After my experience with this branch, I will never EVER be giving my money to Enterprise again. I reserved a car (Toyota Corolla size) on June 7th for a one way trip to New Braunfels because I was planning on moving. I got a confirmation email with all of the correct details. The night before my reservation I realize I have a few more things to move than I anticipated so I check to see if there are any bigger cars available. The website prompts me to upgrade to a midsize SUV for $30 more. Perfect, I'll take it. I change the reservation and not even 30 mins later I get a call from the branch manager (Logan I think was his name) where he tells me they don't have the SUV I upgraded to. Not only that, but they don't have the original car I reserved either. The only car they have is a smaller economy class car. I explain how that won't work for my trip and he offers no help at all, just gives me the phone number for another enterprise branch who "might" have the car and hangs up. I call the other branch and they are already closed for the day. Mind you, my reservation is set for the next morning at 8am so I am freaking out. I call the national enterprise number and the agent says he is going to put in a priority vehicle request for the area manager, and that they will call me the next morning to let me know where I can pick up the car. Well the next morning rolls around and of course I get no call. So I call the national number back and the agent says the only thing she can do is put in another request, but has no way to follow up and see if the request was filled. I asked what I can do because at this point I'm supposed to have received the keys to my car 30 minutes ago. She said to call back the branch I made my reservation with to see if they have any updates. I call back, a woman answers and when I explain my situation to her, she says "Well we always overbook, just like an airline or hotel does and we just hope people won't show up". I explain that when airlines or hotels aren't able to fill a reservation, they provide alternatives or support to make sure the customer is taken care of. She has nothing to say to this and I get transferred back to the branch manager. I ask him if there are any updates with my car and again he says no and offers no assistance. Instead, he tells me I have to call every enterprise until I find the vehicle. At this point I am getting heated, because why is it MY responsibility to find a vehicle that I RESERVED with YOU? He gets a very bad attitude at this point but finally agrees to call around for me. After about 20 minutes or so (I have no idea if he was actually calling during this time or just pretending) he informs me that he has called every enterprise in the city and there are absolutely no cars available. I ask what now, because I'm supposed to be on the road by this point. He has no answer for me and continues to have a horrible attitude. I asked him for his name, he tells me (Logan I think). I ask for his last name and he REFUSES to give it to me! ("It's just Logan" he said). Long story short, I didn't make it out of El Paso that day. I also dealt with horrendous customer service later throughout the day on the national line. I will never ever be giving my money to Enterprise after this. What is the point of a reservation if the thing you reserved could or could not be available. Also no where in the confirmation email does it say "your vehicle may not be available on the date you reserved". Just bad planning and management all around. Plus the employees will treat you like you're stupid and a nuisance for expecting the vehicle that you RESERVED to be available. I'm just lucky I am a local and had other transportation/accommodations while sorting this out. I can't imagine flying in or traveling from out of town and dealing with this!! 0 STARS read more

I am visiting El Paso from Las Vegas, I rented a car at enterprise in Las Vegas, no problem, it was great, when I booked another car from El Paso enterprise to go back home, it was HORRIBLE, I was lost, i didn't know how to get there, security told me to drive up to the second floor, so we did, Bernard from enterprise,THE BRANCH MANAGER, btw No name tag, no title, no badge number, was upset because we couldn't be up there, mind you we are already getting a fine for the "mistake". my husband was at the booth and called me to move the truck, as I was getting in the driver side, Bernard said I wont help you until you move the car, my husband try to explain and told him to calm down, that his wife is moving the car, he said he was verbally abused, and he doesn't want my business, kicked us out and I told him we have a reservation already, he didn't care, didn't want to give me his badge number and acted really unprofessional, and acted like we were not talking to him, he gave us his back. This is the branch manager!!!! We are from out of town, lost, and we got NO welcome, NO help, he was really RUDE, I would never hire anyone like this in my business, I WILL NEVER EVER SHOP AT INTERPRICE OR RECOMMEND ANYONE!! I had a terrible experience with Enterprise on Airway. I spoke to 3 different people and all 3 provided the worst customer service. When I returned the rental car, they had me standing out in the sun for about 5 minutes because they don't want anyone inside their office because of COVID. Today, I get a call from them telling me I will get charged $150 that my insurance will not pay. I explained to them that neither I nor my insurance should be responsible for paying the extra fees since they were closed all weekend and I tried calling different Enterprise numbers listed on their website but they were closed and I was told to drop off vehicle at the same location. The manager, Jesse Rodriguez, was very rude and told me (more like yelled) I should have googled. Farmers Insurance is covering the cost, which is unfair, but Jesse refused to work with me or the adjuster. Very disappointing! I own an insurance agency and I will never do business with them again. read more

