Came out to my rental car yesterday morning to find a big crack in the windshield. I didn't do anything to cause this. It just appeared. I'm a Platinum member with a business account, and this is hands down the worst Enterprise location I've ever dealt with. For 14 days straight, they kept telling me they would call me back about a vehicle switch and never once did. I had to call them every time, and half the time I'd be on hold for 30+ minutes or they would just answer and hang up. Completely unprofessional. What makes it worse is they have a full staff every time I walk in, yet the service is still slow, unorganized, and careless. I even made a reservation a full week in advance, and when I showed up, they still had no vehicles available. Not for rentals and not for switch-outs. They told me to come in for a switch, so I drove 30 minutes, just to be told the car was already sold. A total waste of time and gas. I've used Enterprise for years, and this location is the only one that consistently disappoints. If I were you, go to ANY other Enterprise location but this one. Trust me -- you'll thank me if you read this first. read more

I went to enterprise in Melbourne on whickam rd they were unwilling to work with me from the get go even with the right paperwork. Had to uber from Melbourne to the Jacksonville location cost me 250$ to get there only for them to approve me for a rental with the same exact paperwork. Great guys here! read more

Very grateful for the awesome service from Connor and Keyon who took really good care of us at this Enterprise location while were in need of a pickup truck on our move here in town before the Hurricane warning. They were very busy that weekend and were almost out of the full-size truck that we needed to haul the big stuff, they were able to secure a Full-size Dodge Truck that fits well for the load we carried. I book a one way rental from the Enterprise location at the Avenues back in December for a very important trip in April. Last night I checked my Enterprise app on my phone. They cancelled my reservation without ever sending me a notice. I called right away to rebook and was told no rentals available at any Jacksonville location. I called the main number and twice agents tried to book different cities for me and twice I had to cancel their sloppy work. I have called three times asking for a supervisor to call me back and no one did. I went then and booked a reservation at Avis. It was $20 more but I needed a reservation. I am a long time National Elite member and Enterprise Plus member. I guess I will start using other companies. I believe they were short on cars and just cancelled me. Wasn't even welcoming at all. I called in advance to give specific requests. And came to the office, they didn't know anything AT ALL about the requests. keep in ur mind, i called more than twice. Especially being a deaf person, usually get advantage of.. They surely did. Had better experience than this lousy spot with so many workers that constantly gives lousy attitude generally. also had to change the vehicles a few times due to the requests i asked. Bottom line, there was huge miscommunication maybe but regardless they should make it work and be able to accommodate with me. read more

This was the second time I used Enterprise on Phillips Hwy. They have great customer service. I worked with Cody both times and each time I was given a new car that was clean and smelled great. Mid way through the rental I received a call just to check everything was going well. Again Great Customer Service. I will definitely use these folks again! I highly recommend them. read more

I've had to use Enterprise several times now for a rental due to a car accident. The staff is friendly and has been easy to work with throughout each of my experiences so far. I've been working with Paul each time. He is absolutely fantastic!! He is quick yet thorough when inspecting the car and explaining the process/insurance/options. He is very kind and helpful throughout the renting process. Both rentals I had were very clean and smelled new! I was happy with both of them. Since I wasn't familiar with the push button start, Rick guided Me through it. Today when I returned my rental As soon as I walked through the door. Rick waited on Me again. I have always been a fan of enterprise, at any location I have been to. I am always greeted and offered friendly service. The prices aren't bad when you book directly with them. I used the company a lot when I lived in the mountains. I would rent trucks to get over the passes in the winter. Recently I rented a truck to move some stuff in town. Their prices are better than renting a truck or van through Uhaul or Home Depot and you get the truck for longer. I also appreciate that they offer to pick you up or take you home. Check in is always easy and instead of just assigning you a car, they give you a couple of options within the same category. Returning a vehicle is just as easy and I have had no issues. This location is very conveniently located on Phillips Highway off 295. I do wish they had some better parking choices for leaving your personal car but that is really my only issue. I will be returning as I continue to move. read more

