I called Enterprise customer service department and they couldn't do or did anything to help me, useless. I was slapped with a $788.02 for a dent on a trunk which could have be done for much less if they were given me a choice. The one and only Golden State Auto Body Shop is their premier shop, NO EXCEPTIONS!!! So if you decided to rent a car from Enterprise be prepared to pay a premium price from their 1 and Only Golden State Auto Body shop in Newark, Ca. when you have a small to big incident. Xavier!!! This gentleman totally made my dayyyy! The last 24 has been challenging at best....my vehicle was tampered with and waited HOURS for a tow truck last night as my location was 40 from civilizarion. Had my truck towed to a trusted mechanic in Fremont who will give his pro opinion in a written statement. Luckily my coverage includes a rent a car at enterprise while the repairs are being done. Yay! The worst experience with a rental car company. I followed the recommendation of my body shop who was doing repairs on my car, and dropped it off there for enterprise to pick up. I receive a voicemail a few days later from the branch stating that there was a big rockchip in the windshield driver side and they need to get it fixed. They went ahead and changed the whole windshield, didn't take any pictures of the damage, and holding me liable for something that didn't happen. I had the car for 2 days, drove for 30 miles. I will not ever go to this branch again and will tell all my friends and family as well. read more

I was helped by Francine. We arrived close to 6pm, which is their closing time. She not only stayed patiently to help us (well after the time she is supposed to go home), but also gave us quite a few options (which again takes her time to go through). Probably the worst Enterprise i have been to; and I have been to several in the past few years. So I made a reservation in advance for a small size car, and went to pick up the car within a half hour after I got the confirmation. I reached the place 5 minutes ahead of the scheduled pick up time. Lo and behold. I was caught by surprise when the front desk person told me that she did not have any cars of this size. They did not honor my reservation even though they had other cars sitting in the lot - albeit one car grade higher than the one I reserved. Then this front desk gal began blaming the enterprise reservation system for confirming my request ! Great excuse ! Most big rental places I have been to usually upgrade you to the next higher car level, if they do not have cars matching the reservation. But not this one ! How do I know they had other cars available ? - because I overheard this same front desk person talk about her car availability to some one else on the phone - while I looked on. It was like she wanted to tell me that I have cars but I ain't giving you any !! And she made literally no eye contact at all in the entire 10 minutes I was there. I felt I was talking to a stone wall. Maybe I went at the wrong time (on a weekday in the afternoon), because I see other reviews out here. And lastly, this place smelled like someone just had lunch. Reminded me of rotten cabbages for some reason. Bottom line Enterprise needs to train their staff better before putting them on customer facing positions. Its truly a shame, because based on my past experience. Enterprise was one of the better car rental places out there. read more

I had to unfortunately go to this place this morning as Hertz next door did not have intermediate size cars. They quoted me $15 on top of what my Insurance covers for a BMW X5 and later when the paper work was completed Vinh changed the quote to $30 per day. This is completely unprofessional and at the very least he could have said he made a mistake. Vinh seemed to be a nice man but he had a supervisor who made him changed the quote. I think end of the day typical car sales people and unethical pricing is part of the show. Be careful with these guys. read more

I've rented from a couple different Enterprise locations around the country before, and the customer service here is exceptional! Not only were Rob and Ellie friendly, kind and enthusiastic about their work, but they were also quite apologetic over the smallest of hiccups (eg: computer delays, etc.). I rented a mid-size vehicle for 5 days and couldn't quite make the Friday 6pm drop-off time due to traffic. However, Ellie was really flexible and allowed me to simply park the car at the nearby auto shop where it was fixed, and I was only charged through Friday instead of the weekend. A quick call to Rob on Monday confirmed that things had gone through smoothly as he picked the vehicle up from the auto shop just fine. read more

I needed to rent a vehicle urgently and without advance notice. The lady on duty at 7:45am was ready with available inventory, pricing, very courteous and helpful. Since they had limited on-hand inventory, I checked next door with their competitor. The person there was un-professional, un-helpful, uncertain about everything - pricing, availability and essentially told me to go away if I did not have advanced reservations. I rushed back to Enterprise Rent-A-Car and took the best available option. Extremely quick paperwork, inspection and issue of the car. The next day, when I went to return the car, again outstanding service, courteous, expeditious and helpful. No wasted time. In and out in less than 5 mins. Would definitely go back if I ever needed a rental in the area. read more

