This is a good branch of Enterprise. The office is tidy, clean. Staff helpful and polite. The cars are clean when you get them. (They havent been from other branches/companies). Of the five times we have rented from this location, none have broken down (that has happened other places) and I have had zero issues returning cars. What I don't like... has nothing to do with this particular location, it has to do with the company.... You reserve online. You receive confirmation of what you reserved. You are happy about your choice of cars. You get there and often they don't have what you reserved. This makes you disappointed, sad. This has happened at every branch enterprise we have used. Even this one. We were suppose to have a mid-full sized SUV... what wasnt here was a Nissan (oh so tiny) or a big honking Tacoma. We took the truck.... Which is super nice, but not what we had in mind. This happens to us at every Enterprise, so it seems like its no longer a coincidence. Lol. When we rent a car at Sixt this never happens. Ever. Sadly, Sixt isnt in Ohio so we will keep going here as the manager is amazing here and she takes good care of our rental needs. read more

I have no interest in ever using Enterprise for car rentals. Over the years, I've used your service and recommended it to others, but that ended after having to deal with the manager at the 1346 Cherry Bottom Rd Columbus, OH branch. My insurance made the reservation and sent me a confirmation email for the rental. I had been in an accident and totaled my truck. I called the location to confirm a pickup time, and they told me I could get a vehicle after 3:30 PM. I called back at 2:30 PM to verify my rental, but the manager rudely, disrespectfully, and condescendingly told me that I hadn't verified my rental early enough and that I would have to wait until the next day, maybe he would have me a car then. I was stranded and 500 miles from home. The lackluster customer service and deficient social skills of the manager were unacceptable read more

Had to rent a car by my insurance due to a deer accident. It was already stressful with the incident. When my insurance offered Enterprise at Cherry Bottom up the street I jumped on it as it's super close. Little bit of a hiccup as this incident took place on a busy Monday after a holiday. Got a text first thing that am my car would be ready in 4 hours and someone would be in touch. Nothing so I took a trip up there only to be told they JUST GOT the notification from my insurance two hours after I was told via text it would be 4 hours for the arrangement. Must be patient. It helps everyone. The best they could do was a car the next day mid morning. Done. That little office was jammed with five waiting customers with one service rep who was a delight such a doll. The next day all they had was a minivan (I'll take it) and 3/4 filled with gas (I'll take it - need wheels). Made arrangements for me to turn in the van two days later for a car that is fully authorized by my insurance. Done. When asked how long I would need the rental it was all so much up in the air I couldn't give a firm answer as I was tied to the collision center for repair. I asked for two weeks as a start and if we needed to extend to call me. Car got fixed in 17 days; a day earlier than anticipated. When making arrangements to pick up my fixed ride, CARSTAR COLLISION shared I could drop off the rental as they do this all the time making arrangements with the rental companies. DONE. I couldn't be happier with Enterprise. Filled up the tank turned it into the collision place. Got my fixed ride and a call from Enterprise the next day asking for a review to help the team out. DONE. DONE and DONE. Enterprise Cherry Bottom rocks. This team could use a little more loving super bummed to read previous reviews. Respectful but for those considering in the future, you're in great hands. read more

Came in with a scheduled time didn't receive my car until about 45 minute after that scheduled reservation time. Service was not impressive, actually quite dismissive and like I was an inconvenience. Told them I was in a hurry to get to an appointment, offered me a dirty car that I could take right away. I declined because who wants to get in a dirty rental car-- NO ONE! Waited for a "clean" one and it was not clean. Both the outside and inside were dirty. I called enterprise 3x and they kept saying someone from the region would get ahold of me about my experience, but no One ever has. I would suggest Hertz or the Turo app honestly. read more

Made a reservation over the phone with this location while visiting family. Family member went to pick up the vehicle, the car company said the reservation never existed. So instead of a reg 4 door I reserved, we had to get the SUV. Also, the SUV wasn't clean NOR was the tank filled up with gas. That got taken care of by the staff on the spot, which made us almost late for a funeral we need to be on time for in another state. We weren't even told in the rental contract that the car takes e85 gas until the car is close to empty during our trip. We fill the car with e85 gas. We find out after returning the rental vehicle that Enterprise was putting regular fuel in there to fill the car up. **SIGH** Ended up paying more than was quoted to me on the phone since the reservation never existed according to Enterprise. Poor combination, poor performance, & poor execution on this Enterprise location. read more

