When I spoke to the representative at corporate to reserve a car, she didn't complete the reservation and the manager, John, didn't have a car available. This is an excellent location!! I rent cars regularly for work so I have had the pleasure of working with the team several times a month for the last seven years. Nina, John and Hasan are always friendly, patient and do their best to help! I have seen them deal with very frazzled or upset customers who come in because they have been in an accident and even with more challenging customers; they do their best to be compassionate and professional. Terry and the cleaning crew are amazing and take great pains to make sure the cars are spotless when the customer gets into it! I've used this location for the last 5 years for business travel. Never any issues always friendly service. But last two times renting cars here the cars have been dirty. They smell of cigarettes. The customer service is terrible. Why bother to call me text me email me about rental and pickup time when you make me wait 30 minutes when I arrive. I guess I'll go back to Hertz. read more

Actually the worst costumer service experience. Received our vehicle from an individual who was not attentive, who was more focused on keeping the rest of the staff busy. Did not adequately answer multiple questions. Then, upon attempting to call the office to get the information we needed, we were put on hold for 20+ minutes twice, with no resolution. I didn't notice my local store closed early and they didn't care to call regarding my reservation, the customer service team told me to shoot over to Countryside and there Dan Was !!!! Rented a car for a week-long out of town road trip. The old Chi-town Cruise Mobile has been ailing and needs work before any more road trips. I reserved online a week in advance, for a full size sedan. Straightforward process. The location called two days before to confirm, leaving a message. I returned the call the next day and requested a pick up at my house. They said to call on the day of the rental about a half hour before the scheduled time. On the day of the rental, I called as requested, 15 minutes later the driver arrives and we head back to the office. However, there is a problem. They do not have any full size cars. Only a Jeep, mini van, SUV or mid-size sedan. I select the mid-size, not too happy about that, but was ready to hit the road. I declined the accident insurance since my own auto policy would cover that. They then offered "roadside" assistance for $4 more a day which I had not heard of from car rental places before. I declined. If the car breaks down, it is on them. Otherwise, staff was very friendly and helpful. At drop-off, they offered a ride back home which I accepted. The price was VERY reasonable, which they adjusted for the downsized vehicle. The car itself, a Nissan Sentra, was exceptionally clean, pristine, with only 7k miles. No issues with that at all. This is a small location so I do understand they have a limited supply and selection of vehicles so be forewarned. I would usually dock a half star for the selection issue, but everything else made up for it, so 5 stars. read more

I had to drop my vehicle off at the body shop this morning and had scheduled a loaner through my insurance company. Unfortunately, they scheduled the rental to be picked up at the Archer Heights location which is quite the drive from Countryside. I honestly thought I would have to Uber it to the Archer Heights location but as luck would have it, I was being helped by a lovely young lady by the name of Dejah Huffman. Dejah was so helpful and kind and immediately did everything she could to rectify the situation. She turned what could have been a real painful ordeal into a very pleasant experience. I noticed her business card had her title as Rental Management Trainee. I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Mrs. Huffman and her excellent customer service skills as well as her supervisor and trainers who have helped her in becoming a very valuable asset to Enterprise Rental Car. read more

Well we placed a reservation for a pick up truck or full size suv 4 days in advance. Get a call the day before we don't have any of your picks in right now but will have it the next morning for you and we will drop it off to your house. The day of no call or nothing. They don't have the car and now they want us to go pick it up from another location. On top of me ordering this because it is a moving day and very important. Talked to Dan Lindin there, very unprofessional hung up on me because they couldn't fix the problem. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE OR ANY OTHER ENTERPRISE. read more

Tried to use Enterprise while my car was being repaired due to an accident. The reservation was confirmed with Enterprise and the insurance company. I showed up on time to get my rental. Enterprise stated that they didn't have the approval from the insurance company. Was told to contact the insurance company and come back. Contacted insurance and they confirmed that they gave Enterprise approval. OMG. Two calls to Enterprise and they suddenly found it. Ok. Then two more calls to me from Enterprise to come by to pick up the car. I could NOT pick it up at 1p as requested by Enterprise. I let them know I could come at 5p. Got there at 5p and oh, we don't have the car you reserved. WTF. What a S-Show. I did get a car, at a higher rate. Why bother to make a reservation? Drop off was also challenging. End of day, and the employees wanted to get out. Didn't get a receipt. Been on hold for 22 minutes so far, and will have to wait longer. Won't use Enterprise again. Never. read more

