I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I made a reservation in advance expecting a vehicle to be ready upon arrival, yet I have now been waiting over 2.5 hours and still have not received my rental car. The purpose of making a reservation is to ensure availability and minimize wait times. Unfortunately, that was not the case. There was very little communication regarding the delay, and no realistic estimate was provided as to when a vehicle would be available. What makes this even more frustrating is that I was supposed to be traveling for my birthday. Because of this delay, my plans have completely changed, and I've spent a significant portion of my birthday sitting and waiting instead of enjoying the trip I had planned. Not exactly how anyone hopes to celebrate their special day. I understand that unexpected issues can occur, but waiting several hours after a confirmed reservation is unacceptable. This experience has been frustrating, inconvenient, and has significantly impacted my plans. Happy Birthday to me, I guess. I hope management takes steps to improve vehicle availability, customer communication, and reservation fulfillment so future customers do not experience the same situation. read more

Worst experience ever I flew into Cheyenne airport and there was no one working there . You have to call a number and they don't pickup the phone . Finally we hear from another person waiting that there are no cars . We have to get picked up and taken to their other location and wait for a car to be ready. Then when I went to return the car and pick up a new one there wasn't anyone at the airport again and once again they don't pick up the phone . I end up having to drive to their other location and wait forever for them to try and get me a car. Mind you I pre booked everything! Worst experience ever. Just FYI the Avis people were at their desk the whole time ! Never again with enterprise ! I will say I dropped my rental off in Denver and the customer service was amazing they were so helpful and Brett the manager gave me a discount because of the service we had . Second time renting from this location. Both times were a mess. Misleading/deceitful conduct, disregard for type of vehicle requested, shortage of inventory, shortage of employees. Although the young lady that helped me on10/30/23 was trying her personal best, her manager(s) have set her up for failure, realizing it or not. I'm not doubting that most of the employees are trying hard, but the business practices being used are NOT good for the employees or the customer. They are essentially "robbing Peter to pay Paul" just to get customers out of the door with no regard to the trickle down effect that leaves other customers suffering. This is a busy place as it is one of only a few rental places left in Cheyenne. It has potential but needs a management overhaul badly. read more

It was a terrible experience; they made me bring the car back early so they could put me in a junker and give the one I had to another customer. They lied to me and said I had to bring back because it needed an oil change. I was only supposed to have it for a few days and there is no such thing as an emergency oil change. read more

I rented a car for one day. Apparently they don't do after hour drop offs which nobody informed me of until after the fact when I tried to get this corrected since they are closed on Sundays and they close early on Saturdays apparently even though they have the key drop box, that is literally four after hour drops they still will charge you for the whole of Saturday and Sunday. I was not informed that I needed to have the car back on Saturday before they closed or I would be charged for the whole weekend. I charge that I was quoted for at $99 appeared on my card as almost $300 read more

