It clearly states on the website that you can rent a car with a debit card if you have comprehensive insurance. We showed up for our rental booking and they denied us renting our car simply because we have a debit card. Not everybody likes to go into credit card debt in this country. On the literal booking email that they sent it clearly states that you can rent a car with a debit card as long as you have comprehensive insurance when we try to show them this they wouldn't even have a conversation about it even though we do have the insurance that is required to rent using a debit card. I would never recommend this place. They made us buy a return flight and then told us oh if you buy it under 24 hours before the booking it doesn't count then why the hell did they make us buy a return flight? We wasted 300$ on a return flight to be told it still wasn't good enough AFTER we booked a flight we don't need. We have the frontier flight pass we don't need to book our return flights until 24 hours before and they are basically free that's why we bought the pass and also why we didn't have a return flight. never coming here again. I will be using Turo from now on. They let you do a debit card, no hidden fees, and no weird polices that are undisclosed. I would also like to add that the customer service representatives were extremely rude and hostile. Whoever was working on July 1 at 1:56 PM seriously needs to be addressed for their behavior and the way that they talk to paying customers. Update so we tried to go to the other enterprise that wasn't at the airport and they are saying that you need a utility bill to use your debit card for a booking. (Even though i have extensively reviewed their policies and it never said that. ) Why would I have a utility bill in a state that I don't live in? Book ahead, skip the counter and the line, and go right to your car! That's always your best bet to be honest. I'll never understand why anyone would want to start a rental at the counter these days with apps and online booking so readily available. My Enterprise experience picking up and dropping off was great, and the folks assisting in both instances was good. The car was rather ordinary to be honest and was a bit more road weary than I would have liked. Finally as mentioned by other travelers, the ride to the terminals is a little bit longer than at other airports. Keep that in mind if dropping up a car and heading to airport. read more

Enterprise is a joke. The way they do their security deposit is BS. And it's best if you DON'T make a reservation online cause you will pay in person aswell when you pickup the car. They charged me $300 online and another $300 in person. And it's not listed online either. And if you want to extend the reservation, you can't. You have to put another security deposit and they will NOT transfer security deposits. And you have to wait 3-5 days for the deposit to be sent back to your account. read more

Rented a car in Las Vegas, upon returning it I discovered I had left my phone in the car. I was Frantic and quickly went (ran) back to customer service in the garage....the representative was looking up my rental and an employee walked in with my phone!!! He had discovered it in the glove box (not sure how it got there) where my husband had kept calling my phone and the employee heard it!! He wouldn't take a tip or any $$$ of gratitude. I booked a vehicle with your company a few weeks ago. Confirmation 212-085-7315COUNT. Arrived at DFW airport today and went to the enterprise counter. They told me my drivers license would not scan. They tried it a few times and finally called a manager. The manager took my license into a back room. After a few minutes to return and he said sorry won't scan. I can't rent you a car. He said it's possibly an issue with their scanner. I went next-door to national and it scanned just fine. I went to Alamo and scan just fine. I went to thrifty it scan just fine. The people at the counter were very nice but the manager didn't seem to care one way or the other if he rented me a car or not. Luckily, I was able to find another vehicle from one of your competitors. When I asked the manager if there was another way to verify my license, he said he would have to contact his district manager, and they were out of the office. It would take a few days to verify. Ridiculous! He also asked if I had previously rented from enterprise. I told him yes, and showed him a receipt I had via email. He said he couldn't find that previous rental in a system and he couldn't help me. read more