Normally I rent through Avis but I needed a large 4 wheel drive vehicle for my trip up north into the snow and they were out of stock. Enterprise showed that they had them available so I booked a Chevy Suburban (or similar) through them. I called the day before informing them that I needed a Suburban with 4 wheel drive. They told me that they couldn't guarantee it but would do their best. They would also call me in the morning to confirm that they have the vehicle. I got the call in the morning telling me that they had a vehicle for me. When I got there, they had a large Ford Expedition ready for me. But after the inspection of the vehicle, I discovered that it wasn't a 4wd version. I told them that this was a deal breaker. We went back inside. To the credit of the people there, they called around and found another Expedition with 4wd. After nearly 2 hours at the location, the vehicle arrived and passed my inspection. After I left the location, it started to rain. That is when I found out that the wipers were in very poor condition. So I stopped at a local auto parts store to replace them. Off on our trip to the snowy cold north. When we got near our location, it was snowing. I was glad we had a 4wd vehicle. But the washer fluid froze up. My only recourse was to throw some snow on to the windshield. Thankfully I was able to use someone's garage to let the SUV defrost. I was then able to drain off the old washer fluid and replace it with better fluid. When I got back to the Enterprise location, I informed them of my difficulties. The local Enterprise person did adjust my bill to my satisfaction. read more

I'm currently in one Enterprises rental cars; a breadbox Hyundai that they call an upgraded SUV. Last week I had to take my car to the shop to be repaired and my insurance company made me use Enterprise. I made the mistake of taking the damage wavier at $18.11 a day when I picked up the car; being mislead that I needed this coverage because my insurance would not cover it, only later to find out that my insurance policy does cover rental car damage. I authorized my debit card for the daily charge, but after the first day instead of charging for one day they charged for a block of days causing my checking account to go into the negative while I was waiting on money to transfer over from savings to cover any additional days; which in turn my bank charged me 2 NSF fees ($72.00). I called to complain and tell them I thought they were charging per day, but they were like "your insurance has approved more days so we charged for future days." I asked about cancelling the insurance and was told I had to physically come in to cancel. I let it ride and came in to cancel before the next billing; which I thought was good enough. I guess not; because on the day that I signed the cancellation paperwork for the damage wavier they charged me for another block of days that night. I had to call my bank and ask them to do something about it; that these payments were not authorized by me. Hopefully my bank is going to be able to get back all of the money for me. I just know that they will not be getting a new card to charge on while I have their rental. I'll leave it here for now and do an updated review once I'm done with Enterprise. read more

I got in an accident last month and went through the other driver's insurance, which was geico, and enterprise was the car rental company covered by them. Jasmine was the one who handed me the keys to the rental and she was also the one I handed the keys back to when I was done with the rental after a week! I was given a brand new 2021 Nissan Versa! Jasmine was extremely sweet and personable and did a thorough check of the exterior of the car with me present so we could both inspect any previous damage before handing me the keys. They had a free shuttle to drive me to and from caliber collision where my car was being repaired, and that process was super easy with zero wait time! I'd definitely rent from them again! read more

