Please do not do business with this enterprise! I had the absolute WORST experience with Paul! He was extremely rude to me and failed to help me, which came off as racist! I came in for a luxury vehicle (which i normally drive a Jaguar) and he saves those better cars for other ppl of his kind. I had a company reservation due to an accident and he did not want to assist me told me to go to another location! This is the worst location I've ever been to! So disappointed! read more

This was my first time using this location and they were great! I came in during an extremely busy time and the service could not have been better! They acknowledged us immediately and let us know how many people were ahead of us so we had an approximate wait time. They are very efficient and organized. Awful experience at this location, the Manager here does not care about the customers at all. Honestly he deserves no stars. I tried to call 3 different times to confirm my pick up time as my car was in the shop & insurance used this location for my rental car. I did not get an answer the 2 times I called, I was on hold for over 30 mins & had to hang up due to the long wait. The third time I called I waited on hold for 45 mins and finally spoke to the Manager who assured me that they will pick me up from the auto body shop (its 5 mins away from enterprise) at 1pm so I can get my rental car and be on my way. He said "We will have you out of here by 1:45pm the latest" my fault for believing his absolute lie. I needed to confirm as I was doing this on my lunch break which is only an hour so I made them aware of the situation and he made it seem like it would be no problem at all "we do this all the time" he said. The day comes and I had to wait at the autobody shop for 50 mins for a ride that is 5 mins away. The autobody shop even texted them multiple times to see where they were bc even they were like this is ridiculous how long I've been waiting and were apologizing for enterprises mistakes. I then get to the enterprise the car isn't even ready for me, they are still washing it. The same manager who promised me I would be out by 1:45pm the LATEST is now telling me that he is short staffed and only has 1 other employee working with him (is this my problem?) Also, why did you guarantee a specific pick up time if you knew it wasn't obtainable? I got there at 2:02pm and the care wasn't even ready, like really?? Really its terrible that the day before he was so confident and sure but then the time comes and its a totally different story/tone. So basically don't believe anything he says bc its probably a lie. I should of seen the long wait times to just talk to someone at this location as my source of truth bc as we all know, actions speak louder than words. Very bad business practices. Received a ticket from the city/ unfortunately never saw the ticket on my car. Enterprise wrote my address wrong - they also never emailed me my ticket only emailed me that I owed $25 which was automatically taken out on the CC on file. Since I did not know, I had a ticket it tripled to $183. The city of Chicago could not do anything since the car was not in my name - When I called Enterprise citation, nobody could help me for three months now they are telling me there's nothing they can do. Was told i would get a CX-30 or CX-3. Got a 4-Runner. They "botched the returns" or something like that. This office needs to realize that size change can be very difficult to manage with garage spaces. I could have had a more reasonably sized Porsche or Audi SUV but had to pay for it. read more

Well since I was asked to review here it goes. Starting w the auto. The worst car 2nd in my life in terms of comfortably ride. " THE WORST" It was a Kia w all the whistles. ( my passengeras well as myself ;;;;walked away like two old 90 y/0 as well as epsom salt baths and salonpas patches. ) The Kia Had lumbar support etc. but just terrible ! In all fairness this was not enterprise total fault but @ the price I paid it was terrible. Even w the Costco discount ! "So the bmw has no keys ! The other car had a flat. "Etc etc. Selection @ this location is poor and the day I rented was poor. Back to the car. Tank of gas was not full. The car was washed outside but the inside I had to stop and clean. 5 to six spots on the window w dirt/foggy visibility. Also I love dogs but not someone else's short white hair flying around the car as I got on The highway. Could this be a Hertz rent a car ??? Anyways I will definitely not rent from this location. I will go out of my way. After I checked the yelp comments I would of been warned. As crazy as lax is and so busy they keep the autos in top shape. Also Avis downtown was limited but I got @ least a Chevy equinox the the prior week and it was nice. ! read more

