Couldn't have been a smoother experience! I rent with Enterprise pretty frequently and generally always have a great experience. However, I must admit that this has probably been my most easiest and painless Enterprise rental car experience yet! It's mainly due to the fact that it's located in the El Paso airport which is conveniently uncrowded, but the customer service here is excellent as well. I was able to easily navigate to their kiosk right after I landed. It's conveniently located right inside of the airport, so no shuttles or long walks needed. Super easy to find! There were no lines and I was able to walk right up to the counter to check-in. Checking in was a breeze and the associate at the counter was super helpful. When it came time to choose a vehicle, the process was super easy. I chose a Nissan Rogue for my national park excursions, and I had no issues with the vehicle during my trip. Returning the vehicle was a breeze, and Anessa was very warm and welcoming. I mean, if painless could be defined with a rental car experience, THIS would be it. This is why I will forever be loyal to Enterprise. Always great service and overall experiences. Disappointing Experience at Enterprise I had a very frustrating experience at this Enterprise location. First off, the representative Joel kept addressing me as "ma'am" even though I'm a man -- which felt careless and unprofessional. When you walk in to rent a car, it's about the experience. You want to leave with a vehicle you feel comfortable driving -- that's the whole point of renting. When I arrived, Joel and Casey didn't seem interested in helping. While I understand I reserved a specific vehicle, I asked about upgrading. Since they already had my credit information, I believe the cost should be my concern, not theirs. Their response was dismissive, saying it was because of how I booked it. I've rented from Enterprise many times, including one-way rentals, and I've never dealt with this kind of attitude or rigidity. No one offered to show me any vehicles or make sure the car would actually be a good fit for me -- I'm a big guy, and that should be part of the customer service process. Helping customers find the right fit is an opportunity to make a good impression, and maybe even upsell -- instead, I felt ignored. For background - I rent a lot, for a long time. I have had top tier status at one time or another at all the majors. I gave up on Avis (and their affiliates) years ago over a multitude of issues but mostly adding charges for non existent reasons and then making it very difficult to correct errors. I was President's circle @ Hertz and 3 out of 4 rentals would end up being problematic. I settled on Alamo for most rentals because some of their locations are awesome (ONT) while most are average at best (DEN). I booked with Alamo @ ELP and when I got there I was met by a sign on the counter 'go to our partner @ the Enterprise desk'. I got greeted @ the Enterprise desk by another sign, 'proceed to the garage'. Not looking too good here.... but I was absolutely wrong. Joel who greeted me was fantastic. Processed me, upgraded me and did it all very efficiently and with personality. I figured I found the unicorn, the one car rental experience of a lifetime. So.... I tried Enterprise my next trip (SBA) and it was just as good. Wow, 2 in a row! So... I put them to the ultimate test (LAS), where Hertz has screwed up many, many, many times in the past. Enterprise came through with flying colors - was in the car and on the road in under 5 minutes with another upgrade too. It has taken me over 25 years to find THE car rental company - hope it lasts.... Great job Enterprise. read more

Ok .. so as far service with Enterprise never been an issue. Always prompt paperless service from When I get off the plane, go to the counter , and get in my rental. Also very happy with upgrades. But... the 2 stars you get is because some of your employees lack integrity. On my last trip to El Paso, I returned the vehicle and headed over to catch my flight only to realize once I had gone through TSA that I'd left my AirPods on the cup holders close to the transmission gears. I took the chance of coming out of the airport and possibly missing the flight and went back to the Enterprise counter to inform them that I had left my AirPods in the car. In fact the car had not been rented yet and went to check and the AirPods were not there. The manager proceeded to check with lost and found and no sign of the AirPods. The manger told me that they would have to wait for the person that cleaned the car to come back from dropping off another and ask them about the AirPods. I told them I could not wait since I had to go back through TSA to get my flight back to NYC. The manager said they would call me back to let me know about the AirPods but in the meantime asked me to fill out a lost item form which I did. I never got a call back from management regarding status and I had to call back to speak with them. When I spoke with the manager they said they'd ask the person that cleaned the car and said he had not found anything and basically left it at that. To add insult to injury I keep getting automated messages that my item has not been found. Yes they are AirPods and for some that's an item in demand. But to have management just leave it at that, not cool. I could have pressed charges to make a point but I want to think that if you work for a company the last thing you'd do is steal from your clients. So yeah, I will use your service going forward but I'll triple check to not leave anything behind because it seems some of your employees act like third world country persons that will take valuable goods from you if you're not careful. read more

