He went out of his way to be friendly, helpful, and made sure my husband was happy with the car selection. BEWARE: I can no longer give this place a 5-star review. I found all these unauthorized charges on my credit card. I wrote and left a VM for Brian, the branch manager, and strangely I never heard back. So I called Enterprise Rental and they said Brian no longer works there, and that the charges were toll fees and late penalty fees due to late payment since Brian was gone so we NEVER got sent notices. This is UNACCEPTABLE, as they should have a process in place to account for situations like that so the customer doesn't bear the unauthorized costs. The lady said nothing she could do for us but give us the number to the enterprise toll fees department. I tried to call that number and it was the wrong number. When calling back, another lady answered and said we were given the wrong number earlier as she verified with the other employee. It's been three times that I've called the enterprise toll department to explain that I was willing to pay the toll fees that they already charged without my permission on my card, but NOT the penalty late fee they charged as it is not my fault. They continue to tell me each time "sure, that someone will contact me." But after three attempts in over a month, nobody has contacted me once to resolve this. What they're doing is wrong and I can't even imagine how many customers they're doing this too. If they were going to take it upon themselves anyhow to charge my credit card without notice or my permission, why would they charge it late?? Just so that they can charge me penalty fees is what it looks like and every other customer out there. I hope Lisa, who formerly commented on my prior positive review sees this to make it right, and I will consider removing this negative review. ----- Update as of 8/14/23: Chris, the manager seen below asks that I write them and I have on 7/28/23, it's now been over two weeks and no one has reached out. At 1200, I was told they no longer have any cars and it was up to me to find one by calling all the surrounding Enterprises. No other assistance was offered. The only reason I rented from Enterprise is because it was being paid for by my insurance. I speak with my insurer and they reserve a car for me. I was told a representative from Enterprise would give me a call and finalize the details. I received a call to collect information. I was asked if I'd be holding the reservation with a credit or debit card, I let her know debit was my preferred method. She proceeded to ask for my driver's license number and expiration date to "verify me as a renter," since I opted for debit rather than credit. She laughed and made jokes about how Arizona's license's don't expire until you're 65. (She acknowledged the out of state license.) I take my personal vehicle to be repaired and go to enterprise. I show up, the doors are locked, there's a sign explaining their curbside pickup policy. I proceeded to stand outside in for about 3-5 minutes before a guy greets me. I let him know I have a reservation and I handed him my license and debit card. He didn't look my reservation up before he asked, "Do you have a credit card?" I politely told him that I didn't, but the young woman I spoke with the day before said I would be okay. He goes inside, a different young man comes out with my cards and asks the same question. I told him I have one, but I didn't bring it because I was told I didn't need it. This is when he handed my cards back and simply said, "then you can't rent with us." I tried to re-explain the situation how I'm a customer of an insurance agency who made the reservation and would be footing the bill. He told me it was nothing he could do, but let him know if I had anymore questions and went back inside. I called my agent who proceeded to speak with the manager on the phone for about a half hour. I left and made arrangements to get my credit card. At this time it was about 11:40, at 11:45 I called to let them know I still wanted the car, I just needed a minute to get the credit card. I hadn't even been gone five minutes and they gave my car away to another customer. I was told their lot was empty and they couldn't help me at all now because they didn't have any cars. At this point, I'm fuming! I call customer service to let them know the issues I was having and was told higher management would reach out to me, they made another reservation for the following day at noon. I am trying to figure out how I will get home from work and back to work the next day. Upon arrival to work, keeping in mind the issues I had the day before, I called the location at 8am to confirm my noon reservation. I was told, "come now, if you wait we won't have any cars." I'm confused about the point of even making a reservation, I couldn't figure out if there is a lack of vehicles or poor scheduling/overbooking on Enterprise's part. Two days later, I have a blow out on the expressway on my way home from work. I pull over on the shoulder of the expressway and exit where I can safely make a call. My phone was on low battery, I make a call to enterprise and let them know the situation. They said roadside could take up to two hours. Who wants to sit on the side of the expressway for two hours after a full day of work? No one. AAA f pulls up, and they were great. Polite, quick, gave me some safety tips before I got it changed. I was told don't drive over 50 mph or on the highway. Once I got home I called and said I needed to exchange my vehicle. They tell me to exchange at the same location, which was 25 miles from where I live. I let them know I was advised for safety reasons to not highway drive. They told me it was 6 o'clock, and because of COVID all locations close at 5pm. I'd have to wait until 8am. My work day started at 6:30am. I woke up, delayed my work and called roadside again to schedule an exchange, I was told not a problem and scheduled my reservation. I show up at the location at 850 N State & let them know I was there for an exchange and the roadside assistance made the reservation. The lady went inside and came out quickly saying, they had no reservations and don't store rental vehicles at this location. I asked what they could do for me, she said nothing, that she'd checked the three locations near here and none of them had cars. She told me to turn my car around exit their parking garage. At this point I'm livid, not because I had to take the streets about 25 miles to work since I was to avoid the highways to ensure my safety and the safety of the rental vehicle, but because of the lack of communication/inconsistencies in information I was receiving. I call the location that I rented my car from and he told me he could exchange. I let him know I was already late for work so they'll have to travel to me. I had the second rental for 24 hours. I was still charged over $100. I just let it go. I was hoping someone would call me as promised, but still nothing. Please don't rent from Enterprise, it's a nightmare. You can find better prices and customer service elsewhere. Save yourself. read more