The rental prices are far better than at the airport. They don't load you with fees and the staff is very friendly and professional. I really appreciate that they give you a ride to the airport when you return your rental. They get you in and out very quickly whether your are picking up your car or returning it. Last time I cut it a little short between returning it and getting back to the airport to catch my flight. They had me out and at the airport in no time. Their cars are nice but my last rental had disgusting stains on the front passenger and rear seats. I told the manager and he immediately told his guy to put in on the list for a detail so they take care of business. I have literally rented from all the rental companies over the years. I will stay with Enterprise as the others just don't stack up. read more

My parents rented 2 premium SUVs from the airport location for local transportation of my brothers wedding party yesterday. They returned the vehicles today and accidentally left wedding gifts & the wedding money box with just over 4 Grand in the back. The gentleman at check in was going to review mileage, gas and directed us to another area. We went to the other counter and waited for someone. We were there for almost an hour in total and nobody reviewing the vehicle in that time told us about the items they found. Instead they called 10 minutes after we left, to say we left some items behind. We returned to pick up three gifts and an EMPTY money box. When my sister in law told them that the box was empty, they had no explanation. Nor did the manager have any urgency to investigate anything. We had to file a police report. We've been renting from enterprise for about 10 years in many different locations. We have never experienced such lack of service or dishonesty. After filing a complaint with customer service all they can do is wait till Monday 3/4/19 to check video. Even if evidence is found, the cash and cards will be long gone. Very shady people working here, look elsewhere. Pass this info on, rent from other rental agencies. National is part of enterprise. Extremely disappointed in enterprise and even more disappointed in the poor management they chose to work there. read more

I have rented from this location several times the staff is courteous and service is quick. My only complaint is that the last two times the cars I have received have been filthy especially the one I picked up today. I pointed it out to the rep and he said he saw it cleaned. When I got home I took a wet rag with dish soap and cleaned the car out. It was so bad the steering wheel was sticky and there was dried ketchup on the door handles it was gross! There was no way I could have continued to drive the car in that condition. read more

We had trouble with the location by Cabo Joe's off I10, Gateway Blvd E who tried to scam us twice (raised our price from $40 to $100 after we already reserved the weekend special.) so we called corporate and asked for a different location. Thank god we did! Andrea, Carla, Liz, Felipe, Cesar, they're all awesome! Gave us the price we were promised and are using them every weekend now. We didn't like the smell in our first car, no worries, switched vehicles no problem. Shuttle to location from our hotel was unavailable, no worries, they came and picked us up. We recently made a reservation with Enterprise to pick up a car at the El Paso, TX airport and return it to the airport in Austin, TX. Upon arrival in El Paso I had my wife walk over to the Enterprise desk that was located just across from the baggage claim area to get our car while I retrieved our luggage from the carousel. It only took me a couple of minutes to pick up our luggage and by the time I walked over to the Enterprise counter my wife already had the keys to our rental. The Enterprise representative was very polite and efficient. She made our rental experience with Enterprise a positive one. The person working out in the lot did a good job finding our car and making sure that everything was OK before we departed the facility. This is why we continue to rent from Enterprise and will continue to use their services in our future travels. read more

I have rented at this location at least a dozen times over the last 4 years. The only problem I had was this last trip at the beginning of the month which was not a huge deal. I was informed the tank was full, but upon leaving the airport property around midnight, I saw the fuel gauge was just under the 'Full' indicator. After I drove a total of less than 20 miles, it took 4.5 gallons to fill it back up. The gentleman that was checking me in wanted to help, but didn't exactly know how to approach it because it was a direct bill through our company's credit card. I'm sure if I would have made a stink about it they would have taken care of it, but the hassle of $8 wasn't worth my time. Other than that I have NEVER had a poor experience with these guys. Perhaps this is because I haven't ever had a real problem that needed fixing like the previous reviewer with a messy van, but these guys have always taken care of me. There's my 2 cents. read more

