Time saver! I signed up to be an enterprise member online. Then I rented online. I received a text message in advance that my car was ready. All I had to do to check in was click the link in the text which allowed me to avoid the line at the rental center. I went straight to the garage. I was greeted by a young man who gave me a couple options for my rental. I chose the Hyundai Kona. It was a great little car was awesome gas mileage. It was in good shape and pretty clean and fairly new. I received a text reminder about my car coming due in a day. I returned my car early and no one was there. But there was signage that said I to drop the key (with rental paperwork denoting mileage- paperwork I did not have?!?) so I hope it's all good. The rental center is right across from the airport. An easy walk. Very convenient. Update: received my itemized bill via email at 4:15am! This was not long after I dropped it off. Those guys are here early! The bill is as expected. Thanks! read more

Kentwood, Mi...They were supposed to pick me up at the collision shop and never showed. The folks there brought me to enterprise. I'd already been waiting an hour for them, and had to wait in line again once I got there. The people there weren't very nice and didn't seem to care about the mix up. I was accused of not returning my vehicle 2x my last two rentals I just feel like they need to look more carefully into how we drop the vehicle off checked in then re renting.. I usually never have a problem with enterprise on 28th in Grand Rapids VICTOR AND RYAN ARE TWO AMAZING people that I would consider going to the lady Tiffany was very very rude and hung up in my face I almost never have a problem there if I do they make sure I'm all set !!! I'm very unhappy about my last two rentals from them i just wish they don't rush and slow down before just putting someone else in the vehicle right away other than that I wish everyone would rent from RYAN OR VICTOR 28th Grand Rapids cause these are two amazing people read more

DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM ENTERPRISE!!!!!! After I turned in my car rental, which was already paid for in full, they proceeded to charge my debit card and refused to give me a refund. After many calls and emails, they still refuse to give me the refund for the double charge. Screw them!! read more

Myself and my coworker came into town for business. The Assistant Branch Manager, Madison, was very personable. We chatted while she worked and I love that. She asked if we were familiar with the rental place abs we weren't so she personally walked us out to where our car would be located. We had an easy pick up and drop off. I love enterprise. Always fast helpful and friendly. I travel for work alot and enterprise is always my car rental company of choice. Excellent customer service and always quick check in and check out. Unfortunately after a horrible customer service experience bordering on fraud I will never rent from Enterprise again. The employees inLA are the best ever and actually every where I visited but don't ever have your window smashed in while you are sleeping. Their corporate department was just plain rude and tried to charge me for a windshield when the side window was broken. When I questioned them on the bill they suggested i argue with the body shop and then told me it didnt matter they all cost the same. Horrible experience on top of being robbed. I know switched all my business to Hertz so sad because their counter service at enterprise was awesome. read more

We had a great experience with Enterprise at Grand Rapids Airport! We had a Hotwire deal and wanted to extend our rental period, but over the phone they all said it could not be done which meant we would have an unnecessary 5 hours of driving to return the car and re-rent it for another week! So once we arrived at the counter, they were willing to extend our rental for the entire trip at a great rate, which was such a relief! Then we ran into the manager (Aaron?) in the parking lot, who helped us find our car and even helped with our luggage! He showed us a few features of the car as well. When we returned the car to the airport, the return was super speedy. We needed help with our luggage, which took a long time, but we arrived early to allow plenty of time at the airport. (It was an airport employee I think - not Enterprise) The guy was great and we got to our gate on time so we were grateful for the help! I got to security and unpacked all my electronics etc. to go through security when I realized I had accidentally taken the rental keys with me since you don't need them to turn off the car! I panicked knowing I was going to miss my flight if I had to go all the way back to Enterprise, not to mention I would have to pack up all my stuff to take it with me! So I called Enterprise and Allison offered to run over to get the keys from me! That is why I love Enterprise! They not only pick you up, but they also pick up the keys to save the day! I am so grateful to everyone at Enterprise!!! read more

