I was given the wrong vehicle this morning after requesting/booking a full size SUV. The vehicle I was given made me very car sick. It had a weird odor to it and it was not drivable in my opinion. I have a 5 hour drive ahead of me so I called around to see if I could swap it. One representative told me to go to the cassat location. The guy was not helpful at all. In fact, he refused to even assist with my situation. I then called and spoke with another representative (Amanda). She assured me that the San Jose had a full size SUV. Even took my information to book the vehicle. When I arrived at the location, I was met with a woman with red hair and funky pants. She rudely interrupted me when I told her I told her I was sent to the San Jose location for the full size vehicle. All in all, I left the vehicle there. Enterprise is a joke. I've had issues with them in the past. I'm glad I'm a corporate account user and I don't have to pay out of pocket. read more

The staff at this Enterprise location was extremely helpful to my friend and I while we found ourselves in a bind. Chandrae was kind, courteous and funny. Treated us like friends and genuinely wanted to give us the best experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we drove off. I decided to make an appointment online and once complete I received a call confirming my request. Upon arrival We where greeted by one of the customer service reps who where very friendly and quickly took care of us. We requested a vehicle that was comparable to the one that we had to take to the body shop for repair. We were given a new SUV (Buick Enclave ) that was both clean on the inside and the outside. A week later we Returned the SUV which was a very fast and easy task. Customer service was also great to deal with and very helpful. We will definitely be back for our rental car needs in the future, if needed. read more

First I would like to thank Enterprise's Damage Recovery Unit 3. So nice, kind, considerate and professional. I cannot thank them enough. I had a problem with a car I rented from this Branch. There were problems turning it in. DRU3 took care of the problem extremely fast. Enterprise is a great Company and I will highly recommend them to rent a car from. Problems happen and it is how they are solved and handled that determines customer service and if you want to use a company services again. They get a 5 star easily. Decent - but they seem understaffed. This location is in a heavy traffic area so cars can be limited and wait time can be long. What I did find out is that if you're renting a car for a "long period" you can get on a wait list to switch out cars - if you don't like what you end up with when picking up. I was in a Ford EcoStar which is like the smallest SUV you can imagine. It felt like I was driving a roller skate. When I called to ask about switching cars, they had a nice full sized sedan - Chevy Impala - which was more to my liking. Well, I've got a confession to make-- I've never rented from Enterprise and from the horror stories I've read here, seems like I should keep it that way-- Yeesh! I'm a National girl, but we're all family here! So why am I here, and why the 4 stars? -- LINDSEY! That's it. While I've never rented with Enterprise, I've definitely returned my National rentals here consistently. Lindsey is always working (sometimes alone) no matter what time I drop off and she's always the best at getting my car checked in, inventoried, and my free ride home arranged. While, this location is super busy and short staffed, I always seem to get away unscathed and with as minimal wait as possible depending on the circumstances. Lindsey has great costumer care and does her best to make the process as painless as possible! And for that, I'm a fan! read more

I rented from Enterprise all over the country for several years and love that they pick you up and drop you off. I have a VIP platinum membership status. I have 2 complaints with this location they did not pick me up at the time I requested and the young man that checked my vehicle in told me I was going to be charged to replace a windshield for a small ding. I usually video the cars I rent before leaving the lot, but they were 90 minutes late picking me up and I needed to Be someplace. They gave me some BS excuse about clients usually call them 30 minutes before they are ready to be picked up. I said no one told me to call 30 minutes before I was ready to be picked up. I made a reservation and asked to be picked up at a specific time. SMH When I returned the vehicle it looked good to me. Back to the small ding. I asked the young man to check because it look like it just needed to be washed. To make a Long story short there was a claim already placed about this ding. My question was why was it not replaced already? Why did you rent it to me saying only something the size of a golf ball or larger is to be mentioned when renting from Enterprise. No apology just oops. Will NOT be renting from this location again. The pros were both the young man that picked me up and young woman that drove me back were very professional. read more

They misinformed me on what paper work I would need. Because the address on my license is different the address I live at then I can not pick up my reservation for Christmas. Now I can't see my family this Christmas. Have no fear. Enterprise said they are so sorry. So that fixes everything. one star is one star too many. read more

