This was my initial experience renting from Enterprise at the airport, and it is likely to be my last. Upon returning the vehicle, there were two individuals present at the return station: a young Hispanic gentleman and an older African American lady. We encountered some difficulty with parking, and they simply observed and laughed without offering any assistance or guidance. When I exited the vehicle, I inquired with the lady about where to deposit the keys. She responded quite rudely, stating, "I'm right here, give me a second!" and then continued to laugh with her colleague. My partner, who was with me, also felt very uncomfortable with her demeanor. As we waited for her to conclude her conversation with her coworker, I felt a significant sense of unease and, despite not wanting her help, felt compelled to remain. Even when she was reviewing my invoice, her attitude remained very impolite, and I have never felt so uncomfortable. I regret not obtaining her name, but my primary desire was to depart due to the uncomfortable and unprofessional nature of the experience. My truck needed work done and I needed a car because I was beginning a new job. I didn't want to take the risk the I might break down on my way to work. So I decide to rent a car for the week and get my truck fixed without needing to work about transportation. So I reserved a car on their website. When I went to pick up the car the didn't have the one I reserved. I got a suitable substitute but wasn't happy the car I reserved wasn't available. Next, I found out that the price listed on the website was the STARTING PRICE. Turns out it was an extra $250. $100 in fees and $25 a day for insurance. I'm fine with that. Not going to go without insurance. So, that's the negatives of my experience. The positive things were the staff was great. Check in was fast and efficient. Ready to go in about 10 minutes. Returning the car was an easy process. Just dropped it off at the lot and handed over the keys. Excellent rental car location based out of LGB - fast service with an efficient team. Be aware that their pickup hours are not 24/7, so if you have a very-late night flight (or if you're delayed), you might not be able to pick up a vehicle after 10:00pm. Plenty of vehicle selection that are clean, ready to drive, and well maintained. Staff is located in the kiosk in the lot just outside of the LGB turnaround. They are quick to get you sorted out and on your way. Vehicle drop off is conveniently right next to the kiosks as well - be careful pulling into the lot as well - it's crowded and narrow and there are many moving cars and vehicles going back and forth. read more

Manager tried to upsell insurance even though I explained to him that my work was paying and I needed the most basic package. Turns out I fell for his trick of being upsold and I immediately try to contact the office to change the rental agreemant. He gives me his business card. I emailed him, no response. I email the general office, no response. I get an automated text asking if I need anything to respond. I text back, no response. I end up going to another office that's now closer to me to change the rental agreement. They tell me they will email me from the long beach office in 15 minutes with an updated agreement with the extra charges dropped. No email received. The lack of communication from this office is obvious. This was actually the first time I've rented a car and it's left a sour taste in my mouth. I'd like to avoid enterprise from now on if possible. Not to mention the banged up car they rented me with the stains in the backseat and the incomplete carpet job inside. read more

Had a bad initial experience but return experience was much better. Reserved a Ford Edge through Costco from Friday May 26 at 12pm to Monday May 29 at 2pm for a trip to San Diego. Arrived at the airport at 12:10pm. There was no one at the check in counter so proceeded to their outside counter. There were people waiting outside a little building. Went to open the door but it was locked. Another customer opened it for us. Was about the fourth group in line. At around 12:25pm was at the front of the line wnd checked in. Told the wait would be 5-10 mins. Ended up waiting almost 30 mins. Got an SUV but it was a GMC Acadia. I understand not getting an Edge but the Acadia was huge. Was told there was nothing else unless I wanted to wait. During the signing process the guy tried to up sell us on everything. Drove it from Long Beach to Irvine and hated it the entire way. Decided that I didnt want to stop so drove down to San Diego and stopped at the San Diego airport. They team at that airport was super helpful and swapped out our SUV for a smaller more managemenable/comfortable/fuel efficient VW Tiguan. Upon returning today to Long Beach to drop off the car they couldnt find us in the system. Took maybe 20 mins to figure it out. Luckily Andrew took over our return and was great. He explained what the issue was and was very friendly. I would probably give Enterprise another shot but our first experience here wasnt off to a great start. I decided to not use my usual Avis since Enterprise has better customer reviews and Im tired of Avis' poor selection and long wait times. We booked a car rental for Wed-Thu and there were several other people waiting as well in the booth. He was so attentive to everybody answering any questions we had. We were supposed to get a Toyota Highlander but he upgraded us to a red Jeep Wrangler instead!! This was my first car after getting my license so it's very nostalgic for me to drive it and he was so patient and kind with the walk through and giving us info. Employees are very kind but ALWAYS slow, you never get the car you book and it is usually dirty! We've rented from them several time and while the workers try to be professional and courteous they are clearly significantly understaffed. That isn't their fault that's enterprise.! read more

