important you are when your waiting to get someone on the phone ! Guess ! Oh. My. Word. Avoid this location at all costs. The first time I rented, a few weeks ago, the car smelled like smoke, the key fob battery died so I was locked out while the alarm was going off, and they gave me a tremendous amount of attitude about parking my car at their lot. They comped part of the rental fee, so I decided to give them another try. Big mistake. Today I reserved online but had to call for a pickup. I gave them my address and requested a 4 p.m. pick up. No problem, they said. At 430 p.m. I had not seen my pick up or had a call saying they were late. I called them and was transferred to the pickup driver. He mumbled something indecipherable and hung up on me. WTF? I called back and got another associate who then forwarded me to the person who hung up on me and they said "yeah, I'll be there in five to ten minutes." No apology. I give up on this store, and perhaps the company, and call them to cancel the reservation and complain about the terrible customer service. The guy on the line said, "are you calling from Bruce's Auto Body?" "No," I said, "I'm calling from my home in a residential neighborhood, at the address I gave you when I made my request for an at-home pickup." He then goes off on some schpiel about the driver going to Bruce's because they thought I was there. That made no sense whatsoever. I hung up, and am done with them. They need to go back to Customer Service 101. At the very minimum, they should have called when they were running late, with an apology. Instead, they lost me and got a bad review. read more

I reserved a vehicle online and they didn't even honored the rate and ended up paying twice what I had originally agreed to. I told the agent I had insurance but signed me up for unnecessary insurance anyway. I got my receipt by email and noticed that she had signed me up for insurance worth about $150, originally agreed to $11/day the receipt showed I waved. Won't be renting from here again! read more

I have worked with this Enterprise office for several years and they have always been responsive to my needs. They are a very busy office as they handle a lot of insurance claims since they are located in the midst of a lot of car dealerships but that does not prevent them from being able to take care of me as a business renter. The office can be a bit busy at times due to the above, but the agents are conscientious and work very hard to keep everyone moving and being served. My most recent rental is a good example. I had reserved the car for a Wednesday morning pickup but my plans changed and I had gone online to change the pickup to Tuesday afternoon. When I went in, the agent that assisted me said that my reservation was still showing for Wednesday morning and that they did not have any cars. I told her that I needed to pick up the car that afternoon and she contacted her manager and somehow they came up with a car for me! Just another indication of how service oriented this office is. read more

So, I rented a car to take my sons to a football game in NY. The first problem was a huge stain on the driver's seat. Nothing like sitting in someone else's filth for two days. To make things worse, the car had less than a half a tank of gas. Enterprise can't be troubled to fill up the car before they put someone else in it? As I leave the parking lot, I'm having a tough time seeing out of the windshield because its so dirty (inside and out). Enterprise can't run the car through a car wash? So I bought some windex and cleaned the windshield. Then as I'm getting the car up to highway speed (55-65) a deafening hum is coming from the rear end . . . particularly annoying for my son in the back seat. This usually means that the car has been wrecked and poorly repaired. Enterprise rents crap. Save yourself the frustration and rent from another company. read more

The staff was not very friendly. When I walked in saying I was there to pick up a car all three just stared at me like they were waiting to see which one would help. The girl mumbled and told me I was going to have to wait for someone to walk me out, could not understand her reason for why even after asking more than once (due to mumbling not until she spoke to the next person did I know it was because she was on crutches) But as I waited I watched another employee just give a customer keys and when asked if she was going to do a walk around said "no that's not needed you're good" finally she said ma'am I can take you out to the car, did not approach me by name and stared at me like I should have known I was who she was speaking to - I was not the only customer in the building. She didn't want to do a walk around. The car is also 3000 miles overdue for an oil change - they better hope I don't break down somewhere since they didn't seem to care when I told them it was past due. read more

