I had a really positive experience renting here! I needed a large vehicle that would fit at least 7 people, a dog and suitcases. It was difficult to figure out exactly what I should book online so I went to the office to speak with someone. Jay was really helpful and told me right away the 15 passenger van was the next bigger vehicle and probably the best for my needs. I was ready to book through him but he said he would have to charge me a walk-in rate, which is apparently more expensive than booking online. This office is also closed on Sundays and he said I can return the van at another nearby office in Signal Hill that's open on Sundays. So helpful! Booking online was super easy. The staff were also really nice and helpful when I picked up the van. Daniel walked me to the van, he took some pictures and told me it just needs to be returned with 3/4 tank of gas, which is what it had. The van was clean and in good condition. He said, "You' may be small, but I have faith in you driving this!" LOL! It was awkward and a bit nerve racking driving it at first, but got used to it pretty quickly. Great visibility being higher up and with big windows. It's also really smooth and good on gas! It got us through the desert and was perfect for us for the week we needed it. read more

After a car accident I obtained a rental through Long Beach Enterpriseon Ocean in downtown. Upon arriving, I met with Bryan, very friendly and sympathetic to my situation as well as accommodating. There were a couple cars available for me to choose between, he was patient and allowed me to sit in each car to see which I was comfortable in. Bryan was so patient. He even stated that at any time I was struggling with the car size I could exchange in for another within the same class, he wanted me to be comfortable. I had to call the office a few times with questions. I spoke with Umi who was so helpful and polite, very knowledgeable as was Bryan. Umi, took the time to call me and let me.know my rental had been extended to ease my mind while I shopped for another car. This office goes above and beyond to care for their customers. I used to be a Hertz customer but Bryan & Umi converted me into an Enterprise customer. Thank you both for everything. Yall made a stressful situation more bearable. read more

Landed in Long Beach from a six day cruise. Booked a same-day car rental from this Ocean Boulevard location. Was going to drop off at LAX. Had a confirmation for an economy rental car, pick up at 10:30am. Used Uber to move ourselves and luggage from Long Beach Port to this ocean blvd location. Upon arrival to the office, there was no enterprise employee in the office. The phone was ringing for 30 minutes straight, five other customers waiting to be helped and checked in. Only to have the attendant return after 40minutes and say they did not have any cars available for rental. Even though we had a confirmed booking from enterprise. They had cars available but we were told because our reservation was same day we would not be rented the vehicle because others had reserved them. When I asked why we have a rental confirmation but no vehicle to rent the employees response was, "That's a corporate issue". We called every single rental within a 2 mile radius and found one vehicle available for $289 for the day. We ended up having to pay for another uber to LAX and when we contacted enterprise they offered no remedy. Their response was, "The branch should have called and informed you that they did not have vehicles once they received the booking confirmation." I will purposely avoid ever renting from enterprise rent a car. I will also urge my family who use rental vehicles regularly for business trips to do the same. So instead of being able to enjoy our last day in LA, we have now been sitting at LAX for over 7hours. read more

After being rejected from MULTIPLE enterprises for an exchange of vehicle, Alex was extremely helpful from initial contact to the end. As soon as my claim was filed, she called me within minutes of hanging up with my insurance. She quickly set me up with a vehicle but I noticed there was a distinct smell that I was not comfortable with. Nonetheless, Alex gave me multiple options that satisfied my experience. Being in the customer service space, I always appreciate when someone goes above and beyond for me. I can confidently say, Alex is someone that does that. There is no secret as to why she is a manager! If it wasn't for her, I would have more than likely canceled my rental with enterprise and gone with someone else. I just reviewed the last Vegas branch because we just got off from our a week vacation and about to pick up my reservation however this particular branch screw me over I can rent a car and I have a money for it. Not on credit car But after I talked to escalation team and put them on speaker I make sure they hear it and you know what they did? They gave away the car that I wanted to rent and the customer service on the phone informed me before transferring me to the escalation team that this branch ran out of vehicles. I don't think that a customer's problem I think it's a you (branch) problem for not managing your team. read more

After an accident I was assigned to this branch to pick up a rental, an employee picked me up from the local collision shop and drove me to the office. The office staff was friendly and walked me through the entire process as this was my first time ever renting a car. I returned the car almost 3 weeks later, I was able to take it in person as opposed to leaving it at the collision shop, and they briefly inspected the car, and closed off the rental agreement. If I ever have to rent a car again, I would consider this branch. read more

