Can you believe I'm 35 & just now having my first rental car experience? Last weekend I hit something on the interstate & needed body work on my beloved J-Dub. Luckily, this location is nearby the dealership. Someone came & picked me up from there. My first impressions were: wow, this is really small & I didn't notice many cars available. The staff is friendly, but I was not happy about handing over my credit card for a $25 "hold" fee. I guess this is more for incidentals. However, any fees / charges (with the exception of gas / mileage / extra insurance) was supposed to be handled through my insurance. The paperwork process was pretty quick. Sadly, the associate told me all they had to offer me was a mini-van. Really? I had expressed over the phone yesterday it was just me & I just needed a small car. Upon getting into the vehicle, the associate tells me, "oh, there's only a 3/8s of a tank of gas in here, so if you bring it back on empty, that's ok". Also, while the car was somewhat clean, it could have been cleaner. I was thankful he didn't pressure me with the extra insurance pitch. Taking the car back & "checking out" was a quick process. And yes, they took me back to the dealership to get my car. read more

I guess this review is more for the corporate/internet service than this particular location. I was in urgent need of a rental car and made a reservation through their website. No problem, my car would be ready at 8:00 am when they opened in the morning. I was ready to go get the car and my Lyft driver was in the driveway ready to take me there. As I was about to leave I received a phone call saying that there were actually no cars available. So now I had to send the Lyft driver away and start cancelling my appointments for the day. Very upsetting to say the least. read more

I have always had positive experiences with renting from Enterprise whether if it is back in NYC or now in NC. Love the concept that they pick you up and with great customer service I might add. Especially, when your automobile is in auto shop for repairs or you are out of town and have no access to wheels. If you by an airport, that is a whole other ball of wax cause there are shuttles to get you to the rental places which are close by the airport. But what if you are not situated by an airport then you are out of luck and cabs can be so costly. The cars that we have rented from here have never had any issues and they are well maintained. I was transferred here from the Northlake location because what I reserved was not available. Upon getting here, they couldn't find my reservation, they were extremely unorganized. I was told that the people that came in after me would have to go first before I was able to be helped. I was already sitting in there for about 45 minutes. The black guy behind the counter was extremely understanding and helpful. After being told by this other dude guy named Matte, that he would look into it for me. He then came up to me and told me that he would not let me rent the truck that was offered because I was not patience and was not respectful when he told me that I would have to wait to be helped until he helps those individuals that came in after I did. Mind you, he didn't know if these people had a reservation or if they were a walk in. Matte should not be working there because he was not respectful to his co-workers either. The black guy was being more helpful to all of us and trying to help us to the best of his ability but Matte just kept telling him to do something else instead of helping me. read more

Used this location a few times when I am getting work done on my car. Not my choice as this is who our fleet company works through. I am not a huge fan as they seem to be very disorganized. Whether it is getting processed coming in or going out, just doesn't seem really smooth. Not much more to report as again I have used them a few times. Cars are maintained and are in good working order. I don't need a lot but if things improved it would be much appreciated. read more

I've rented 1 car every holiday for over a decade and never have I been turned away. Let alone WITH RESERVATION ON CHRISTMAS EVE. Absolutely negligent on part of the phone operator. I tried calling for someone to pick me up bc the website told me my appointment for pick up was at 12pm. Well I don't know how that can be when this location closes at 12pm. I've rented from this location a few times and each time it was very disappointing. The last was this summer when I was given a Ford (I think Focus). I drove it 3.5 hours each way to the beach in SC and the car shook pretty badly every single time I accelerated. Every. Single. Time. With a 7-hr round trip, it was pretty awful. Not to mention I was worried about breaking down the entire 2 days when I should have been having fun. In addition, the car had a very rancid, sour milk smell and the seats had stains all over them. Upon returning the car, I mentioned the shaking and the Manager very non-chalantly tells me this is a known issue (in a tone like I should know this) with Ford's and their transmissions and that it's totally normal, which is not true in the slightest. I rent cars all of the time due to not currently owning one and have actually been pretty impressed with the Ford models these days. Never once had an issue even remotely in this area. After sensing that I wasn't buying what she was selling me, I was offered a 10% discount "next time" I rent from Enterprise. Where's is my crying/laughing emoji when I need it (insert here). Like I would want to rent from them again after this experience. And a whole $6 off which I have to rent from them again to use. Couldn't believe they even offered this...as in I'd rather not be offered anything. After I mentioned that it would be much more appropriate for me to receive this discount off the CURRENT rental at hand, the employee had to check with a Manager who reluctantly agreed to let him apply it to the current rental. So I think we're done and as he's totaling me up, I notice that he did not in fact give me the discount that was offered. I forget the actual total but I had to point out that it didn't add up to the 10% and they acted like I was some greedy mongrel for even asking. So offer me a discount and very shadily do not actually apply the entire amount. The Manager came over and very abruptly said she just gave me another $10 off or something to that effect to help "settle" it. Guess we're keeping score here. This place is terrible. I only went back after the first couple of times due to the convenience of the location but I just discovered there is one in Cornelius that I will try instead if I am desperate again. In the 3 times I have rented here, the cars were old, needed maintenance and were not clean at all. Lastly, VERY heavy insurance sales pitch, which I find so incredibly tacky. They must make a lot off of selling insurance. I tried to tell them that my credit card covers car insurance and was pretty much argued with about the fact that you have to pay for any damage up front and wait for reimbursement in a very rude and condescending way. read more

