Recently had a need for a rental car and this Enterprise location was what our insurance directed us to. This location sits on Columbia Avenue deep into Franklin and is your standard Enterprise location. The process was fairly easy. They had our rental vehicle ready, inspected and clean. From entry to exit took us about 20 - 25 minutes. Service was friendly and helpful. They had everything together, so there were no delays, which was a nice surprise, especially on a busy work day morning. The location is clean and there were no major issues had. read more

This is a fine establishment and it is ran well. I was acknowledged from each employee from the second I sat in the courtier van and walked in the building, even if the gentleman assisting me at the time stepped away, another employee made sure there were no hiccups. For starters you should not allow the online site to make 12pm appointments because your management does not allow for any mishaps. I was running late called in at 1153 pm and told them I was stuck in traffic 25 min away if someone could please wait for me as everything was already set up online and the manager told me company policy does not allow for any overtime and that they had places to be! I needed the car to drop my daughter off at college and we were leaving the next day at 6am! Yes I accept responsibility I have never rented in a weekend and was not aware of the closing time and I should have picked it up earlier but ran into some unexpected situation. I work as a nurse and I would love to be able to tell my patients sorry I have to leave at 6 on the dot and sorry you are having an emergency but one I am not that kind of nurse. read more

I was met with a office full of staff who didn't seem to care that I was being handed the keys to a dirty van that had obviously seen better day. They did nothing to try and help me. They sat inside while I borrowed a rag and tried to clean it up a little. They can't say they were busy. I was the only customer there. They just didn't care. I decided to go back in and void my reservation. Wasted time. Luckily I called hertz a couple miles away. They were helpful and eager to earn my business. A few minutes later I was in a newer, CLEAN, van and it actually cost me quite a bit less. Not sure why anyone would choose this enterprise location when they can get better service, better prices and a better vehicle only a couple miles away. I rent from this location quite often. Never had an issue. Fast, friendly and always do their best to accommodate my vehicle request. Yes, sometimes the vehicles are not full of gas which would be nice. But if it is on 1/2 tank then I bring it back on 1/2 tank. Though at times it can be a pain trying to negotiate my fuel level on vehicle return. But other then that, all smiles. read more

OK y'all I'm going there. I rented a car in Knoxville Tennessee, because our car was in the shop. I had two long drives to make. One to Kingsport. And one to Franklin Tennessee. My trip to Kingsport was lovely. The car drove nicely. And the gas mileage was incredible. The next day I drove to Franklin. Right outside of Franklin I get a low tire light on the dash. I arrived at my job which was roughly an hour, got back in the car with the low tire light, Googled the nearest enterprise location, and drove there. Upon arrival, I entered the store and was greeted by a tall, dark, man. I shared with him what was going on, and asked him what to do. He stated this "well as you can see we don't have any cars on this lot. And I cannot give you a full-size truck or one of our vans for a one-way. So you're going to have to take take it to Firestone and get it repaired." I asked the gentleman if it was customary for customers to do the repair and maintenance on their rental vehicles. His response was "well I don't know what else you're going to do." I exited the store, got in the rental car, and as I was backing out this gentleman wraps on the passenger side window and says "well I guess you could have the Corolla that is sitting back there." To which I responded, "no thank you, I'm going to make a phone call." I drove out, went to a parking area up the road, made a phone call to headquarters for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and then proceeded to Firestone. After a number of back-and-forth emails, Enterprise wrote off the fee for the two days that I have the vehicle. On the premise that I returned the car that day by 430. Of course I'm in central time zone, sitting at a repair shop with their vehicle, for an hour and a half, and I'm three hours away from their eastern time zone rental car store. Doesn't it seem common sense for the man to call another Enterprise Rent-A-Car to get another vehicle to me while they take to Firestone for repairs? They advertise "we'll pick you up" but only if your vehicle isn't in distress. Needless to say I returned their rental car that day with a total flat tire. I drove in on the rim and that was after taking their car in for repairs. Rent at your own risk. read more

Rent from Enterprise at your own risk!!! A friend of mine rented a car on a business trip to Tennesee. While he had the car he went to open the back door and the handle came off in his hand. When he returned the car, he gave them thee door handle and explained what happened. At first he was told there was no problem. However, their "suits in cubicles" at some office somewhere decided that they needed to bill him for damage. $102.1 for the door handle, $50 for administrative fees, $24.67 for loss of use, $10.21 for diminished value. They finally waived the diminished value amount and charged him $176.77. This, for a handle that was clearly already defective. I had a bad experience with Enterprise administration (not the field people) as well. I rented a car in Hawaii. A tire went flat for no apparent reason. When I called the number on the paperwork, it was some office on the mainland. I was told to call someone to fix it and I would have to pay for it. That was the end of it. I urge everyone to spread the word about Enterprise. They are a dangerous company to do business with. read more