Rented a car at this location while my car was being repaired as advised by USAA. Picking up the car was fairly easy although the selection of autos was very limited and had to wait while our rental was "washed and cleaned". The rep apologized to my wife and I when we reviewed the van prior to leaving the lot. The rep stated he was sorry for the van not being clean due to the previous renter "apparently had a fiesta of fun" in the van. There were stains and spills on the driver side floor carpet, ashes on the upper steering column, the driver side front tire appeared low, trash and debris inside scattered on the floor. Another safety hazard was the hinged rear ceiling mounted video screen that was taped closed with clear packing tape. Within 24 hours the tape had failed and for two weeks we drove this unit with obscured rear view. Two weeks later I returned the van to the same location. The rep took my paper work and went to check the van. Upon his review I was informed that the van had hair all over the inside and would have to be detailed prior to being rented. He stated as per the contract I would be charged $150 for a detailed cleaning. I told the rep that this was impossible as only my wife and I had used the vehicle. No dogs, animals or other vermin had entered the vehicle during our use. The rep was adamant that I would be charged so we went out to look at the van interior. There was some dog hair on the driver floor mat that was from our shoes that came from our garage and I admitted this to the rep. The rep continued to show me the entire inside and pointing out hairs in the passenger area. The rep continued to argue with me even though I explained that the hairs in the rear passenger area were not from my period of use and that I considered the few hairs on the driver side floor mat to be normal wear and tear from a two week rental. The rep became rude, aggressive and unprofessional as we reviewed the van, waving the rental agreement and stating my credit card was on file and would be charged despite my objections. When I realized that trying to reason with the rep was futile I drove the van to a car wash and vacuumed the entire inside area. I then purchase a lint roller and rolled the entire carpet area until all hair was removed. The unit then was returned to Enterprise. Upon my return the rep was unwilling to review the van and told me to see someone inside the office. The manager was unwilling to admit the rep had overstepped in his approach to charge me $150 for a detail. The manager did admit that the hair on the floor mat was considered normal use, but did not offer an apology or explanation for the rep's attempt to scam me out of $150. At this point the manager said the unit was perfect and I would be taken care of so I could go pick up my repaired car. The office could not figure out how to close me out as the van rental was apparently listed under another name. This close out process took another twenty minutes and I had to ask for my final bill. I was told it takes a while to get a print out of this so I asked for the final amount to be charged to my credit card. The amount was provided and I wrote it down. I have rented many vehicles in my private and business travel all over the nation for the last 40 years. I have never had this experience prior to Enterprise El Paso. This office is really a sad example of a car rental company and reflects very poorly on Enterprise. I felt abused, bullied and insulted after my dealings with this office. In my opinion the attempt to charge me was a ruse and a blatant fabrication. The customer service was terrible and unprofessional. The rep did not take into account the condition of the van when rented to me and treated me not as an individual customer but solely as a violator of the contract, unwilling to use reason, logic and common sense. I spent 1.5 hours and my money to clean up their vehicle. A van with 35557 miles, dirty, worn and unsafe in my opinion. I will never rent from Enterprise again and I will contact their corporate office and USAA to lodge my complaint. Please make sure you are fully aware of the experience I had if you choose to rent from these folks. They are all smiles when you rent but watch your back when you return. read more

I am a loyal Enterprise Rent- A-Car client. I always use them when I travel to Austin. I have used other car rentals before and have been extremely impressed with the service that Enterprise has provided to me when I go to Austin. I had to travel to Midland Texas on business and decided to use Enterprise. I was not happy at all with the car the provided me. I requested an intermediate vehicle and was given a compact car. I had to drive to Midland Texas from El Paso which is a four hour drive and I did not notice that the car did not have cruise control! The representative was very nice and told me that I was going to get a new and fun car. It was not a new car and it was not fun at all. (Especially with the long drive ahead of me). I did not notice it did not have cruise control until on was on my way out of town. I felt misled and at the same time let down. I also had trouble with the car as it pulled to the right. I tried to go to Enterprise in Midland to exchange the car but they did not have any vehicles available. I will be using Enterprise in El Paso one more time and see if this was just one of those times when things don't go right or if this is the type of service El Paso provides. read more

Rented through the Enterprise website. Reserved for 12 pm Saturday. On that day at 10:20 am, in the middle of a 17.5 mile bike ride, I received a call asking what time I planned on coming in. I replied "Between 12 and 12:30". She then told me they closed at 12 pm. I asked why the website would allow a reservation at closing time, but she had no answer. I asked why they had waited until less than 2 hours before pickup to call; she said they had called the day before but left no message. Checking my calls, there was a call with no Caller ID, and NO message. I asked why they hadn't left a message or called earlier this day; she had no answer. I later checked my confirmation email, and saw in smaller print, that this location closed on Saturdays and 12. So why allow a reservation at that time? I had rented here numerous times, just never on a Saturday. Receiving a Confirmation email along with a Reservation Code, I assumed everything was good. What if I had been delayed? This cannot be the first 12 pm Saturday rental to ever come in to this location, so why aren't they more pro-active? I had to have my wife come pick me up in our truck so that I could be sure to make it to Enterprise BEFORE 12 pm. When I arrived, I again stated that this situation was unacceptable, and received no apology, but she said she was upgrading me one class to a Jeep. I didn't need a vehicle that size, since the mpg would be less, but I also didn't want to hear that they didn't have the vehicle I had requested anyways (this has happened before); I took the Jeep. The rental was uneventful. The following week, I received an Enterprise telephone survey. I gave my ratings, which were low. The surveyor asked why the low ratings and I explained. He registered them, and told me I would receive a follow-up soon. It's been 3 weeks with no follow-up. I have since booked with another location, since I have never been contacted by the Airway Blvd location, or by corporate Customer Service. This was not the normal Enterprise experience, but the lack of consideration on the face-to-face level, and the lack of a reasonable explanation spurred this review. read more