For the past two times, I've needed a rental with Enterprise they either don't have a vehicle or I need to wait two hours in their waiting room until they can get one. I'd understand if I was just walking in with no appointment but each time I reserved a vehicle. I will try my absolute hardest to avoid Enterprise. I will, religiously, bad mouth and avoid Enterprise at all cost. I've had way better experiences with Hertz, Budget, and Avis. This is ridiculous. read more

Our flight was delayed and we arrived at El Paso Airport around 11pm. My original reservation was with another rental car company that told me they would wait for us but was no where to be found. Thankfully we ran into Michael from Enterprise and he went above and beyond for us! He was very understanding and made an exception to help us out. We've rented through Enterprise for several years - always been great! I have picked up cars through this El Paso Airport location three times in the last three months, with another car reserved for the end of July. I will probably cancel that and find a new car rental agency if I cannot get this issue fixed asap. I reserved a Premium SUV through my credit card point system (which I always do and have never had a problem). When we got to the desk to pick it up, they were all out but put us in a mini-van instead. Fine. The difference in price was $711, not sure what this value is in points. I was assured both when I picked up the mini-van, and when I dropped it off a week later, that this credit would be given to me. Now I'm back home and have called my credit card company to solve this. They keep trying to get through to this branch to fix the problem and cannot. I have called myself twice. I get to Enterprise Customer Service, who is always very kind and they call the branch to fix it and can't get through. I was just on hold with the branch for an hour, and the phone just hung up. Customer Service twice said they were sending messages to the branch to call me, and I haven't heard from anyone. This is frustrating because I actually quite like Enterprise. I have used it all over and have always had a positive experience. If I were you, I would think twice about renting here. read more

So I'm pretty disappointed with my experience this time around. They're usually pretty good and friendly, clean cars etc. no complaints. But this time around we rented a SUV and the tires were pretty bad, the steering wheel was hard to steer and there was a weird rattling sound coming from the hood, the lady helping us was not very friendly as well. We ended up going back asking to switch out our vehicle which the guys at the return lot were very friendly and apologetic. But when the same lady went to switch us out she was not apologetic at all. She ended up giving us a vehicle that, to us, was pretty dirty for it being a vehicle that had just been cleaned, crumbs everywhere, dust and dirt on the steering wheel. With covid going around that was very disappointing, we just expected something alittle cleaner. thankfully the local enterprise near by our house was more than happy to clean the vehicle for us, even tho we didn't rent from that location (Dyer)-- excellent customer service, wish I had gotten a Vehicle from that location instead. Really am not trying to pin point every small thing, but I would've thought because of covid, they would've taken extra precautious with how they were cleaning/disinfecting the vehicles, especially since we will be driving this vehicle long distance. read more

Today, my party of 4 traveling from California to Florida got an alert on the car rental that services were needed, and oil change was required. First, that's on Enterprise for not getting this done before we got our rental. We were a little perturbed because what a huge inconvenience to have to stop at an enterprise to get this situation resolved. We got there and explained why we were there, and Renee, the woman who met with us, showed poor customer service. She obviously didn't take the time to read our contract that showed we had walk away insurance...... but anyway, she came over and said there was damage to the bumper, and I said one of the people did a walk around, and she got snotty and said .... were you there for the walk around???? Cause we're gonna need to do an incident report, trying to scare us......I came back and said it