I have now had to get a rental car from Enterprise on three occasions. Two accidents and my AC needing to be replaced. They will transport you to and from the Ford dealership across the street and that is super handy. I have not ever had a problem with customer service here, they are always really nice. Check in is a breeze, everything is explained to you up front and you are out of there in no time. I wish I remembered any of the staff members names that have helped me, I do remember that one of the guys is from the same area in Pa that I am. I had a Nissan sedan, a Chevy SUV and this recent time, I asked if there was any chance they had anything Ford available. I was in a nice clean Ford Escape right away. I am a Youth Pastor in our area and have had the WORST I repeat the WORST experience with this company. I scheduled and received confirmation to pick up a 15 pass van from store in Jacksonville Fl 10733 Philips Hyw. I spoke with Mgr Alex to be told that it was not avail. I have spoken to corporate and was told that a Regional Mgr would call and I have yet to receive a call. I currently have a trip scheduled for 7:30am with 30 youth and we now have no vehicle because your company dropped the ball. Went there to rent a car and had the worst experience. My address wasn't "verified in their system" so I was told to get 2 bills to verify my addres. I came back with my electric bill and my car insurance and those were not good enough because the electric bill "showed a balance". Of course it did that's why it's a BILL.‍ Wasn't able to rent the car there and had to go rent one from someone else. Also the employee who was "helping me" was very condescending and rude. He didn't even look at me and just seemed disinterested and wanted to leave as soon as he could. WES, branch manager, IS FANTASTIC in every aspect. He is the reason for my FIVE STAR rating. We have been loyal customers for many years, but would not have been back if it were not for him. He not only exemplifies what excellent customer service is, he cleans up the mess. Let me explain: Fortunately, for all customers, a particular woman is not working there now-- apparently promoted! OH NO! We avoid her, as did two other customers when we were there last week. She is very condescending, inflexible, and uncaring if any human problems arise and affect an arrival time. She seems to enjoy admonishing customers loudly and switching out reserved cars for crappy cars as punishment. I even hesitate to write this for concern of some form of sneaky retribution. Extremely friendly staff.. but a definitely push to get the added insurance. How many times do I have to say no? Apparently at least 3. The nice staff doesn't make up for the high prices and crappy cars. The first time I rented I had a tiny little 4 door Fusion (maybe? Something like that) the radio didn't work half the time and it stuttered every time I stopped at a light. Even when I mentioned it on drop off I just got a "oh, we should take that in to get looked at".. no sorry, no "hey, let me knock a few bucks off this FORTY DOLLAR rental car for you".. Nope. You know how much I paid at National last time? $18.92 for the day.. after tax. If the airport wasn't on the other side of creation I'd never rent from Enterprise. I will say the second time around Ford picked up my rental car and I was given a MUCH nicer car. Figures. read more

I rented a van last minute and Megan was very accommodating and friendly making sure I had the best setup for my trip. The pickup and drop off was quick and seamless. I highly recommend this location and I will be returning the next time I need a rental. Megan even remembered me after having the car for 2 full weeks. We paid for a 15-passenger van 6 weeks before our vacation. We were traveling with 22 family members and all their luggage and knew we needed to plan in advance for our rental car-- we did, they didn't. Hours of back and forth on the phone, empty promises, people walking out with the cars they had just offered us, and a lot of blaming corporate for overbooking. Just beware that even though you've ordered and paid for a specific service well in advance they take that pretty loosely. To be fair, this was not the fault of the people there at the desk. This is a problem with the company at corporate level overbooking vehicles they simply do not have- and even accepting money for vehicles they can't provide. The management here at this location finally helped us out after wasting hours of our vacation time waiting for them to pull their act together. read more