I've never had a bad experience with Enterprise and this location was by far the best. I reserved the car for 7pm, got to the location a tad bit earlier but the car was ready. There was no wait at all either. Upon enter I was immediately greeted. Jacqueline (I believe, I can't remember) helped process the rental and was extremely friendly. Another associate entered the office and both of them were making light conversation which made me feel a lot more welcomed. We were given a Nissan Altima, perfect for two with our luggage. I do want to mention that every time I rent with Enterprise the cars are always top notch, this car had about 7900 miles and had all the fancy safety alerts/lights. (The wheel vibrates if you swerving lanes, something my car doesn't have so it's a fancy upgrade.) Jacqueline was also courteous enough to advise about larger vehicles if needed. The next day, I got one of those automated text from management. I tried to text with a question about extending rental time but no answer. No other rental location has done this for me before. My data phone service was slow as hell at the time, but I was able to login to my account later and extend the rental thru the web. Upon return, it was a bit busy in the morning. I waited about 15 minutes before someone came to help. Unfortunately I did not get her name, but she had purple/black hair in braids, wearing green parker. She was also very professional and friendly. She did a quick check of the car, showed me the price and sent me email receipt. Easy peasy! Again, this was the best Enterprise rental experience I've ever had. Keep up the great work. read more

This place is absolutely the worst. 1. Even though I had a reservation they weren't prepared and had me wait outside for 30 min in the 90 degrees heat in August. 2. They brought out an SUV I didn't choose. I was trying to be gas efficient. 3. As I rushed out I noticed the windshield was cracked, and its interior smelled like cigarettes. Later I realized even the gas filler is broken, so I couldn't even fill it up. 4. When called the customer service, they said they would have the location manger call me. Came here to rent a car. Next day the car had a flat tire. Came in to exchange my car, and the two supervisors on duty were the most unprofessional human beings I ever met. They tried to blame me for the flat tire and instead of switching my car for another model they directed me to Pepboys to get it fixed. Went to Pepboys because at this point I just needed a car to drive that's why I rented one. Three hours later after waiting at Pepboys they told me they couldn't help me because my Mercedes rental didn't have a tire lock and they couldn't do anything about the flat tire. I went back to Enterprise and again the two supervisors were ignoring me and not trying to help. I spent a lot of money for my Mercedes SUV rental because I wanted a luxury car with a lot of space for my planned vacation. The supervisor on duty was very upset that he had to give me another car (he was raising his voice at me while speaking in a condescending manner). Here is the best part. After 4 hours of dealing with my flat tire, the supervisor told me the only other car he has for me is a Chevrolet Malibu. He said he didn't have any other car but the Malibu. Several of people were getting trucks, SUV's and Family Vans while I'm still fighting to get another rental comparable to what I have. After dealing with these unskilled and unprofessional supervisors I decided to go to another Enterprise. I went to Enterprise in Bellflower and as soon as I walked in I noticed the shift in my environment. The rep was apologetic for my issue and offered me a Tahoe right away with no hesitation. Mind you this is a smaller lot, so they only have a few cars, but the rep didn't care because he was focusing on making my experience better. Now, can someone tell me why the Long Beach airport Enterprise couldn't do this for me specially when they're a bigger lot with more cars. I'm happy I found another Enterprise that helped me, but this is my last time ever renting from Enterprise including my friends and family. read more

I forget her name, but she was short with me in confirming a reservation, and hung up abruptly after. Their system does not show rentals outside of 72hrs from rental date. Good thing I called the return location for reservation confirmation, because either LB Airport Enterprise is over worked and short staffed, or just rude. Update: Tried a second round of calling them... pretty sure the same woman answered and was not looking at the right screen to verify my existing reservation and "transferred" me but to a dead line. I ended up calling reservation department and they finally verified. I'm sure not everyone at the branch is like this, but she must have had a bad few days. *VIDEO RECORD THE CAR INSPECTION* we made a reservation online, when i arrived they offered me an Altima with a huge scratch on the hood, it looked like it was done by vandals. It was definitely brought up during the inspection and the attendant agreed to record it. the record was made on an electronic tablet so i expected to get an emailed copy of the report along with the rental agreement which never happened. I have a witness and in the process of disputing the damage claim i recently received. Be Careful something like this could be charged to the customers over and over. read more

Because my aunt came from out of town then when it was time to return the car it's at another location they told her that it would be open at 8:00 put rushing my aunt trying to think what to do rushing letting her know there not open till 830 we're rushing to airport lax I left my walking cane and a straw string green army colored bag we went back for the can not realizing that the bag you closed at 3:00so come Monday morning contacting you and your saying no bag there or one wasn't turned in the bag small it was in the back on the floor on the right so who ever vacuumed or cleaned out the Mazda black stole my bag and I'm not stopping until you'll find out who has my bag thank you read more