If I could give zero stars I would do that because these people don't even deserve one star. We rented from Greensburg Pennsylvania and that was a great experience but we dropped off in Michigan and paid a hefty drop fee. This is fine we knew ahead of time. My issue is we dropped the car off at 4:15 am. We put the keys in the metal box. Once inside my husband realized he left his phone in the cup holder. We were flying to California. They are closed until 9 am. Our hands were tied and there was nothing we could do. Once our flight landed in L.A he called Enterprise. Unfortunately didn't get the name of the first guy who said he would go to the place they wash the cars a mile away and call him back. He never called. My husband then called and spoke to a Tim who said again he would check and call He NEVER called back. Who does that???? He then called the 800 number and spoke to an Angelica who did a report for our issue but unfortunately told us to call in the am. We called and called. The line says we're busy and hangs up on you. Again my husband called 7/9/17 for the 4th time and spoke to another person jasmine who told him once again to call the Enterprise location. He called and again no answer. The phone was in the car so when they found it why would they not look up our contract and call us, my number was an alternate number. We would even pay the shipping fee. This is my husbands business phone and he needs it. This is the worst customer service experience and we won't be renting from Enterprise ever. They have my phone number it was in the contract and then my husband has given it to four Enterprise employees. I'm pretty frustrated. I would think twice about renting from this location. UPDATE: The regional manager called and took the complaint. My husband called Michigan and they had the phone but never called us. They are supposed to overnight it. We paid for it but have not received the confirmation e-mail. I just hope he gets the phone. Chris I have emailed all this information. He is supposed to receive the phone today. When researching a rental to drive to North Carolina and back, I researched a full size ("Camry or similar") and a compact SUV ("Nissan Rogue or similar"). Because both classes of vehicle were the same price $293/week,(https://www.enterprise.com/en/reserve.html#cars) $480 and change for 9 days, I decided on the Rogue (or something similar), simply because I've never driven an SUV of any kind. The Chevy Trax that they gave me was very uncomfortable. I decided to see if I could exchange it for a sedan. They said yes. Then I saw the back seat... complete with a dirty child booster seat and food crumbs all over. I checked the trunk and found a partially empty water bottle. I also found a ticket for a local parking garage above the visor. The car clearly hadn't been cleaned. Now, most people would raise a fuss and ask for a discount or an upgrade. I just wanted a clean, comfy car and asked for the Camry ("... or something similar"). I got it... but for $597 and change. I told the gentleman that the prices on the website were the same for both vehicles. He wouldn't budge. I didn't push. I just left with the Camry. I've rented cars for business and have never had any issues whatsoever. So this left me kind of bummed out about the whole situation. I'm not hard to please and choose to see the up side of almost any situation. But this still bugs me... and I've been home for almost two weeks. So I finally decided to leave a review... the most negative one I've ever given. I even RE-researched the costs to make sure that I didn't remember the cost wrong. I didn't. And for over $100 more than I'd expected, I'll likely end up calling someone in upper management about this. read more

Got a car January 4 at Enterprise, Grand Rapids airport. No one in lot. Found the car covered with salt, and ice on the back window. Inside of car smelled like cigarettes. it was cold that day, but as we drove 10 miles we saw three car washes open and crowded. Called to report the cigarette smell, but was given a dummy phone number. Tried another number, long phone menu, lots of waiting to report the problem. No apology for dirty, smelly car. I used to rely on Enterprise, but I next time I will shop for a rental car at Kayak and will try other companies. read more

I have rented vehicles from this location frequently. I've read a number of the other reviews, especially the negative ones, and I'm a little surprised. I can be a cranky old man and I expect at least decent customer service and I've never had a problem here. The counter location is determined by the airport. All rental car companies are in the same location. I use a debit card with a return itinerary and I've never had an issue. I rented a vehicle over the holidays and got an AWD Chevy that I was very satisfied with. Decent mileage, Held the road well on ice and snow. Dropped the keys at the counter and made my flight. Checked the charge on my card and it was correct. No problems. Sorry some of you had such tough times. read more

I will say I did contact Enterprise after they contacted me through yelp, and I provided them all the information they requested. Approx 2-weeks later I get a letter in the mail that Enterprise is dropping the claim that they were pursuing against me. It very much seems that thanks to Yelp a difference was made, as it seems those that I was reaching out to with my phone calls were going to help me. I'm so glad and feel great that this matter is behind me, as it is a blow to one self to be accused of something that you know you didn't do and in this case almost getting stuck paying for something you shouldn't be paying for. Enterprise has become my "go to" car rental company here in the States and when I travel back to the UK. Without exception I always find my experiences at Enterprise to be a good one and this was no different at Grand Rapids. Lengthy line at the counter when I arrived. Only one person working the counter. That person had to go out and find my car as there was no one out in the garage area. Had difficulty connecting the bluetooth, had to go back into the facility and request help. Had to wait for the one person at the counter to free up time to assist me. We were successful in connecting the bluetooth. I normally have good experience with Enterprise. but this was less than acceptable. read more