I pay $1200-1500 a month on a rental. I was told they would not give me the car that I requested. However, the Enterprise on Southwest Highway goes out of their way to make sure I get the car I want. This location has Terrible customer service. I will continue to do business with the Southwest Highway location only. read more

Would never rent a car from this place again. They charged my credit card for a week when I only rented the car for a day. I was told I would get a refund in 5 days, that I never got. When I called again they said it would be another 5 days because the accounting person was on vacation. When I didn't get it after another 2 weeks and called they said it would be another few days because it was the busy season for refunds. What??? I got so mad at the manager that he got mad at me. This place has bad customer service all the way around and they overcharge you on top of it. read more

I rented a truck from Enterprise for three days because my car was in the shop being fixed. They have good customer service and the agent is very helpful and polite. When I returned the car they called me to let me know that they got the car and they are going to refund me my deposit. I recommend this location to anyone. read more

Anyone know how I can this office to answer their phone for a pick-up? I get put in a lup for an exceeding long time and tried several times. I called the main office but they said whether they call or I call it is the same thing. Not sure how to solve this problem, but if I was stuck at a car repair place and needed a ride, I am pretty sure I would have been stranded there by now. I was very impressed that I was able to get the vehicle I needed at a very short notice. I was a walk -in customer needing a vehicle at that moment. Customer service was fast, informative and professional! Dan went above and beyond to ensure I had a safe, economical and suitable vehicle for my commute. The vehicle was clean, gas was low but no big deal, there were gas stations nearby. Bonus~ I received a courtesy call afterwards to give input on my experience, I was furthermore impressed and pleased to announce that I was very satisfied. Garbage service!!!! I waited two hours just to get a rental when there wasn't even many customers. The cars are supposively washed but they just wet the car and the dirt on the exterior was still visible. In addition they changed their policy to where people under 25 have to pay a fee because of the age. After those issues they still continue to sell their insurance and they don't even mention that you can use your own insurance until you ask them. My dad gets in to drive off and the tank is almost empty. This is a terrible company that lacks time efficiency, adds ridiculous policies, and rents their cars in poor condition. It was 2009 with about 2k miles on it and the alignment was off! He would take his hand of the wheel and we would glide left into the other lane in no time. Outstanding experience renting from Enterprise, specifically the Oak Lawn branch on 95th & Harlem! I travel (fly) quite a bit for work, and find myself renting from various companies, all over the states. I try to book through Enterprise wherever I am, likely because of the top notch service I'm used to getting from my local office (95th & Harlem). Great attitudes across the board, this team really does take care of the customer. Uncommon to most places, these guys don't just stick you in a car ... they tell you what's available on the lot, and ask for your preference. Handshakes and smiles all around, they are aways polite and helpful to those in need of a car. I highly recommend renting from this branch, and if you're new to it, ask for Mike B., he'll take care of you! read more

