My experience at Enterprise Rent-A-Car was average overall, with both positive and disappointing moments. I want to start by highlighting Dee, who was excellent. She picked me up from the auto body shop on a Saturday, brought me back to the branch, and made the entire process smooth. She was friendly, professional, and very accommodating while helping me select a vehicle and complete the paperwork. Her customer service was genuinely appreciated. Unfortunately, my experience afterward was less pleasant. Once my vehicle was assigned, I needed assistance locating the (a blue Nissan Rogue) that I was picked up in, to retrieve my belongings, including golf clubs. When I asked for help a taller black male stands at 6 ft and taller the representative I spoke with responded very casually and directed me to retrieve my items, as if we were just buddy buddies, leaving me on my own rather than offering assistance. This was surprising, especially given that I observed a much more attentive and accommodating approach moments later when he assisted other customers, overhearing their conversation their conversation and they had common ground that his spouse is Nigerian, I was left with some bitterness, and appalled. The lack of consistency and professionalism stood out and left me feeling overlooked as a customer. When I returned the keys, there was no acknowledgment or thank you, have a nice day,, which added to the overall discomfort of the interaction. I've worked in sales and customer-facing roles for many years, and professionalism and consistency matter. While Dee provided excellent service, the experience as a whole could benefit from better customer engagement and awareness from all staff members. Because of that inconsistency, I would rate this location as average. read more

Jen, Jorge, and it was 1 more female employee whose name I forgot to get were extremely helpful. Assisted me and my family with rentals. Price was very reasonable. Some vehicles were unavailable due to maintenance issues however they found a way to accommodate me. They did not give me the Red Kia Soul lol (thank god). I had a pleasant experience with this office and staff from start to finish. I also liked the car I drove and asked a representative about it. He provided helpful information. A sales associate later called for a follow-up and kindly assisted me in exploring options for purchasing a used car. This is the fourth time I've used this location. I highly recommend it. Dropped off a rental here by recommendation of one of the employees in Gardena. They made drop off so seamless! Due to discrepancies with the insurance they held off on charging my credit card while that gets sorted out. Everyone on site was super friendly and ready to help. Due to such pleasant experiences at this location and Gardena, I wonder if Enterprise provides customer service training. If so, it really does show! They also provided transportation to the autobody shop without hesitation. I really appreciate the team's attention to detail and great customer service here. read more

Tyler is an absolute liar! We had arranged to swap a Dodge Durango for a Yukon XL to accommodate our family traveling to a funeral. We arrived at the Lomita location within 15 minutes, only to be told a completely made up lie about the truck having an ant infestation. Tyler's eyes looked everywhere but at mine as he recited this freshly made up lie. And to double down on the lie, he told us it needed to be returned to the dealer. Sending a truck back for ants? Why say it was available for rental and pick up in the first place? Those ants weren't discovered when the car was cleaned and checked after drop off for re-rental? Did the ants just magically appear while we were on our way? Of course they didn't. That was just a made up lie and a total waste of our time as well. No phone call was made to update us of the situation at all. He pulled a bait and switch because he wanted to rent it at a higher rate than what were given for it! Bad business tactics and rude behavior for a manager to employ. Absolutely would not recommend patronizing this location. read more

Currently at enterprise as I had to drop off my rental. I wanted to wait until I completed this to do a review. I had to get my car serviced and the insurance company paid for me to have a rental. From the moment they picked me up from the auto body and took me here to get a car I didn't have to wait long at all. I had another woman who was checking me in and I jokingly asked if I could get one of the bmw's but she said it had to be the same value and unfortunately I couldn't have one....she wasn't the friendliest but Claudia who was nearby made the experience great! She surprised me with one and the entire time I've had it I've absolutely loved it! I'm here now dropping it off and Claudia is here! She's made the experience a great one with her professionalism, care and demeanor. The staff were great too! The guys who drove me to and from caliber collision! Would definitely recommend it here and thank you to everyone who made this experience great (considering the situation). read more