I had a very bad experience with this place, I used the online service looking for a truck, and then the day I went to get i, the manager there told me that I need a credit card and since I only got my debit card they couldn't rent me the truck, then she recommend a minivan and I asked her for the fee and she said $39.00, well the $39.00 ended up being $70 a day, when I reside the minivan me and another girl that work there check it and there was a little scratch on the back and I showed it to the girl and she said no worried we have knowledge of it, I extend the rental a couple times and every time you do it you get charged for it, then the day I set up the return the same girl received the minivan and she and I revised the minivan for any damage finding nothing only the smal scratch we saw when I received the van then the manager joined the girl and she tried to blame me for the scratch, then I reminded the girl about it, then they send me an invoice with the charges and my $300.00 deposit The story doesn't end there. This was on June 8th, and then, by June 12, a charge for $500.00 appeared on my bank account, I called them back, and they told me that it was for a damages on the windshield, I complaind about it and went back to the location to inspect the damaged and sure enough a Crack on the windshield was there (the manager told me on the phone that it couldn't see it from the inside wich was I lie) I complain about it the she said I'll send the info to the main office to review you case, and now I received a letter that I owe $745.00 (because the $500.00 they deduct from my bank account doesn't appear on their computer) I hope my experience there helps someone if they need to rent a car there pay extra atencion when you receive the car take pictures and video and be extremely careful when you return it, I feel the manager there is a backstabber. read more

First off I'd like to say I travel ALOT! I go through so many airports and I must say this is the smoothest operation you'll find for a rental car system. So props to the team that set this location so close to the terminal. Second is like to nominate Joe & Wakim as the most professional managers I've met in any industry. I was greeted by joe at Long Beach Airport Enterprise and felt right at home ( I'm from hawaii) by his customer service, which I call aloha and his professional skills to get me in and out and on my way. Next Mr. Wakim saved me from a nightmare overcharge I received while dropping my truck off after 6 days at LAX. The overcharge was about to be a deal breaker for me, I've been a loyal Enterprise platinum member for over 10 years. I've spent thousands of dollars renting cars with this company and if it wasn't for Wakim I would have been a Dollar customer in the future. They refused to call and have another car delivered. And were extremely rude about turning me away even though I had a reservation!!! We decided to try Enterprise because we got a better price. I typically book with Budget, but thought to try Enterprise once. Never again. Our legally parked car was hit by a drunk driver so badly that it was not driveable. Per Enterprise instructions, we waited for the police, got an incident number. Enterprise said they would have the car towed, and we would get a replacement car in the morning. But that we must call the location we obtained the car, which is Long Beach Airport, the next morning when they opened to arrange for the replacement car. I called Long Beach as instructed. I spoke with Kristin, who was completely unhelpful. She informed me that Enterprise didn't know where the car was, and that we had to wait until the car was towed to one of their locations before she could release a car to us. And, that I was responsible for checking on the whereabouts of the car. That was upsetting. More upsetting was the fact that Kristin HUNG UP ON ME, because clearly customer service is NOT part of what happens at Enterprise. Enterprise will not give you a replacement car until they know where the car is. Because we did not purchase the Insurance, they are not bothering to find the car. ENTERPRISE LOST THE CAR AND THEY ARE NOT EVEN LOOKING FOR IT. We ended up getting a rental car from Avis, we had to take a Lyft to the airport to get it. I had to cancel all of my afternoon meetings with clients because of this, and that cost me and my company a lot of money. Almost a week later, Enterprise still did not know where the car was. We got a call today, six days after the accident, from Long Beach Airport Enterprise asking when we were going to turn in the car. I called Enterprise again, and spoke to LaTonya, who is the first truly helpful person at this company. She spent over an hour on the phone with me, was finally able to locate the car, but not before she told me I should call local body shops in an effort to find the car. ARE YOU KIDDING ME YOU WANT ME TO CALL BODY SHOPS IN SAN DIEGO TO FIND YOUR CAR THAT YOU HAD TOWED? Um no. Almost 3 months after the accident, after receiving numerous phone calls from Enterprise Damage Recover Unit and being sent thousands of dollars of bills, even though they had notice from Wawanesa that they accepted liability for their insured's accident, they still kept coming after us for money. I spent HOURS trying to fix this. IT TOOK 3 MONTHS OF PHONE CALLS, EMAILS AND LETTERS to get anyone at Enterprise to NO ONE AT ENTERPRISE GIVES A FLYING HOOT ABOUT YOU. read more

