This is the most unprofessional place you could ever take your business. First off they couldn't find keys to the car they were planning on renting to us, and said a boss ran off with them while on lunch. (Which is fine but in this case,why?). Second off, the lady at the counter has done nothing but make this whole objective horrible. Third off, there were three employees running the counter but doing everything BUT their job. Additionally, the lady (Brooke) who worked with us was VERY condescending and treated my husband and I like we were fraudsters when I handed her my bank card. The rating should be a 0 (ZERO). The Elizabethtown Enterprise Car rental on 1506 North Dixie Highway. Store didn't open until 0804. A 2019 Compact (Versa) car was the only vehicle onsite instead of the the Intermediate vehicle ordered so we were told. When questioned Assistant Branch Manager Garrett P. Valentine was arrogant and unconcerned of his lack of preparedness. Vehicle still is not ready by 0826. We finally received the vehicle at 0833. A White couple who came in after us received an Intermediate Nissan Altima 2021 or 2022 which we should've received as well. I can't make a determination on if not receiving the correct vehicle was race related but 100% feel that this Enterprise leadership is incompetent. Instead of being on the road by 8:15 we had to stop and get gas from Sam's Club because the vehicle was only filled to half a tank. After filling the vehicle we headed off but the vehicle vibrated as we drove it so we returned it. The Etown Enterprise dealership refused to returned the $15 we paid for gas and stated that was because they didn't charge us for the day. We had that vehicle for less than an hour and returned it because we didn't feel it was safe to drive on a 11 hour trip. Again I say the leadership is incompetent and appears to be undeserving of a franchise. Never use this place. read more

My job requires lots of travel within the state and thus, I rent with Enterprise on average at least twice a month. I have been a customer of this location consistently for the past few months. I have never had an issue with a reservation and the location is always very clean. It is also conveniently located on the of most popular streets of Etown. This makes for a quick and easy trip for stopping at a gas station, grabbing food, or picking up materials at a business such as Walmart, Target, or Staples. It seems worth mentioning that there are well kept public restrooms near the front of the store since that is something that I have not encountered in other branches. read more

I've been a customer of enterprise for years and NEVER had a problem with customer service until today. Went in to rent a sedan and asked the worker if they had any available and he replied "no" and asked for my number so he would be able to call me if they had any come in. So I left and sent my wife in to do the same exact thing and she was told they had sedan(s) available. My wife then asked for a price and was quoted $150 and that was including military discount and checked online and the regular prices were cheaper then what was given even with the military discount! My wife then brought up the price difference and was told by the manager of some sort to do it online then and come back. Everytime, no matter the location the managers will always do whatever they had to do especially when it's just a few dollars different to keep the customers service. The main thing that pissed me off is WHY LIE ?!?!?! Last time going to the elizabethtown location and will stick to radcliff and if radcliff doesnt have the vehicle I need and Elizabethtown does oh well, I'll just rent another time or go else where. read more

I have to rent cars A LOT for work, so I've given a lot of branches a solid shake. The staff here are friendly and hard working and usually on point, but for whatever reason, it is such a headache to rent a car from the Etown Enterprise. Half the time, there's not a car waiting for me, sometimes it's the wrong car, sometimes it takes ridiculously long to get a reservation (a day and a half to two days). I get it, they're swamped. But I have better luck at other branches in the area. I appreciate them going through great efforts to correct these situations but I wish they didn't happen in the first place read more

I would have given them 3 or 4 stars, but they literally forgot to pick me up last week. Reserved a vehicle in-advance; they were 15 minutes late for pick-up; called & they said they would be there shortly. 5 minutes later get a call back saying they would be about an hour late because they were out of cars & were picking some up from the Louisville airport or something. Hour passes: no pickup, no call. TWO HOURS pass: No Call, No Pickup. Call the store & ask what the hell is going on; He asks for my name & asks I hold while he looks into it. Gets back on & I explain I was told 2 hours ago that it was going to be an hour late because they were in Louisville getting the car, yet nobody came. Guy explains that he was one of the people picked-up in Louisville & that they've been back with my car for at least and hour. I'm pissed & ask why nobody came to get me. He has no idea. Walked in after going online and saw they have several. Cars in every category . The greeting was nice until I told him I did not have a reservation ! I told the young man I was local and had to be in the vicinity to run an errand. When I informed him that everything I saw online was 37 to 41 dollars a day his attitude changed instantly!!!! I started out reserving a car at the Radcliff site, the called shortly after I made my reservation to tell me that they didn't have any cars available, let alone the one I reserved. They did offer, however to call Elizabethtown for me and see if Etown had a car. Which I thought very nice. Radcliff set up for Elizabethtown to pick me up when I got home from work. So far so good. My complaint is that the Elizabethtown office makes me feel like I am at a very, very shady used car lot. I've not finished this rental yet and am waiting to see how it works out before I go into too much detail If they follow through today with what the representative promised on Friday I will come back with an improvement in ratings. If they do not come through with what they promised, I will be giving them a worse rating as they will have lived up to the vibe one gets when one is in their store. read more

