Recently rented a SUV for a road trip to NY. The online rental process was seamless but the pickup had a few hiccups due to availability of the SUV. Easily the worst experience I've ever had renting a car. The complete and total disconnect between what their website shows as available and what is actually on their lot is appalling and creates a lot of unnecessary confusion and long wait times for vehicles that aren't even there. It makes reserving anything online completely pointless and a total waste of time. The branch manager "Tobias" couldn't care less about the horrible customer service he and his employees provide and also has a huge issue with removing his face mask over and over again with complete disregard for his company's own mask policy. They used the fact I was dropped off at their location with no way to get around against me to try and pressure me into a vehicle I didn't want as it was supposedly the only vehicle in the entire area available. You can't even personally verify what other locations may have as cross site reservations is apparently now all handled by an "area manager" who is impossible to actually get in contact with (which the branch employees don't know anything about as they offered to give me other branches' numbers). It was also painfully hilarious watching and listening to them offer vehicles they supposedly didn't have to other customers that walked into the same situation I did. Save yourself the trouble and find another rental company. I ended up getting a janky little car that's almost on E, has a broken driver's side seatbelt, and is filthy on the outside and the inside...thanks for wasting my time and my money Enterprise. read more

I have spent the last couple of weeks trying to get a refund for an overpayment of about 300 dollars that they charged me. The manager argued me down only to discover that I knew what I was talking about. He told the money would be placed back on my card in a few business days. Never happened. Also told me that they would call me back after they figured out the issue. Never happened. So, I'm still waiting on my refund. Rental Agreement - 566184711 Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. My experience at the Atlanta Airport Enterprise with customer agent RL and manager Randy was marred by a notable deficiency in emotional intelligence. The Atlanta Aiport enterprise was an awful experience. The customer service was truly unbelievable. The service desk agent was beyond me. when I first approached the desk, the agent didn't even greet me with a Hi, how are you doing? I was greeted with can you get your license and my form of payment. I had to greet him with his dismissive attitude. Once he realized I wasn't the type of customer to take on a confrontational attitude but instead tried to make the best of the situation, his demeanor suddenly changed. I have rented several cars over the 14 years I've been a business customer and have yet to experience this behavior. On previous occasions, when making business reservations for car rentals, it has not been customary for me to provide a deposit. However, during a recent transaction with Enterprise, the rental agent asserted that a deposit was mandatory for such reservations. Despite my attempts to convey that I had not been required to provide a deposit for business reservations in previous dealings, the agent persisted in asserting the necessity of the deposit. Upon seeking the manager's assistance, the agent apprised him of the situation. However, the manager's response was characterized by a lack of empathy, dismissiveness, and a negative demeanor. There was a notable absence of compassion or acknowledgment for my longstanding patronage. The encounter left me feeling humiliated and disrespected. In particular, the manager, identified as Randy, at the Atlanta airport and the gate agent, RL, displayed behavior that, in my professional opinion, would not be tolerated in the Customer Service industry. As a manager, the expectation is to comprehensively address customer concerns, a standard that Randy failed to meet. ( I attached a picture of the gate agent as a receipt) I offered to present my most recent reservation as evidence, yet the manager did not acknowledge my previous experience. This incident reflects a significant lapse in customer service and raises doubts about the individual's suitability for a leadership role. Upon departing the establishment, the attendant inquired about my experience as she checked me out. When I expressed dissatisfaction, she assertively what happened regarding the issues encountered. Upon being apprised of the situation, she promptly remarked, Yes, that policy has been in effect for some time. Without full knowledge of the circumstances, she stated, I will investigate who waived your deposit and hold them accountable, as this action warrants reprimand and potential termination. As a consumer, it is prudent to consider the entirety of the situation before taking such action. This response appears to be impulsive. I'm reaching out to the enterprise to help fix and fix my reservation so that I can make sure of a positive and satisfactory experience. Could you remove the deposit and a fixed rate? My original agreement was for a four-day duration. I am a party to a business contractual agreement that does not necessitate a deposit. However, such a requirement would nullify the distinction between a standard Enterprise customer and an Enterprise Plus member. As an Enterprise Plus member, there is an obligation to disclose the deposit. I had to modify my reservation to cease the back-and-forth communication. I had to modify it to a one-day rental to promptly depart from the stressful situation. Because of this, I am reaching out to customer service to ask for more help and resolution. I