doesn't matter cause we got walk away insurance... boom, and then she shut the f#%k up.... but for real, very rude!!!! I flew into El Paso en route to a nearby city. Thus, I was in need of a rental car. I went with Enterprise, since they've taken care of me every time I've rented with them. I made the short walks from baggage claim to the adjacent building where the Enterprise lot sits. After looking at the options available that day, I chose my car and completed the paperwork. Upon returning to the airport two days later, I dropped off the car as the kiosk was opening shop for the day. The checkout was quick and painless. I will start by saying the customer service was fine, but the car was a big disappointment. Was supposed to be intermediate car but was given a compact. The car was filthy and missing a hubcap,as well as tiny. Did not have time to argue as car pickup was on a time crunch. I reserved a truck for an upcoming commitment I had, I made the reservation well in advance, I called at the beginning of the week to make sure all was on track with the truck reservation. I was told they probably would have it available, I explained I needed it confirmed. They stated they would call me today to confirm, no call came in so I called, they then told me they probably would not have the truck. Why do you have the option open to rent a truck if it can't be guaranteed? Why were steps not taken to ensure the truck would be available, especially after I called. PLEASE READ FULL REVIEW FOR THR HAPPY ENDING: Arrived at 1:10 for 1 pm reservation. We were told there were no cars available and 9 people ahead of us. A woman who had been waiting since 10:30 got her car at 1:37. They get you by having you complete the paperwork "so you are in the system". We may be here forever. Very unhappy. It is now 2 pm and we are nowhere near the head of the queue. UPDATE - not long after I posted this a slew of cars arrived, apparently ferried out from the downtown office. Several management types were suddenly on hand and one even pushed my wheelchair out to the car, giving us "reasons" for the problem all the way. On the fly the counter guy told Spouse he could bring the car back empty and we would not be charged. We will see. When I get home I will follow up with their corporate office as requested below. Car BTW is fine except for a slow leak in one front tire. Which turned out to be slit on sidewall and required a new tire. POST TRIP UPDATE - they gave us free tank of gas (let us return it empty) to compensate for the long wait. Then when we returned the car the attendant told us we would not have to pay for the new tire AND, unasked, he gave us a courtesy discount. I am impressed with their customer service. No problem with the customer service overall. I love Enterprise and always request them for my work trips. However, I've rented twice from this location now, and the interiors of the car have been pretty gross. I know the class of car I rent is going to be a basic car but no attention to detail when cleaning. Also, usually I'm asked if a car is okay at Enterprise (not sure if that's standard or not) but here they point to the car and say that's your car. Today it was covered in stickers, dings, and parts falling off? Just a disappointing feel of the cars here. read more

Friendly Staff in the location, I only wish that the reservation line had been more helpful in making sure that my reservation was processed properly. so that I wouldn't have wasted my time trying to pick up a rent a car instead of resting in my hotel room. The young lady who initially attempted to help me at night was very very apologetic for their inability to fulfill my reservation since my reservation since the reservation had not been processed.... And even the next day if staff continued to be apologetic when on a holiday weekend there was nothing they could do because they were booked. Thank you to the multiple members of the El Paso airport enterprise location for dealing with my bad attitude and my being upset during my vacation and for having empathy towards me during my difficult time. But at least I got to see more of El Paso than just passing through.... Enterprise definitely needs to work on their reservation line though because it's very difficult to get through to the corporate reservation line at any time of day... Horrible customer service from Moises the manager. Refused a car change out due to mechanical issues (wind shield wipers) and ride handling. Manager did not even look at me and saying he did NOT need to give me another vehicle since it was not safety critical. I didn't know windshield wipers were not safely critical items. Having a family with 3 kids we did not want to accept a vehicle with the wipers and road handling issues. We were not even offered the option to change our vehicle or even offered a price simply said no and lied he did not have inventory even after talking with corporate 2 hours before hand to arrange and then going to the inside office to say they had inventory. Worst customer service ever. The District Service manager will be hearing from me as this is an unacceptable way to do business. read more