Enterprise does it again I'm traveling during the Microsoft outage that's leaving everyone delayed, angry, and tired. I had the amazing Jordan taking care of me at the front counter. My first indication this was going to go smooth is when i asked him how he's doing, he replied "I'm amazing". Now usually that's my answer when asked how I'm doing and it's soooo nice to be met with the same enthusiasm and excitement for life. He quickly got my reservation checked out and out the door. Jordan is a strong asset to their team and THE PERSON YOU WANT when stepping up to a rental counter. WOW high fives Jordan! Josh was our main man who put us in the car outside. This is holding up as the best auto rental company, and not just in this miserably outdated airport. Herewith a couple of suggestions for how to get a better car. First join their silly club or whatever they call it, use the app throughout the process, precheck your rental and go to the computer kiosk to check in. Then once in line outside for an attendant to help you select your car, look for one that you can establish eye contact, usually younger, some kind of rapport unspoken of course. If the one you're about to line up with is a dud, invite the person behind you to go ahead. When your kinda guy shows up go with easy informality and then say you don't really care what kinda car it is, just something with less than 10k miles. If you choose right your helper will know which cars meet your needs. I have to shout out for Kevin (Enterprise Station Manager) and Jay at the Oakland Airport in Oakland, California. They were so helpful to me. I rented a car from Southern California and arranged to return to the Oakland Airport; however, I inadvertently put the return for Oakland County International Airport in Michigan. Yes, there is one. A warning to those that make reservations on line. Check the exact locations. Kevin and Jay helped correct and eliminate a $915 drop off charge (which showed up with the wrong drop off location in Michigan) with the correction of the drop off location and no drop off charge. They listened and heard me and was so helpful. I had spent hours on the phone with Enterprise Customer Service and they couldn't fix it. Typically, Yelp reviews of dessert places average about 4.8 stars, while reviews for services like rental cars are much lower, because people only notice what goes wrong. Which is often not nothing. I've got to be fair though in saying that I had the smoothest rental car experience here I've had in a while. You do have to allow for time for a rental car shuttle from Dallas's sprawling airport, but when I arrived, I was checked in with reasonable speed and welcomed. I got specific and repeated instructions with how to return the car, which is apparently a bit tricky. The vehicle itself was one I wouldn't usually select as I picked an SUV and got a Jeep but didn't end up doing any off-road driving as I might have thought. However, it was in good condition and I was surprised that the gas mileage wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Returning was easy, my process was largely automated but again I got a quick in-person greeting. The rental car facility was large and looked recently renovated, possessing plenty of services for those that needed to wait. I, however, wasted very little time, and the design of this airport puts the rental car facility at the other side of where a lot of the traffic is coming in, meaning I experienced virtually no traffic on the way out or in. On my previous trip to Dallas, I was blown away by the cost of rentals, but this was apparently due to the solar eclipse coming through at the time. Upon my return, the price was not bad. I made several mistake during my trip to the Dallas area. One was riding up on the curb and bursting a front tire on rental day 2/5. Enterprise covered the fee for replacing the tire upwards of $100, which must be how much it costs now. Enterprise is the last word in car rentals. Zero stars if I could. Although I had confirmed my reservation two times, when we went to get the vehicle it wasn't there. They had nothing! This also happened to my niece. We were all going to a wedding and the vehicle they rented wasn't available either. Nor was any substitute. So they left eight of us stranded with a no way to get to the wedding. I would never deal with Enterprise Rent-A-Car ever again. And, as a sidenote, the staff in both locations were uncaring and had zero customer service. Amendment: I see Enterprise has responded to my review. I will not reach out to them, because what can they do for me? All they can do is apologize. And that doesn't really help me. I rented a car this morning from the Lewisville store on I35E near 121. I needed the car for about a week. The class of vehicle I requested was not available at that time but Pete Wurtz set me up with an alternative that was smaller but seemed fine. After driving the car for a bit, I realized I needed a larger vehicle with a smoother ride. I went back to the store about an hour later to make a change, if that was even possible. As it turns out, Pete was not available but Victor ("the guy with a bun") found a VW Taos that had just been returned and was available to rent. This was a much better car for me. Victor made the change for me within minutes. Both of these gentlemen were great to deal with. With Pete, I was a guy renting a car but with Victor, I was a guy with a problem. Both transactions were positive experiences. I left with an appreciation of how great Enterprise people are to work with both individually and collectively. Update: I just returned the car at the end of the term. Zack checked me in. Again, everything was perfect, easy and fast. I recommend Enterprise! read more

We had a great experience with Enterprise. Got on a shuttle from the airport that brings you here. Used the self check-in kiosk, which was straightforward and quick. Shortly after we completed the check-in process an employee calls out our last name and walks us to our car. Max was super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. As we were walking to our car, other employees also offered to help us with our luggage. We thought that was so kind of them. Customer service here is awesome. Check in might have been the fastest I've ever experienced. One thing I do hate is that they didn't have compacts or economy vehicles although, that IS what I booked. They always act like you're getting a free upgrade when really it's a down grade cuz you're spending more on gas. Gonna have to contest the price from now on. Aside from that, make SURE if you're leaving the area aka the state you tell em cuz there's plenty of Toll roads in OK. Stuck between 2 or 3 stars. Car was filthy and smelled bad. Maybe someone left the windows down for a month and let it get rained on, then they rolled up the windows and just let the mold and mildew smell soak into the seats. I was attending some training and had to give other people a ride, I was embarrassed to have people get into the car. I should have taken pictures of the center console area how it hasn't been whipped down in months. There was a couple issues with my rental. But the girl behind the desk was 100% a good employee, professional and courteous. She's the only reason I bumped it up to 3 stars. The most accommodating Enterprise I've been at! There was a shortage of car rentals during my visit and the employees were running back and forth to get cars cleaned quickly for other waiting customers. It was a very hot day and the staff offered us drinks (water, soda, energy drinks) while we waited. It was a kind gesture I did not expect but was well appreciated. The cars offered were newer models (2019+) and in great condition and I was offered a convertible at no additional cost due to the lack of available rentals. I'd definitely be back here for car rentals when I'm visiting DFW. *bonus points for the location because the airport offers a bus that takes you directly to the car rental area, making it easy to land and go to your destination read more