This location was a tremendous asset during my recent rental experience. The vehicle assigned to me was of the same class as mine - which was totaled in an accident. I absolutely loved this car. Unfortunately, I had to exchange it midway due to a license plate/registration issue. I was then assigned the same vehicle, although with a lower-tiered trim. I really liked this car as well. The staff was courteous and helpful. They kept me informed of the insurance process. The staff also were very responsive given the mid-rental exchange necessity. Overall, very positive. I will definitely use/recommend this location should the opportunity present itself. read more

Not only does Enterprise not pick you up anymore, but the Cherry Bottom Rd location has no concern for customers and their needs. Called the aforementioned location and asked for a current bill of my rental costs for the two months I've been renting to be emailed to me because I need it now for something I'm involved in. Can't do it until after I bring the vehicle back. Too late. Illogical and inconveniences their customers who are keeping them in business. Called same location several weeks ago to change credit cards but can't over the phone. Had to come in to do that. And, a vehicle I brought back that had so many problems I swapped for another one. Came to find out they re-rentef that vehicle even after they knew it so many issues. Again, not concerned about inconveniencing the customer. After I drop off my vehicle, I'll never use Enterprise again. So many other rental companies within ten minutes of my crib. They're also understaffed making it almost impossible to get them on the phone. read more

It was nice having a rental near me. The 3 representatives that were working when I first went in were nice and they made it easy to get my rental that my insurance called in for. However, I tried calling 4 difference times with questions and to tell them where I'd dropped my vehicle and no one picked up after waiting 10 minutes twice, 16 minutes, and then 20 minutes. I never spoke to anyone after the initial call and visit. So that brought my rating for them down significantly. I hope they improve their phone answering to general questions/concerns. read more

Got into an accident and had to have my car towed. I had to take the day off work, and called Enterprise this morning. I was was told I would get picked up at 2pm. At 2:30pm I called to see how much longer it would be and they said they didn't have any availability any more. Then why did I even bother making a reservation? And why didn't you call me back once you canceled my reservation? Let's keep this about ERAC only, and not an insurance provider. This was the chosen rental agency. Due to last minute confirmation number, ERAC could not provide me with the agreed class of vehicle. I asked them to call other locations. They were absolutely willing to do so. The complication come in that they are all independent of each other. They all have their own geographical zone. To get that free "We'll pick you up", you must be in that zone. I was in a zone with without my class vehicle. My vehicle was in another zone that would not pick me up in another zone. This was explained to me, but still trying to help me as much as they could. This completely disrupted my schedule with the collision center. A week later I had a reservation and they brought the rental to the collision center for me. Paperwork was a couple touch pad strokes. A quick inspection revealed the same as their inspection notes. The vehicle was clean, neat and tidy. It was in the same class as my own vehicle, but not one that I would purchase. I was a bit surprised that they would rent one with obstructed visibility from large strut supports. That is exactly why I never even test drove it when shopping for my own. Everything worked flawlessly on the vehicle. Lots of complimentary accessories. I had my phone paired easily. It was easy on fuel consumption. The return turned out rather easy also. I called them and told them I was fueling nearby, and asked if they wanted to give me a ride to collision center or pick it up there. They agreed and dropped me off. Update! I left sunglasses in the vehicle and returned. I went to the location so see if they found sunglasses and gave them description and said no. The agent called the rental to see if they found the sunglasses and said yes!. The agent asked the rental to return the sunglasses with the vehicle and said yes.. (on speaker phone so that we both could hear). I checked with the location to see if the car returned and my sunglasses. Car returned but vehicle has been rented out again! Last week I was there to see if they retrieved the item and they told me that manager took the car for a meeting, and I said I'll check back. I checked back today and they told me car has been rented out again and they don't know.. I've spoke to 4 agents and they keep saying that car is rented and they didn't even check the car. They keep telling me that they will call me and they put hold on the vehicle so that they would check before rented out but obviously that didn't happen. It has been a month!!! And 4 other rentals!!!!!! They never called me back nor they don't have any info because they keep stating that I wasn't here! I was sick for that day and had to leave early! I have been going to this enterprise for 4 years and have ALWAYS had a great experience. Their prices are great. The staff is friendly and efficient. My car is always ready to go. The cars are always clean and comfortable. I recently rented a van to take a weekend vacation to chicago with my wife and 3 grandchildren. The Dodge Grand caravan was comfortable and got 26. I have now rented from this location~7 times for both personal and work related activities. While there does seem to be a good bit of turnover in terms of representatives at the location (don't think I've ever talked to the same one) I can say that all have been professional and quick. They've always had the vehicle class I've requested and often in better shape than I'd expected. The hours for the location are a bit restrictive especially Sunday close... But if you can work around the hours you can save a bunch of airport pickup/drop off fees in the long run. read more