Complaint can go for either Enterprise or National. Original reservation was for National. We showed up at The airport to pick up an SUV and the note said to go to Enterprise at a different location. When we show up there they claim they left us a voicemail saying they didn't have a car available. That voicemail was never received on either of our phones so no idea who they called. Made the reservation over a month ago, how does that happen? Oh, because they have a lot of business with the government right now and that's their money maker. Yes, that's what we were told. I've rented from this location twice! I had great experiences both times! The first time Sarah, Doug & Molly helped me rent a large truck! Everything was explained well and as a world traveler it was a flawless experience. The second time I worked with Kevin & Natasha --Natasha was an absolute Queen! The car had a slight slight smoke smell and she gave me a discount and apologized. Well let down by Enterprise again...had this happen in Encinitas CA as well...go online reserve a car due to a last minute need. All good...until 5 hours later (3 hours after the local Enterprise has closed for the day) get a call from the local Enterprise saying they would not have my car until after 2pm...I need it @ 730 am...not much good to me at that point....Enterprise needs to fix the disconnect on availability and not allow a reservation if no car is available. COMPLAINT ---- I PHYSICALLY went into the Enterprise location in Cheyenne Wyoming, (1217) on 1 Aug 2016 to make a reservation for today (15 Aug). I stood at the counter and made the reservation explaining that I already had my truck scheduled for repair. On 8 Aug STATE FARM sent over the confirmation that they are paying a portion. Last night, Sunday, 14 Aug, I received a call from the local office asking if I still needed the rental for this morning, as they had more calls over the weekend than they expected. I confirmed that I did. This morning, I went into the office, and was told that as my reservation was only "tentative" they would see if they could get me something later today or tomorrow. I asked for the MANAGER, and ERIC TURMAN, the Assistant Branch Manager said that HE was the manager. I asked for the number of a regional or district manager and he said that he was the only one I could speak with. He said they reservation is only tentative so there was nothing he would do. How the hell do I make a confirmed reservation? I called customer Service and explained the situation to them, and they passed me to the escalation team. The person at the escalation desk took my information and said a regional manager would call me WITHIN 24 HOURS. I am stuck without a vehicle after: 1) making a reservation IN PERSON, 2) having State Farm CONFIRM the reservation 3) and having ENTERPRISE CALL ME TO CONFIRM the night prior There is NO ONE at the corporate Customer Service line that can do ANYTHING but pass the complaint to a regional manager who has 24 hours to even call What is the point of being and Enterprise Plus Member? Where is the appreciation for loyal customers? I will also be letting State Farm know how Enterprise is treating their customers. I have spoken with both the branch manager and the regional manager. Their responses were the typical drivel, but no real action. State Farm has called me three times concerning this and their reps are actually upset that one of their customers was treated this way and that their reservation was ignored. You might as well purchase the damage protection. Because even if you don't, they are are going to tell you did and charge you for it anyway, even after proving you declined it. They are still going to tell you that you accepted it. Because the waiver that you initial that they email you showing you declined it, somehow shows on their end that you accepted it. Then you are going to have spend over a week dealing with something that should have never been an issue. The entire experience has been nothing but frustrating and was never at any point helpful. This may be the worst service I've had in my life ever. Not only does the National Rent a Car (owned by enterprise) NOT exist in Cheyenne, Wyoming... but when I learned that after walking 4miles from my hotel, the red headed girl (supposed to be in charge) refused me service. She said if I didn't have a major cc she could not help me; even though I had made a reservation with the National Rent A Car company (whom DOES accept debit). I offered a deposit, and she still refused to help me. Her assistant wrote down my phone number on a sticky note as if they were going to look me up on the computer or contact me if she changed her mind, but he didn't write my name, and clearly no effort was made to look me up. She very dryly said "sorry" and asked me to leave, as if she was really sorry, she wasn't. She proceeded to help this strange homeless man who was seemingly looking to hitch a ride, and other 2 men that were there, bypassing my existence. I tried to make the best of my week long vacation in Wyoming WITHOUT the car rental I had originally reserved, but really you need a car to do all the activities I had Planned. Normally, I would just let it go, another rotten bad customer service person in the land,,, but now that I've been back home for a couple weeks, I'm still haunted by the memory of her REFUSING to help me. I don't know how this young red-headed girl became manager, but she very noticeably does Not have enough customer service experience or experience around other females period, & something should be done for Enterprise's future potential customers in that area. Worse ever! Had an online rental set up. Day one they called me an hour before and said they didn't have a car, but would have one in the morning. Day 2 so sorry we still done have a car. Day three I had to call them to see what the hell was going on. Day 4 manager said they should have a car today and will deeply discount it for me. So after waiting 4 days to get a car I gave up. I live in cheyenne and needed the car because ours broke. Missed work, 2 dr appts, and a vet apt. I would never recommend them to anyone! This manager is running a scam and you can not drop off during the hours they have listed to drop off because they close/put a sign on the door they have closed early and do not have a key drop box so you will get charged extra days even if you do leave the car on the day and during the hours you are supposed to. Rented a car at denver airport did walk around and noted existing damage and drove to Cheyenne WY enterprise location once there during inspection they claimed there is a 4 inch dent in the hood. I had a unique situation and Enterprise as a company, I feel, certainly did not help. I was able to pay the rental and insurance, but because of my unfortunate living arrangements due to a separation I wasn't able to rent a car. Please procure a vehicle elsewhere. Make sure you document every dent, ding or scratch prior to accepting the vehicle. I was told that I had dented the rear bumper of a vehicle and that they were making an insurance claim. They asked what my max deductible was, and withheld my security deposit. I went to inspect the "dent" and saw it was simply discoloration in the chrome with no scratches or denying whatsoever. Now I am expected to pay a deductible and have an insurance premium increase. The customer service with these people is amazing. My wife recently was in an accident, and we needed a rental while the other one was in the shop. They sent us off with a Chevrolet HHR. We told them it was only supposed to be a couple days, and we ended up calling them like four times to tell them we still needed the car. Each time, they said no problem, and that was it. My wife took the rental back today, and they even drove her to get our car from the shop. Outstanding customer service!! read more