It was awesome that I was able to pick-up and drop-off the car at the repair shop and enterprise billed the insurance company directly. The only issue I had was that the car was very dirty. Inside looked as if it was wiped down with a rag that hadn't been washed in a month and the windows and side mirrors were incredibly dirty. Also, the car barely had any washer fluid, I had to buy a gallon to fill it up. These shortcomings would not prevent me from using them again, I just hope they take my feedback into consideration. read more

They were great for me. I had to drop my car off at Crash Champions on Kingsbury and Enterprise brought the car to me. Crash Champions coordinates with them so it's pretty seamless. One tip - if you have to pay out of pocket for a rental car after someone crashed into your car, be sure to ask your Insurance company first, e.g Geico. They may have a deal with Enterprise like Geico does. If so, you will get a different phone number to call for Geico customers with a claim number, which results in a much better price. I called without it and when I learned I had a discount, I called back and it was at least $200 less. Again, this is if you had an accident and the other person's is liable but their insurance is not handling the car rental up front. (In this situation I pay up front and my insurance will bill them after and try to get me paid back. Happens when the driver has limited insurance). Good luck. read more

My experience here was great. The staff were very professional, especially Josh. He picked another customer and I up from where we dropped our vehicles off for repair and was pleasant throughout the entire process. I'm so used to rental company employees displaying nonchalant and jaded behavior. I would advise to book ahead of time or have your insurance put in a vehicle request days prior. They hardly had any vehicles available and I was stuck with a Nissan Versa that had minor damage which I absolutely hated. I was advised I could return it the next day and trade it out. I had decided to drive a friends car instead while I wait for my vehicle to be repaired. I returned the Nissan Versa the next day with no issues. Smooth process overall. read more

SEINFELD MOMENT I have literally rented thousands of cars while traveling around the world for 20 years. Today was the first time that I was totally let down by a Rental Car Company. I am just in shock. I had a reservation. Enterprise decided to cancel it because they didn't have any more cars. In fact, the employee told me that I was the 10th person they had cancelled today. If he was trying to make me feel better, he didn't! I was really upset about my car getting canceled and Enterprise putting me in a bad position stranded without a vehicle. The Enterprise employee kept saying to me, "What do you want me to do?" I kept saying, "I want my rental car!" He then said, "I don't have any cars!" I said, "How can you just cancel my reservation?" He said, "I just did!" Do you want to know something funny? I actually went to the Enterprise Website and booked another car at the same location while the above stupid conversation was going on. Again the enterprise employee said, "What do you want me to do?" I said, "Get me my car. I just booked another reservation for the same car at your location!" There was a silence, so I decided to just say, "Why can I still book a car for this very location on the website?" The employee said, "I told my manager to take us down from the website!" At this point I said, "I have a new reservation and I want my car!" I did this because the employee told me that he had canceled my original reservation and that I did not have a reservation anymore. Yes Seinfeld comes to mind. I wanted to say to the guy that you are good at taking the reservation but you are not good at holding on to the car but I truly felt that this person did not deserve my fantastic Jerry Seinfeld comedy moment. For my younger Yelp readers go and search "Seinfeld, rental car" on the internet, so you can see my pain captured on a TV show. The employee then says, "Why don't you just call Hertz!" I was just done with this stupidity. I only choose this location because it was close to my house. The bad part is that every other Enterprise location in the area was closing at 6pm and that is when I was picking up my car. The employee was not very helpful. There was no apology. There was no let's make this right. There was no call from his manager apologizing for the mistake. There was nothing. In this day of customer service I am just shocked at the lack of respect that Enterprise had for my business. An apology goes a long way and I received none of that. I will never come to this location again. I will go out of my way to go somewhere else. i will make sure to tell people to never come here because I do not want any of my friends to have to go through what this location did to me. I have never experienced the feeling of being stranded without a vehicle after having one reserved. The feeling was not good and it just left me in a bind. It is truly sad that I have to write this review for a location that seems to have so many great reviews. In fact, I was expecting to see all ONE STAR reviews here by the way I was treated as a customer. This location provided me with my easiest and most pleasant experience with Enterprise. They called and emailed me a few days before my scheduled rental date to ensure that I had everything in order. I requested a specific car and they gave it to me for no additional cost. I brought my own insurance card with me and they never even tried to sell me their brand of insurance. They had everything in order when I arrived, had the car warmed up, and a guy scraped snow and ice from the windows. My car repair took longer than expected and the insurance company stopped paying for the rental. Enterprise allowed me to keep the car at the discounted rate. They were also flexible about dropping it off at an alternate location after-hours. The guys who worked at Enterprise were all friendly and professional. read more