I have used enterprise in the past and they were great. Granted I had to pay a $50.00 deposit upon renting. This time I Tried for one day $47.00 rental and they told me I would have to put a 200 dollar deposit. I had to get a rental while my car was being repaired. The whole interaction started negatively when Enterprise failed to pick me up and I had to bum a ride to get the rental car because they they had no available drivers. The first car I was offered had bald tires and looked like it was a pace car in the Baghdad 500. Thankfully, Mr. Jackson Cooper got me in a roadworthy vehicle and he was so kind and professional that the negative first impression vanished and I felt very important and pampered when I drove off the lot. I will stick with Enterprise solely because of the way Mr. Cooper de-escalated my frustration and he was genuinely concerned with my well-being and satisfaction with the vehicle. Richard Conklin heads the team at this Enterprise branch and his cheery, can do, the customer is the engine attitude is evident throughout the operation. From front desk to the car detailers your interaction with the elizabethtown Enterprise will be pleasant and efficient. There are two branches closer to where I work and live but when I need a rental (average once a month) I head to Elizabethtown. I have been a regular customer for several years and have had no negative experiences. Also the vehicle selection is excellent if you need fuel efficiency they have it. If you need luxury for a long haul they can fix you up at a reasonable rate. Need space to transport a bunch of people or a bunch of stuff -- rent from Enterprise! read more

It isn't fun spending two to three hours trying to rent a vehicle. we have always had to wait or come back because the cars needed cleaning even with a reservation, The last time the reservation didn't go through which may have been my fault but tried to go ahead and rent one anyway and again, had to wait for the vehicle to be cleaned. Just canceled the rental and went elsewhere. Best place seems to be the airport in Louisville, Prices are too high here and deals are not to be found. My most recent rental experience at the E-town location was okay. The staff was very friendly and they did have my car available. I did have trouble finding the location since yellow pages is still listing the old address. When I told staff this, not even an apology. Previously, you were able to leave your car at the location. It wasn't until I was getting ready to leave that I was told that I had to leave my car behind a closed business or in a grocery store parking lot all weekend unattended. Definitely a plus that they had my car available though. The last two rental experiences have resulted in staff giving my reserved car to walk-in customers prior to my arrival. For a spring break vacation to Florida I rented a full size vehicle. I arrived and the staff tried to give me an economy size car for two adults, three children, and a weeks worth of luggage. I literally had to wait 2-3 hours for a vehicle to be returned. I was then given a small SUV and was going to be charged additional until I asked for corporate phone number. Other locations don't seem to have these issues. Overall this time around we did have a good experience. The car was comfortable and got excellent gas mileage. read more

I have rented many cars from Enterprise in Elizabethtown, KY. At least they now have a larger location which should make it much handier than the old, cramped building. I recently rented a car for my son who was coming home on leave from the Navy. I could not believe the hoops we had to jump through to get it taken care of. I was putting the car on MY credit card, but he and his wife also needed to show a major credit card in order to drive. First, we didn't know this. Second, they both had a debit card with a major credit card seal on it, but it said "debit" not "credit", so they weren't going to allow them to drive. The debit card was from a financial institution with a branch in Elizabethtown, but that still didn't please them. They then told them they needed to get some kind of statement from their Cell phone carrier. The whole time this is going on, I'm standing there thinking of how many cars I've rented from them, How long my son has served in the military, how many hoops we are jumping through, and how little respect was being paid to him, or obviously- military personnel in general. We finally got it worked out because he still had a KY drivers license, but his wife was not permitted to drive. This is probably the last car I will rent from them.