This location is ACTIVELY and CONTINUOUSLY attempting to get away with fraudulently charging their customers. I got into a very bad accident in mid Nov. 2021 that totaled my vehicle; the insurance company of the person responsible for said accident put me into a rental car for 1 week through enterprise and now, im January 2022 almost 2 months later i can confidently say that this is the WORST experience i have ever had as a customer, anywhere, ever. FIRST: I picked up the car on 3/8ths of a tank. I know this weirdly exact number off the top of my head because i had to fight and argue with enterprise upon returning the vehicle to them without a full tank of gas. They claimed they had given it to me full and that i now owed them over $70 (SEVENTY DOLLARS FOR A TANK OF GAS!) for gas as i did not return it full. Thankfully I was able to get a nicer agent on the phone who looked up the history on the vehicle and saw that the renter who returned the car right before I picked it up had turned it in with, you guessed it, 3/8ths of a tank. This issue was resolved but not without turmoil. NOW; they are claiming that I damaged the windshield and owe them $300. When i picked up the vehicle I noticed a chip/divet/hole from a pebble or whatever on the windshield near the rear view mirror; it looked to my, albeit untrained, eye that they had already filled this hole with whatever glass fixing epoxy stuff they use for those things. I commented on this EXACT damage to the employee who did the walk around the vehicle with me. They assured me that I did not need to report it, it was old and they only needed to report "new damage that is physically larger than the size of a dollar bill." I had just gotten out of a vehicle totaling accident 2 or 3 hours prior to picking up this car and was exhausted and not in the mood to argue with an employee about what i should or should not report, so i took the car and went home; i admit that was my mistake as i obviously should have never trusted or rented from this business. After now 2 counts of this company attempted to literally steal my money, I am beginning to suspect that they actively planned this out and are committing premeditated fraud. I have received no calls about this damage claim, the letter was sent to an old, unused address and the ONE email I received was not clearly titled in any way. It's like they planned to just casually charge me for damages i didn't cause and fully expected me to just NOT NOTICE and pay them out so I wouldn't have to deal with it? Idk about y'all but I can't say i've ever only received one shady form of correspondence from a company that claimed i owed them money. To enterprise, you picked the wrong person to label a fool. I will not concede to fraudulent charges just so i don't have to put in the energy to fight it. I will not allow you to take advantage of me as a customer in this way. I already will probably NEVER use your services again but if I am not contacted in regards to a resolution to this SOON, i will not shut up about it. I will tell anyone and everyone I know about my experience with this company and even if they have never learned a thing a day in their life i will make sure that they learn to not use enterprise's services. 0/10 experience, im truly, wholly disappointed that i'm even going to have to keep interacting with this company while i get this issue resolved. absolutely shameful. read more

Guy who works here, Nick, was awful. We had to come here to get a car as ours was being worked on by Tesla. They had ZERO available cars for anyone. Nick was short with us and made us feel unwelcome. We had zero choice in the type of car we got and he couldn't give us an estimated time when a car would be available. If you have a choice, do not come this location. read more

This is the first review I wish there was the ability for zero stars. A woman hit my car and it has to be fixed which is traumatic enough. Thank goodness only minor issues for us. Our insurance Allstate, with whom I've been for 30 years used enterprise. Sunday night they set me up for a 10 am rental as I have to work. We waited till noon. No car. Seriously? How about the Phillips hwy branch. No. When will there be one? Maybe this evening, we close @ 6. I work at a pharmacy, I leave work late. I ask that it be ready @ 8am Tues. Then call Allstate and reiterate this in no uncertain terms. It is now 6 PM Tuesday evening. I had to call into work. They had no cars and have no idea when they will!! What is their job?? Maybe tomorrow by 3pm. Again I have to work. This is utterly ridiculous. read more

I called the reservation line on Thursday to reserve a vehicle to be picked up on Friday (10-21) at 11am. After providing all of my information, including, my insurance and claim number, I was told that a car would be available. I arrived at the San Jose location a few minutes before 11. Was told by the associate that he did not see a reservation for me. I told him that I had called the previous day to reserve one and was told it would be available. He replied in a very condescending manner "well if you don't believe me, come behind the counter and look at the computer for yourself." I was really taken back by his unprofessional attitude. He then told me that he doesn't even have any cars available until tomorrow (Saturday). He then blamed the reservation error on my insurance company. His attitude was abrupt and rude throughout my encounter with him. He never apologized nor make any attempt to resolve the issue. I left and went a few miles down to Hertz. Was able to get a vehicle without a reservation. I was in and out in 15 minutes. read more

My car was reserved by my insurance company. The Manager advised me that of the cost per day and flew thru the contract without disclosing one major part of the contract that being that they would debit my checking account every few days for the money due. Granted I should have read that small print but since they are going into your checking account, it should be verbally explained. When I called and asked why this was not explained, the answer was "well it was in the contract" My advice, READ every line and ask for a daily charge as there are many figures on the contract but it never says the exact amount. Mine as $23.52 per day, insurance paying $20.00 so you would think my rate was $3.52 - wrong. It is $8.52 and that was no where on the contract. read more

made the reservations weeks ahead. called the day before to say I needed the car promptly at 8am. Friendly manager greeted me and was very efficient, seemingly. office seemed disorganized. car porter came to get me and told me we had to drive to another location to get the car. It was now 8:30am. I protested and he seemed indifferent. Drove for 10 minutes to another lot and the car reserved for me was behind 2 other cars. Porter could not find keys and disappeared for 10 minutes. Finally started juggling cars and by the time I left the lot it was after 9am. THANKS A LOT! I called and complained and all were "really sorry", but I was late for a meeting and really ornery. Called corporate and got even less of a response. No one accountable in this company. read more

