It's better just to go to the airport for better availability.

I also didn't want to haggle with the clerk and spoil my vacation before it started. What a classic case of "bait and switch". Of course Budget will say it is not responsible for fees imposed by their foreign affiliates and may include this verbiage in their contract. The representative I worked with was very nice and obviously overwhelmed. In the 20 minutes I was there, I saw multiple other customers have the same experience as me. I am writing this review with the hopes that the Budget corporate office changes how they do things. I called customer service and they responded with "if you look at the terms and conditions, a reservation doesn't guarantee a truck." What's the reservation for, then? She said it's to "guarantee the rate." How hard is it to keep track of inventory and not allow folks to reserve a truck that doesn't exist? Maybe it's super difficult? Anyway, hopefully this review prevents other people from having to reschedule their move and all the logistics that involves.
