After I returned the car, Enterprise (while detailing the car) discovered the item and when I called they assured me they had it in safekeeping. It could have been a holiday problem. I came in with my license address and current address different, and staff has policy not allowing me to rent which I understood (even though, I rented from enterprise when I was 22 in Florida with the same situation). My friend who has the same license address and home address, had no explanation for being turned down. I rented a car via Priceline, and had to use this location because it was one of the few open on a Sunday. Everything went smoothly on Priceline, but it was a different story when I got to Enterprise. It was below 50 degrees outside, and misting rain. Their lobby is COMPLETELY CLOSED to customers. They had 5 customers (including me) standing outside in the poor weather. I arrived at 11:20am for a 12:00 pickup, and they didn't get my car until 12:09. That's a long time to stand outside in the cold, wind, and misting rain. They asked about my insurance, which I also purchased via Priceline (from Allianz) at the time I rented the car. They tried to tell me that this insurance was not valid in Indiana, which was a complete lie. I have used this insurance every time I have rented a car from them (usually at a location closer to my home), and never had a problem. The employee went back inside, then came out with along explanation about how "it will be ok this time," but I might have to pay out of pocket if something happens, blah blah blah. Completely wrong. I purchased insurance, had full coverage, and had email confirmation of it with a policy number. I think he was going to press me to buy their insurance instead, but stopped when he realized I knew what I was talking about. They finally got a car for me, but it was not the standard-size car that I had reserved. Instead, it was a BMW 330i. Great car, but he said they would have to charge me for the upgrade. Ummm- NO! It's not my fault that they could not provide what I rented! Any upgrade should be free if they can't provide the car I reserved, but they were going for the upcharge. After some discussion he only charged 51 cents for the upgrade, which I wasn't going to argue about because I was already behind schedule and freezing/ wet from standing outside for 50 minutes due to their closed lobby. Once I got on the road, the car was great. The heated seats were really nice since I was cold and wet. When I returned the car the next day, it was pretty easy to get the car checked back in. I'm still suspicious about the attempted insurance and the "upgrade" charge because this has never happened to me anywhere else. I won't be using this location anymore. If you are going to close your lobby on a cold and rainy day, then you should communicate this to your customers before they get dropped off to pick up their vehicle. I understand places taking precautions because of COVID, but they could easily have let 2-3 customers inside at a time. There is no reason to conduct all business outdoors on a cold and rainy day, especially when it takes over 50 minutes to get customers into a car. read more

I've been renting almost every weekend since Aug 2023 because my car is having a mid life crisis. The staff is great, always accommodates me the best they can and fix any issues that arise. My only issue is the new policy where you cannot drop off your rental to a drop box after closing. I can deal with the $300 deposit that was just increased but the new drop off policy is going to end our relationship unfortunately. I hope corporate understands that raising prices and inconveniencing the customer at the same time is probably not the best. Sending love to the staff! Corporate, have the day you deserve. Had the misfortune of my car breaking down while on a road trip recently. Got it towed to the Honda dealership down the street from this location, and Honda helped connect me with Enterprise so I could get a rental and continue my trip since my car couldn't be repaired immediately. They adjusted the price and also when I brought it back bc it didn't have any window washer fluid. I will not be returning to this Enterprise location. During my time, I received two cars that both smelled like someone had chain smoked in them for years. The first car was so bad that by the time I got to work my throat was sore and I had a headache. The second car was bearable, but still smelled like a febreze covered ash tray. I went here a few weeks ago and it was horrible but the manager was nice. Today I picked up another vehicle and was scolded by the manager. He said "make sure you bring the car back in the same condition you brought it in" when the last car I got wasn't even cleaned. Rude service from everyone there when I asked what was taking so long (45 min) the worker then told me "I work out in the heat all day" if you don't want do your job then get another one. There are so many jobs out there. This place is terrible. I accidentally booked here again on Priceline. Very disappointing. This time I'm not ever coming back. Conner helped us check in and did a thorough walk around with us. He was very efficient in straightening everything out since we had a little confusion in the rate. He was polite and professional. Won't be back to his location. Two stars for actually having a car for me when I got there. The rest