BEWARE and SCARED I booked this reservation through USAA with whom we get a discounted rate. After arriving exactly 15 min later than the assigned picup time (10 AM) the desk not only says that there are no more vehicles, then they go to another agency and get a "Damaged, Dirty" vehicle which smelled of cigarettes and Alcohol telling us that it. On top of that front desk tried to insist that we have extra insurance to the tune of $160.00. When confronted they obviously acted defensive it was only after I called corporate to complain that they became more helpful and I use that term lightly. They corrected the price but insisted that they could do NOTHING about the DIRTY BANGED UP vehicle that we were forced to leave with if we insisted on renting with them. I have usually had a good experience across Enterprise at multiple locations, but on my recent trip to El Paso, I found myself quite annoyed with the guy at the desk. He asked me what brought me to El Paso, and when I cheerfully responded that I was visiting my mother, he seemed uninterested and responded with a grunt while he was filling out paperwork. Then he proceeded to give me the hard sell on insurance and gasoline. If you looked at my past history, you would see I never bought these things the last 10 times I rented a car, so why give me the hard sell now? I had to tell him three times that I didn't want the insurance and twice that I didn't want the gas. Usually Enterprise is better about trusting that the customer knows what they want. I am not sure if El Paso has more of a hard sell philosophy or if it was just this one charmless employee. Anyway, the rest of my experience was good. The people in the lot were friendly and helpful, and the car I got was great and in good condition. Past the front desk, leaving and returning was quick and easy. I will go back to Enterprise again next time I go to El Paso, but I hope that the front desk service can be improved or that I just got unlucky this past time. read more

At this small airport, the service is pretty good. I booked my reservation on their website, and when I asked about the free additional driver with Costco membership, they told normally I have to book through Costco, but they waived the fee for me anyway. Worst experience during my first and last car rental with Enterprise! Upon returning my rental back in January I was charged a damage fee even after making it clear I was not at fault for the damage in question but the manager insisted an investigation had to be conducted and due to company policy charged my credit card extra $250 and also took my insurance information. Days later the same manager contacted me acknowledging that I was in fact not responsible for the damage and processed a credit back to my credit card for the damage fee. To my surprise, months later I receive an invoice from my insurance regarding the same damage claim that was paid out to Enterprise, they went ahead and proceeded with the claim directly through my insurance behind my back. I've been making numerous phones calls and sending e-mails to Enterprise disputing the claim and as of today I cannot get this resolved. Outstanding! The staff here was extra helpful. Although I had reserved a car, it had been given accidentally to someone else. There were ZERO cars at any other airport vendors, but Enterprise went the extra mile. They delivered a car from many miles away, gave me a double car upgrade, a free day, and a 20% discount on top of all of that. Was I delayed? Yes... about 45 minutes. But that was not a big deal. More than the financial remediation, it was the out of this world high-class personal service that mattered most to me. Sooo impressive! ENTERPRISE is the way to go. I have used ONLY Enterprise Rent-A-Car services for close to twenty (20) years and for many years we enjoyed a positive the rental experience both in obtaining quality vehicles and good customer service for pleasure and business reservation and travel. Following a disappointing rental experience at Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN airport and then this most terrible recent experience at the El Paso, TX airport, I vow NEVER to rent from Enterprise again whether for business or pleasure. A reservation was made well in advance and using Concur travel required by my employer. The reservation was made for a standard to intermediate car. Upon arrival the ONLY rental options available to me was a 'monster' Dodge truck with oversized wheels and and a very large Dodge Grand Caravan Van. I voiced concern and expressed my discomfort in driving either of the vehicles. I explained my personal vehicle is a Honda Civic. I was in an unfamiliar city, and felt it was important to be comfortable in the vehicle I was renting. I was dismissed. Long and the short of this story is that the staff on site were not helpful and failed to spend anytime reviewing the many high tech gadgets in the van. Needless