As a car rental virgin Enterprise was easy, cheap, and fast - just like your first time should be. The day before I was supposed to go out of town, my car broke down, so I was forced to get a rental car the day of my trip. I picked the closest place to my work (great location on Division between several car dealerships and half a block from a bus stop) and they just happened to be running a 1/2 off special for the weekend. My lucky day indeed! I reserved a car online and they immediately called me to make sure I brought proper documentation and how to pay (debit cards=big hassle) which was great since I'd never rented a car before! When I got there the staff was very friendly and in no time I had my car. My only complaint was that my car had a cracked front bumper (from the previous renter). They DID offer to get me another car but I would have had to wait until they went to another Enterprise to get it. Great store, but on the smaller side. I honestly didn't care too much because it was snowy weather and I didn't have to worry about wreaking a brand new car! read more

I have rented cars from Enterprise Rent-A-Car for over 25 years, and this is my favorite site. It is conveniently located next to the Gold Coast Auto Body which is very convenient. In addition when I have rented a car for other reasons they will come and pick me up. The big bonus about this location is they have a large lot right on the premises where they store the cars and large selection to choose from. Other Enterprise locations customers are made to wait while the agent locates a car for them "near by." The cars from the Division Street location are alway well maintained. In addition the staff bend over backwards to help you in anyway they can, always polite and very accommodating. They have made arrangements at other locations not in the area for me which helped to make everything go smoothly. This location of Enterprise Rent-A-Car definitely deserves their five stars. read more

George and Katie took very good care of me these past couple of days after I was in an auto accident and dropped of my car at Gold Coast Auto Body next door to get repaired. Although I showed up last minute to get a car from them (which they did not have) they scrambled and got me one in less than 20 minutes. Unfortunately the car they got me had definitely seen better days and so they both again went completely out of their way to find a replacement car that was so much better, delivered it to my home and drove away in the first one. The location on Northwest Highway in Chicago are great to work with. I needed a 15 passenger van for a trip. I reserved the van in Jan 2015 with the Evanston location and at the last minute they said that they wasn't going to have one available. I called the 800 number & was placed with the Northwest Highway location and a van was reserved. I asked the Evanston location if they could contact the other location to get it sent to the Evanston and was denied. Avoid this location at all cost! I had an unforeseen issue with my car and needed a rental for the day while my car was being maintenanced. I called and arranged for a pick-up and confirmed the time, location, and vehicle details. About an hour later I received a call from this location confirming all the details for the pick up. Great! No. The time of pick up passed by 30 minutes so I started calling this location. No answer. No answer. No answer. Finally I called the national office and it took them a while to get through. They came back to me saying that they were really busy but that my car was reroute. No we are 50 minutes past the pick up time that was confirmed, by them, twice. I call this location again and now, the same person I spoke with who confirmed the details of my reservation who I assume also just lied to the national office told me 1. No there is no vehicle enrout 2. He cannot get the vehicle or any car to me 3. He now has the wrong address and no explanation as to how he could confirm something that was not being done. This is one of the worst customer experiences and dishonest businesses I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Save your time and avoid this location read more