The location on San Jose should be shut down. I live in the area so over the years I have rented with them. Each time I have reserved a car online they have not had the class of car I requested when I arrive. I always On one occasion I reserved a luxury car for my sons prom. When we arrived a couple of hours before he was to pick up his date, they told me they didn't have a luxury car there. The reservation was made weeks in advance. I would think that they would make sure they had the vehicle there. They gave me an SUV stating it was "better". The alternative was to wait while they tried to track down a luxury car at another location. The staff was indifferent and didn't really seem to care that they inconvienced me. It always take a long time to get in and out. Either the car isn't ready or they don't have it at all. There is always something. They offer sub par customer service and dishonesty just to get you in the door. I will never EVER go this location again. The Philips Hwy location is worth the extra few minutes drive. The staff at the Philips Hwy location is fast, friendly, efficient and they actually have the car you reserve. read more

Enterprise San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville Fl Deceitful business practices, Charge your card different amounts on different cards without your permission,lies, poorly managed, disorganized, poor customer service,lack of training manager Lindsey and Sam assistant manager. New management I rented a car that was thru Allstate insurance then I did a self pay rental with Southside then transfered to closer location on San Jose Blvd. I told them about the Allstate discount I get but they decided to charge me $31.17 instead of the $23.30 Southside had already charged me. I was told by Lindsey I had to use a debit card and that I could not use a credit card for $200 deposit and one day rental for $31.17 so I gave my debit card information when I came in. I then called back to enterprise because I have always used a credit card for my rental. I asked the employee Jasmine and she told me yes I can use a credit card I said Lindsey said I had to use debit card? The employee said no you can use a credit card and we put amount on hold. I asked a 3rd employee just to make sure and Sam said yes we can use a credit card I said thank you. I called in and gave my credit card information. Then the nightmare occured I turned the car in before cut off time and ask Sam wants to charge me extra day when car was brought in before cutoff and I said not paying car is here on lot before time. Sam and some other employee she said charge my account in error had 6 charges not authorized by me on one card and 4 char3/31/0ges not authorized by me on another credit card with different amount and then reversal UTTER CONFUSION.. I said you cannot take money from one card and put it on a different card that is illegal Sam said I don't know any other way. I said I audit the amount have to equal and you CANNOT put charges on a customer account without there permission I need my account corrected. It was Saturday 3/31/18 day before Easter and Sam came from behind the desk towards me saying I have to go there closing. Never confront a customer because your rushing to close and have not completed customer account correctly.and don't know what to do, call someone if you have to but never leave a customer money and account in disarray with double and triple charges and reversal. I DONOT RECOMMEND until better training and processing of customer transactions. Southside location was much better and more organized. read more

I've had little issues building up to this review ... The last time I rented it was dirty inside and out ... The time before that, the front tire was bogus - and they had just had it serviced, the papers were in the visor. Today I went to get a vehicle and they wanted additional paperwork to use a debit card - I've never had this happen before, and average 3-4 rentals a year for quick trips. Utility bills and leasing agreements - and then they said my mortgage deed wouldn't count like a lease? Wow. Dinged for owning instead of renting.I'll just keep my 100 bucks for gas in my 2013 SUV and drive myself. I reserved a car for a month while my car was being repaired. Within 9 days I learned that insurance decided to total out my car. I bought a new car Saturday on the 10th day of renting. I returned the car after hours on Saturday and expected to pay for the rental through Sunday. Since the car was on their lot upon opening Monday I did not expect to be charged, but they charged me for Monday, claiming they could not back date the return. While the clerk was polite, I don't think I should have to pay for Monday due to their computer system. He did not offer me anything to compensate for the "extra" day charge. read more

I reserved a rental car through enterprise website. I called ahead of time to my local enterprise to find out exactly what I needed. I was informed that if a debit card was my only means of reserving I would need proof of Florida residents. I was not however told I would need a $200 deposit too, but it was returned to my account within 48 hours of bringing the car back. I would defiantly rent from them again. The car was clean inside and ran great. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. read more

I went in Tuesday to pickup my car that I had reserved on Monday at 4:06pm. On my way to the office to pick up car, as I was taking Uber, the office called me and said they didn't have a car ready for me. The only thing I could have was a truck or minivan. Realize my rental reservation that I had printed out was for an intermediate car. The agent said he would call the office on Southside to see if they could get me a car since there was not one. He then told me there is nothing he can do and I would have to take one of the cars mentioned. I said not going to happen as I had a reservation. He said that Enterprise reservations mess up all the time and say they have cars but they don't at the local office. When I arrived one of the agents told me the same thing. Also begin to ask me where I work, what is name of the company and I said no where in the paperwork does it ask those types of questions. She also said I had to show insurance card however the people next to me never had to do the same. The manager was working with them. There is obviously different rules for different people. The staff were all unprofessional and also condescending to me. They all of sudden came up with a small car once they heard me calling customer service at the main Enterprise number and heard me filing a complaint. I did this on Tuesday and the district manager is suppose to call and at this time no call. I would never rent a car from them ever again. Beware of this office. read more