I've been to this Enterprise twice now and both times I've been pleasantly surprised. In my universe, car rental places are dangerous booby traps where you always end up spending about 3x as much as you expect to. This is because I'm frequently guilted into getting insurance or damage coverage or adding the option to not have to refuel the car or some other thing that's totally a scam. Not here though. Both times I remember extremely friendly employees that actually believe you when you say you have rental car coverage through your own insurance. The entire process was quick and they didn't inspect the car with a fine-tooth comb when we returned it. Definitely a fan of their service. This location though has one bad apple at the moment and that's a red Fiat 500. We were expecting an economy car, Ford Focus or similar. But when they offered us the Fiat, we thought it was so cute and we immediately jumped at the chance to take it. Big mistake. WHAT a crappy car, seriously! It's so small yet it has shit gas mileage (27mpg, COME ON) and absolutely no storage. Definitely not similar to the Ford Focus. We had to put the back seats down to fit all of our luggage and later on we could not give our friend a ride home because of this. Grr! All in all, I'll definitely rent from here again but will heed the Fiat. read more

Trying to beat the Friday traffic on our way to the funeral I showed up half hour early. The manager Zachary informed me, new laws prevent me from renting a vehicle with my card bc its not bank backed. After I left, I called to ask if I could return with my mom. Store manager Dan said "Yes, That the vehicle could be put in her name and I as a driver". My mother was already on the road, turned around and arrived at 130pm. Unbeknownst to us, she already helped my brother up north do the exact same thing before she left town, therefore unable to do the same for me. Zachary suggested her husband, my stepdad come in. His work schedule made him unable to help. My mother left and continued her way back down to Springfield. After another 90 mins my brother in law made it over. Dan informs me that I will still not be able to rent if I don't have a valid credit card. I said "I know that's why you told me to bring in someone else." He says "No, ALL drivers need to have a valid card. You need to be able to rent the car on your own." I ask "What do you mean? If i was able to rent the car on my own, why would I need to come in with someone else like you suggested? Why didn't you say that when I was in here almost 2hrs ago, or even the first time I came in 4hrs ago? Why did you tell me to come back with someone else If no matter what, you're saying I wouldn't have been able to rent the vehicle anyway? Why did you waste my time?" We left. I went to Hertz (2blocks down). Rented an SUV at 3x my reserved enterprise price (they were out of economy cars). HOURS behind schedule, forced to drive during the height of traffic (bc Enterprise managers jerked me around for 4 hrs). I Arrived too late for my hotel reservation to be honored. To say that their unprofessional behavior caused a major headache is an understatement. If its policy to not rent to drivers who do not have a bank backed credit card then why didn't they say that at 1130am? Why jerk me around for hours and waste my time and that of those I brought in during such a difficult time for us. I could have made alternate arrangements elsewhere much sooner. After I got my rental elsewhere I called back to Enterprise to ask the manager what happened. Zachary answered, said he was the manager and could speak on behalf of the store. I asked why told me to come back with some one else if I wasn't going to be allowed to rent anyway. He said "I WAS going to make an exception, but it doesn't matter anymore." I said "Of course it matters. I would like to know why you wasted my time and told me to come back with my stepdad if I couldn't rent anyway?" He repeated it didn't matter bc I wasn't going to get a car. I said "That doesn't answer my question, why did you tell me to come back." He said he deleted my reservation. I repeated "That still doesn't explain why you told me to come back with some one else." He repeated I wasn't going to get a car. I said "yea duh, but you should have told me that when I first showed up at 1130. That still doesn't explain why you told me to come back if I wasn't going to be able to rent a car?" He said it didn't matter bc he heard me cursing in the parking lot when I was driving away. I said "It matters bc I would like to have all the facts when I call corporate" he said "well Im going to be adding you to a do not rent list so you'll never get a rental." I called Corporate Enterprise, filed my complaint and was informed the regional manager would reach out. 7 days later zero response. I called corporate again, told her I filed a complaint last week and she interrupted me to say "And no one has call you back?" I said "That's correct." She passed me to her manager who took the entire complaint again and said she would mark it urgent, manager attn needed. 10 more days passed, No one from corporate contacted me. I called a 3rd time, they asked for my entire complaint again and said corp. does NOT have any kind of policy for handling customer complaints in any timely response. BE VERY AWARE!!!! TAKE PICTURES OF THE CAR BEFORE YOU DRIVE IT OFF THE LOT. We are being accused of causing damage to the hood of the car. Besides the fact that I could not even get a good picture of the dent since it is so minimal, we were not aware that it was even there. I drove that car to work and back while my car was in a body shop and was parking it in the garage. I certainly can't get on top of the hood and damage it even if I wanted to. Now they want us to file with our insurance company? We will be fighting this in court. As much as we can't prove that the dent was there when we picked up the car, they can't prove it that it was not there either. In 30 some years of renting cars this has never happened to us. Okay, this review, is all about decisions not Attitude! I've been using this rental company for a very long time, and YES, they are usually a Five Star Company, including Customer Service & Car Choice, but this time they were polite and did their J-O-B, but that's it!! They did not, 1/consider the Customer's Needs,(I'm a rather heavy type Guy with Bad Airborne Knees) so they give me a Jeep or should it be called CHEAP? I drive a Nissan fully equipped Murrano. 2/My Nissan Dealership was picking up $35.per day for a simple 2day rental,You'd think they would make sure to provide the comfort that THE CUSTOMER IS USE TO DRIVING? 3/ they were aware of all this previous to the rental! So, my conclusion, is that they were more worried about the cost, then their REAL PRODUCT, THE CUSTOMER!! read more