I don't know ,why they reported this location as closed. It's open. I rented a car from here a week ago. I think this is reported wrong. Anyways, I made a reservation online, and called the office and scheduled a ride pick up. When arriving there, I went inside and Cole greeted me with a smile. Cole was very awesome. I reserved for compact car, buy they didn't have anymore compact car so he rented me a SUV for the price of a compact car. Their rates may be expensive compared to hertz, but I'd rather go to Enterprise because they have better selection of cars. When upon returning the car, Cole asked me if I needed a ride back home and he got a driver within 5 seconds. Cole has a excellent customer service skills. We were picked up by Alex, who was very nice and made us feel welcomed. Best rental experience so far! I needed a car since mine was in the shop, and the first one i rented had a questionable smell to it. The next day I texted them and they were prompt in replacing the car with one that was an equal rate. I needed to extend the rental twice, and each time they did they made the process quick and painless, and took care of contacting insurance on my behalf to cover the funds. Above and Beyond Customer Service! Big thanks to Rachnaye, Steven and the Enterprise Crew in Lomita! After attempting to book a replacement Tesla at the closer Torrance branch on Western, I was abruptly told there were none available and that was that. I then tried calling the Lomita branch and Rachnaye asked me to give her some time to make it happen. She and Steven made it a point to contact other dealerships everyday for a couple of weeks and despite having much of the Tesla rental fleet in service or resold, they tracked one down for me. The Model S drove spectacularly (although without autopilot and brake hold was a little loose) and the big plus was FREE supercharging! In addition to tracking the elusive Tesla down, the Crew helped to extend my rental at the same special rate and also minimize my out-of-pocket expenses. Nothing but praise for the Crew in Lomita. Very good and friendly service. Also, I needed to return the car early, but I knew they do not offer a drive home that early. So I entended to walk the 2 mile walk home. It would have been no problem as I walk a lot. But they saw I am a bit elderly and they would not allow that, especially because it was misty and may start raining. The man insisted and took me home. I had previously seen some of the comments here on yelp about unsatisfactory customer service, and I almost went to another place. this is my go-to rental place in the Southbay. I have a lot of experience using enterprise in the LA area and I'm always very impressed by the service. The fees are always well explained and the staff there doesn't pressure you on your choices. Whenever I have my car serviced or I need a rental, the enterprise location there near old Torrance is very convenient for me and the folks there are just super friendly. It is also in a good location next to a good car wash as well as some good restaurants for some quick food. So I highly recommend going there for your car rental needs. read more

Excellent customer service! Friendly and helpful staff. I rented a car from this location early this week, on Monday. Booked it online, was able to get a prompt ride to the rental location. They didn't have the size I had booked for (since I made the reservation a couple of hours before the pickup). I got a size smaller, which was OK with me. Claudia assured me that I would be able to get the size I wanted later in the day. Wasn't able get in to switch cars for a couple of days but as soon I was able to go in, I got the size I wanted (glad I did with the high winds and blizzard conditions). Both cars were clean with a low mileage. Returning the car was a breeze too. Got a ride back right away! Highly recommend this place and wouldn't hesitate to rent from them again! read more

I was happy but not anymore. In October I had one minor accident, not my fault, and needed a rental car for a week. I felt good about the experience. One week later, I was involved in a violent crash, also not my fault, and needed another rental car for over a month. I'm not feeling so good about the experience now. Now that the repairs are done and the money is changing hands, I just learned today that the additional insurance Enterprise charged me $21.00 a day for wasn't necessary at all because it was part of my insurance claim and liability was already part of it. The topic never should have come up. I'm not a car rental expert or an insurance expert. I believed I needed the extra insurance. Now I'm stuck with $703 on my credit card I don't have the money to pay so now it's going to accrue interest while I try to pay it down. That may not seem like much money to some people, but I live alone in one of the most expensive states to live in and struggle to get by every month so to me that's a lot. I feel like I've been robbed. The guy who gave me rides to where I needed to be was great though. read more