For the most part, renting with Enterprise at this location was a great experience. The vehicles I had were clean and in good repair. The employees always took me back to the body shop when ever I dropped the vehicles off. The only down side is none of the cars had SpeedPass Velcro strips attached to the windshield. I either had to hold my SpeedPass up in the air or end up going through the toll without paying. When this happens, SpeedPass charges the owner of the car, who in turn, charges me, but they added on a 14.00 "fee" for their inconvenience. Almost immediately after I realized I passed a toll and did not lift up my SpeedPass, I called the SpeedPass company and they said they already charged the owner (Enterprise) and that Enterprise had already paid, it was almost IMMEDIATELY after I went through the toll. They also said if I had paid the toll via the phone BEFORE Enterprise, they would not have know about it, but, Enterprise paid the toll so quickly, I never had a chance. So, I believe Enterprise uses this quick payment with the toll collectors, along with the extra "fee" as a revenue source by not putting up the Velcro strips in the vehicles. Now if they keep charging these fees, they should have enough money to buy some Velcro strips for all the cars, they may even be able to get them free from the SpeedPass providers. I just do not like the fact that they can charge me a "fee" for something that I was going to take care of myself. I know I agreed to it in the contract, but it is buried down in the fine print, and it is so lengthy no one has the time to read it. Will I rent from Enterprise again, yes. But I'll bring my own Velcro strips. read more

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS BUSINESS!!! I had a 1600 mile trip to take and rented a Dodge Journey. At 400 miles, my 4 companions learned that NONE of the OUTLETS for our ELECTRONIC DEVICES were working. To solve our problem we did the following: checked for manual in glove compartment (NONE), called this Enterprise (NO HELP), called National 800 # (NO HELP). Finally we were told we could exchange the car but this wasn't an option on this long trip because of the time it would have taken. SO I DROVE 1600 MILES WITH NO GPS AFTER THE BATTERIES DIED IN ALL OUR ELECTRONIC DEVICES! Upon my return the manager says LAUGHINGLY , "I'm sure it is just a 50 CENT FUSE that we can replace." REALLY?? This situation was funny to him?? DO NOT USE ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR unless you are 100% sure that everything works in your car....BECAUSE YOU WON"T GET ANT HELP WITH A PROBLEM...BUT YOU WILL GET LAUGHED AT!! read more

We have used this Enterprise location a few times now, and the quality of service and vehicle seem to be steadily declining. In June our insurance company paid for our rental car but Enterprise debited $340 from our checking account "by mistake". It took a month to fix that. This time I was charged the rental twice before I even left the parking lot. The first car they wanted to rent me reeked of cigarette smoke. The second one is several years old, had body work that needs to be addressed and had a bad odor in it. I am definitely looking for another place to rent cars! read more

I have always rented from Enterprise for all of my rental needs for over 20 yrs. I rent cars at least 2-3 times per year. I was so unimpressed with my last experience that I am surprised that they emailed me and asked that I give them a review! This is my second time using this location the first time was over 7 yrs ago and the last time was 7/11/15. When I made the reservation there was no problem the lady looked me up in the system and made the reservation NOOOO PROBLEM. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle I was advised that I needed 2 bills, proof of address (because i didn't update my license to reflect my current address) and auto insurance. Well I guess I am the stupid one cause I don't drive around with my bills in my car. I have NEVER had to do this when I rented with them before. Luckily I was able to pull my bills up on my cellphone BUT how would I show proof of my address. I am sweating bricks because I have a wedding to be at in MD at 3pm! Why didn't the person who made the reservation make me aware of this. I feel that they are very unprofessional and careless. I drove away and decided to pull over to see if I could gain access to my DMV account well I was able to do so. I drove back to Enterprise and presented this as evidence that it was updated over 3 yrs ago. Finally, I am able to rent the car and be on my way. Made it the wedding 10 mins late. Enterprise will never get a dime of my money. They need to work on there customer service and delivering it more thoroughly! read more

While my car was getting repaired, I needed a rental car. My insurance company set it all up. Unfortunately my insurance company never made the rental reservation. Enterprise didn't have a car available, but once they did, the service was fantastic. Tony got me set up in a rental car, another agent assisted and as i have two children in car seats they got me into a car that fit the car seats as well as a driver (not all cars can handle car seats comfortably). At the end of the week, when I returned the car, I got to the body shop before my car was finished. As I had appointments to be at, enterprise was able to accommodate me by extending my rental the hour I needed to get to an appointment and still pick up my car on time. Samuel assisted with that and boy was it ever a nice experience dealing with everyone at enterprise at this location. It is not my first time using this location, and probably wont be the last.
