The employee, Chase, and the Branch Manager were not willing to try to find another Enterprise location to accommodate my reservation. Needed to rent a car on the fly and contacted this location via my companies site to reserve which should allow for corporate discounts. I arrived at my scheduled time and there was just one person ahead of me and they were wrapping up so I didn't wait long. I have rented from other locations and there have been long lines so I was impressed that my wait was less than 5 minutes. The person checking me in was nice. He moved along quickly and let me know they only had two cars they could rent, a Toyota, or a very tiny car which shall remain nameless! I told him either were fine because I was in a bit of a hurry, he said you know what, let me get the Toyota ready for you I think you would be better suited in that car. I said sure okay. He went to get the keys and came back to let me know that it didn't have enough gas in it to rent it and that someone was going to run to the gas station to fuel it if I didn't mind waiting. I let him know I would go ahead with the tiny car. He talked it up letting me know it was pretty new and that maybe I would love it. I liked that he know it was a downgrade but tried to make the best of it, not just assuming that car would be fine, so I appreciated his humor. We checked out the car quickly, signed a few documents and I was on my way. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is because I have rented from other Enterprise before which I will not name the location and I was not charged a $300 deposit. This located charged a $300 deposit which I find a bit unusual. Since I was paying with a credit card not a debit card, seems like I shouldn't also be charged such a large deposit for a day rental. Just my feedback, when I mentioned it the guy helping me said all locations should be doing that and maybe they didn't because I rented several times at that location. Maybe. Not sure, but since it is with my work company seems that shouldn't be a thing, that's why not the 5 stars. Otherwise my experience was fine. I see the lower ratings from other people and it seems like it was around the insurance coverage. I was going to rate much lower because I rented a car from them that was supposed to be 4wheel drive but it wasn't. We didn't realize that it wasn't 4wheel drive until we had the car out in Breckenridge and it snowed 10 inches and we got stuck. They ended up giving us a refund and two free days rental so my rating definitely improved. DO NOT rent from this place. I reserved a car over 3 months ago 10 minutes before I go to pick it up they call to tell me they have no cars on the lot. Now mind you we are going to a wedding out of town normally when someone reserves for a specific time that's what time they need it. First the guy said 12 then said maybe 3. We ended up driving ourselves and it put us out over an hour and a half behind schedule. I called corporate they agreed this should have never happened since it was booked in advance. Corporate sent 3 complaints to their manager. I asked for the GM phone number they gave me an email to Michael Storms and no response. This place is a joke total chaos. Rented a van from them 5 weeks in advance and get a call at 530 the night before saying they had not vans or suvs. There "solution" just show up in the morning and hope they have one. Know mind you we are supposed to leave on vacation at 12 the next day and at that point in the evening, all locations are closed. The next morning at pick up, they are no help and make no effort to solve the problem which they themselves created. After over 3 hours of work we did ourselves, we found another branch who worked very hard to come up with a solution. What a joke of a branch and business. Their prepay policy is a rip off. They make it seem that for $3 a gallon, you'll only pay for the gas you use. In reality, they charge a set amount for an entire tank of gas costing nearly $40! I used less than 1/2 tank, driving the rental only 4 times while my car was being fixed, and I was charged for a full tank of gas!! I was contacted by someone in their corporate office who asked how they could make things better. My reply was for them to refund part of my money. Never heard from them again. I suggest never using this company for your rental. They aren't honest and upfront regarding this policy, so they're most likely dishonest in others as well. Not only will I never use them again, but I'm spreading the word about this company and its dishonest policy to all I come in contact. So far it's been well over a hundred. The people that work here are rude and disrespectful. I use Enterprise all the time I would never go here again. My husband got a car this week for $50 a day and it was an SUV. My son needed a car for the same reason because he had to have his car fixed and they charged him over $100 for a compact car even though it was supposed to be an SUV. I had the absolute best experience at Enterprise in Fishers, IN. I needed to rent a car for my son. I made my reservation online. When my son and I arrived, like every other place they had social distancing guidelines and procedures in place. They had markings on the side walk outside and parking spots designated for curbside service so you didn't need to come in. We were immediately greeted outside by Colin who was friendly and accommodating. He answered all our questions and even recommended some things such as, I initially had rented the car under a corporate account which in turn provided for a discount on the car rental, but Colin advises that if anything happened to the vehicle it would be the responsibility of the corporation to foot the cost of the bill if the car was damaged. Not wanting to do that I advised I would do the regular rental knowing that I would have to for go the discount, but Colin was able and was willing to still provide me the discounted rate. I also added my son as an authorized driver which was an extra $10 per day, but Colin took that off as well considering I was getting extra insurance, which I appreciated. Granted I may not have needed the extra, but I like