Enterprise Rent-A-Car located at 2230 PCH, Lomita, CA - rented me a car INFESTED WITH ROACHES! OMG. They are the worst company. I reported the roach infestion and told them about the horrendous experience and how roahces were on my person. We took video and pictures and the company still denies it! SMH. They need to be investigated by Health Deparment. They are recklessly endangering the health of customers by not taking this complaint seriously. They offerred me a $300 gift certificate. R U kidding me! I will never rent from Enterprise, or Alamo or National - (all owned by the same family) ever again in life. Be careful - who thinks to look for ROACHES WHEN YOU RENT A CAR? Do NOT rent from here. I always fly into LAX, but I usually rent from this location because it's close to my sister's house and they've been relatively easy to deal with in the past. My flight today was delayed, so I unfortunately couldn't make it until 1.5 hours after my reservation time. They released my car and had nothing else of a similar class for me to drive. The guy at the counter basically blamed it on me: "you didn't show up to your reservation on time and we thought you had canceled." I did not cancel, and how am I supposed to call if my flight is delayed? I understand their need to release their cars if a customer doesn't show up, but I didn't appreciate how rude this guy was and the fact that I NEVER RECEIVED A COURTESY CALL that my car would be released. Had I gotten this call, I could have gone to the LAX location and not paid for my Uber to get here. This guy was not apologetic at all, even when I said that I should have at least been afforded the courtesy of a phone call and been saved of this inconvenience. All he did was tell me to wait while he "calls around." Rude and inefficient - that is the name of the game here. read more

One of the worst car rental companies out there. I booked a Nissan Versa to travel to Nevada. Had an accident on the way and Enterprise Roadside Assistance directed me to the nearest Enterprise to swap out the vehicle only to find out it had been closed since March. Had to drive to THREE different Enterprise before actually getting a new one. None of the Enterprises out of state had vehicles available which is ridiculous. Finally I get a replacement only to notice a cigarette odor inside and I was driving with a toddler) Also, the trunk was way too small. So small I took two grocery trips and I still had to fill the back seat. (Nissan Rouge). I go the next day to get a replacement only to find out AGAIN they have no vehicles available. It took TWO days for them to give me a replacement. AND A DOWNGRADE. I received a Nissan Versa again. During those two days I was calling and going back and forth with their customer service who couldn't seem to figure out which Enterprise in Nevada had a rental!! Unbelievable. Wasted gas, put my daughters health in danger and for all that trouble I received a downgrade. Alex, the manager at the rental location I originally booked the rental with said he'd handle it once I return. I return only to find out he's on vacation and my account will be frozen until he gets back. Did not receive my deposit until FIVE days after I returned the rental. This is beyond me. Worst experience ever. I had to call Alex to get my deposit. I waited for a phone call and nothing. For all this that happened my compensation was waiving rental days. For what I went through out of state and back home, I should've received more than just that. Alex on the phone said thank you and abruptly hung up the phone. Never again with this company. I would think twice if you're thinking of renting with them. I don't trust that I will be taken care of. read more

Every now and then we all need a rental car. I have rented cars from this location a number of times for a number of reasons. The one thing I would initially note about this location is that it has vastly improved. In times past, is was all about the hard-sell. You reserved one car and they would try to get you to rent a more expensive model. That is no longer the case and that is a good thing. Overall, the staff here has always been (and is) very nice. They do their job very well. If there is a downside to this Enterprise, and other ones for that matter, is the check-in process. If there is no one waiting; no problem. If there are people ahead of you, there can be a wait--a long one... But, I guess, that is just the nature of the beast. Overall, when you need to rent a car this is a place to do it. My suggestion, make a reservation online first. Then, the whole process is a whole lot easier. read more

I was pleasantly surprised this morning. It appears as though they have improved their process at this location. This one is always busy. There is always a line, even at 8am in the morning, as there is right now. I do not know how they can make this one more efficient than staffing up, as they have. There are four employee at the front desk this morning. Everyone around the area must come to this one. I was dreading coming here because they are known to be sales people here. They were always trying and up sell me. They wanted me to pay more and upgrade. They always tried to sell me the insurance i do not need because I have insurance. The staff are friendly. They take your name as you walk in and take care of you in the order you come in the facility, so no cuts. You definitely want to make a reservation. read more