Im giving 5 stars to the lady that work the closing shift on friday 06/28/19. She saved the day for me lol. I was circling around this place for like 30 minutes, google maps kept saying I've arrived I was loosing my mind and wasting gas I just put in lol but when I tell you I never would have found this place I never would have found this place lol. I had a lil break down moment lol but she was super sweet and came to my location which was ONLY 2 minutes away, yes I know ONLY 2 minutes if you have been here you will understand what I mean . She let me follow her back. I never seen a car rental place So in the cuts. She handled my over reacting very professional , She gave no attitude really sweet of her to that and they were also closing in 2 minutes. Since they were closing I couldn't get a free ride so had to take lyft but she made sure one was coming for me. Sucks I didn't get her name but she probably will remember" the girl that had a mental break down because she couldn't find enterprise " Lol thank you thank you:) forgot to mention why I was stressing so bad, I had to pick my car up from the shop and they were closing as well and my mechanic wasn't answering. I do not post reviews that often but this was a horrible experience with Enterprise so I feel obligated to let others know so they can be careful next time they rent from Enterprise (which I will NEVER do again in my life). My car was being fixed for a minor hit-and-run and that was why I took out a rental from Enterprise located right at the body shop. As soon as the agent showed me this white Prius that I was going to rent, I saw this huge scrape on the corner of the front bumper (black scratch against a white background), so the agent documented it and suggested us to walk around the car to see if there were other damages. I noticed various lines in other areas of the car and pointed them out to the agent, but he said they were too minor to document so I trusted him and let it go. When I returned the car 2 days later, it was another agent who received the car. After I handed him the key in the office, he walked out alone to the parking lot to inspect the car. When he came in, he said the car was keyed on the door on the passenger side. I went to the parking lot to see it for myself; I did agree with him that there was a scratch when I touched it, but it was colorless and it was not visible from all angles; it was only visible from a certain angle under certain light. It looked just like one of those lines that I pointed out to the original agent who did not care to document them. The agent told me that a 3rd party would look back 10 contracts on the same car to see if the damage was reported before (as I said, it wasn't visible from all angles so maybe some agents saw it and some didn't). I was charged a $100 deductible on the spot to cover the damage, but I was told that if that 3rd party found anything, the $100 will be refunded to me. The next day, I thought maybe I should talk to the original agent to see if he'd agree that it was one of those scuff marks he didn't care to document. After 5 phone calls to 2 locations, I finally got a hold of him. However, he was not wiling to help, but told me that the car was already in the shop to be fixed. A few weeks later, I got a "report" from Enterprise saying that the damage was fixed and they wanted another $130 from me. Included with the report was 2 pictures supposedly showing the damage that was fixed. And guess what? The damage shown on those pictures are the big scratch on the bumper I noticed right when I was shown the car and was documented. See what I meant by "the keyed marked was not visible from all angles"? Even the photographer could not see it. Even though my insurance will cover the damage and American Express will cover the deductible I have to pay (so I pay $0 at the end of the day), this is NOT RIGHT. Here are the reasons: (1) The agent who handed me the car was not wiling to document all the damages I saw (and I was too naive to trust him that they were considered "minor"). (2) The agent who received the car was outside to inspect the car alone so who knows if he did anything to the car? The car was parked in my garage the whole time I had it except for about 2 hours when it was parked in an uncrowded parking lot at Stanford University in the middle of the day. Again, I should have followed him outside and watch him until I'm cleared. (3) The receiving agent told me there would be a third party. There was NO third party. When this guy from Enterprise called me this morning and said my insurance agent had not contacted them, I asked him about the "third party" and he said there was no such thing. "All the records are in the system.". That's clearly NOT what I was promised. (4) When I received the car, there was this big and VERY VISIBLE black patch on the front bumper. Why were they so eager to take the car to the shop to fix that key scratch "i made" within 24 hours of the return, but never cared to fix that very visible big scratch on the bumper? Suspicious. The other time I rented from Enterprise in another state, it was not a good experience either. On the way to get my rental, the agent kept hard selling this BMW to me and said it was on special that day. I turned him down because I was there for my daughter's meet and I only needed a simple car to get us to the site and the hotel. When I returned the car a few days later, the receiving agent asked me "So how was the car?". It was a mid size car or something but it served its purpose fine so I said "It was OK. Thanks." The agent replied, "Oh, just OK? Then you should check out our BMW next time." Excuse me?! I should have ended any business relationship with Enterprise right there but unfortunately I rented from them again. But I swear, I will NEVER in my life rent from Enterprise again. Period. And in case you still want to try them out, please be careful of their scam. Good luck. read more

The whole rental procedure was satisfactory except it took longer than I expected. The place I was supposed to pick up rental car didn't have the type of car I had reserved for and I had to be taken to another place to get the car. I would appreciated it very much if Enterprise could have informed me this before I left home for the rental car.