We had a wonderful experience. I am blind so a lot of places flat out refuse me service (which is illegal by the way), but not this Enterprise location. I always bring a driver with me when I rent a car for family vacations. It's usually one of my younger siblings or my husband from whom I am separated, who lives in another state and doesn't have a credit card. The point is that I am the one renting the car, but I have no intention of driving it. The staff is always so kind, getting all the paperwork together so we can rent the car with my credit card. They even waived the second driver fee so that it wouldn't cost me extra money because of the way I have to rent. I really appreciate it. Thank you so much Enterprise! Oh, and on another note, we got the collision coverage and maybe that is why they were so nice about our having to return the car with the donut spare on the front. This location is the best in Jacksonville! I live closer to the San Jose location, which should be closed in my opinion. However, I will pass them by and go to Philips Hwy. The staff is knowledgable, fast, friendly and efficient. They always have the car I reserve. It's clean and ready to go. I was there on Friday. Watch out these guys will double charge you and do nothing to help. I was charged on my credit card and deposit held on my debit card. I stopped to ask them when I got the receipt if I would get the full $250 back on my card. He said yes. I check my statement and they only refunded me back $195.62 I call them and ask about they say someone will call you back. I wait a few hours no one calls me so I head their and they are like don't know how that could have happened. Here's a phone number to call someone on Monday to deal with this. This pains me to leave a one star rating for this business, but quality of service has gone downhill. In the past, I've never had any issues with renting a vehicle here, but this visit today left a terrible taste in my mouth that will make us unlikely to rent from them again. Our sales associate or whatever he was, Brendan, was very pushy straight out the gate about selling their optional rental coverage for $25/day. I understand maybe they need to reach a quota or maybe they get a decent commission from any extra/add-on services, but when we tell you, "No thank you" at least 3 times, that should be obvious we aren't interested in getting whatever it is you're trying to sell. Period. What really irked me and infuriated me was that Brendan followed up with inappropriate and insulting questions about why we didn't want to buy the optional coverage. He asked questions like, "Why don't you want it? Is money an issue?" and "It's not a big deal for you to pay thousands of dollars in damage for a rental vehicle?" (My husband said it wasn't a big deal to get the insurance through them and he followed up with that rude question.) He also told us that our personal auto insurance company wouldn't pay for certain costs if the rental was damaged and wouldn't cover for loss of use, and that our credit card company wouldn't either. Really? He would know because he is more knowledgeable about our insurance policy than we are? He's read our insurance dec sheet and all the fine print of what's covered and what's not? He's also read the fine print for our credit card's rental coverage insurance and liability policy??? Nope. I know it's part of his job to try to sell it, but don't insult the customer's knowledge when they've told you they know that they're covered. I feel bad for the customers that aren't too familiar with how their insurance company covers them when they rent a vehicle and then get bullied and/or scared into buying useless coverage from Enterprise. Also, we reserved and paid for a full-sized sedan. When he was done "checking us in," before we headed out to get the car, he told us that a full-sized was not available and that they only had an intermediate-sized vehicle available at the moment. What terrible service to offer us a car that was one tier lower than what we reserved and paid for instead of offering us an upgrade and the option to pay for it. We told him we would wait for the full-sized car (because that's what we paid for!) and lo and behold, a full-sized was available when the associate next to him heard him say that to us. The car was also dirty (not detailed or even rinsed off at least.) I looked around the parking lot and saw a few other customers pick up their rental, detailed and clean-looking, but we had enough of Brendan so we just left instead of having to deal with being hassled again. I highly advise everyone to read your insurance policy (or even call your insurance company) to verify your coverage and then make an informed decision of buying optional coverage from Enterprise. That way you won't be cornered into getting something you most likely won't need. I will write an update about what happens or what they try to pull on us when we drop off our rental vehicle. read more

Renters beware....... Rented from here for a week to go on our honeymoon....... When getting the car they asked if we wanted their insurance we declined, we have our own.... When they gave us the car the guy walked around the car very fast and casually, OK looks good gave us keys, bye..... We took the car for the week had no issues, the car was mostly just parked while we were out exploring......now when we returned car was the issue...... The guy came out to the car to inspect it, I mean he literally walked the whole car carefully inspecting every inch..... Huh??? We almost laughed ...why are you looking so hard for something? Oh he finds a ding that is not even visible to the eye... You had to look from an angle to see slight ding from maybe a rock or a car ding.... And guess what because we didn't get their insurance they charged us $250 to fix this...... The branch manager, Alex Davis, was awful. The car I requested was not there. I was told they tried calling me and left a message at a wrong number not the number on my confirmation email. I explained that my phone number was updated and shows on the confirmation email but they said that their system was not updated with my phone number. I explained that as a customer I would not know that their system didn't show what is on the confirmation email. I was offered a car that was nothing close to what I requested. Specifically Alex said to me what do you want me to do because we don't have the car you want. I explained that at such late notice, I will have to try to locate another rental and then he offered to call the St. Augustine location but they didn't have a car available so Alex asked if I wanted the option that he had and I explained that his option was nowhere near what I requested. The clincher is the fact that Alex never offered an apology for the inconvenience and made me feel it was not their fault. The young lady who first assisted me was the one who offered an apology. I called customer service and was told that they should have emailed me. I had to go to Avis to resolve my issue. Jessica the regional manager followed up with me and stated that she would provide Alex the feedback. She did say that she found a car but of course, this was hours later and thankfully Avis was able to help me when I needed it. read more

Came here since they are listed as an insurance inspection site and I had just picked up a new policy for my car. I came here after work where I waited 25 minutes for someone (after watching about 4 people come in after me get taken care of). The guy who did my (2-minute) inspection filled out the form, gave me my copy, and told me they would fax a second copy to the insurance company (the third stays with them). They never faxed it over, resulting in me having comprehensive taken off of my insurance policy. If they can't handle sending a fax, I don't know that I would ever trust them for a car rental. read more
