I did however read the contract which has no clause about absolutely no pets in the car. Upon returning the car, Jeffrey did the basic inspection of the car and saw some sort of animal hair on the removable rugs on the floor, he then had a frustrated look on his face, breathes hard at me and begins to say "I'm not going to charge you this time, but there are no pets allowed in the car and there's pet hair on the rugs. Since it's not on the seats and only the rugs, I won't charge you this time." And while I appreciate him not charging me for something I did not purposely do, I would've appreciated the respect to not be LIED to nor talked down to like his child. I would've also appreciated the respect of letting me know this before we drove away with the rental because I am a respectful person, I would have cleaned the car extra well to ensure I would not have to pay for something I did not do. I had no pets in the car, however I cannot do much other than clean my shoes off everytime we get in the car to avoid transferring dirt and hair. Again, I appreciate not getting charged for something I did not purposely do, but I absolutely do not appreciate being reprimanded and lied to about contractual facts. When we first got the car and were doing inspection, he told us 10 times "Do not smoke in the car. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING IN THE CAR. So don't smoke in the car..." he could've at least used some of that time to also warn us about other possible fees.

It's a tiny place and if you arrive at LAX, you'll need to take a Lyft or Taxi there, 20-some blocks down Century Boulevard. The car selection is small and the cars are far from brand new. Fast forward to last week he remembered me from last time and the same scenario played out; got an SUV, told him I wasn't comfortable with it, told me to wait and he got me another sedan!! Hector definitely is that guy that has your back! All you need is a bit of patience and some communication.