I needed an appropriately sized vehicle for my family, and it had to be clean and the people needed to be decent in character. I could not have asked for more from a rental center. Joe picked me up from the other rental company and had me in a vehicle and home within about 40 minutes. I had a wonderful experience with this Enterprise location. I called Marshall in a panic as I had gotten into a car accident and needed a rental car. He was friendly and efficient and was able to fill my request for the rental car I wanted right away. Cody was able to pick me up at my auto body shop so I didn't have to take a cab to pick up the car - it was greatly appreciated and helped take some stress off the situation. Cody picked me up right away after I called stating I was ready and he was friendly and professional as well. Marshall did a wonderful job finding a car that would fit my budget as well as to find a car I felt comfortable driving. The Team at Enterprise in LaGrange are super accommodating and help get you in and out easily and quickly. The courtesy pickup and drop off rides are very helpful and the staff doesn't make you feel like you are being disruptive. The cars are in good shape and the selection is fine. Only recommendation is to check the cars for residual smoke smell that the air fragrance couldn't cover up during your walk around inspection. Have had a couple that were bad. read more

I needed a car for one week, and with a phone call they were picking me up a hour later. It turns out I needed it for another week so I called and they said just keep it no problem. You don't need to come in or anything. How great is that!!! This place is an example of the best service you can get. I just called to extend for another week, and I got no problem just keep it. And if you want a different car (smaller, or larger) just let us know and you can come change it. Maybe not the cheapest I can get but finally a place that understands and anyone you speak with can help you. So Awesome!! American business service at it's best!!! I love these guys. read more

Be aware of the fine print. A 30 cent toll charge will cost you $17 in fees. If you want to complain, you get to leave a 30 second voicemail and a request to not call multiple times when they don't get back to you. Screw the customer, make as much money as you can and hope people won't take the time to challenge it. This type of practice comes from headquarters, the underpaid people in the office locations have always given good customer service in my limited experience with Enterprise. Nevertheless, I will take my business elsewhere when I need a rental car AND I will ask about administrative fees in advance. Lesson learned. read more

My car was being serviced at a facility down the road. I needed a car to get from point A to points B, C and D for a couple of days. I was quickly picked up and put into a small car with loads of "bells and whistles", which was fun to drive for a couple of days. I didn't look at the charges closely until I brought the car back, and the rental ended up costing more than I had expected. I was surprised and pleased at the top level service provided by the Enterprise Countryside Team. They quickly provided a car to me on very short notice and worked with me on the rental rate due to some difficult circumstances I was in. I was "under the weather" when it was time to return the car and they sent two reps to pick it up from my home. Invoicing was completed online making this transaction very easy to close out. I've always been using National when picking up cars from the airport. This time, however, for a weekend trip, picking up a car close to the house seems more convenient, especially given all the positive reviews here. National and Enterprise are also from the same company. I checked with customer service beforehand that any of my rentals at Enterprise would count as my National membership. I went to the location around my pick up time, there are 3 people waiting and only one person helping the customers, even though there are other people working at the location. I waited for half an hour and there are finally someone to help me. Completely different from my typical national rental experience, the guy was rude and judgmental. I stood by the counter for over 10 minutes for him to process the rental, given I have reserved the car beforehand. When we get to the car, I double checked with him that this will be on my National membership account, not enterprise, because I need this rental days to make it to the next level of membership for the year. He, again, judged me even more, and saying things like there are no difference between Enterprise and National. So I explained to him that I really need this to be on National not Enterprise, and he promised to me to make sure that. Well, I did not see the rental days added onto my account after returning the rental car. I called National customer service, she said because my Enterprise number was entered in the system with this rental, I could only get the credit not the rental day. I have called customer service and filed a formal complaint against this location, because the service at this location is definitely not at par with the rest of National/Enterprise locations. read more

This location was running the weekend special of $9.99 a day (economy). I ended up taking a bus to get to it, but considering the rate vs the one closer to me (39.99 a day), this was the way to go. Staff was helpful and had me in and out within 10 minutes (I have rented from enterprise many times). The next weekend I rented the special for 9.99/ day again (economy). They did not have the car I reserved (disappointed) , so they upgraded me to a convertible Mustang! Beautiful weather, great time!. wife enjoyed the ride.