We rented a small car for our trip to Florida (which we were leaving for today) at the Enterprise in Statesville yesterday, but after realizing that we had too much luggage for a sedan, we decided to check around and see where we could find a large SUV. The Huntersville Enterprise told us on the phone they had a Suburban, but after getting caught in traffic on our way we arrived a few minutes after noon, the time they closed. Even though they were technically closed, the staff at this Enterprise were so friendly and understanding of our situation and we were able to get a quick, easy rental. We were very satisfied with the service we were provided at this location. Erica was a total professional and very helpful. This was our second experience at this location - the prior one was for a quick day rental while our car airbag was being replaced by Honda. The gentleman we dealt with that day (can't remember his name) was also very pleasant and helpful. He picked us up and also took us back to the dealership - no problem. We will be renting again in a few weeks and Erica has been helpful in checking on that reservation as well. It is nice to know we can depend on a service in this often frustrating area of travel. For my recent trip to Florida, I had the pleasure of working with Jillian for my rental at the Huntersville Enterprise. This location is very convenient for me, as it is far enough away from the airport that I do not have to deal with all that horrible traffic, plus with their pick-you-up service, it is convenient for me to leave my personal vehicle at home. Jillian handled my rental with great precision, was very friendly and personable, and a joy to deal with. I was also offered some very affordable upgrades, which on a long road trip really do make the difference between a comfortable journey and a hellish nightmare. Thankfully I had the comfortable journey. My paperwork was handled quickly and efficiently, and even the return was handled with ease. I have a second trip in 3 more weeks, and I have already reserved another vehicle at this location. read more

After dealing with a nightmare of a body shop, I was so relieved when I came to enterprise. My car was being repaired in Salisbury and I was having insurance issues when I arrived to enterprise. As soon as I walked in the door, Wyatt greeted me and was quick to help. After telling him about my insurance issues, he got on the phone to solve the problem. There was a mix up for which I will take some blame. The phone number on my reservation was wrong, belonged to a friend which is ironic and why I'll take some blame. They called this individual about the reservation, not speaking to me, again my fault. The tried to accommodate me but given the situation, I asked, politely for a better price. The person helping me called her manager, who was in an offsite training session, then came out and told me they would not rent to me!! I was too dumbfounded to do anything at that time as I needed vehicles that evening. I did manage to get something from the Enterprise in Cornelius. I did speak with the manager the next day who did his best to explain what happened but still did nothing to remedy what happened the night before. I'm with a large group that rents vehicles fairly regularly and we most likely won't ever rent from this location again. read more

I am a Enterprise Plus member and have been renting from Enterprise for 10 years. I have rented from this location twice and both times their computers were down, making everyone wait about 30 minutes. After that, they decided to do the rental the old fashion way, with paper. They took my card information and off i went on my way. The last time I rented from here, I called 2 hours before my schedules time to make sure they had my car available. They said yes, so i went over. When I got there, (10 minutes) they told me they had no cars.. They were waiting for customers to return cars, but no one did. I waited 45 minutes before the sent me to Charlotte, 20 minutes away to get a car. I had a deadline and had to skip a meeting to make my second appointment. They compensated me 5%, wow, $1.85 on a one way rental worth 280.00. The 5% was off the daily rate, not the total rental. Enterprise knows that they are the only game in town, and it shows. All other branches that i have rented from were great. Suggestion: If you run out of cars, or don't have returns come in, call the customer and re-direct them to a different office. read more

I have seen many staff changes over the years; however the excellent customer service remains a consistent quality of this branch office. The convenient location prompted my initial use for personal rentals however the friendly and highly professional staff made me convert from a competitor rental agency to Enterprise for both personal and business use. read more