Enterprise was so unprofessional. We called because our flight was delayed and we wanted to ensure we could pick up our car. We spoke to someone who told us they usually staff their kiosk until all reservations are picked up. Instead of waiting for all reservations to be picked up they closed and left us with no car. All the other rental places were sold out of cars. They should have called us or emailed us that our reservation was unable to be picked up when we inquired about it. read more

I've always been a loyal Enterprise customer. I used points to book a premium special for the weekend and was given a Dodge Charger when I arrived. They had a Ford Mustang convertible available as an upgrade. Their customer service has always been good when it comes to a reasonable deal so I took them up on the offer. I found it was a superb rate and they were able to give me a low mileage 2017 model to zip around town. The car had all of the premium features that you would expect. Temperature controlled leather seats, touch screen, car play, cruise control, and keyless ignition. Super convenient location. Once you drop off your car, the airport is less than 100 feet away. No need to catch a shuttle or worry about missing your flight. read more

Very toxic customer service. Originally, I rented from La Habra Enterprise which was very professional with customer service. Unfortunately, The car had an issue with the rear trunk. My local La Habra Enterprise was closed and Enterprise directed me to Long Beach. Everything went well with the car exchange. I realized I had left my Jacket and other items in the car. I tried more than 10 times to reach out to them, and the only thing I got was the recording message kept telling me to call back on Monday. I have even had Enterprise headquarters (833-744-1718) for assistance. The headquarters couldn't get hold of them. So, Monday I went to Long Beach Enterprise, hoping, they might have my stuff. The staff asked for my paper to track where to locate the car ask me to wait 25 minutes. Unfortunately, they dumped all my items a day before. They could have called or texted me. asked for the original paperwork because it had handwritten damage to the Now, they lost my paperwork which I gave 25 minutes ago. The staff gave me a copy of the paper without handwritten damage to the car. There was nothing in my paper stating damage to the car but the staff said, it was on their system about the damages but unwilling to give a copy. Customer, Beware. I should have read these reviews before renting from this Long Beach airport location. I had rented 2 SUV'S for my family of 10 for a weeks vacation. We arrived on December 27th and proceeded to the kiosk in the middle of the parking lot. At the rental counter, I was told I would need a major credit card for both rentals as the 2 SUV'S were considered "premium" vehicles. No where online, did it mention I would need a major credit card for a "premium" vehicle, nor did I see anywhere online that these were "premium" vehicles. Their policy online states that you could use a debit card if you have a return airline ticket, which we did. The Asian lady at the counter was extremely rude, which caused me to become even more frustrated. She walked away from the counter and a "manager" stepped in. She offered us 2 Nissan Rogues, with a very SLIGHT/MINIMAL discount and we could return both vehicles empty. I had no choice but to accept those 2 vehicles, as I had my 4 young grand children with me. They made us feel horrible and left us with a feeling of being "stranded" if we didn't take those 2 vehicles. The only other option they left us with was to go to another location off site to see if they could accommodate us. WTF!! All 10 of us would have had to catch an Uber/Lyft to an off site location. I contacted the corporate office and was told they would get a regional manager involved. I NEVER heard from anyone!! The only apology that we received was from the young gentleman who checked the vehicles in upon return, as he was there when we first checked in on December 27th. Kudos to that young man!! And while we were returning the vehicles, the same Asian lady who was rude to me at the counter upon arrival, got out of a car and walked right past us with a horrible attitude!! Heads up corporate office/manager: perhaps you need to train your counter employees to be a bit more compassionate. I have been home a week now and I still have not been contacted by a so-called regional manager or anyone from corporate for that matter. I will NEVER rent from Enterprise ever again!! read more

I have decided to boycott Enterprise as a rental car provider as they are unable to provide the car you reserve, give you no viable options and rush you off the lot so they don't have to do their job. I spent a good deal of money to rent a standard SUV from this location. They provided a compact SUV which was not acceptable as I was moving a good amount of materials from southern California to northern California and the SUV provided did not accommodate the need. As a result I will face added expense, far more than the cost of the rental, in having to do another trip down. They did nothing to make up for their failure and their response to my dispute of the credit charge was that I signed the contract so basically "screw you". Compared to other car rental companies, I have never experienced a problem with Enterprise and it has been my "go-to" for my travels ever since. This was my third time renting from the Long Beach Airport location. When we have arrived, there was a longer wait than usual on disclosing a car due to late returns. Nicole was our associate and she had been so sweet and helpful in trying to take care of us. Instead of the premium order that we had reserved, she had offered a standard vehicle for a lower price since it was the first one available. The vehicle was nice and clean, and there were barely any damages but a few minor scratches. Upon returning the vehicle before our flight departure in the early morning, we were approached immediately by Ashley with a huge smile on her face and she had made sure we were satisfied with our experience.