The customer service that they provide at this location is second to none. Every time I go in here Eric or Miguel are there to assist with my every need. On one occasion my bill was incorrect and once they were notified, I not only received my refund but an additional 5% for my troubles. The drop off was several lanes from the shuttle so we had to put our bags in a puddle of water and then walk a couple hundred yards to the shuttle. I recently had to make a trip to Utah and had goofed up a date, which they graciously overlooked.. then while in Utah I got very sick, and when some family offered to get me back home, Enterprise took care of me, when they could have stuck it to me. I rent from National every week in my 20 year career, across the country, and I have NEVER had the experience I had today with Enterprise at the Cheyenne airport, doing business for National while National gets their counter up and running at the airport location. After making my reservation through National, the agent from the Enterprise location in Cheyenne called me yesterday to let me know that in order to get my car upon arrival in Cheyenne to call when I land so their shuttle can come pick me up at the airport to take me to the rental facility. That sounds all good until you arrive and not only is the number he confirmed with me state "not a valid working number" when you ring for 5 minutes, but when you call the number posted at the unfinished counter at baggage claim that is different by the way, you get NO ONE and then you are prompted through choices to end up ringing endlessly where a recording says "all agents are currently busy". Ultimately I had to call the main 1-800 number to have an Enterprise agent that was initially rude to me because I did not have WiFi at the airport to be able to give him my reservation number. He seemed annoyed by me but proceeded to look up my name and reservation. Again, I have never been treated this way by National- so the agent came back claiming he contacted a person at the counter and they would be coming to get me, that in fact they were on their way and"close by". He took my phone number and said he gave it to them to call me on their way. I proceeded to wait another 20 minutes when I called again- no one-- called National this time where the agent said he was confused but then thought he put me on hold to call the rental location, only to disconnect me to the part of the call to get a survey. No one showed up. NO ONE. The other rental companies had no cars and shared with me this is not uncommon. I was the only person at the airport so long to the point one of the airline agents came outside and said, "Ma'am do you have a ride?" I am here on business and at this point am already 1 hour behind getting to my destination. Luckily, there is Uber in this area and gratefully I was picked up by a great Uber driver who shared with me he has taken 8 people this month already, who have been abandoned and ignored by Enterprise at this location. It was shared with me that this store not only strands people, they give away other people's reservations. My Uber driver drove someone yesterday to which this occurred. I guess, Enterprise is giving Uber business so lucky them! My Uber driver, however, was frustrated that it's leaving a bad impression with people that come here. $125 later, to which I am going to write the company, I was able to get to my destination AND without a vehicle for the two days I'm here. I will NEVER USE Enterprise at this location, and based on what the locals tell me, this is common on a daily basis. This is setting a bad tone for people that travel here to Cheyenne, which is beautiful. If you are thinking of renting from this store, do at your own risk and be prepared to be left with no means of transportation . I'm STILL waiting for them to call me to let me know they are "on their way to pick me up." read more

We had a terrible experience at this location. We rented an SUV at the Denver Airport for a 23 day National Parks vacation. While in the Rocky Mountains, we had a repeated warning light about the tire pressure on one of the tires. When we got to Cheyenne we decided to stop at this location to see if the problem could be rectified as we had 17 more days of our trip left. We were offered a smaller vehicle, and told that we could not get a comparable car until later that evening. We decided to switch to the smaller vehicle, so would not have to delay our trip. About 90 miles down the road I noticed I had left 2 personal items in the car. I promptly called the Cheyenne location back, only to be told that car was already on its way back to Denver because of the tire problem. When I called the lost and found department at the Denver Airport location I was surprised to find out that after we turned in the original vehicle at 10:10 AM. It was rented out to another customer at 10:52 to another customer. If the problem could have been rectified in 42 minutes, we would have waited for it. Either that or this location rented out a car with a known problem. The agent at this location flat out lied to me about the location of the previous vehicle. I hope the next 17 days go smoothly for us with a smaller car. We are very unhappy. read more

Reserved car size was not available at pickup. Agent gave me a car one size smaller which promptly had to be returned. Even that car had not been cleaned and was not ready for customer pickup. Agent was nice, however, and exchanged car when the proper size showed up. He even gave us free fuel for the problems. Have tried to rent a car this past weekend, refused to rent me a car even though I had reserved one. Complained and they said they would make it right and rent me a car on Monday.