I am not one to write negative reviews, but this place more than deserves it. I have never had this kind of issue with a business before. I am appalled and disappointed in the customer service provided by this office. My husband and I got into a small car accident about a month ago, and had to rent a car while ours was repaired. When we picked up the car, the agent offered an additional protection plan "for a few days," and we agreed to 3 days worth of the protection plan as we had to drive out of state. We asked if the protection plan would self terminate or if we had to do anything to end the plan. The agent assured us that the protection plan "would fall off in three days." My husband specifically asked if we needed to make any calls to remove this, and she said "no, it'll fall off on its own." One month has passed and the time came to settle our contract. Turns out the protection plan we were sold did NOT fall off, but enterprise was charging us $37 per day for the protection plan that was supposed to only have lasted 3 days. I spoke to two agents at this location, including the one who sold me the plan. The one who sold me the plan went as far as admit to telling us we didn't need to call anyone to remove the plan, but somehow I have been told by two agents that it's their policy that we have to go into an Enterprise location to remove the protection plan. This is not what we were told. There were two of us listening for instructions and we were NOT told to go into an Enterprise to remove the plan. We were told it would fall off. We are not liars. We are not slackers. Had I been told I had to go into an agency, I would have booked the appropriate appointment that same day. There was a mistake in their end. A miscommunication. Use whatever term you want to use. But it is NOT our fault that this protection plan we didn't want got charged. This mistake was on Enterprise's hands. We never wanted the protection plan beyond the 3 days. I should not be paying $1,000 for their mistake. I cannot understand why this branch won't issue me a refund for their mistake. This is worse level of customer service I've ever seen. I have spoken with a different branch who is trying to help me close this issue out and they are also flabbergasted as to why this Enterprise can't own up to their mistake and reimburse me. I should not be paying for their mistake. Pick somewhere else to rent your car. This place runs scams and does NOT take care of their customers. It's so ironic I've been on hold for so long hearing about their "standard of care" and "standard of customer service." What a joke. This place is a joke. My first hint that they are shady should have been when they put me in a more expensive car than what I asked because supposedly nothing else was available. I wanted a $30/day car, but they put me in a $42/day car instead "at a discount" because of availability. And now they've been charging an additional $37/day! For something I didn't want. Their mistake. Ps- im not paying that $1,000. I will be in touch with BBB this afternoon. read more

Overall, we were happy with our rental, which was a one way from Portland OR to Long Beach, CA. However, a pair of Tory Burch sunglasses were left in the center console. We called the next day to retrieve and was told they were not there. So disappointed that they have dishonest employees at this location. read more

So I had to send the city of LB the info showing it wasn't in my possession, so now Enterprise has to pay like they already should have. Their corporate never replied to my two emails either. Today was my first time experiencing racism. When I got there, Area Branch Manager (heavy white male) was hostile. I told him my name on the reservation, he said we met. I said yes we have, I thought I met him in person! He advised me we met via text. I said ok. He said I kept a rental for several days, I advised him I did not remember and I asked if I owed any money. He said no but he can look up the reservation to fresh my memory. At this point, I could not figure out what is his point of this conversation, so I said, I just want to rent a vehicle that is it. I gave him my driver license and he asked why I still have an out of state license (like him and I are friends) so I advised him I live out of state and travel back and forth. I gave him my credit card that I used for all my rentals. He said we can't take this card because it is a debt card, it was chime credit card. I told him it's a credit card and I've used it literally a month ago for my rental and had no issues. He said, "Well I'm not taking it" I was very annoyed so I walked out the building called customer service and spoke to a manager and she explained the branch I am renting is high risk for fraud of people using chime. Which that's all the area manager had to say. I told her thank you for explaining and she asked to speak to my area manager. He stated who he was and that he doesn't take orders from her. Now I have a Wells Fargo credit card. I could have easily gave it to him but his hostile attitude and i refused to pay more money towards his paycheck so I happily took my money to another rental car company. Please bring Tyler and remove that area manager! I do not how he made it as an area manager with zero empathy towards people. This man had me in tears because if he would have started the conversation differently this review would have never happened and also be told by customer service she can't file a complaint against him due to his title is flat out ridiculous! If you keep that man around customers I see a discrimination lawsuit against enterprise in the future! Also, after researching, when I had the rental for three days extra- I was exposed to Covid and in the hospital! What I owed was paid in FULL, the day the rental car was returned. read more

We confirmed multiple times that after the repair we could drop the car with the repair company since they had an account with them. We called before we dropped off the vehicle that we didn't need to bring it back to enterprise. We were told by MULTIPLE enterprise AND repair company employees that we could leave the car with them and it would be returned. Now enterprise is harassing my wife 2 WEEKS LATER!!!! These guys helped me out a ton. I needed a bigger, more comfortable rig for my beer road trip up the west coast, and they made it happen without hesitation. I called from the road and they were ready to go with a much nicer SUV the second I pulled in. So nice. This is an Enterprise review, not a Nissan Armada review, but I gotta say that's a great ride. So comfortable, so many nice features. Decent in corners for an SUV, and great acceleration. Tons of room for luggage and beer. I used Enterprise to rent a car after I totaled my car. Somehow the reservation was made under my job and not my insurance company. There was a huge misunderstanding and payment issues. I had to make another reservation with a different car that my insurance would cover. It was an absolute mess. The only thing that made up for it was the manager, Tiffany. She advocated for me, really helped me out, did her best to meet my car demands to make sure that I felt comfortable and confident in this entire process. I almost lost faith in Enterprise, but knowing that they employ people like Tiffany really makes me feel comfortable renting from them in the future. read more

Amazing service. Got a call the night before to confirm my rental which has never happened before. I went in to show my if and card then was asked to sit outside on the bench to wait for the one who will walk me to the car. Jason was amazing. I lost my dad during new years, and upon knowing this information they kindly gave me a refund and were very warm in their approach by first asking me how I was. I remember that day when me and my dad rented a car and he kept praising how the workers at enterprise were very kind and accommodating and just how they are overall excellent at customer service. Twice, already, I have been on hold to speak to someone regarding my current reservations over 15 minutes. 1st time: I scheduled a time for someone to pick me up at 8:15a I couldn't get I couldn't get in contact with anyone until after 9a. 2nd time: as I'm typing this, I've been on hold for 1:15 minutes. No one has picked up the phone to say anything but I hear someone pick up and the phone clicks back to the automatic hold message. I rented here for the convenience, but never again. read more