We have never had a bad experience at this location. In fact, twice, we have been upgraded to either a small SUV (when we rented a full-size car) or a bigger SUV when we rented a smaller one at no charge! They do seem to not always have the car that you rented available and you get a substitute, but if it's an upgrade, I'm good with that (also means less fuel economy for you so you kind of do pay for it lol). We rent cars for our road trips for something different and to save mileage on our personal and leased vehicles and the price is always fair and the cars in great condition. Our only complaint is that the models, while usually close to brand new, are pretty stripped down and basic...except for one time we got the nicest, loaded Ford Explorer for our trip to Minnesota...it was so nice, we have considered actually buying one! read more

Anyone considering obtaining services provided by Enterprise Rent-A-Car should seriously rethink it. I rented a car from the Cherry Bottom Road location in Gahanna, Ohio. I am being billed for damage that did not occur while the car was in my possession. The alleged damage was recorded after an Enterprise employee drove the car from the drop-off location (body shop) to the Cherry Bottom location (though they could have stopped for a coffee or lunch since Enterprise did not record the pick-up time of their VSP). My complaints were met with disdain by the assistant manager. This assistant "manager," was unable to repeat to me the simple Enterprise Rent-A-Car philosophy that I have now memorized from being placed on hold for extended periods of time. Enterprise flaunts their core company philosophy but the fact that management level employees do not know it is laughable. Do not waste your time, money, or sanity with Enterprise. read more

I hadn't rented from this Enterprise for a while for my job so I decided to give this location a try. By far the worst car rental I've driven and I rent very frequently due to my job. I selected the moderate level four-door but was given the bottom of the barrel rattled up Mitsubishi Mirage. My company spends a lot of money on rentals so you would expect to receive a vehicle with cruise control, seat adjustments (for short stature folks) and an engine that doesn't have a noise decibel level similar to having all four windows rolled down! To make things worse, they charged my corporate card a $250 deposit for a $36 rental (who negotiated that deal??!). Roadside assistance is also an additional $4/day. I told the customer associate who accepted my return that "I was not happy, I drove over five hours with no cruise control!" and she said with very little empathy..."sorry, what do you want me to do..." I was hoping she could offer up some kind of service recovery but just said..."well, the car level you chose rarely has cruise control.." I said "I selected the moderate level and you gave me the worst car in the fleet!" I arrived the day prior around 3:30PM and waited 30 minutes so I wasn't going to argue with the selection they gave me or it would've taken even longer! I'm never renting here again. One star is waaaaaay too generous! -5 stars would be more accurate!! Worst car rental experience I've ever had! Let me first say I never used this place before!!! But I rent at least twice a year for summer trips with no issues, and this time was exactly the opposite! The vehicle they provided was a 2019 Ford Fusion with 6000 miles. The cars engine light came on while on the freeway and we started calling the office in Gahanna immediately. NO ANSWER!!!! After 6 calls we kept getting kicked over to a schedule desk that left us on hold for 1 hour before disconnecting the call. We finally connected with a wrecking service that called after sending me a ETA of 5 Minutes out...that they're not coming for another 2-3 hours. This turned into 4 1/2 hours on the side of the road with a rental car oozing fluids and steaming like a fire breathing dragon, and no ac on a hot day!!! Upon my arrival back at the rental agency the associate explained that she would leave my ticket open and I would receive a call from the owners. Instead I was charged the full rental plus an extra day for getting back late (because their car broke down) The worst part is the fact that when I went back because nobody called me, I met with the owners who felt I should still pay for being late and refused to refund my money for this insane experience! Upon further explanation of my bad experience I was given a full refund...probably just so I'd leave! And later the next day they began reversing the credits they gave me while I was in their store! Never rent here!!!! They will put you in harms way and expect you to pay for it! I pray they are run out of the business before someone is seriously injured by their faulty cars! read more

Never use this location or enterprise for that matter. The place is dirty, employees are rude, you will be put on hold forever, and most importantly you will be billed for damages you didn't do. They will rip you off with prepaid fuel. You will be charged for a full tank whether you use it or not, which they don't tell you. They will make you think you need to buy supplemental insurance, which you don't need, if you want to cancel it you will have to go back to location to take it off. I brought car back, employee checked car over and refunded my deposit. I later got a call from enterprise asking what I did to the trunk. Employee said there was a scratch to the trunk that would need fixed. That was 1 of the many scratches to the car that were preexisting. Received a bill for just under 500.00 which is my deductible and they already knew that. I have been reading the bill is always under deductible so insurance company doesn't get involved. The scratch now appears to be a dent from what the bill is showing from enterprises damage recovery unit. It's all a big scam. I will never rent from enterprise again. I would rather be stranded without a car than be ripped off by them again. read more