A great experience at the Grand Rapids airport. Our flight was due in at 15 minutes past midnight. The posted Enterprise rental counter hours end at midnight so we planned on needing a cab to take us to our hotel and a shuttle back to the airport the next day to pick up the car. When our flight got in I walked immediately over to the Enterprise counter just to see if anyone might still be around. It turns out they waited for our flight to get in. Not only were we able to pick up the car right then we upgraded to a Toyota 4-runner that was available. We really liked the larger SUV and hat made for a really terrific trip. We've only started renting from Enterprise in the past few months and the customer service has been awesome. read more

I rent from Enterprise in Grand rapids about 8 times a year. I travel from California for business and pleasure. The staff at the GR location have always treated me well. If something isn't right (very rare) they don't argue, they fix it. I'm in the area enough that I have considered buying a car and leaving it there, but Enterprise GR makes it so easy and relatively affordable that I just keep renting from them. read more

I will start by saying that the only reason they got a "2" is because of the amazingly helpful and nice people that assisted us in the parking lot when picking up and dropped off the car. Other than that, this was an awful experience. First of all, the quote I received of around $50 (this was for one day), ended up being over $80. They had signed me up for some insurance that I didn't even need nor ask for. Then, I called to complain and was told that I would be receiving a credit. Nope. The next day, it showed up on my bank account that they not only charged me the $80 AGAIN, they also charged me a separate charge of $70 and NO credits! So, a $40 rental, has turned into a $150 and they can't seem to be able to figure out what happened. No one has called me back about it either. read more

Review of two rentals. Please READ BOTH For the Full STORY. I WILL RENT AGAIN and COMPARE.......I arrived at the Gerald FOrd Airport at 11PM on 2-16-15 and the agent had one client in front of me. When I got to the counter the agentm saw I was in a minivan and offered an Explorer. I accepted and he was insistant I let him retrieve the car and bring it to the door, I found that the explorer had FLORIDA TAGS, (((4X2))) Oh well nice car. The car showed signs of the horrible snow year that is 2015, but clean inside.. Rental and turn in before opening went well. THis was my FIRST Enterprise airport rental. THIS RENTAL WAS A 5 STAR. MY Second trip to Grand Rapids was not quite like the last.. My flight was late arriving 5 minutes before the counter closed. I wated for the agent and checked in. I was told I had a choice of a red or blue Hyundai Elantra. I reserved a standard car, not sure where the Elantra fits in though. I went to the garage and found my car. The windows were filthy. This car did not even have the windows wiped when it came in. Thre was no precipitation that night and no excuse for a check in parking attendant not to at least DO THE WINDOWS. I stopped at a gas station and cleaned them myself. We had snow each day, the elentra handles poorly in snow. I did not check tires but the car had 19,000 miles. tHIS RENTAL ALSO COST $58.00 MORE FOR THE same period from the same location, BUT ONE WEEK LATER ENTERPRISE MUST PRACTICE THE SAME PRICE POINT MARKETING AS THE OTHER 3. Staff were totally dismissive and disinterested, and offered absolutely no support to help get me to the right location or allow me to take a car from them. Excellent in all regards. I rent about 35 cars a year in cities across the USA, usually for 3-5 weekdays but sometimes weekends and occasionally for a month or more. Counter personnel at pickup suggested a 4WD upgrade because of snowstorm approaching, which turned out to be an outstanding choice on our return to GRR. They honored the initial Hotwire super deal and the upgrade was just a few dollars. Upon our return we were running very late up against our departing flight time (3 hour drive was nearly 6 hours in blinding lake-effect snowstorm with multiple cars in ditches) and they rushed us right through. Wish all rental locations for all rental companies were so helpful. read more

Due to a mix up, I didn't make my Hotwire car reservation until I was at the airport. The rate was half of what Enterprise was going to charge me directly. The agent decided to punish me for causing them to lose money. She told me I was considered a walk-up and therefore they could give me whatever was available. This ended up being a Dodge Ram 1500 extended cab pickup truck instead of the mid-size I ordered. Good thing I'm tall because this truck didn't even have a running board and I could barely climb up into the seat. Was horrible to have to park too. On a good note, the truck was new and very clean. read more