to ensure all basis are covered. We waited while they cleaned the car inside and out, and he got us in and out within about 30 minutes top, may have been a little less time but we understood that he wanted to present us with a clean vehicle. Overall great experience, as this was my first time visiting this particular location. I would highly recommend if you are in need of a rental car and are up north, definitely consider this location. I have rented from Enterprise for years and never have dealt with the most unlearned non helpful people in a long time. It was great at first, my car was in the shop for an accident so my insurance covered the rental. Now this is my first time at this location... ever! Seeing it was right down the street I went ahead with them. The pick up was fantastic, I was however asked to get the insurance, it has been a while since I have rented a car so I asked would the rental be covered under my insurance, especially since they are paying for it, I was told, " Not sure that is something you want to ask your insurance company... by this time my insurance person was not in the office and I was pulling out of town, so sadly I was nervous not to have an answer so I said I will just get it for the weekend no biggy. But, with all that is going on in my life... such as life, 3 days turned into 11 days. I totally spaced that I was paying for this insurance. I got a call 11 days ..... 11 days later, not 3 or 4 days after the weekend but 11! Now I owe them $219.... more that a weeks rental that I didn't even have to pay but they got ME! Not only did I have to pay my deductible but the real devastation is that I know had to pay the bogus insurance when I didn't need it AT ALL!!! MY INSURANCE EXTENDS TO MY RENTAL CAR!!!! My thing is why did he call after 11 days to ask me if I wanted to take it off the insurance out of the blue! If I said the weekend and you making house calls why didn't you set an alarm to call me after the weekend but yet 11 days later after they really stuck me. Anyways I called them to speak to them because then I was told it would cost $169.99 that was the charge but it then ended up with tax or fees or whatever to that amount. If I didn't call 4 times it was 5 and no one could explain anything to me until I called for the second time today! One person new how to explain and read their receipt that is foreign to me!!! I thought it was $169.99 plus $50 deposit and that the deposit will drop off. I said all this because yes I am very upset to be out of $219 dollars for nothing. I am frustrated that I have to pay out of pocket for something that was already paid, also that said person wasn't straight up with me in regards to insurance.... I am not sure if they get a kick back for selling insurance but it is something that they are low key scaring people into getting insurance when they already have insurance. Pressure those who carry no insurance! I am not sure if I will ever go through Enterprise again and if I do it will definitely not be this location in Fishers. Trying to restart my life needed to rent car to make a quick trip to Baltimore. In and out. Talked to a gentleman he agreed to come and get me. Which he did. That's when it got bad for most of trip they were eaves dropping on questions driver asked. When I got there they would not rent me a car. I did not have any utility bills but did have two letters from social security addressed to me. he told me these were no good. I plan on talking to area manager soon. Chase the supervisor is awesome! I rented a vehicle from ERAC to drive to ATL to take care of my sick daughter. I picked up my elderly parents in IL and realized I had a bad driving veh. I notified Chase that the Decatur location refused to swap the rental vehicle. My parents and I aired the tires up and drove to ATL to take of my sick daughter. I got to ATL and tried to find a ERAC sponsored company to inspect the vehicle. and tired Every co. I called had a long wait or hard to work with. Chase and his team helped me find a location to assist what we have documented as a damaged tire. The ATL Firestone repaired the tired, when driving back to Indy the tire went flat. I called ERAC to ask if they would reimburse me if i just paid to replace the tire., instead of waiting for their service dept for over an hour. The mgr Chase agreed to reimburse me for the tire and due to my horrible experience presented a fair compensation for the ordeal. The ERAC general mgr refused to reimburse me for the out of pocket tire expense that ERAC authorized me to replace . Chase and his team is great, but watch the General mgr! Enterprise as a whole has always exceeded my expectations and the branch/office has never disappointed. From addressing me as Sir (not required) and offering me water to walking around the counter with the intent of properly explaining the final contract or bill to asking, in closure, if they have met all of my needs. I booked online through Priceline. I paid $55 for collision and $166 for the rental. When I got to enterprise, I was told they had better collision. I was promised that I'd be able to cancel what I had. Nope. So I called enterprise and told them they lied to me. There's nothing they can do about it. That's shady. So I'm paying $530 (including $200 security deposit I was never informed of online) instead of the $210 I was quoted online. **Josh made it right by giving me the money I paid for the Internet service's collision insurance. Last time I had a rental due to a car accident, I was surprised by a $262 charge that came out of my bank acct without me being aware.. called enterprise, was told my insurance ran out and I was due the last few days out of pocket. This is one of the busiest Enterprise car rental offices in the state. As a result, from time to time they promise to provide a car to client at a certain time, but then have no cars available. I had a reservation with them for 11 AM today. I received a call around 10 AM stating that they would not have a car for me at this time. I had to rearrange several interviews (I interview and hire job applicants) and bicycle twelve miles on a winter day to reach my office.