my Son who is 20 hit a deer in his car and we dropped his car off at Service King on July 23rd! Keep in mind my son drives a sedan and they were notified by my insurance company of the type car he drives, but they apparently didn't keep that in consideration because they brought a Mini Van for him to drive!! The gentleman did tell me we good bring it in later to exchange it one returns begin to happen! When we were going over the price of the rental and the additional insurance, I made sure to ask with my son being 20 is the any rules and will the additional insurance I'm taking will cover him!! He said as long as he has full coverage on his car then it would be ok for him to drive the rental car and he would be covered by the additional insurance!! So the afternoon comes and I leave work early to meet my son to trade out cars, upon arrival the assistant manager informed me my son had to be 21 to drive a mini van and even he has full coverage the insurance company would have to only have him on the care referral Or he would not be covered if an accident would have happened!!! I was totally pissed, but also thankful nothing happened!! I let him know I asked all this important questions and was told the wrong information! He did have the rep come out and he admitted that he did inform me wrong! He began to explain to me they have new employees who are not aware of all the rules!!! Now I'm on the phone scrambling to call the car insurance company at 4:15 on a Friday when they close at 4:30 to have them send over a new referral! To no avail! So I was stuck over the weekend driving a minivan!!!! While my son drove my car! I came back in on my next off day to trade the car in and at this time I did speak to Gianna and I explained my disappointment with enterprise, she apologized! We traded cars and I was informed by them that my additional insurance would lower when turning in the mini van on the initial pick up day! Can you believe I was once mis informed again, but they did lower my fee from 17.99 to 12.99 Starting that day to rectify the multiple errors I have had with the company! When Gianna called and said I see where you may have picked up your car yesterday from the repair shop and wanted to get an update when you would be returning the rental car!! Really!! This is unbelievable to me!!! Enterprise has gave been wrong and very aggravating through this entire process and now they call me at 7:45 am to find out when I'm returning their car!!!!! The face I have not picked up my son car yet has me furious!!! When I called and spoke to Gianna, it was if she was dismayed my utter disappointment in Enterprise and she thought thing were ok because the adjusted my price of the insurance, that was the least they could do, because they mis informed me about that as well!!! I would advised to not use the Location on Columbia Ave in Franklin, TN they are terrible!!!! I used Enterprise back last year for a accident I had and everything was great!! read more

I have had several experiences with this branch of Enterprise, my company is located just up the street and we have used them before on an AS NEEDED basis only (we are a car company). Well I personally have had to use them twice. The first time I picked up a car they tried giving me a dodge avenger (in place on my Audi, when the insurance pays them to match vehicles according to vehicle class) I ended up in a Ford Fusion which was a nice car, not gonna complain...it is a rental after all. My biggest complaint was it was filthy. Cup holders had junk in them and like sticky crap all over the steering wheel. Just was gross. So no worries...I cleaned it, myself. When it came time to turn the car back in I paid my detail company $100 to detail the car ("Inside Out" who did a fantastic job!) and make it perfect, more so to prove a point, and it was no big deal, honestly I was trying to pay it forward for the next guy to enjoy. Well I handed in the keys to the car in better condition than I found it, nothing, not a thank you for taking the time to clean it, NOTHING. And I even told them I had it detailed...Still Nothing. Whatever fine, no big deal, well go in the second time 2 weeks later (my car had to go back to the shop for a hit and run). It took 2 days to find a rental. 2 Days, searching locations from Nashville, to Franklin. I think there is probably at least 7 locations or more in between(one of them a regional store). Finally on the end of the second day, my car was in the shop and my insurance had already paid Enterprise to supply me with the car and still nothing. Let me say also I dealt with the same man twice, Justin, he tried to be professional but it came across as rude and impersonal. Almost sounded like a recording at times and never went out of his way to help. I think there is some serious need of customer service training. I gave them multiple chances to make it right. Finally I gave up,I decided I'm going to use a different company. Didn't take the rental. BTW I live in Nashville and work in franklin so after I was promised something to be figured out...it never worked out. I was told to wait tell the next morning. Well how was I suppose to get home? The drive was 40 min. A co-worker allowed me to borrow a spare car for the night...how embarrassing! NEVER AGAIN will I even give them any of my time. It takes a lot for me to write a bad review, I understand how much it effects a business but this did not set with me well and genuinely believed it needed to be done. What a wonderful experience. I had some changes in my scheduling and I was expecting a hassle. Instead, the crew at Franklin could not have been more helpful. I am a Sr. and was traveling with my young granddaughter, we had scheduling changes and a storm in which one could not drive safely. There are 3 associates and the manager who are always friendly and accommodating. There is one female associate who is obviously unhappy in her role and I've overheard her griping and complaining all eight times that I've been in to pick up or return a car. I have been fortunate enough not to have to deal directly with her. The pick up and return is efficient and fast without a hassle. The gas tank is not always full and I return it with a full tank to pay it forward because as a busy business traveler I know how frustrating it can be to pick up a car that has only a half tank of gas. This is my only choice in the area (corporate approved) and even though I live about 10 miles away they are not able to accommodate me with a pick up, to date I've been able to work around that. read more

I'm an avid National Car renter, but live around the corner from this Enterprise location and often need to make work trips down to Alabama. I'd rather not drive north 25 minutes to the Nashville airport National location, but I'm considering doing that after my recent experience with this Enterprise location. My visit on Monday, 10/19 was disappointing. It was obvious they were short-staffed. 8 people were waiting when I got there at 7:45am. I believe they open at 7:30am. If you know how many reservations you are going to have why don't they have staff come in earlier to prepare cars? So many were being cleaned in the back when I got there. I was told it would be a 30-45 minute, so I settled for a mini-van. It was nice of the associate to offer that, but still would have been nice to get the vehicle I reserved. I have to get on here and express my high praise for this Enterprise location. I showed up without calling ahead and 10 minutes after I had called my insurance company to request authorization, I was driving away in a car. While I was in their office waiting for my insurance company to open, I watched the representatives greet each customer with a smile, treat them with respect, and work quickly to arrange for their rental or return of a vehicle.