was downhill from there. Stood in line for nearly 20 minutes, got the car, it was on E, so that was not time I had planned for after having to wait on them. Already late, noticed the car had potato chips in the cracks of the seat. Next, the associate came out to tell me he had a problem with his tablet so he needed me to go with him down the street to the other location to take care of it. Guess what? Not my problem! You already swiped my card, now you need to have me wait because you don't trust I am legit even though we just reviewed all of my credentials? Fast forward another 20 minutes until they got it fixed. Almost an hour later I was on the road and still had to fill up. Thanks for making me late enterprise! Returned it today and got to listen to a female associate arguing with a male customer. It was so loud I couldn't even hear the person helping me. I have rented vehicles from this Enterprise location three times over the past few months and have been very happy with the quality of service and the associates that I have worked with. The last time I rented, we had an unexpected issue with the vehicle that was entirely out of Enterprise's control. The associates acted quickly and went above and beyond to rectify the situation and get me back on the road. Recently i rented a car from enterprise for four weeks. During that time i had two seperate cars, both were smoked in and smelled like a ash tray. This review is coming from a nonsmoker. Because the cars were smoked in the windows had a haze over them on the inside. Inorder to have clear sight i cleaned the inside and outside of the windows. I rent a vehicle 4-5 times a year and I always search Enterprise first. I have had issues, mainly the car not being as clean as it should be, but they always take care of any issues I've had. The people at this location are always very friendly and willing to work with you. The last time I rented was in April and I wanted a specific minivan. The gentleman took me around and we looked at 3 or 4 until I found the one I wanted. At other places, they bring me a van and say this is what we have. Ty, one of the associates, and Gene, the manager at this Enterprise location have been very helpful! My car unexpectedly needed service at the dealership last week, and I needed a rental car; the dealership called Enterprise to pick me up. Ty helped me, but didn't have a similar size car to what I own on hand at the time, so I took what they had available, and told him if the warranty work was approved on my car (long repair), I'd need to get in a bigger car. Welp--I had an awesome experience! Booking, pickup and drop off were easy. Great customer service. My minivan was awesome (if only my husband would agree that we should actually buy a minivan...), and we had a great vacation! Their gas rates were $2.25--which is awesome. I picked up at the 9799 location and dropped off downtown Indy. The only person that was less than pleasant was whomever answered the phone when I asked if I could drop the car off a few hours later than I booked it for. She smugly replied "sure for an extra days' charge." But, whatever, maybe she was having a bad day. Needless to say I figured out a way to not drop it off late (hence the downtown drop off). Completely unsatisfied with my experience at this Enterprise location. Booked online through Priceline. Showed up, reservation was on the iPad, but NO car available for me. Come to find out, Priceline just lets people book without connecting with the Enterprise location to see if they are available. Woman recommended we go to another location - which was CLOSED. Completely baffled. Cannot understand what company would use a booking agency like Priceline knowing that cars may not be available to customers. Not to mention, no parking available and limited staff. Man in front of me at the counter was turned away because they didn't accept his major credit card, his cash, or his company card. I've rented twice at this location, and both times I had problems with the rental car. The first one, a plastic piece was hanging from under the car and they tried to say it was caused by me. Which I informed them that I called back the same day I rented the car to inform them of that problem but the person I spoke to failed to add that information. Then when I got one block from dropping off the car I blew a tire. I changed it myself and drop off the car and called customer service and was informed that since I already drop the keys off then it was fine and they will take care of it. But again they tried to make me pay for a new tire without reading the information that she did add in the screen. Since they was not able to get me for those two issues they charged me $150 because they smelled smoke in the car. Now mind you I had to go clean the car myself because it wasn't cleaned when I picked it up. On my second rental I had to make an 8 hour drive with no way of keeping my cell phone charged because the lighter didn't work. Sp we had to stop a few times to super charge our phones and that made the trip longer than expected. So when I had to call to see when I would get my deposit back they then said the next time I decide to rent they will quote me the same price on whatever care I select. That will get them one more rental from me but then I'm going to pay extra and deal with the same location as I've have in the pass. read more