Very happy with Enterprise...had to rent a car through my insurance carrier out of necessity after my 2013 Wrangler got rear ended by a dimwit. All in all, everything went smooth from the time I got the car to the time I turned it in a week latter. Before going to this particular Enterprise location, I spent my day getting my reservation canceled by another Enterprise and running to several locations and companies in an Uber (spending time and money), trying to get a vehicle. I kept being told there were vehicles available but they were really not. Finally another location called Oak Lawn and they got me in-and-out and on the road in no time. The service was great! Enterprise deceived me, and left me stranded! I have never experienced such poor customer service and lack of coordination within a company before. I contacted enterprise, I guess the main number for reservations (1-855-266-9289), on Thursday 10/9 to reserve a car for two days starting the following week. I asked if they offered shuttle service because I would be leaving my car to be repaired and had no way to get to the rental facility. I was told by the customer service rep that they did, she said that she would enter a note on the reservation and someone would call to confirm the reservation that day, I could confirm shuttle service. I completed the reservation. Thursday came and went, no call. I called the facility on Monday morning and was on hold of and on for and hour and a half-never spoke with anyone. I called the main number again and spoke with Rainey, who was very nice and transferred me to the wrong enterprise facility; I spoke with their rep, George, who told me that my reservation was at the wrong facility and to call the specific facility where I planned to rent from. At this point, I've dropped off my car and am technically stranded. He told me that the number he had for the other facility is the same one that I had been using so just try and keep calling. I called the main line again and spoke with someone, Natalie-I think- who then transferred me to the correct facility (funny how there's no wait when they transfer, but I get no answer when I try to call directly), Someone named Daniel answers the phone. I confirm that I am speaking with someone at the correct location and they have my reservation-George forwarded the reservation. However, upon notifying Daniel about the issue, I was told that they don't offer shuttle service. So now I'm stranded and calling an Uber. Thanks for nothing, Enterprise. read more

I was very impress and happy with the enterprise rent-a-car location in Oak Lawn. They were able to save our road trip when Hertz lied to us about having our SUV rental in place for our trip. Enterprise was able to book us an SUV within in 10 mins and had the car ready for pick up within in minutes of us booking the new request. This is the second time I rented a car from them and they have been great. This time they gave me a Chrysler 2000 which Andy had cleaned for me and had me on my way as soon as possible. I was waiting for my car to be repaired, they picked me up quickly from the body shop by a very cordial driver and left my rental open ended. As much as I do not enjoy renting a vehicle because its not my own. Enterprise is the place to go. The staff there are great. Professional and friendly. Very good customer service which is a plus for me because you don't see a lot of that anymore. Their prices are reasonable. I don't go anywhere but Enterprise. My only complaint with Enterprise is that I wish there was a better system in place for those people who have an IPass. Don't think its really fair to charge what you do for an IPass when renting; when I myself or other customers have an IPass on file with the toll road. I either always forget to take my IPass out of my own vehicle while my own car in the shop and/or to hard to remove from the vehicle. It would be nice if somehow the customers IPass can be linked to the rental car for that short period of time. Hoping the next time I am having to rent a car that there will be a new policy in place for that. Other than that, keep up the good work. read more

I never have trouble with this place. And everyone has been nice and jokes around. One time they came out and inspected the car when i brought it back and found something was wrong that I question. The inspector went right to a spot on the car underneath and said what about this? Like she knew it was there so now I am a little more proactive about inspecting the vehicle. Normally Enterprise is my go to rental location when I need a car. Not anymore!! My recent experience left a horrible impression...KIM THE MANAGER was rude and abrasive. We were not given full information when reserving the vehicle regarding needing a utility bill when using a debit card or that even if I had one with me my daughter, who just came back into country, after 2 years would need one. As we went back and forth with the young man who was helping us and apologetic, Kim jumped in with I cannot release a car and have your daughter drive if she is not on it...we questioned that and she was on a roll. Ending with me saying to my daughter we could go somewhere else. KIM JUMPED RIGHT IN AND SAID HERTZ WAS DOWN THE STREET. Having worked and taught customer service I was surprised at her attitude. CLEARLY SHE SHOULD NOT DEAL WITH PEOPLE... But this bad start to a Saturday morning ended very well AT HERTZ 95th and Ridgeland. They were awesome! read more

I rented a car from here for a week and imagine my surprise when inspecting the vehicle and seeing the carpeting on the driver's side floor right where your feet are was torn up and big fluffy shreds of it protruding from the big hole in it! When I questioned this, the customer service girl said, "It's been reported." I asked if there was a different car and she said 'No.' I then observed multiple stains on all the seats of the vehicle and showed her to which Ms. I DO NOT CARE stated, "Yeah, stains are hard to get out with these kind of seats.". Ugh, and since I had no time to rent somewhere else I took the car. The good news is that when I returned it, the Manager, I believe, was wonderful! Very consumer-friendly person and didn't charge me for the 40 minutes I was late returning it, which I guess is their policy---which is unbelievable because I rent cars a lot for business and have never been charged for returning up to an hour late. But be that as it may, I was very happy with his attitude and great customer service. Will I rent here again, NO.