I'm thinking "Hm...how am I going to drop a car off and then find a random place to rent a car without being able to do research on nearby car rental places?" Dear Enterprise, I wanted to remind you that no means no! No I don't want your additional car rental insurance no matter how many times you ask me. Also, you can continue to show me the clip board with the quarter size circle while explaining to me that any damage bigger then that circle will have to be reported to my car insurance and my answer is still NO! I just recently rented a car from this location after dropping my car off at Gold Coast Auto Body for repairs. Enterprise is located right next door, which made the entire process of dropping my car of and getting a rental VERY convenient. I was also in and out of Enterprise within 30 minutes and in an upgraded car then what I was supposed to rent. However, I am only going to guess that the guy helping me makes commission off selling the additional car rental insurance. He most have asked me 15 times after I already told him no. He then proceeded to tell me that the additional fee would be covered by the person who hit me insurances. Which my the way is a total lie! I finally agreed to take the insurance fully knowing that I was going to call and have it removed, which also required me to take the car to any Enterprise location so they could look the car over before I could remove the additional insurance, but at the time if it meant the guy wouldn't ask me one more time then it was worth the hassle. The place was friendly, quick and convenient, but be strong and stern when you tell them you don't want the additional coverage. read more

I will give 0 star if I could. Same story with Anthony M. of the post on 8/8/2016. I booked a cargo van with unlimited miles almost one month before. I was informed one day before the pick-up date that they did not have any cargo van available. I am shocked that they could just tell the customer they ran out of the cargo van without taking any responsibility. The reason I booked the cargo van was because I had to move. I had no idea how to move if my reservation was cancelled. I know I could rent somewhere else, but if I rented anywhere now, the price would be so expensive! So the staffs kept telling me that they were waiting for the response from other branches to see if there were cargo van available, but they were not 100% sure if i could get it. I told the staff I checked the Enterprise website that there were cargo vans available at other location, but it had 50 miles limitation and I needed to pay extra fee for extra miles, and it was unfair since my original reservation had unlimited mileage. They told me that even if there was available cargo van on the website, it didn't mean it was available at all (WHY??? Then if the car was unavailable, why did they even put on the website saying it is available?) I hung up the phone and called directly to other branches where cargo vans were available. They confirmed that they had one cargo van available. I called back to this branch and said there was one available at other branch. They told me that they didn't cooperate with that branch. They told me that "you can negotiate with them about the situation. you have one day to deal with it." It is too ridiculous that I need to deal with all this things one day before my reservation. I have to spend my afternoon calling other branches and customer services to figure out a way to ensure I have a cargo van so I can move tomorrow. It is just too frustrating!! read more

My wife and I worked with the manager, Alonso, and an employee there, Clint, to make arrangements a few times for a rental. We were impacted by dealer recalls so we visited this location quite a few times. Alonso and his team are great. They "picked us up" from the dealer and even swapped us out of a car one time because my wife did not like the rotary dial transmission knob. If we ever need another rental (or know someone looking for one), we will not hesitate to visit this location again. read more

While getting the car and the actual car itself was a relatively okay, the customer service here was absolutely horrible. One of the worst things about it was that he kept saying "I'm actually a really nice guy", which maybe he is - but no matter what he probably should not have been telling the customer (me), that I was rude, aggressive and mean. Which is not something you tell a customer- multiple times. I told him multiple times that I needed to get back to work before lunch ended, but he just kept saying that I was being rude and not finishing my transaction. When I left the parking lot, I confirmed that the car would need to be filled up to 3/4 tank. Which was 3 bars empty. However when the car was brought back with three bars empty, the same self proclaimed "nice" guy said that it was at 5/8 full and charged me extra. Regardless, I will not be showing up here again - Enterprise was decent so maybe I'll try another location. read more

Probably the biggest 2 headache of my life. They lack selection-period-point-blank. I wouldn't say its this particular locations fault but the person who set the reservation didn't tell me I had to bring a ton of paperwork there if I wanted to use my debit card. Grrrrr! Called Enterprise to book rental car. Enterprise phone agent advised that car would be available at this location for pickup within the hour. Took bus to location to pick up car. Upon arrival was informed unapologetically that there were no cars available. Period. They had the reservation, but no car. Isn't this a Seinfeld episode? Bottom line, very poor customer service experience, won't be using this location again. Certainly not without verifying and re-verifying that my car is available for pickup. Be forewarned, having a reservation at Enterprise is apparently not enough... read more