to say before my three(3) day stay concluded, I was in a minor accident. While Enterprise can't be held responsible for the actual accident, they can be held responsible for failing to provide the reserved category of vehicle or a comparable car. They can also be held responsible for the very poor customer service in providing some instruction and support prior to my leaving the rental agency parking lot. I hold them completely responsible for the 'manager's' sarcastic and placating tone with me when I returned the vehicle. He repeated multiple times, simple comments like, "Have a nice day, ma'am. Have a nice day". This was his response to every comment associated with my complaint, along with a complete refusal to provide a district or regional customer service contact. Following the first disappointing experience in MN with Enterprise, neither my husband or I were able to secure a telephone contact with anyone in a position of authority and it was made very clear to me with this most recent nightmare experience that Enterprise is not interested in quality service, customer satisfaction or even common courtesy. As an RN and Nurse Educator if such care and concern was delivered to a single patient/client, I would not hold a license and a student would never obtain one. I'm writing here in to ding the regional manager, Tanya Lopez. ZERO STARS! DO NOT RENT FROM ENTERPRISE Rent-A-Car under EAN HOLDINGS, LLC, 1210 Airway Blvd., El Paso, Texas, 79925-3621. EVER!!!! On June 17th, 2013, my mother's Mercedes was crunched in the back bumper in a hit-and-run. My mother is insured with USAA, so we arranged to the have the car fixed at one of their approved vendors. We chose Hoy-Fox Mercedes repair shop (they have always given us superior service as well.) Everything was going great on Thursday, July 25th when we took the car into your repair shop. USAA has a deal with ENTERPRISE to provide us with a rental car with no out-of-pocket expenses via DIRECT-BILL, while the Mercedes was in the shop being repaired. The ENTERPRISE driver picked us up and we went to get the rental car, with disastrous consequences. The temperature was in the 90's and the only agent in the office was a gal named Karla. There were 5 groups of people in the office, waiting, and it was stifling. Honestly, the place was so hot and stifling, I felt like I was in James Arthur Ray's fatal "sweat lodge" in Sedona, Arizona. At one point, I mentioned how hot it was and Karla exclaimed: "Oh, yeah, I forgot to turn on the air conditioner!" My mother cannot take heat, so after Karla turned on the A/C, the temperature dropped, and the second hour of waiting was a bit more bearable. Karla never got off of the phone, at times she was chatting with a friend. We sat in that office for two hours waiting for a car. Karla had no cars for us. Ummm - isn't that what a RENTAL CAR COMPANY is supposed to have - RENTAL CARS??? Just like the air conditioning mishap, Karla also forgot to call and ask for cars. When I asked Karla for the phone numbers so I could call for a car, she refused to give me any numbers. She gave me the number to the ENTERPRISE regional manager, Tanya Lopez - (915)474-5823. However, Karla was not too busy to talk to her pals on the phone. Sadly, the El Paso International Airport is about a mile away, and all the cars were there. The ENTERPRISE driver could have driven us to where the cars were. But Karla refused to help us, and she was still chatting with friends. My mom and I were trapped. There were no cars. There were trucks, but they would not give those to us because they needed to be washed. A younger man appeared in the waiting room to return his car - a red Toyota Camry. I jumped up and said: "I'll take it!" Nothing more happened for another 30 minutes. I started to call USAA to get some relief. Finally, the ENTERPRISE manager appeared. He told me his name was Alfredo Heredia. I asked him why we were trapped in a stifling waiting room, with no cars at a rental car site, and he told me that everyone called in sick and he had no one to drive the cars to our location. (ummm - the manager, Alfredo Heredia, or the regional manager, Tanya Lopez, couldn't have driven cars??) I asked him why he didn't fire Karla for goofing off with her pals on the phone while 5 groups of people were waiting for cars? [There were a couple of soldiers from Ft. Bliss in uniform; a younger couple, and older man with his family; a younger man who was alone; and us.] Mr. Heredia looked down to the ground and said: "Everyone needs a job." Really? Even Karla who couldn't turn on the A/C, or put her buddies as a priority over ENTERPRISES' customers? Mr. Heredia finally gave us a Toyota, with half a tank of gas, dirty on the inside, and covered in suds. By that time, I would have taken a saddled camel to get out of there! We waited two hours! We were trapped with no way to leave the premises and no one to help us. NO ONE! DO NOT go to this den of incompetence! This place has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE on the planet! read more