had a positive customer service experience with Gordon Woodall. He comprehensively understood my concerns and demonstrated appreciation for my loyalty. I have to acknowledge him and his efforts. This location is TRASH. Took my brother who was visiting from SF to rent a car and they wanted him to bring a proof of address and employment letter. He's not new to renting and everytime he's in town, he rents from other Enterprise locations so he was surprised to hear that they needed such things. Staff was nice enough but Enterprise is doing something really sketchy. Go online, order a car get a confirmation number. Easy enough. Go pick to pick up the car and you're on a waitlist? So what is a confirmation for? Essentially Enterprise is low on cars. They sometimes cannot provide the service they offer. Instead of saying that, they give you a confirmation so you don't see a reason to go to other rental places for service. It is a bait and switch. Or at least it would be if they had cars to provide. Either way, it they are being deceitful. I would also point out it has been almost a week since I was "Wait listed" and apparently they still don't have a car. OR the waitlist does not exist. We rent from this place for short business trips. We always reserve a week in advance and call the day before to confirm, and call before leaving the office for pick up. Nevertheless we ALWAYS WAIT an hour or so while they try to get a similar vehicle from a different location. This week we reserved a minivan for pickup today. We called yesterday to confirm, and again today to let them know we were heading over and would be their in 30 minutes. 2 hours later we are waiting on a Suburban from a different location. No one at this location will ever pick up their phone call. I called at 10am and I got help at 11:22am. And that's after I called a total of 30 times. No one will pick up their phone call if you just stay on hold listening to their commercial message. Someone at the back eventually picked up cause she felt bad for putting me on hold for so long and politely informed me to give them a few more minutes for someone at the front to get back to me. I waited another 40minutes. So I kept calling over and over and the same girl at the back accidentally picked up the phone and didn't realize that I am on the line. I overheard her and the front employees talk amongst each other about me (customer). The girl at the back said she feels so bad cause she told me to wait a few more minutes for someone at the front and that the same name/number keeps calling and how the customer will be so mad now. Eventually, I had to hang up after listening to the employees goof around and talk about me (customer). Called back several more times and finally someone named Marvin picked up claiming he's the manager. The customer service level here is worth a negative star if it exists. I went to Enterprise to get a rental because I was in a fender bender and this is what the insurance provided. COVID has really messed up ok establishments. This place could have easily received 5 stars but because of the current events it turned a little sour. My husband and I went in and was quickly directed back out into the small parking lot in the middle of Summer. You can't sit inside because of the precautions of Covid and staying 6 feet apart. We sat outside for about 10 minutes before I decided to sit in the car and wait on my husband to take care of getting the rental. I feel they could of at least provided water and a covering over the area where customers need to sit . The whole process took about 30 minutes too long. The staff was ok but service could have been better. The rental that we received was really clean and up to date. I hope they see this and maybe improve on making sure the customer is ok with sitting outside. Oh one more thing just to be aware of they are not doing free pickups again because of Covid which is understandable. read more

Disappointed in this location. I had a reservation to pick up the car, but it took 45 minutes for them to help me once I arrived. This was minor, but the car they gave me smelled so strongly of smoke and bad air freshener that I actually gagged while driving it. I decided to stick it out with the car for the week since it took so long to get into this one in the first place. Upon returning the vehicle, I wanted to let the staff know that the vehicle had smelled really awful and the employee helping me didn't even acknowledge it. This location is always slow. It also has a bad parking lot which makes it difficult to find parking and to maneuver because it's so tight. Enterprise has always advertised that they will pick you up. Don't count on it. Over the twenty years I've dealt with Enterprise (because I've had to), I have asked to be picked up about 7 times. I am a car reviewer so normally I drive low mileage, top trim vehicle, provided by the fleet management to my driveway. This time around I needed a vehicle in a hurry and this particular location, although not the most glamorous, was close enough to my home. Before the time someone supposed to pick me up a got a phone call alerting me someone was in the way. In a few minutes I was driven to the location in a very car I was renting. Unfortunately the condition of front shocks escaped my attention and only on the highway the driving became not too comfortable. I did switch the vehicle at my destination place ( a free upgrade) and upon returning another vehicle I got a small discount, paired with a free upgrade ( transferable) for future rental. I booked a car rental with Enterprise thru Hotwire Itinery # 4015856025 which was easy and offered great rates.I read the hotwire and enterprise rule but when it came to pick up the car, Enterprise, has their own rules and regulation each office which