This location totally dropped the ball on us! We arrived late due to an airline delay, but I called ahead to make sure someone was gonna be there to help us. I was assured that there will be someone waiting for us when we arrived. Needless to say, no one was there. We were directed to National and told they are partners and they would have our rental. Nope! We were traveling with 7 people and needed a large SUV, their "partner" didn't have one available, but worst of all, they didn't offer any assistance to finding us a rental. This is not how a business should operate. Leaving your customer stranded in the middle of the night with young kids and not offering assistance when you screwed up is horrible service. If it were my business, I would at least offer to call and pay for an Uber and bring the rental the next day. read more

Today, June 18th I returned a rental car. I realize no more than a few minutes after walking away from the return area and into the building that I had left my Sony A7iii camera in the passenger side of the vehicle. I hadn't even made it to the elevator before I turned right back around to retrieve it. I walked right back over to the attendant that retrieved the car fro me (an older African American gentleman) and he told me in order to get assistance with retrieving my camera I would need to go downstairs to customer service. This all happened within a few minutes. It took some time for me to get assistance. I was told by the assistant branch manager Andruw that my camera was not in the vehicle. My children stated they did see me place my camera on the passenger seat. I am left to believe that an employee that handled the vehicle within those few minutes has my camera. All doors were closed and the windows are heavily tinted. I am completely heart broken. The camera's memory card contains the last photographs of my late grandmother before she passed just days ago. I need the photos for her obituary. I'm very disappointed in my experience with this Enterprise location. There is a lack of integrity, compassion, and professionalism. UPDATE: Don't be fooled by the damage control. Their response is a generic message and your email is not going to get a response and issue will not be resolved. read more

The company does not have the same policies at all locations and they don't disclose policies during booking. I had 2 one way rentals to go from home to the airport and then back a week later. No problem leaving, but the airport location has different policies, including requiring a credit card vs the debit I used the first time and charged an extra 100 deposit. Not having another card with 400 over the cost of the rental ment I was now stranded at the airport an hour and a half away from home. read more

I reserved a car at the DFW Enterprise location 4 weeks in advance. I called at least twice to talk with someone about the process and was reassured that as long as I have my return flight itinerary I could book the reservation at the counter and pay with my debit card. However, when I got to the counter, lugging around two toddlers and car seats, I was told that because I live within a 200 mile radius of that rental location that they couldn't go through with my booking unless I paid with a credit card. Sounds like they either don't have their processes lined up and Definitely don't have enough communication around that because I read all the fine print. Been trying to get ahold of a rep in the office/sales for hours now... phone doesn't pick up, and no other way to talk to a local enterprise rep at DFW yet if you forget one thing on their list of requirements you're reservation will be terminated is it so hard to add an email like others do? I know for fact each location has different rules they get one star because of lack of communication, not answering, general informations UNABLE TO ASSIST because it's varies by location and yet I can't get ahold of them! I will update if I ever actually get through but highly unlikely Updated: I totally understand why they were unable to answer calls they run all over rental car station trying to get cars out to their customers.. they also are easy to work with NOTE always have a major credit card for rentals outside your home state and you can also do no oil check in and get in and out and don't have to wait in a 2 mile line. I wish I could give 0 stars. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. I see another customer around the same time period that I had my rental in the same area, DFW, also received the same "hail damage" runaround that I am still dealing with (Sept/Oct 2023). Enterprise is trying to charge me an outrageous amount of almost $3k for "significant hail damage" when the car didn't see even a speck of hail during the time I had it and I've provided ample evidence as proof to support my claims. Plus, the damage report I received only claimed there was damage to the hood but then I received damage photos of a car covered in dents. But you can't even tell what car it is because they have cropped the license plate out of all the damage photos - those damages could be on any similar make/model car!