I made a reservation for an SUV that the website specifically said this location has. I have a very extremely important appointment. I get to Enterprise and they look at me like I'm crazy. "We don't have anything. They were the least accommodating. I was left with no car to rent even though I specifically reserved a car they said they had. My opportunity was ruined and thus my life was impacted very hard from this. read more

We recently moved from the Huntersville area to New England, and needed to rent a van for the "stuff" that needed to go with us on the road. My husband was concerned about whether we'd really get a van with the "stow and go" seating, so I went by the office to ask. The agent on duty SHOWED me the van and demonstrated how the seating worked, so we were reassured. On the day of the move, I used the "we'll pick you up" option since one of our cars *yes, really) was IN the moving truck. The pickup in NC as well as the dropoff in our new home was smooth, and we got a follow-up e-mail the day after using the night drop to return to car to verify that all was well and the paperwork was complete. We've used this NC location of Enterprise over the past 8 years and have always been treated well. The location near our new home seems to be following their example. read more

The only reason I was even in the Cornelius location was because the Denver location gave away the car that they told me was my rental after I had to go home to get the utility bill I had forgot. Then they said they had no cars and that none of their locations had cars. The girl had a bad "don't give a rats butt" attitude and said we should look at another rental company. Feel free to read my review of the Denver Enterprise location for the full story! FYI, Hertz car rental is right next door to Enterprise in Cornelius! I had called Hertz and they had cars to rent that day! But anyway....I went to the Cornelius location because Talisa was working there that day. We usually rent from Talisa in the Denver location with no problems. We love Talisa and she remembers her clients! After a short wait, Talisa got us a vehicle to rent! The whole debacle took up a hour and a half of my precious pre-trip time and I was leaving on my trip in a few hours. Anyway, I don't know much about anyone else in the Cornelius office, but Talisa is the girl to see if you want no problems renting! I have never ever had a problem renting when I dealt with Talisa! I gave only 3 stars because the Denver office had no cars and I had to wait at Cornelius for a car. BUT, I give Talisa a 5+ stars!!! read more

Called this location before rental to see what the difference in which card i used.They said rental plus 200 deposit on bank card.Was never told they would put the hole rental plus deposit on credit card.Ok that's fine used bank card.Later that night my account was at zero they ran my card twice. Luckily they voided it that night because it was only showing one withdraw in the morning. They new it happened and never called to say they made a mistake. Talked to a couple people from their office days later didn't amount to anything. Last call was from assistant manager he says maybe my bank took it twice wow. Will never use this branch if any enterprise location. read more

I scheduled for a pick up, but received a phone call just prior to the scheduled pick up time saying they cannot send out anyone to pick me up and I have to wait for another 30 minutes before anyone is available. They pointed out that they called an hour earlier but I did not answer my phone. So the scheduled pick up time really is for reference only. Another time I had to deal with the same company I returned my car early, but it was on a Sunday. So I was charged for a whole day on Sunday. The only reason I rent car from this company is because of the price. Other than that, don't count on the service. read more

THIEF EMPLOYEES AND DISGUSTING CAR. Yes, that is what you will get when you visit this Huntersville Enterprise -- EMPLOYEES WHO STEAL. My husband went to pick up the rental car, when he arrived the car was absolutely disgusting, dog hair everywhere, stains all over the seats, and sticky liquid all over the center console. He asked the associate, Ryan, if there were any other cars because this one was not clean, only to have him reply, "This is all we have". My husband took the car (Unfortunately, I was not there to voice my opinion on how that was unacceptable.) We returned the car, and a few hours later received a phone call that my husband had left his wallet in the car. I was so relieved that they found it and immediately went to pick it up. When my husband returned home from work I told him about his wallet and as he was going through it noticed that several high end store gift cards were missing with over $200 on them. I immediately called Enterprise and spoke with the store Manager, Nathan, who said he would talk to his employees and call me right back. Well, as anticipated no one owned up to taking the items. It's funny though, you would think the person who found the wallet would know something...well nobody even owned up to finding the wallet even though it was sitting in their garage on a counter (found by the manager). This tells me something about the employees...OBVIOUSLY SOMEONE IS LYING, IF NO ONE WILL EVEN ADMIT TO FINDING THE WALLET. I called corporate and filed a complaint, I then received a phone call from the Regional Manager, Mark Frazier, who assured me he would pay a visit to that store the next Monday and do his own investigation. Well, that was over a week and half ago and still no phone call from Mark. I've called corporate 2 additional times to let them know that no one has contacted me to resolve this. This is just awful customer service and overall disrespect for the customer, especially when stealing was involved. I'm in awe of Enterprise for not following up with me and resolving this issue. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. read more