disqualified me to rent the car. I called Enterprise directly prior to picking up the rental just to confirm and inquiry that is it ok to rent a car with my credit / debit card and I was told, YES! but a @ $200 refundable deposit will be held upon the arrival of the car which I was fine with. I took a $22 uber to the Enterprise rental located at 176 Scenic Highway, Lawrenceville, GA, and another $21.40 back to where I was visiting. I was told by a gentleman at the Enterprise office that I needed a major credit card or 2 local utility bills (which I'm from another state and do not walk around with such statements) in order to rent a car there. I explained to the gentalman that I'm visiting from out of state and I spoke with an Enterprise rep. prior to coming down just to confirm my eligibility to rent a car. I still was denied! never again with Enterprise!!!!! nor will I ever recommend them. I feel the Enterprise rep. on the phone gave me false info so when I get to that office i would be forced to use a credit card. My trip was ruined because I had not car to travel to place I had on my Itinerary. Enterprise made no effort to accomodate nor showed any compassion. This was a true nightmare!!! I reserved a mini van Friday 2/26/2021 for a short road trip with my daughter and her friends for her birthday. I made a reservation earlier for 4pm and arrived about 3:50pm. They were understaffed from the looks of it. However what frustrated me more so was the fact that an hour later I was still there waiting on my rental. They'd checked me in since approximately 4:10, not to mention that an associate had called me at 3:36 to confirm my reservation where I told him that I was 8 minutes from the location. At around 4:30ish one associate told me that they were getting the vehicle ready for me, for the 2nd time. The waiting area had long since cleared out but for maybe 2 other people and several vehicles had been returned, yet I was still waiting until 4:47 without any sign of the vehicle I reserved. At 4:50 I told them that I was leaving as this had already created a huge delay in my weekend plans. A female associate claimed that they were cleaning the vehicle and would bring it around shortly but I'd already heard that nearly a half hour prior. I couldn't help but feel like they were having me wait on a vehicle that wasn't even on the premises which is absolutely unacceptable when I had made a reservation. My car broke down in a big way and I found myself, on a Sunday, needing a car for at least a week to get to work. I got on the Enterprise App, reserved my car, and went to the South Lawrenceville location on Scenic Hwy. They were extremely busy, but all of the employees were smiling, moving expeditiously, and handling chaos with ease and grace. I had reserved a Toyota Camry, but my agent wasn't comfortable with how the car's brakes were performing. He switched me to a Nissan Versa instead. I believe exceptional customer service would dictate that he upgrade me one level with no increase in fees. However, I am extremely grateful that I got a vehicle on such short notice and was taken care of by such a professional staff. read more

Worst enterprise I've every worked with. If I could give this location 0 stars I would... enterprise is typically my go to for rentals but I will never deal with this location ever again. Had a rental set up here through the bodyshop who was going to work on my car. Rental was supposed to be at the body shop or me to pick up at 8:00am I had to wait 1-1/2 hrs and the car never showed up... body shop called repeatedly while I was waiting and was dealing with clueless/unorganized folks on the phone who could not tell them when the vehicle would get there. Finally after waiting all this time someone shows up with a shuttle to take me 30 mins back to their store and get a car... I declined because is was already planning to be late for work but not over 2+ hours late... so I had to reschedule my body shop repairs to another day. Two days later, I drop car off at body shop again at 8:00am (enterprise was supposed to be there promptly at 8)... they were not there, however this time I only had to wait 10 mins but the car that they brought to me smelled like someone smoked in it. Pissed again I begrudgingly took the rental so that I could go ahead and my cars body work done. After 2 days of driving a smelly car I called and tried to get them to swap it out which they were fine with doing but when I got to their store I walked in and there were like 20 people waiting around for a car and 2-3 staff working there... it looked like I had just walked into the DMV folks who were in here already were already looking pissed and tired of waiting for their rentals. I just turned around and walked right out of the place and decided to deal with the smelly rental for 2 more days until I get my car back. This Enterprise has poor customer service!!! read more

I will never rent from this location again! I had reserved a car a month before I needed it get to the location and they tell me they have no more cars which is unacceptable. I was not leaving without a car because I had a surprise Mother's Day trip to attend and I was not going to just leave. I was expecting to be in and out since I had a reservation but no I had to wait over a hour for someone to return a car and had to wait for them to clean it. After my hour wait the car was beat up had starches, cracks, and dents everywhere. Staff is very friendly, I was greeted with a smile and welcome when I walked in. they work hard to make the process as expeditious as possible (helps when you rent there a lot!) The location and access is terrible, and with all the empty retail options in the area, I think it would behoove the company to move to a more visible spot, and have more ease of navigating.
